Alessandro was a 10/10 guide! He had a wonderful positive energy, paired with deep knowledge of the Jewish Ghetto, Jewish history, and Trastavere. He kept us engaged the entire time. The pace was perfect. His love for the area was apparent and contagious. Wonderful tour.

Our guide, Yash, was outstanding! He is extremely knowledgeable and informative. Also has a great personality. We found both parts of the tour interesting and enjoyable.
The young man (Yoshi?) who led us was very nice, but I would have liked a more in depth experience. It was a pleasant walkabout.
Loved this tour, so much information. Fabio was the best! Highly recommend small group tours as we had no problem hearing him (this tour had no headphones) and he was very knowledgeable and answered questions people had. Was looking forward to going back after tour ended to go into the two museums but both were closed on Sunday. Not the fault of this tour though.
Fabio was very knowledgeable and informative, as well as entertaining. The tour was well paced and enjoyable for our group of four.
It does require lots of walking, so be prepared to cover a lot of ground at a fairly quick pace. Guide was kind.
Lots of interesting historical info shared. One of our favorite tours so far. Our guide was delightful.
Alessandro was awesome!! Very knowledgeable and to the point!! Would definitely recommend him!!
Group of 8, great tour, Alessandro gave a lot of information and was able to answer all questions including those not relevant to this particular tour. Very knowledgeable!
Alessandro was a great guide!! We learned so much in such a short time. He was so knowledgeable and patient with all our questions!
Great and informative tour!!
Fabulous tour with Mario. Mario was very knowledgeable and engaging about the history of the area. His English was superb. The tour started on time and we were lucky that there were only 5 of us as 5 others couldn't make it on the day. Highly recommend!
It was a wonderful tour, our guide Yash was excellent. We learned a lot about the Jewish Quarter formerly known as the Jewish Ghetto. We walked through Trastevere for about an hour- it is quite beautiful. I highly recommend this tour.
Fascinating side of Rome many of us do not always think about. Ben had fascinating information and took the time to explore questions with us. The tour was well paced and suited to our interests. Great time.
It was a learning experience for myself. The guide was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions.
Rebecca was great! Turned out that I was the only person on the tour, and she customized the whole tour experience for me, and she made it very easy to ask questions. I recommend.
Joan really knew his stuff. We enjoyed the tour very much and learned a lot. Very good value for the price. Highly recommend.
Rebecca was a great guide! She was easy to talk to and had a lot of knowledge. I would definitely recommend this tour.
We booked this at the last minute and so glad we did. Rebecca was a wonderful guide. She was knowledgeable and charming. Gave us just enough information without over doing it. Answered all our questions. We had an enjoyable afternoon and came away much more aware than when we started. Thank you!!
Excellent tour ! Made us want to go on all tours done by our guide. Recommend for a new perspective on Rome, outside of the Forum.
Ivan was our excellent, well-informed, and entertaining guide on this "pay what you wish" tour. We liked him so much that we signed up for two more tours that he was giving.
Joan gave us a fascinating tour that covered the history of the Jewish Ghetto and the area, including religious, political and architectural history.
It was okay. I would have liked more info and history on the actual neighborhoods. The guide seemed to just point out things here and there and didn't seem like he had a plan for the tour.
We had a wonderful tour with Brian. He is friendly, fun, and engaging, and he shares stories that reflect his deep personal connection to the local culture. Throughout the tour he kept a great atmosphere and made the experience truly enjoyable. Highly recommended!
Yash was a very personable and knowledgeable guide. He explained everything and answered our questions.
Yash was our guide. He was amazing, very knowledgeable. A unique experience learning about the Jewish ghetto. Our guide also gave personal recommendations for authentic restaurants as well as some must see hidden gems (free to do). I would highly recommend this tour.
Brian was great! Friendly, funny and knowledgeable! We saw parts of Rome we wouldn’t have seen and heard history of Roman Jews we wouldn’t have heard without this tour. Terrific experience!
If you want to learn a lot, and enjoy your time, be sure to get Rebecca. History made accessible and fun. A must see part of Rome
Our tour guide Bryan was AMAZING! Enjoyed a wonderful stroll while he shared incredible knowledge of history and area.
Our excellent, knowledgeable, funny, and kind tour guide, Maria. She made our experience of the Colosseum and Forum areas so memorable!
