This tour was a great start to our trip in Rome! The guide Elisabetta was lovely and had good history, stories, and general chit chat. It was a great way to hit many landmarks at once and then decide if you feel you need more time at any later on.

Itinerary
Step out directly into the shadow of the ancient world’s deadliest arena. Your guide will position you for the ultimate, crowd-free photo of the Colosseum and the Arch of Constantine. They will strip away the Hollywood myths, giving you the raw facts on how 50,000 spectators filled these arches, the brutal reality of gladiator survival, and the imperial propaganda carved into the stone.
Stand beneath the largest surviving triumphal arch of the Roman Empire—a colossal monument built on stolen glory. Your guide will decode this massive architectural "Frankenstein," pointing out exactly where Emperor Constantine literally hacked off the faces of older statues from previous emperors just to replace them with his own. As you look up at the intricate carvings, you will hear the gripping, factual account of the bloody Battle of the Milvian Bridge—the ruthless civil war victory depicted on the stone that triggered the fall of pagan Rome and changed the course of Western history forever.
No walking required as you accelerate past the imposing ruins of the Palatine Hill. As you cruise, your guide will point out the exact remains of Emperor Domitian’s sprawling palace, detailing the ruthless power grabs, betrayals, and assassinations that birthed the Roman Empire on this very hill.
Stand at the edge of history’s largest entertainment venue. Looking down the massive 600-meter track, your guide will paint a visceral picture of 150,000 screaming fans, the deafening roar of 4-horse chariots, and the lethal crashes that made these drivers the highest-paid athletes in human history.
Your guide will lead you quickly through fragrant citrus trees to a secluded terrace overlooking the Tiber. Here, they will reveal a fascinating optical illusion involving the dome of St. Peter's Basilica. As you take in the sweeping skyline, listen to the factual, gritty medieval history of the Savelli fortress that once stood exactly where you are standing.
Face the ancient world's most feared lie detector. Your guide will explain the grim medieval reality behind this massive 1300kg marble disc and tell you what really happened to the hands of those accused of perjury. They will also direct your attention to the impossibly preserved Temple of Hercules Victor, detailing how it survived untouched since the 2nd century BC.
The sound of roaring water hits you before you even see it. Your guide will bring you to the edge of this monumental 17th-century fountain, breaking down the engineering marvel of the ancient Trajan aqueduct that fuels it. You will hear the controversial history of Pope Paul V, who unapologetically stripped ancient marble from the Roman Forum just to build this masterpiece.
Cruise to the very edge of the Gianicolo Belvedere, where the entire city of Rome is laid out below you like a massive, 3D map. Your guide will point out the exact spot where a live military cannon has been fired every single day since 1847—a drastic measure ordered by Pope Pius IX just to synchronize the city's chaotic, competing church bells. Without leaving your cart, your guide will decode the sprawling skyline for you, pinpointing ancient domes and hidden monuments in the distance, giving you a true emperor's perspective of the Eternal City.
Emerge into Piazza della Rotonda to face an architectural impossibility. Your guide will place you at the perfect vantage point to appreciate the massive, monolithic Egyptian granite columns. They will reveal the mathematical genius behind the unreinforced concrete dome—a 2,000-year-old engineering secret that still baffles modern architects today.
Step directly onto the footprint of Emperor Domitian’s ancient athletic stadium. Your guide will take you straight to the center of the square to decode the hidden symbols within Bernini’s Fountain of the Four Rivers. You will hear the true, bitter history of the legendary rivalry between Rome's two greatest architects, Bernini and Borromini, whose feud literally shaped this square.
Arrive at Europe's widest and most famous staircase. Your guide will explain the diplomatic and engineering crises that delayed its construction for decades. They will share the factual history of the devastating Tiber River flood of 1598, which directly inspired Bernini to carve the iconic, half-sunken Barcaccia boat fountain you see before you.
Step into the elegance of the Villa Borghese gardens as your cart pulls up to this romantic, 19th-century promenade. Instead of a distant hilltop panorama, the Pincio Terrace places you directly above the bustling Piazza del Popolo. Your guide will bring you to the edge of the balcony to look straight down the famous "Trident"—three long, straight streets that slice perfectly through the heart of Rome's historic center. It is a highly refined, lush setting surrounded by marble statues, offering a uniquely intimate view of the city streets below.
After viewing it from above, step directly into the vast, grand square that served as the main entrance to Rome for centuries. Your guide will walk you to the very center to stand beneath the massive, 3,300-year-old Flaminio Obelisk, pointing out the original Egyptian hieroglyphs brought back by Emperor Augustus. Then, they will reveal the brilliant architectural trick behind the famous "twin churches" at the edge of the square, showing you exactly how 17th-century architects used a clever optical illusion to make two completely differently sized buildings look perfectly identical.

