Rome Private Golf Cart Tour: Highlights & Hidden Gems

This was an awesome experience! I was able to book it only about an hour and a half in advance. My Driver/Guide Luca was amazing! He went above and beyond to make sure it was an enjoyable experience. We were doing the tour in the evening and when it got cold, he even had an extra hat to give me! He picked me up where I was sightseeing, took me on a personal tour to all of the places I wanted to see, and dropped me off three hours later at my hotel. He took me to view points for perfect night time photography that I never could have found on my own. This evening golf cart tour of Rome with Luca is definitely a highlight of my visit to Rome! What a great way to spend the afternoon. We covered so much and our guide, Mattia, was awesome! (I recommend asking for him.) The only issue, before booking this tour, I contacted them to ask if there was a golf cart that would hold 6, they said yes. But 2 smaller carts showed up so our group had to split up. They said they didn't have cats to hold all 6 of us.

Tour was great and informative… only change would be to add headsets so everyone could hear the information while diving. Great start for the first day in Rome and see all the Highlights and go back to the areas you want to spend more time. Matthias was knowledgeable and more importantly safe on the road while talking, a lot of craziness out there. Overall, highly recommend!

We had so much fun on our tour with Mattia! Such a cool way to see the city. He was wonderful, took us to some hidden gems worth seeing that not many tourists know. He recommended delicious places to eat, we got pizza, and dropped us off at the colosseum in time for our tour. Would absolutely recommend!

We had the best time with Tomaso. He was very knowledgeable, attentive and very pleasant. He took us to all the important landmarks as promised and was very patient at the stops we wanted to take extra time at for photos, etc. The golf cart was very comfortable and was equipped with seatbelts and prepared for all weather conditions. I highly recommend Tomaso and his golf cart tour to anyone who is wanting a great experience and is weary of the traditional walking tours.

The guide Alessandro a was fun and energetic guide. We were able to see the highlights of Rome including a place we have never heard of. It was a lot of fun.

Driver was very nice, and took us to one of the two stops we requested. The company website mentions headphones, those were not provided, however the guide didn’t provide very much detail anyway as we were driving other than to name the sites we were seeing. The driver spent a lot of the time on phone calls. We passed many other golf carts tours, who were giving more detailed explanations & with headsets or microphones. A convenient way to see the city on a day when you’re tired, but most expensive than the actual experience is worth.

We had so much fun! When we got on board we told Patrizio we would need dinner and he took us to grab food to go! We told him places we wanted to see and he drove us all over and allowed us to get out and take photos. Definitely worth it. Do it on your first day!

Valerio, our driver was fantastic! We were only in Rome for a few hours and got to see everything a tourist would see in a few hours! We got picked up at a convenient location and got dropped off at the train station to head back to our destination! I highly suggest booking your tour through this company especially if you have issues with mobility like one of my family members has.

Matteo is one of the best guides we’ve had!!!! He took us to all the well know spots and let us stop for photos and to wander around at our leisure and he also took us to his favourite lesser known ones. Off the beaten-path ones, which were incredible!!! We never feel rushed and could take as much time as we liked at each stop… This is a tour you must do, you won’t be disappointed, thanks Matteo, you made our time trip unforgettable!!!!!!

This was the perfect experience for our family on our first full day in Rome. It was a jet-lag day for us, and we wanted an overview of the main sights that was easy and comfortable. Zipping through Rome in a golf cart was not only really run, but also let us cover much more ground than we ever could have on foot. It gave us our bearings and helped us decide where we wanted to return later. Our guide, Greta, was fantastic. She was very flexible when we wanted to spend more time in certain destinations and she was so kind to our two girls. She also took us to a couple secret spots and recommended some of our best gelato so far. Highly recommend!

Our ride around Rome was fantastic! Greta, our guide, was just awesome. We told her what we wanted to see and she accommodated us easy peasy. She even made sure we could stop so I could do a quick run into a Christmas store. Greta was friendly and knowledgeable, and I would highly recommend her and the tour to anyone who’s looking to see a lot of Rome in a little of time.

We had an amazing experience with Rome & Ride! Our group of five friends had such a fantastic time, and it turned out to be one of the best ways to explore Rome. A special thanks to Giacomo, who was an outstanding driver and guide. He showed us the city from a completely different perspective, taking us through hidden streets and charming local spots that you would never discover unless you actually lived in Rome. Even though I had already visited Rome several times, this was by far the best way I’ve ever experienced the city. The places where we stopped for food were also excellent—authentic, local, and far away from the typical tourist traps. It really felt like we were experiencing the real Rome. This was a wonderful way to end our stay in Rome. Even when you think you have seen it all, your guide will show you things you didn’t even know about. Marco tailored our trip after listening to what we had already seen and what we wanted to see.

Giacomo’s tour was extremely nice and well organised. During the 3 hours he drove us around Prati, Castel Sant’Angelo, Piazza del Popolo, the Vatican, and to the narrow streets in the city centre, telling us more on the history of these buildings. He then recommended us lots of places to eat and to visit after the tour. For instance, one evening we went to “quartiere Coppedè” where you can find the most unique buildings. I would definitely recommend the experience if you want to hear a local’s perspective and have a unique memory of your time in Rome

Amazing experience! Greta is the best driver. We had the chance to see places we wouldn’t have otherwise seen ourselves. She shared a lot of recommendations for restaurants and ice creams! Would totally recommend!

We did the 2-hour golf cart tour on our first day in Rome and it was one of the best things we did all trip. The biggest difference was our guide Vasco. He knew so much about the city's history, but also gave us loads of genuinely useful tips on where to eat, which places were worth visiting, the best times to go, and how to get tickets. We ended up using a lot of those recommendations over the next few days. The golf cart is really comfortable and gives you great views, which is perfect in a city like Rome where there's always something interesting around the next corner. I also liked that the tour wasn't fixed—we could stop whenever we wanted and the route was adapted to what we were interested in seeing. If it's your first time in Rome, I'd definitely recommend it. It's a great way to get your bearings and make the most of the rest of your trip.

Would highly recommend. Ask for Vasco as guide! We did a tour the previous day with another vendor but this one was much better. He really knows the history of the city and it makes a difference! Thank you Capo!