Very informative, enjoyable and knowledgeable. Guide really knew his stuff and told tge stories really well.
Ambro was terrific. Very knowledgeable about Roman history and the Jewish Ghetto and surrounding area. Recommend!
Francesca was experienced and her English was perfect. She entertained all questions and was so attentive! Highly recommend! Wonderful quality.
Amazing tour guide! She understood we were diverse in age and ensured we weee all engaged. Her knowledge was spectacular. We loved this tour
Bryan was super knowledgeable and gave a great tours! The pace was comfortable and he shared very interesting information all the way along. Highly recommend this tour!
Guide was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the history of this area and the how the Jewish population fared in Rome over the centuries.
The tour was very disappointing ,guide Bryan did not meet us at the appointed meeting spot. Didn’t have his banner either. Wasted so much time, tour itself was sadly lacking. We left early and really rebooking this tour
Great tour. Brian was one of the best guides we ever had. After - we had a snack with him and he helped us make a dinner reservation at a hard to get table. He was personable, knowledgeable and fun to tour with. Highly recommended!
Rebecca was a fabulous guide, giving just the right amount of interesting information to digest and to keep us engaged and intrigued. Her knowledge and passion for history is inspiring. Especially the Jewish Ghetto was humbling, rather emotional and thought provoking. She was also very kind as to point out her favourite restaurants in the Ghetto. Thank you for a traveler-experience (rather thankful a tourist experience).
We had such a wonderful experience with Brian. He was very knowledgable, easygoing, and had a great sense of humor.
Bryan has an amazing command of ItaLy’s cultures and history. Wonderful overview of the neighborhood and it’s historical setting.
Wonder guide helping us discover this vital, historical, beautiful neighborhood of the Rome area and tasting local treats.
Absolutely fantastic tour, Bryan our guide was sensational from the moment he welcomed us to the moment he left us. History is to be honoured and more importantly talked about. The walk and talk was in my opinion emotional, sympathetic, historic & I think standing in the land is just so much better than reading. The knowledge from our guide is hugely impressive and delivered with such a lovely manner. Having a guide who is a local is just amazing , I mentioned to Bryan that I liked a nice beer and could he recommend somewhere to also eat, without hesitation Bryan took us to a local takeaway Trapizzon see photos incredible value for money so tasty and for my lunch for my wife and I was 15 euros, Bryan took us to an absolute must a beer hall Ma Che Siete the beer on tap is amazing , my wife had her first beer ( aged 51) Bryan joined us for a beer. I am absolutely delighted with this tour and would strongly suggest everyone to do this tour. Bryan thank you so much, all the very best Adam & Linda
Our guide Brian was excellent. He was so knowledgeable about Roman history and what happened in the Jewish Ghetto. We were fascinated as we walked and he pointed out landmarks. He also let us stop at a small Jewish bakery and buy bake goods. I highly recommend this tour.
We had the pleasure of spending a few hours with Amber. She was fabulous. Knowledgeable, passionate, and an absolute joy to experience Rome with!!!
While our tour guide was lovely and prompt, it became readily apparent that she did not know very much about the Jewish Ghetto area or Jewish life in Rome. She also didn't speak much Italian which made translating signs (including the memorial plaque to the Jews rounded up and transported to the Concentration Camps) near impossible. She did not point out Hebrew street signs, and seemed to miss some important landmarks that we noticed ourselves. Trastevere looked like an interesting area, but there were long periods of just walking without information. Don't take this tour if you actually want to learn about the Jewish Ghetto area, & about Jewish life then & now in Rome.
Yash was great and took his time sharing this neighborhood and history with our family. Great idea and tour
I expected a Jewish guide for the Jewish Ghetto. Sofia was very sweet but her English wasn't good enough to describe the treatment of Jews nor did she have the shared heritage to truly recreate the horrors. I wanted to go to the synagogue but we crossed to Testevere and spent more time on things I was less interested in. I booked a tour at 9:45 as I knew museum would close for Shabbat but was moved to 11:15 and caught the last synagogue tour but not much time for museum The Nazi/Holocaust museum was already closed so I missed that too 😞
We loved all of the stories and insight Brian provided. We really, really enjoyed this tour. Brian was great! I wish it was longer!
Very interesting to hear about the history of the Jewish ghetto before and after world war 2. Our guide Martina was very good. In Trastevere she pointed out the main sites and helped us get street food.