We had a great time. Our driver was very knowledgeable about Rome and took us to many great spots. She gave us facts along the way and stopped whenever we wanted to for pictures. She not only took us to the popular stops. She also knew a couple of places where it seemed like we were the only ones there, looking at the city from high above. Seeing Rome at night the way the city is lit up is highly recommended.
If you are going to Rome please, please use this fabulous company. They were much more reasonably priced than ANY other company we looked at. That made me worry as it was such a good price I thought something was wrong! Mati, our guide, messaged us 20 minutes before time offering to pick us up if we were still en route to the meeting point - we were already there! I cannot fault Mati - he was the loveliest person. Fantastic knowledge of the area and went above and beyond to make our tour special. He was friendly and even went "off itinerary" a couple of times to show us other lesser known sights. He spent more time than he should with us, he took lots of photos with us and for us and we couldn't have had a better time with any other guide I am sure! He even parked up and let us walk to the Trevi Fountain for a good look (he couldn't take the buggy directly there) and waited for us. Thank you Mati - what a great start to our trip!
He is very polite and showed up early. We ate dinner at restaurant attends meetings place.5 stars for food.well worth the stop before you leave on the tour. Mati asked what we has seen or about too and adjusted the tour according. Her very safe driver. Not once was I concerned 5 stars.Very informative anf left time to see and take pictures. 5 stars..Randy Smith from Canada.
Mattia was our tour guide on Sept 17th. He was half an hour early, only to be punctual not expecting to be early. We was so knowledgeable, sociable, he taught us a lot about Romes architecture and history. He modified the tour based on our itinerary and preferences which made it feel even more special. Other tours take you on the same root, memorize a script, have strict times. He modified it on the spot for us without us asking, he was knowledgeable pointing out small things easily missed on the streets. He knew short cuts to get us to all the major places in short time. We had so much fun riding the cart, my son and I thoroughly enjoyed the back seat facing the assertive "Roman" drivers. He managed to get us through the busy streets without terrifying us Canadians, we felt safer in his little golf cart than we did in some of Romes taxis. The streets were beautiful and the weather/climate was perfect. The golf cart has little plastic screens rolled up so it was prepared to operate in rainy conditions. We appreciated that he took photos of us with his own camera and sent them to us promptly, he joked about photography not being his strong suit. He was exceptional, he made us feel welcomed and we all thoroughly enjoyed the tour with Mattia.
It was nice to listen to what Matija was saying ...

The best golf cart rides in town. The guides were great.
I was born and raised in the UK by Italian parents but never went to Italy and this was my first time in Italy and in Rome. Since j didn't know the city I thought the golfcart would be a great way to see the city and to get an idea if what the city is all about. It exceeded my expectations, it was amazing how we covered a lot of territory in a short amount of time and guide was really kind and knowledgeable. Really recommended especially at the beginning of your presence here in Rome to get a 360 view of the city.
Such a wonderful experience, great way to see Rome, the guides are so helpful and nice, prossecco was great😂🥰😍❤️
One of the best experiences we had in Rome! Comfortable, fun, and a great way to see all the main highlights without spending hours walking. The guide was fantastic, the golf cart was very comfortable, and the welcome drink was a nice bonus. Highly recommended!
Private golf cart tour with pick up and drop off was exceptional! Our tour guide Alex was the best, the story about old St. Peter’s basilica on Fontanone is just incredible to see and learn about it and aqueduct, the views of the city are just amazing in places he took us. At the end he brought us to local restaurant Cencia where we had the best Roman pasta and because of him we even had discount. Exceptional service!
A very beautiful experience. Thank you very much
A truly positive experience! Impeccable service and great availability. Absolutely recommended!
The guide, Matti, adapts perfectly to the participants. The children 12 and 13 also found his stories very interesting. Highly recommended.
