Our pizza tour in Monti was amazing! The food was great - we loved everything we were served. Our guide, Benny, was knowledgeable and so very nice. It was like having a friend showing us around. We highly recommend the tour and Benny!

Our experience with Julia was excellent! We enjoyed our time learning about different styles and history of pizzas while we were eating, and Julia was knowledgeable and great to talk with
Julia was a very nice tour guide and showed us all of her familiar pizza places that all provided a variety of different choices which were all very good. She was very thorough and elaborative with some history behind of the pizza of why it was the way it was. Throughout the experience she was patient and very delightful to converse with. Highly Recommend her tour for anyone who wants a enjoyable time.
Benedetta S. is awesome! Our pizza tour ended up just being the two of us and Benedetta. She did an excellent job and gave us history of Rome, and took us to 3 different pizza places. We got aperol spritzes, prosecco, water and gelato too. Benedetta talked about the history of pizza making and we tried 3 different types of pizza: roman, montanara and pizetta. All were delicious and very different styles. Benedetta even gave us tips about how to tell if a place has good pizza or good gelato! We had a fabulous time. Benedetta was very helpful and selected great styles and flavors of pizzas for us. We trusted her and she delivered and then some! Thank you so much to Benedetta for a fabulous tour!!
Benedicta was an amazing guide. 3 stops. More than enough food and drinks for dinner. 3 totally different styles of Roman pizza. Fun, informative, tasty & FULL!!
Starting at the French embassy piazza was nice and quiet and easy to find our guide Giulia. She started us with meats and cheeses in Regola then over the Tiber to Trastevere for supli, pizza and gelato. The supli were my favorite. A nice length of visit for just appertivi.
Julia was fantastic! We had a great time tasting all the different types of pizzas. I would recommend going hungry.
Great tour with Julia! She is a wealth of information and do much fun! Highly recommendedd!
Julia our guide was so friendly and knowledgeable. So fun to explore the city this way!
Loved the food tour. I learned so much about the streets around and will cherish the information
I am Gluten Free and haven’t enjoyed pizza since becoming so , what a revelation this Pizza was , proper texture and delicious ! The staff were knowledgeable and friendly . They do cook the pizza in the same oven as the regular pizzas , so if you are coeliac you may need to avoid but they knew to inform me of this . Thank you Lily and chef Babi !
Giulia was great, she really took her time showing us around and we enjoyed the exclusive tour a lot!
This tour is excellent! Lilly was such a great guide - very knowledgeable and fun! We all left the tour stuffed from all the delicious pizza spots.
Lily was amazing!! Very knowledgeable and had a great friendly delivery.
Very charismatic and made the tour fun for all ages!
Lilly, our guide, was fantastic!!!!
This was so much fun! Our guide, Andi, was fun and kept us entertained. The pizza choices were all unique and delicious. We wouldn’t have tried any of these different pizzas and drinks had we not been on this tour. Andi even gave us recommendations for other food and drink places to visit later.
Absolutely loved this tour! We were the only couple booked that night so we ended up with a private tour with Ben, who could not have been nicer! She took us to 4 different spots and we were able to try several different styles of pizza. At one, she saw a new flavor (pesto, oregano, and chili flakes) coming fresh out of the oven and grabbed a few pieces and it ended up being the best bite of the night! For the final gelato stop, their usual place was closed but Ben quickly pivoted to another location and it was great! Ben was highly knowledgeable about the city and Roman food, and it felt more like hanging out with a friend who knows some cool spots than a formal tour. I definitely recommend this experience, especially if it’s your first night in Rome and you want to stay awake and fight jet lag while not having to worry about making a dinner reservation! You see some lovely parts of Rome and still end early enough to get back to your hotel and get a good night sleep.
Our pizza tour through Rome was one of the highlights of our trip, and that was entirely thanks to Andi. His attention to detail, incredible knowledge of Rome’s food culture, and overall kindness made the experience truly exceptional. Every stop felt thoughtfully chosen, and Andi shared fascinating stories and insights that made each slice even more memorable. What really stood out was how welcoming and genuine he was throughout the tour — he made everyone feel comfortable, engaged, and excited to explore. You can tell he genuinely cares about creating a great experience for his guests. If you’re considering a pizza tour in Rome, I can’t recommend Andi highly enough!
