Itinerary
Designed during the urban redevelopment undertaken after Rome was declared capital of Italy, the Piazza della Repubblica is one of the most important squares of the city, and extremely striking. The Piazza della Repubblica is made up of a large roundabout with an exquisite fountain, Fontana delle Naiadi, surrounded by imposing buildings on one side and a seemingly demolished temple on the other.
The Quirinal Palace (known in Italian as the Palazzo del Quirinale or simply Quirinale) is a historic building in Rome, Italy, one of the three current official residences of the President of the Italian Republic, together with Villa Rosebery in Naples and Tenuta di Castelporziano in Rome. It is located on the Quirinal Hill, the highest of the seven hills of Rome in an area colloquially called Monte Cavallo. It has housed thirty Popes, four Kings of Italy and twelve presidents of the Italian Republic.
Trevi Fountain is the most beautiful fountain in Rome. Measuring some 20 meters in width by 26 meters in height, Trevi Fountain is also the largest fountain in the city. The origins of the fountain go back to the year 19 B.C., in which period the fountain formed the end of the Aqua Virgo aqueduct. The first fountain was built during the Renaissance, under the direction of Pope Nicholas V. The final appearance of the Trevi Fountain dates from 1762, when after many years of works at the hand of Nicola Salvi, it was finalized by Giuseppe Pannini. Interestingly enough, the name of Trevi derives from Tre Vie (three ways), since the fountain was the meeting point of three streets.
The Pantheon of Agrippa, also known as the Roman Pantheon, is one of the architectural masterpieces of the Italian capital. It is the best preserved building from ancient Rome. Completed in 126AD, was a Roman temple with a surprising oculus that is the building's main source of natural light.
Piazza Navona is one of Rome’s most iconic and vibrant squares, built on the site of an ancient Roman stadium. Known for its stunning Baroque architecture, lively atmosphere, and beautiful fountains—including Bernini’s famous Fountain of the Four Rivers
St Peter’s Square or Piazza San Pietro is probably one of the world’s most famous squares and one of the most breath-taking. It is located in Vatican City, at the feet of St. Peter's Basilica. Designed by Bernini during the seventeenth century, it houses over 300,000 people.
Janiculum Hill, considered by many as the eighth hill of Rome, is a peaceful and refreshing attraction close to the city center. It's situated just outside the ancient city and is a great place to visit to get away from the bustle of Rome. Not to mention that the panorama from the top of the hill is breath-taking. As you walk up its pathways, you'll enjoy superb views of the city. Janiculum became very popular due to the important historical role that it played in the defence of the city. Becoming the setting for the battle in which Garibaldi repelled an attack from French troops, its paths are full of sculptures of the heroes, including Giuseppe Garibaldi.
Soak up the neighbourhood’s bohemian atmosphere and its numerous landmarks. You'll enjoy a drive through the authentic soul of Rome's alleys and typical trattorias, passing by the picturesque Jewish Ghetto.
Inaugurated in 1911 to pay respect to Victor Emmanuel II, the Monumento Nazionale a Vittorio Emanuele II (Altare della Patria) is an imposing building located in Piazza Venezia. It provides some breath-taking views of Rome. The Monumento Nazionale a Vittorio Emanuele was inaugurated in 1911 as a tribute to Victor Emmanuel II, the first king of Italy after the country's unification. Inside the building is the Institute for the History of the Italian Risorgimento and the Central Museum of the Risorgimento. Since 1921, the Victor Emmanuel Monument holds the tomb of the unknown soldier, a place in which the eternal flame shines and which is always guarded by two soldiers.
Known as the Flavian Amphitheatre, the Roman Colosseum is one of the capital's most remarkable monuments. Every year over 6 million people visit it. The Colosseum is the main symbol of Rome. It is an imposing construction that, with almost 2,000 years of history, will bring you back in time to discover the way of life in the Roman Empire.
The Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore is an ancient Catholic basilica that is considered to be the largest of the churches dedicated to the Virgin Mary in Rome. It is one of the city’s four major basilicas.

