So much fun!! Food was amazing and tour guide Michael was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

Fabulous! Vivian was our guide and a wealth of interesting information. I only wish I had a bigger tummy to be able to enjoy ALL the many delicious food samples. 30?40? And we’re not talking about a small bite or two.

Had a wonderful food tour with our guide, Carlotta. She made us laugh while providing so much great information about the food and wines we tasted. Also learned a bit more about a different part of Rome. So happy I chose this tour. Highly recommend. Just make sure to turn up hungry

We have taken several food tours throughout Italy and this one was our favorite! Our guide Michael was very friendly and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed learning about the backgrounds and processes that go into producing all the food and wines we tasted.

Michael was knowledgeable and passionate on the wine, cheese and balsamic vinegar topic. Food tasting was a great experience. Visit to the market, tasting all the novelty products was a highlight. Value for money tour. We were so full after that. I had a light dinner for the day!

Very enjoyable three hours with Michael as our guide. He shared interesting details about the Roman food and wine we were enjoying. Our tour was over the lunch hours… we were full and skipped dinner that day!!! Gelato was all we needed while strolling the sights at night!! Highly recommend!

We had a great time . There were 4 other people in our small group. Our guide Michel was excellent. I know a lot more about wine and may other delicious Italian foods. Also the stop to the marketplace was really cool.

Really enjoyed the tour. Michael is from New York and we just got along well. Great descriptions of the food and nuances of them. The flavor of the food was excellent and there was plenty of prosecco and wine. An excellent afternoon. Michael made the most of our time together.

My husband and I went on the Roman food and wine tour with a visit to Trionfole market. Michael was our guide and he was fantastic. He told us so much about the food and wine and everything tasted delicious. Our favorite part was the beginning at La Nicchia Cafe. We even bought some goodies to bring home to share with our family.

We had another incredible experience with The Roman Food Tour company and specifically with our host, Michael. He was warm, friendly and very knowledgeable about the food and culture. He managed to include all of the group from different countries in the festivities and conversation which is no easy task! We had a blast and got on well as a group. The best way to experience Italy is through its food and would always recommend the Roman Food Tour for quality and value for money. Having done the tour in 2018 and 2023, it’s nice to see some of the same venues on the itinerary with some new ones as well maintaining the standards.

Simply excellent - if you only do one experience in Rome, it should be this. The food is excellent and Michael, the tour guide, is knowledgeable, entertaining and great company throughout the tour.

Excellent tour in Prati not the Trionfale Food Market. Lots of information about the different quality of food and wines and what to look for. Food choices were generous and excellent. Our guide was great veery knowledgeable and lighthearted so very enjoyable

Been on the tour previously with my wife, enjoyed it enough to come back again… Vivien was a very pleasant and likeable hostess , we were well fed and watered and our small group made for enjoyable company. Will probably try a different tour with the same company.

A terrific morning learning about the food and wine of Rome. Our guide Vincenzo was excellent-full of energy and enthusiasm, explaining things beautifully and dealing with the different group members really well. A highlight was the visit to the market. We enjoyed tastings, all delicious, and got to see locals shopping for amazing food. The stallholders were all so friendly and proud of their produce. We ate loads of food and were guided well around the neighbourhood. Special shout out to Vincenzo who took care of everyone including one participant who had a motorised mobility scooter which was tricky around narrow streets, all done with great care. Meh really knew his food and was happy to share his expertise. Grazie mille Vincenzo.

This experience was amazing! Tina was a phenomenal tour guide, with lots of knowledge, humor and kindness. We ate so many delicious foods and explored a bit. We had very fancy and expensive food, with the knowledge of why it’s priced like that given by Tina. We were a group of 15, which is larger than what is typical but Tina handled it well and there was always more than enough food for everyone. I highly recommend this tour!

This was a great tour with Michael, who is very knowledgeable foodie with a wonderful grasp of the origins and history of the many types of food and wine that we sampled during the day. We began at a lovely coffee shop that also specializes in niche, upscale Italian food products. We started with coffee and then branched out to sample several cheeses, olive oils, pestos, balsamic vinegar, truffle products and prosecco. We then walked to a local pizzeria that boasts accolades by Anthony Bourdain as the finest pizza in Roma. From there, we went to the city’s large food market, where we sampled wine, meats, produce, cheeses, and eggplant Parmesan and had the chance to wander off on our own to buy whatever struck our fancy. Our final stop was a lovely restaurant, where we had a choice among several pasta options, more wine, and gelato. I couldn’t have eaten another bite. Michael was a delight and taught us so much about everything from the origin of coffee, to how dogs are bred in Italy to hunt truffles, to how the world’s finest balsamic vinegar is made, to the best approach to ordering coffee in Italy. I highly recommend this tour.

We spent a very pleasant few hours with our excellent guide, Vivien, who was very friendly and knowledgeable. Unexpectedly we were the only people on the tour, so we had a lot of opportunity to chat and benefit from Vivien's local knowledge and enthusiasm about food and wine. There was plenty to eat, so have a light breakfast!

What really made the tour memorable was the personal touch Marta added — her warm personality, her passion for sharing her city’s food culture, and the way she made us feel like we were exploring Rome with a friend rather than just another tour group. A fabulous tour for foodies and the food-curious alike. Michael was great fun, and he got the tone just right. I recommend him. The food was brilliant, and more than enough! All the places were top quality and we had a chance to shop a bit too. My highlights include truffle products, amazing pizza and the pasta carbonara.
