Rome Highlights By Golf Cart Private Tour

Lisa was a great guide and made this tour special. We were able to see everything we wanted for our short time in Rome. We would have never been able to do this by ourselves. The entire experience was wonderful, lunch was over the top, so much food. Lisa made our day quite easy, keeping walking to a minimum as we are an older couple. I would recommend this tour, worth the money spent.

The guide was nice but picked us up late. Said she picked someone else up from our hotel she thought was me. She knew a substantial amount about Rome, but seemed to drive in circles which wasted a lot of time.

Patrick was an exceptional guide. Explained so much about Rome and told us so many interesting stories. Great pace of tour and covered a lot of highlights.

A perfect way to spend our first afternoon in Rome! Skipping the line at the Trevi Fountain was an added bonus!

My wife and I (both 70+) did the Turtle Tours golf cart tour of Rome our first night in town. We chose this based on the great reviews and knowing that after a long overnight flight we’d be a little too gassed to do a whole lot of walking or more active type of tours. The excursion did not disappoint. We got whisked around to many of the city’s iconic sightd and landmarks which are vastly different when seen at night time. Our guide Matteo was super helpful. He was a skillful careful driver, knew all the right close-in “secret” places to park so we could get up close without a log of walking, extremely well versed on the history of the sites that we visited and even happily took photos of us at each stop. His English conversation skills were well above average. Along the way we journeyed through countless back streets and alleys getting glimpses of night life, restaurants and such that you’d never get to see in a bus or most cars - and we covered far more in 2-3 hours than we could have dreamed of doing on foot. Highly recommend.

Matteo was a wonderful guide! My family had the best time. We booked this tour last minute and were SO happy that we did. We were able to hit many of the highlights of Rome in just three hours and learned so much along the way. We’ve been talking about it all evening. Would highly recommend

Matteo was an exceptional guide. As a family we did the night trip seeing most of Rome’s historic highlights. We did this on our first night to experience sites we needed to see. Matteo was great as a born Roman he did not need GPS. He spoke exceptional English and shared his knowledge about each stop. I highly recommend him. His sense of humor was also fun.

It was great! Lisa was very informative and we loved seeing Rome in an abbreviated and quick version. Lisa gave some good nuggets that we wouldn’t have had by just walking around by ourselves.

We had Domenico for our tour operator and cannot rate him highly enough. Our tour was tailored to our needs yet ticked so many boxes. We feel that we have really been given the opportunity to see not just the “must sees” but a few of the hidden gems. Every need was catered to, thank you for a fabulous morning

This was our last night in after a week in Roma. Matteo asked where we had already been so he could tailor the experience to us. He is an excellent, guide! Knowledgeable, very friendly and affable, enjoyed our tour. Most importantly, his knowledge of the history of Rome and the details he provided were very insightful. There were 6 of us so we had 2 carts and 2 drivers! They were very knowledgeable about Rome and took us to all the sites listed on their itinerary. Would highly recommend!

The best way to see Rome! Minimizes walking for those with mobility issues. More time efficient than waiting for crowds to get on/off a tour bus. Customizable to your interests. Sam was an excellent tour guide and our lunch venue was amazing! A+++

Fun way to see Rome when your feet are tired! Our guy’s name was Michael and he was super sweet. I just wish we saw a few more things and learned a little bit more during the tour. There was a lot of driving without talking.

Golf cart tour allows access to sites via narrow streets and passageways. The cart increases visibility and proximity to the sites.

Renato was a fantastic guide on our few hours around Rome. As first timers in Rome and on a tight timeframe, he gave us a great orientation around the city and managed some tricky timings to avoid protests around the city on the day. We appreciated the gelato stop, the photo opportunities and the recommendations for things we wouldn’t have seen otherwise. And he even had Trevi tickets booked for us to visit and took us before the crowds appeared! He was also very patient with our four year old daughter and provided a car seat for her in the cart. We were picked up from our hotel in the morning and were happily dropped off in Trastevere with some excellent lunch recommendations. We would definitely recommend Turtle Tours!

A great way to start your visit in room with a great overview of many sites. Everything was as promised. Patrick our guide was very knowledge and friendly. He dropped us off at a great restaurant he recommended and it was amazing. He also gave us other rcommendations for restaurants in our hotel general area. We tried Cybo last night and it was also a great recommendation. Patrick was fantastic!!

Guided by an expert it was a great way to see the sights in a short period of time. Our tour guide Dan was waiting for us at the pick up point which was easily arranged beforehand. Dan was fun and passionate about the city and provided us with some excellent tips for after the tour too. Would recommend this company

Fantastic experience! Our tour guide Sam was very informative on the history and culture of Rome. He spent a little extra time at the places we were most interested in on the itinerary. He even provided recommendations about where to eat and things to do. This was a great way to see the highlights of Rome!

Our guide skipped several of the stops: Piazza Novonna, Pantheon, and Bocca Verita. Our umbrellas were stolen off of the cart at one of the stops. Not a lot of in depth history was shared. Friendly but hurried.

This was an amazing way to see so much of the city. Ricardo was so knowledgeable and really went out of his way to make this so memorable. Even with it raining, it was magical. And the included dinner at Trattoria Del Cordaro was one of the best meals we’ve ever had. We can’t say enough about how wonderful this experience was.

A wonderful sampling of Rome in a unique travel mode. Perfect for those with mobility issues, but still excellent for those who want a taste of what Rome has to offer before taking a deep dive. We could not have asked for a better guide. Renato was so nice and informative. He made it even more enjoyable!

The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable however the golf cart was old and dirty and not the experience I expected Very disappointing

Would recommend as the first tour you take in Rome. Our guide gave an excellent overview of some of Rome's Major attractions. Golf carts can quickly get around traffic jams and we spend more time viewing instead of stuck.

Very enjoyable experience. Our driver was excellent, but we were told she was not certified to speak while driving, which was a large part of the tour. Nonetheless she really did a great job showing us around and taking us behind the scenes. The gelato was a very nice touch at the end!

Dominico asked us what we were interested in and showed us many sights. It saved us time in planning our trip!.

This was the most disappointing experience of our three weeks in Italy and the UK. Extremely poor value (nearly $200 US per person). Based on the reviews, I expected an excellent guide. Our guide, Biagio, somehow managed to be bored and cocky at the same time. He didn’t offer to take photos (we did ask at one or two stops). He gave us incorrect information about multiple sites (e.g., that the Pope and Mussolini negotiated over ownership of the Colosseum). He generally sat in the cart rather than accompanying us to the sites. He was interested in himself and telling us about that. The best I can say is that he picked us up on time and that we cut the lines at Trevi fountain and at a good gelato place. But I’m sure lots of cheaper golf cart tours do the same. This operator must have some good guides but based on our experience it’s not guaranteed.

Michael was a great tour guide. We were surprised to find out tickets to the Trevi fountain and gelato were included. He even made a stop at a wine store for us. This tour made our first night in Rome an unforgettable experience. Would highly recommend Michael as your tour guide.

Our turtle tour highlights of Rome by golf cart with Michael was a great way to get an introduction to Rome. With so much to see in a short window of time this was the perfect way to do it. Michael was super knowledgeable, friendly and definitely knew how to navigate through the city of Rome. Stopping for gelato was a treat and a visit with entrance to the Trevi fountain was awesome.
