Rome E-bike Tour – Premium Small Group With Local Guide

Friends recommended that we should do this bike tour and it was the best experience of our trip to Rome! Leo, the guide, was so good at explaining how the bikes worked and gave me time for a practice. We cycled along streets and places we’d never have found on our own, stopping every few minutes while Leo explained the history and importance of the places and sites. His vast knowledge was incredible and he put it across in a really interesting and easy to understand way. Lots of photo opportunities and honestly, the best way to see the city.

Great tour. Traveled a long way but seemed a short distance while on e-bikes. Guide Leo took extra time for explanations and kept our small group safe. Excellent day thanks to Rex tours.

Great way to see Rome. We covered so much more ground than if we tried to walk. The bikes were great and was relaxing and fun. Leo our guide was fantastic and funny making the trip a real highlight. We got to so many paces that we would t have thought of. On a hot day, we always had a cool breeze as we rode the bikes. Highly recommend it. Leo’s restaurant recommendations were spot on and we had one of the best meals of our trip just after the tour finished.

Leo was an amazing guide, so knowledgeable and personable. We loved touring the city with him, the e-bikes were easy to use/learn. Would highly recommend this experience!

We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon with Leo. He is very knowledgeable, patient, and has such an engaging personality. I was a bit nervous about riding an e-bike all over Rome on a crowded Sunday afternoon, but Leo made it very easy. We learned so much, and saw so many of Rome’s highlights in one afternoon. You’re in for a real treat with Leo! He is knowledgeable, obliging, and funny! We now have a good understanding of some of the important areas/sites in Rome and the layout of the city itself. Leo explains things in a clear and succinct way. He centers his narrative on ancient human beings so you are better able to connect to history. We loved his wit! I would HIGHLY recommend this tour!

My adult daughter and I took this tour on our second day in Rome. Marco took us to all the highlights and spent time answering our questions. I was so happy we decided to do this!

Leo was such an excellent and knowledgeable guide. We were worried about bike riding in such a busy city, but he navigated us with ease so that we were able to see many off the beaten path items (and many must see sites too). We appreciate his kindness and willingness to adapt the tour to our needs. Do not hesitate to take this tour! It is such a refreshing way to see Rome, avoiding busy areas and saving your feet so much walking.

I am not going to lie, I was uncertain about this when my friend booked it. I would not be a natural cyclist and cycling in city centre Rome seemed to be the mother of all bad ideas. But I was wrong and fully enjoyed the experience. From the friendly welcome from our knowledgeable and lovely guide, Marco to our trial run on the bikes outside the shop - I knew it was going to be fine. Off we went with a turbo to get us up the hill. Just the right amount of stops for the right amount of time. Marco was responsive and if we wanted to see something in particular, or needed water, he would make it happen. Time just flew and we went on not so busy roads. Wonderful way to see the city. Would recommend.

The app for the guided experience doesn't work. No option for English language if you have any android phone. Also the email givrn in the app to contact operate is incorrect and email undeliverable.

Leo was fabulous. We ended up with a private tour as we were the only people booked on. A wealth of knowledge and comfy bikes. Would definitely recommend

Had a fantastic e-bike tour in Rome today with my husband, guided by Leo from the Rex tours. We are not very experienced bikers but found ourselves very safe while driving after Leo and it was an amazing experience to see Rome from this perspective. The best part were the stories our quide told us, he really breaths the city and its history.

The e-bike tour was a wonderful way to see the city. We covered a lot of ground, including some pretty steep hills with great views (which was a breeze on the e-bike). We enjoyed the tour guide, who tries his hardest to show us as much as possible despite very crowded streets and some road closures due to Good Friday. Highly recommend!

From start to finish, this was an amazing tour! We've done bike tours in the past in various cities, this has to be my favorite. The e-bike makes a huge difference as very little effort is put into getting from location to location. Our guide had an amazing amount of knowledge and some extra back stories from local knowledge that gave us some additional perspective we wouldn't have had in any audio tour. The sights were magnificent and it was just an absolute joy biking the streets of Rome. Can't thank you guys enough for a jewel in our vacation. :)

The tour was wonderful! Our guide was friendly and very knowledgeable. We liked that we would stop at different locations to learn about them and take them in, we got to go into some locations to see what was talked about, etc. It was a good mix of riding, talking and going into things. We learned a lot, which allowed us to make some decisions about other things we would like to go to and see. You do have to be a confident bike rider since the streets are busy with traffic and pedestrians! But we had a lot of fun and learned a lot!

No better way to see Rome! We had an incredible time exploring the city with our fantastic guides, Marco and Julia. They took us to all the must-see spots, sharing fascinating insights and historical facts along the way. The e-bikes made it effortless to cover so much ground, allowing us to enjoy the city’s beauty without getting tired. The bikes were super easy to operate, even for beginners. If you want to experience Rome in a fun, efficient, and informative way, this tour is a must!

Our E-Bike tour with Marco was a highlight of our stay in Rome. Our ride got rescheduled due to rain. They were very flexible with the reschedule date and time. The ride itself hit all of the Rome highlights. Marco provided great commentary and fun tidbits regarding the history at each place we visited. He made the adventure a blast. My husband and I highly recommend. As a side note, I didn't have experience on an e-bike. They do a great job explaining everything you need to know to stay safe and enjoy the ride,

The best way to see the city if you only have a few days. We loved it & it was fun, easy. Not our typical way of seeing the city, yet perfect for us.