The perfect Rome experience. Prompt hotel pickup, charming guide in Alessio, and 3hrs of exploring icons such as the colosseum, Trevi fountain, Panthenon in addition to the Vatican, scenic views, winding cobbled backstreets. Pausing for excellent coffee, cornettos, pizzas & pints what more could one want for a taste of ‘La dolce vita’. Perfetto 👌
Went on this tour with my wife and two children (age 12&14). Absolutely fantastic trip around Rome with Vespa Sidecar Tours. Brilliant guide, really knowledgeable and never stopped talking (which was great!), and two lovely drivers. Visited some great sites, loads of photo opportunities and a fab stop for coffee and croissants. Kids loved the fact that lots of tourists waking around were taking photos and videos of us!! They felt like cekebs!! Would highly recommend these guys.
This was our "funnest" day in Rome. Was had a blast, learned a lot, and saw so much of the city in our tour. With me on a walker and another guest with mobility issues, we couldn't have asked for better accompaniment. The guide and the drivers were very conscientous of our needs and very helpful. Be prepared for a rough ride but that is due to the cobblestones and nothing the guys could have done Bout it. It was an awesome experience!
The tour was amazing along with our guides. It was safe and definitely recommend if you get a chance.
what an amazing team and an unforgettable experience! We had an incredible trip, saw all the iconic monuments, and felt like celebrities the entire time! The team made the whole experience extra special. Highly recommended!
Amazing way to see the city! Our guide was great- giving us history of the city and building as we drove around. Tickets to go into the Trevi fountain lower area and inside the Pantheon were included. It was great to skip the line at both of these very busy spots and have an extra history lesson while we were there. I would recommend this tour to everyone coming to Rome and would do it again if I come back! Thank you!
This was an amazing way to see Rome! So unique and fun! Our guide gave us some great history of Rome as we drove around the city- and of certain buildings. The stops at the Trevi fountain and Pantheon were great- tickets included so we skipped the long lines and had a little extra history included in these spots as well. Just an awesome experience- I would recommend this to anyone coming to Rome and would do it again if we come back. Thank you!
An amazing way to see Rome! My mom and I did the Vespa sidecar tour with Matteo, and it was a highlight of our trip. Matteo was a fantastic guide, with incredible attention to detail that made the experience feel really special. My mom rode in the sidecar, and it was such a fun way for us to explore the city together. Don’t let age put you off — this is a wonderful experience for a mother-daughter trip! Highly recommend if you’re visiting Rome. We’ll remember this one for a long time. 🇮🇹
Fantastic tour! Best way to get around Rome. The tour guide was fantastic and knowledgeable. Highly recommend
If you’re visiting Rome, this Vespa tour is an absolute MUST! Hands down, it was the highlight of our time in this beautiful city! Mateo and Fabrizio were absolutely fantastic! We saw and experienced so much more of Rome than we ever could have on foot or from a large tour bus. Zipping through the charming little streets and hidden corners of the city was such a unique and unforgettable experience. Mateo’s enthusiasm was contagious! His knowledge of Rome’s incredible history, along with his passion for sharing it, made every stop interesting and memorable. Fabrizio was equally wonderful—so patient, kind, and an incredibly fun driver! They both made us feel comfortable and truly made the experience special. We laughed, learned, explored, and made memories we’ll treasure forever. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to experience Rome. If you’re considering this tour, BOOK IT! And if you’re lucky enough to have Mateo and Fabrizio, you’re in for an amazing experience! 🇮🇹❤️
A wonderful way to experience the city of Rome and her architecture. I recommend doing this tour at the beginning of a vacation ; as it will give you a better perspective of the city. The guides were prompt and knowledgeable and escorted us through the lines with our tickets already purchased. This made for a relaxing process that we could enjoy. I big shout out to Alessio and our other driver! I would book this tour again and with # TEAM ALESSIO
11/10 Alessio our driver was incredibly interesting knowledgeable & funny… Great morning.
This tour was amazing! The sidecars are fun to ride along on and the drivers know what they are doing in the crazy traffic, it’s more side roads then main roads and the views we saw along the way at each stop was incredible, our guide was friendly and helpful.
