Rome Food Tasting Tour In Trastevere

A fantastic way to view Rome differently, with the addition of unreal Roman food and drinks. Andrea our guide was brilliant and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is visiting Rome and wanting to spend an afternoon experiencing the culture.

We had a fantastic time on the Rome and Travestere food tour led by Alessia! She was brilliant, telling us lots of brilliant and exciting information about the city and landmarks we walked through. The food we ate was fantastic. Highly recthis tour. I think we paid around £20 and it was around 2.5 hours. Was great value. Thanks again Alessia!

Lovely tour with our guides Carla and (sorry I forgot the other lady’s name) who were super friendly. It was paced well, with a good offering of food for the price paid. 2 hours was enough to give a taster and in the heat, would definitely recommend!

We had a lovely food tour, which also included drinks too! Everything was included on the tour. Amanda, one of our tour guides, fit us in last minute. She and our other guide, Carla, were so nice and answered all of our questions! They gave great recommendations throughout the tour. One of us was a vegetarian, and they accommodated us at every stop. The tour was about two hours with plenty of rest breaks. It also included a free water bottle at the beginning, which was nice for the heat! Amanda and Carla were the best and I would recommend them for any tour!

This is a must do. An exploration of the Trestavere area and some delicious quick bites. Andrea was amazing and knew all the spots plus many recommendations!

This was a fantastic way to spend a few hours. Andrea was so friendly and informative touring several shops and markets stalls and explaining the local area to us time flew by. She is so helpful and knowledgeable we had a fantastic time together.

Highly recommended! This food tour was one of the highlights of our time in Rome. It was a fantastic way to explore different neighborhoods while sampling some of the city’s best local flavors. My favorite stop was Campo de’ Fiori. We enjoyed it so much that we returned the next day to experience the area more fully. The market atmosphere, local products, and vibrant energy made it a memorable part of the tour. Of course, the street food and pizza in Trastevere were the true highlights. The food was delicious, authentic, and showcased why Roman cuisine is loved around the world. The tour was also well-paced, giving us time to enjoy the food while learning about the history and culture of the neighborhoods we visited. The experience ended perfectly with a refreshing gelato, a sweet finale to an excellent evening. If you’re visiting Rome and want to discover great food beyond the typical tourist spots, this tour is absolutely worth it.

Great Trip, Andrea was a great host! She did an amazing job and made sure that everybody felt comfortable. The tour was very informative and we enjoyed it very much.

This tour was enjoyable and we got to see many great local foodie places around the centre of Rome and then heading into Trastevere. We really enjoyed the suppli and learning about the difference between suppli and arracini in particular. We're leaving 4 stars because we felt there was a bit too much time spent standing at the local market - we had already discovered the market by the time we were on the tour. We would have preferred finding more hidden/off the beaten path places owned by locals.

We had booked a few tours through city pass with Vatican, Colosseum, and the food tour. We were taken on the food tour by Carla who was amazing. She gave us historical facts about the parts of Rome, and we had a lovely conversation. When we return we will use the Touristation again!

The food tour was fantastic. We learned a lot about both the food and the city’s history. Mira let us experience many different and delicious Italian dishes. It was very interesting and memorable. I highly recommend everyone to try it. It’s very nice to join a food tour in the afternoon after finishing the city tour in the morning. We were very full with lots of food and wine, and everything was included in the trip. The Tourisation Roma company is very nice. All the tour guides are very friendly and always willing to help. Thanks again to Mira for letting us experience such a wonderful trip.

The tour was fun (and tasty!). It is more like a street food tour, which is fine considering that you are walking through the streets of Rome. Mira was a great guide and a very pleasant person. We enjoyed the tour very much.

We try to do food tours whenever we travel. Great opportunity to learn about places that we would never find ourselves. Plus we get the history of the foods. This tour did not disappoint and our guide Mira was awesome!

Had a wonderful experience. Carla was an excellent tour guide and made each site feel memorable and interesting. She taught us about the local cuisine and architecture while making us laugh and enjoy ourselves. We will recommend the tour to friends and family, and may even take it again if we return!

Mira was so kind and knowledgeable. We visited a local market, had pizza, truffle, and local cuisines. The walk was beautiful, comfortable, and a nice pace.

This food tour was great you will not walk away hungry!!!! Mira was so sweet a helped us learn a lot about the city. My favorite item was a Hugo spritz with the pork sandwich .

Mira was AMAZING!!! So sweet, so knowledgeable, and so bright and bubbly. We have pizza, gelato, and local eats. Everything was delicious and one of my favorite parts was the market. TRUFFLE POWDER! Highly HIGHLY recommend!

Our food tour with Erica was a fantastic experience. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the history and culture of Roma, and her passion for history (especially Julious Ceasar), and the local cuisine really shone through. We visited some truly authentic places, and the food was delicious. I particularly enjoyed street food at Cabula and gelato at gelateria Regusto. The tour was well-paced, and Erica was very attentive to everyone's needs and preferences, even making sure any dietary restrictions were accommodated. Overall, it was a great way to discover the city's food scene, and I highly recommend this tour. I would give it 5 out of 5 stars!"

The food tour with Michele was one of the best walking tours we have done ever. She was a great guide. We were the only two people, so the experience was very personalized. Michele was quite knowledgeable about the hidden gems/local food and she took us to local markets and ordered tastings for us. She also paid special attention to my wife's vegetarian needs and ensured that she equally enjoyed the tour. Apart from the food, she explained a lot of history and culture to us which was great to know and understand. Would definitely recommend as a must-do tour while in Rome.

The atmosphere and the street food in Rome are amazing! I had wonderful time with the guide and other visitors. It’s an impressive experience.

Erika was so fun! She added food tips and history of the city to make it a great experience. We hit on many of the favorite Italian foods and it was super helpful in choosing food items to take home!

I purchased this tour very last minute and it was the best decision I made while in Rome. Erika was hands down the best tour guide we had during our stay. If I could have requested her for any of the other tours we took around the city, I would have. The tour ended up being just our group of 4, so it felt very personalized. Erika very obviously loves history and talking about it. We learned so much about the food in Rome, but also about a lot of the things she wanted to share as we walked along the cobblestone streets. We loved everything we tasted and were pleasantly surprised by the olive oil and vinegar tasting in the market. The last stop was gelato in Trastevere and we went back at least 2 more times after our tour. Erika shared some other fun places she wanted to make sure we saw during our stay including the Trevi Fountain underground. When we went on our own (I tried to book a tour but was too late to do so), we saw her touring another group and it made all of our days. Thank you for making our trip memorable!

The guide Alima was amazing helping us walk Rome tasting all the eternal city has to offer, street food, wine tasting, gelato and much more, Alima putting personal touches. A chilled out couple of hours with big taste.

The tour was very good, but Erika was great 🙂! She was funny, gracious and very knowledgeble about Rome, food, history, and more. We had a wonderful time and felt it was too short. Very much recommended!!

The tour was fantastic! Perfect amount of food. Erika, our guide, was very knowledgeable. She knew some much about Roman history as well as the history of the food we were sampling. Probably one of the best tours we did while here in Rome!

The culinary tour is highly recommended. Everything included. Food, drinks, and also the ice cream. Andrea has an inspiring way of explaining the various snacks and also explaining interesting facts about the area.

Food tour to do! Great visit with lots of things to discover and taste! Whether it was street food or tasting refined products, it was great! Great visit, we didn't see time pass. Alima is charming, caring. The visit is very interesting at the beginning of the stay to discover the biggest and ask for advice. I have two teenagers, they loved it.