Great way to get an overview of the city. We covered a lot of ground and the e-bikes made hills a breeze. The panoramic views were amazing. Marco was very knowledgeable about Rome’s history and getting around the busy city’s side streets to avoid congestion. Tip: if the traffic bothers you, schedule an early evening tour. Marco also had some great suggestions for where to eat the local food. We were especially impressed that they worked around our schedule to reschedule the tour based on bad weather.

We were so happy with our e-bike tour since we only had one day in Rome. We spent the morning on our own seeing Colosseum and Trevi fountain, the the afternoon e-bike tour took us all over seeing most other sights we would not have been able to fit in. The bikes were in great shape and the headsets were comfortable. With the crazy driver s we considered ourselves lucky to all make it back alive! There were some scary moments passing through cars and crowds. But definitely recommend!

Our experience was fantastic and our guide Leo was outstanding. Having only a few days in Rome we were looking for a way to hit the major sites efficiently. This was the first excursion we booked and I am glad we did. We were able to apply the learnings to the rest of our trip. What made it exceptional was Leo's understanding of the history of Rome and his ability to weave it into a narrative that kept everyone interested while navigating to views and city vistas that were generally away from the crowds. Our small group turned out to be just my wife and 14 year old son. Everyone handled their ebike with ease and given the hilly terrain appreciated the ebike power boost. We booked the 9:30 slot on a very sunny, hot day and having the ebike power support made a huge difference. We did not arrive to each site sweaty and dying of thirst Many friends said we were crazy to want to bike in Rome but my family is confident on a bike and our route never felt dangerous. As is normally the case when you are enjoying yourself the time flew by and we walked away so much better informed on the amazing city and its rich history. We had a private e-bike tour for our family of four. It was INCREDIBLE! Our tour guide was brilliant…he knows and understands the history in Rome so well and has a delightful way of explaining and teaching as you ride along. I couldn’t recommend Rex tours more! There is no better way to see Rome!

We had such a wonderful time! Leo was so very knowledgeable and gracious with an engaging personality. We felt very safe on his E-bikes as we navigated Romes streets. Not only was he well versed in Rome history he also knew the hidden gems as well. This was a bonus for us as we enjoyed learning the behind the scenes stories of Roman people & their lives. Luigi was our guide and we had a lovely ride around Rome. We were a bit scared of the idea of riding our bikes around in the traffic but Luigi took us on side streets when possible. We stopped at all the main sites and a few not so well known places. Having an e-bike was great for the few uphill spots too! Definitely recommend this ride.

Riding through Rome at dusk and seeing all the basilicas and coliseum lite up at night. Dodging cars and pedestrians 😁. Luigi was a great guide.

So much fun! Luigi tailored the tour to what we wanted to see and went at our pace. Biking around the city allowed us to see so much more than we would have otherwise, and was a great introduction to the city. A little scary navigating through busy roads (with heavy car and pedestrian traffic). The breeze on the bike was so much better than walking in the heat as well. Plus it started to drizzle a bit and the cold rain was so refreshing. We had a blast!

Excellent introduction to the major sites with a very warm and lovely guide Luigi who had lots of relaxed enthusiasm for the tour. Easy riding for the tour - would be fine for any kids over 8 or 9 - and he really made an effort to engage our teens too. Highly recommend and the 3-6pm timeslot was perfect to ward off the first day of jet lag.

This was the best excursion! Luca was a fabulous guide! The bikes were great and it was an easy ride from sight to sight where we could get off and look at the sights for a bit. This provides a great orientation to the city center and Luca gave wonderful mini history lessons at each stop! Probably my favorite activity in Rome!

Leo, our tour guide, was so knowledgeable about everything. We learned so much, and he showed us a lot more than we anticipated! It feels like we went to all the best spots in the city.

Luigi was a wonderful guide. I booked the regular bike trip but after enquiring about the terrain they offered me an e-bike for no extra charge. The bike was in great condition and fantastic to use around Rome.

We had a great bike tour with Luca on our first day in Rome! Since we were the only 2 on the tour, we stopped at each place for as long as we wanted, taking our time, and asking lots of questions. He navigated us through traffic (cars and people) with care, and made it very enjoyable. This was a great way to get a good overview of the city center and some of the main historic sites, so that we could decide where we would want to spend more time in the coming days. He was a great, low-key tour guide, and I highly recommend biking around the city!

It was really fun to ride bikes to see the sites in Rome. Our guide, Luca, did a great job answering questions, finding safe routes for us, and providing historical information about the site. So much easier to cover so much more ground on bikes than on foot.

A really interesting and informative tour around the old cobbled streets, seeing all the main sights and some wonderful churches. Luca our guide was a super chap and we really enjoyed his company and tour. Thanks chaps!

My wife and I have 2 teenage boys and were unsure which sites to visit on a very hot Rome afternoon. We opted for this bike tour instead and I have to say it was magnificent! Our guide for the tour Chris was friendly and knowledgeable and brought each landmark to life with his knowledge and stories… You get to see the main sites and have more then enough time at each… I would recommend this tour big time!!

Our group of 8 had a fantastic time with Luca this morning! He navigated us along the most beautiful lanes to all the major attractions, stopping regularly to share the city’s history and let us explore the areas. Highly recommended!!

This was the best activity we did on our entire 2 week europe trip. Our guide, Luca, was personable and highly knowledgeable. We had the tour guide to ourselves for our family of 5. He took us off the beaten path, took pictures for us and told us all about the history of each of the major sites. He took great care of our youngest who was a little small for their smallest bike. I will do this again every time we visit.