Overall, a fantastic experience. Our driver was personable and knowledgeable--the perfect guide.
Best way to see Rome! So many great surprises & sights that I didn’t expect to see! Highly recommend, tour guides were great, knowledgeable and safe throughout the streets. Great cappuccino was delicious. Amazing experience, don’t hesitate it’s a must book!
Soo much fun! Could not recommend this tour more. The guide and drivers were all awesome. Such a fun way to see the city!!
We did a private morning Tour with the family. It was truly amazing. We would definetly do it again and can only recommend this incredible activity. Thank you very much for everyting.
From the outset this looked like a unique perspective on Roma. But that is only just the start. As soon as I booked, I received a friendly message from the company explaining what the tour would mean for me as a solo traveller. Nothing bad, just reassuring me that they’d look after me and that I’d still get to experience both the side car and riding behind the driver. It was a good sign this was going to be a thoughtful and considerate tour. When I got to the easy to find meeting point, I was greeted by name. I watched as they greeted other passengers in a similar way. The director of the tour is one of the few Chinese speaking guides in Roma and a group of Taiwanese were welcomed effusively. If you don’t like being the centre of attention this might not be the tour for you. From the outset, pedestrians along our route ogled and took photos of us lucky few. Our guide told us we were celebrities! As a previous visitor to Roma, I didn’t need to see the main sites such as Trevi Fountain and the colosseum but the morning ride was a perfect time for visiting them and sharing in my fellow tourists joy as well as getting our true Roman guides perspective. I simply can not recommend this experience more highly. It ticks all the boxes, almost irrespective of what your goals as a visitor to Roma are. A tour of the sites, friendly, knowledgeable guides, the chance to be a celebrity for a few hours.
Absolutely fabulous experience highly recommended, best way to see the City. Claudio the guide was knowledgeable and gave us plenty of information and time at each attraction along with fabulous photography skills and with Max our driver we felt totally safe, loved it
A few years ago, we did a similar sidecar tour in Singapore, so when we discovered that you could do it in Rome, we were thrilled. Because really, what could be more Italian than experiencing the Eternal City on a Vespa — well, technically, in the sidecar of a Vespa! :) We opted for the 3-hour morning tour, and it was simply amazing. In our opinion, this truly is one of the best ways to experience Rome. What we loved right from the beginning is that they actually listen to what you want to see and experience and will customize the route to your interests. They picked us up directly at our hotel. In our case, we had two Vespas with two fantastic drivers, plus a separate guide. We were given headphones, so we could hear our guide perfectly while riding, ask questions along the way, and learn about the city without missing a thing. And you don't just drive around and look at the sights. You stop several times, either for photos, to explore a landmark, or simply to take in the views. And one of the biggest advantages? You sidestep the lines!! We stopped at the Trevi Fountain, where our guide took us right down to the fountain and even took photos of us. We visited the Pantheon, again skipping the lines, and our guide gave us a fascinating explanation of the history and architecture. We also stopped at the Colosseum for photos, along with several other incredible viewpoints around the city. And then there was a coffee break at a cute little restaurant, where we had what may have been the best filled croissants we have ever tasted! This is the coolest way to explore Rome, learn about its history and make some unforgettable memories along the way! Three hours went by far too quickly. The entire experience was incredibly well organized, fun and informative. You get to see so much more of Rome than you ever could on foot, while still having plenty of opportunities to stop, explore and take photos. If you're visiting Rome and want to experience the city in a completely different way, we can only highly recommend a Vespa Sidecar Tour.
Mateo hands down was the best tour guide fo me and Maximo was the safest and thoughtful driver! I had taken the tour by myself but never felt alone. It was so much fun zipping around Rome in a Vespa sidecar. We received so many looks, waves, smiles, and laughter while passing people. It was impressive and I was pleasantly surprised how smooth the tour had gone. I was not expecting entrance to the Trevi fountain photo line and actually going inside the Pantheon. We walked right thru in both places and was given historical insights. We even stopped at a sidewalk cafe and had a table waiting for us to have a cappuccino and cornetto. The guide and drivers took pictures and knew the best spots for photographs all while commenting on the beautiful open aired museum around us. Really made Rome come to life for me🥰
Incredible tour of the city and such a fantastic way to see it. We did our tour with Matteo and he was so knowledgeable, so personable. Really enjoyed our time with him. Definitely recommend seeing the city this way at the beginning of your trip because now we know what all we want to back and spend more time at. The Pantheon was so amazing and really glad we could spend so much time in there. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to learn about the history of Rome rather than only see it.
Well you do not want to miss this!!! It’s an amazing way of seeing the sights of Rome with a truly know and friendly guide. If I could give it more than 10 we would. Every attraction we came to our guide negotiated the crowds and we got prime position which at the Trevi fountains is no mean task. 👍🛵 We can honestly say it made our holiday. Thankyou and will definitely recommend to our friends. Five star
This was the most unique way to see Rome!! I don’t care where they would’ve taken me, but it was outstanding to be in a line of 10 of these vehicles! We looked so cool!! But the tourist stops were great, the breakfast place was satisfying and I’d recommend this to anyone who wants a unique experience!!
This was a fun tour with great stops. Our guide Matteo and our driver Alessandro were fantastic! It was extremely hot out but it was not bothersome at all.
This tour was AMAZING! We had a single day in Rome before we flew back home, and it was the best way to see the city quickly. Not to mention, it was HOT in rome and the Vespa tour was the only way to stay cool while seeing all the sights Rome has to offer. Our guide was amazing. Informative, friendly, and very funny. For sure a highlight of our trip.
Fantastic tour of the most beautiful city on earth, the city of love, Roma. Guided by the multi linguistic legend Gao Le! Thanks for an unforgettable ride guys it was magical!
This is the second time I have done this tour because it is so much fun and the best way to see all around Rome in comfort and with a guided commentary. The guides are helpful and very informative. There is plenty of time for photos and a stop for coffee and croissants. It is very safe and so enjoyable.
Best way to see all the sights in Rome in comfort and having a fun time. This is the second time we have done this tour because we enjoyed it so much . It’s informative and an easy way to get all those sought after movies and photo memories. The crew are so helpful and morning tea is included at a local cafe.
Super cool experience with Vespa team! 3 hours trip throughout the whole city, including entrance to Trevi Fountain and Pantheon with a nice cappuccino and cornetto breakfast on the stop.
A wonderful and unforgettable Vespa sidecar tour experience! Our guide (Alex and Massimo)was excellent — professional, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. The explanations were detailed and engaging, and we were very impressed by their fluent Chinese, which made the tour perfect for our family. The guide’s passion, kindness, and attention to detail truly made a difference. We learned so much while having great fun along the way. My family and I were extremely satisfied with the experience and would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city. Thank you for creating such a memorable journey for us!
We booked the Vespa Sidecar Tour for our family of six, and it was one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Rome. From start to finish, everything was incredibly well organised. The team was friendly, welcoming and professional, making us feel safe and relaxed from the moment we arrived. Riding through the streets of Rome in the sidecars and pillion was such a unique way to experience the city, and the route took us to all the iconic sights as well as some beautiful viewpoints we would never have found on our own. Our guides were knowledgeable, fun and clearly passionate about Rome. They shared fascinating stories and local history while keeping the tour entertaining for both the adults and the children. We never felt rushed, and there were plenty of opportunities to stop for photos and take in the incredible views. Travelling as a group of six, everything ran seamlessly, and the guides made sure we stayed together and everyone had an amazing experience. The combination of sightseeing, local knowledge, the excitement of the Vespas and the stunning scenery made for an unforgettable adventure. If you’re visiting Rome, don’t hesitate to book this tour. It offers a completely different perspective of the city and creates memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you to the whole team for giving our family such a wonderful adventure—we’ll be talking about it for years to come!
This is the best tour I’ve ever been on! It’s a great and fun way to see Rome and see areas you may have overlooked or not seen yet. The tour guides are incredible and make sure to interact with each person/family. People will be taking pictures and videos of you everywhere you go! I would recommend this tour to everyone!
Unbelievable experience- if you do nothing else in Rome, make sure you do this. So well run, really informative, safe and so much fun. It’s honestly been the highlight of our trip
Great whistle stop tour. Great guide, perfect amount of time on bikes and in the attractions. Excellent guides. Seriously - nothing to fault. Do it
I booked a surprise trip to Rome for my husband’s birthday. We did the Vespa morning tour on our first morning in Rome as I thought it would be a great way to see the sights on the first day. It was absolutely fantastic. Everything was well organised. Felt very safe and comfortable. It was very hot and the guides had a spray water mist and bottles of water to cool us down. Our guide was very knowledgeable and took photos at all the stops. He knew all the best places to get the best photos! The coffee stop was a lovely touch too. I wasn’t expecting a restaurant stop with a choice of drink. The croissants were delicious and it was good to have a toilet stop. I have already recommended to friends that have asked me for tips when going to Rome. It was the highlight of our trip.
Words can’t describe how much my family and I enjoyed this tour. Riding around Rome on a vespa/sidecar while taking in all the incredible sights and learning the history was such a unique and unforgettable experience! The guides/drivers were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make sure everyone was comfortable. 10/10 would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rome, and I would absolutely do it again if I ever find myself back here!
My husband and I loved our Vespa tour around Rome to see many highlights! Our guide was wonderful & made the tour exciting & fun! We stopped for a light breakfast at a cafe along the way. We give you 5 stars! Thanks for such an enjoyable experience.
We had a great time with this Vespa group. We got the meetup location mixed up and were running about 10 minutes late, but we called them and they let us meet them at the second pickup point and we hopped on from there. Didn’t even miss anything. Loved when our driver went super fast and it was so fun watching them weave through traffic and cut people off. They even took some photos of us on the bike. My only feedback, would be to make sure you wear appropriate clothing for the Pantheon or bring a scarf/longer pants. I don’t remember our drivers name, but it started with an F and his bike was carrying the waters for everyone. Thanks so much for a great time!
This activity was so much fun!!! The guide gave us valuable and enjoyable information during the tour as well as at the Pantheon and the Trevi fountain. We highly recommend this activity! One to remember!
An amazing way to see the main sites of Rome, with an experienced team of riders and guide. Would highly recommend this unique experience.
Seriously the best thing we did on our whole trip! We had so much fun and a special thanks to our driver Massimo!?
The Vespa Tour was fantastic. Matteo was an excellent guide and provided much detail on everything that we saw. Our driver Alex, was also great. Took pictures of us was an excellent driver.
We took our family of 4 (kids 12&14) on this wonderful adventure. Aleessio and his partner took us all around the city and into the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain as well as seeing numerous sites along the way. They knew excellent spots for family photo ops. You are given an ear piece so while you are riding you can hear about the sites you are seeing. You definately get around to parts of the city that would not be easily accessible to cars or buses. We covered miles and miles of the city in just a few short hours. You definately need to do this!
Wow, we have been to Rome 7 times. This is by far the best experience. From start to finish our guide Luca was brilliant. His knowledge of this great city was second to none. What an amazing man. He is a credit to the company. Would definitely recommend doing this tour, you will not regret it. Thanks Luca. Ciao Andy and Gail. X
We spent our first morning in Rome on the Vespa side car tour. The meeting point was easy to find and our tour guide Matteo provided a memorable experience. What a fun way to get an overview of the city and famous sights. The morning tour included coffee and a delicious filled cornetti at a cafe. The drivers took excellent care of us and we had opportunities to switch sitting behind the driver and sidecar at each stop. This was our favorite tour in Rome!
Matteo was great!! Learned so much about the city and was so fun riding on the Vespa and the side car!
This tour was an excellent way to see all of the best sights in Rome. Mateo is a knowledgeable guide who loves his city and shares all of the history and facts in excellent English. I recommend doing the tour on your first day in Rome. It will give you an idea of places you’ll want to return to later in your trip.
We walked around Rome yesterday and took in many of the sites, but Mateo our tour guide was able to give us the history of Rome wherever we drove past. They gave us plenty of opportunities for photos and prime locations and access to prime locations as well! Was suggested this trip from others and so glad that we did this on our trip to Rome.