Andy was an AMAZING guide. If you have the opportunity to request a guide, he is highly recommended. The tour itself was amazing, great food. Andy was so knowledgeable. We’ve taken other tours and this was 15/10
Our tour guide Livi was amazing!! She was the perfect food guide that also answered a lot of our non food related questions. Food was amazing. Recommend!!!
Excellent! Julia was great. A lot of great information and the food was delicious! 🤤
Julia was fantastic. Personable and informative. Go hungry!
Julia was great. Delicious food. Walking distance was fine.
Wonderful! Tour guide was so happy to be with us and to share all of his knowledge. He answered all my questions patiently and really got into more than just the pizza. Truly enjoyed the tour! We loved it!
I can’t recommend this tour enough, if I could rate higher than 5/5 I would! My tour guide Livia was super friendly and knowledgeable, giving interesting insights into the history of the different pizzas as well as local knowledge of different restaurants and meals to try during my stay. As a nervous solo traveller her advice has given me a lot of reassurance and confidence in trying new things/places. I basically gave her free rein in choosing which foods to try at each venue and she managed to impress me at every stop. Do yourself a favour and book this tour if you are staying in Rome :) thanks again Livia
Benedetta was the highlight of our trip. This tour was amazing. Io la amo💕💕🌸 the pizza was delicious and the gelato unforgettable
Lily was a fantastic guide! She was super knowledgeable and easy going. She had lots of recommendations and helped us have the best pizza experience! Would definitely recommend!
Lily was great! Delicious pizza, good company, and knowledgeable information. I live in Italy and she still taught me things I didn't know.
We loved this experience. Such unique and delicious pizzas. Livia was our guide and she was absolutely outstanding!!!
Benedita gave us an amazing tour and immersed us in the culture of this Roman neighborhood. Her enthusiasm is infectious! Delicious pizza and gelato—who could ask for more?
This was such a fun tour! The food was amazing, with 3 different pizza styles and, of course, gelato at the end. The tour guide was fun, informative, and a pleasure. I would say do this on one of your first nights so you can see and ask about other restaurants and tips of being in Rome. After a long flight it was perfect to not have to quickly find somewhere to eat.
This pizza tour was exceptional! Great pizza and history thrown in as well. Benedetta was our guide and we learned a lot about the 3 different styles of pizza we tasted as well as interesting facts about the neighborhood we strolled through on our way to each restaurant. We were a party of three including my husband and son but the other two people who signed up for the tour never showed so we had Benedetta all to ourselves and she was so charming and delightful to talk to! The pizza was incredible and she asked about our likes and dislikes beforehand so we were sure to enjoy everything we tasted. There was definitely enough food and drinks to qualify as our dinner, in fact, I had to rely on my teenage son to finish what I couldn’t eat. We ended the tour with a tasting of two different gelato flavors of our choosing at a traditional Roman gelateria which were amazing as well. I highly recommend this tour - it was one of the highlights of our trip!
Wonderful tour with lily, great pizzas and drinks. She is very friendly . We discovered some places we would probably never went to if it was not for this tour.
Lily was amazing guide and very passionate about her pizza education for the tour. This is a not to miss tour when visiting Rome.
This was great. We tried more kinds of pizza than we thought existed, and they were all really good. We liked some styles more than others, but the tour itself was fantastic. It’s a can’t-miss experience that we are glad we had.
Lily was amazing! Great tour guide and made the experience so fun! I enjoyed all of the pizza and the information about it.
Pizza was amazing. Cool neighbourhood, which we wouldn’t have discovered without the tour. Lele was the best guide ever
This was an amazing tour. We tried three different pizza styles, and all of them were excellent! Had some great beer and the gelato at the end was great. Our guide Federica was wonderful and was very knowledgeable. She made us feel at ease and made the tour fun and enjoyable. We were also lucky enough that it was just the two of us and our guide Federica. We highly recommend this tour
Amazing tour, highly recommend it! Our amazing tour guide, Asia, was friendly, fun, and so full of knowledge. I didn’t know there was so much to learn about pizza from all different regions in Italy. The pizza and drinks were absolutely delicious and plentiful. You will not leave hungry!! Thank you, Asia, for making our tour and evening so much fun!
We had such a great time on this amazing pizza tour, not only because of the great food, but also thanks to our guide Lily who was so knowledgeable and informative about the history and background of the different pizza styles from different parts of Italy. We can highly recommend this tour to anyone and everyone who loves good Italian food and is interested to learn more about the background of pizza!
One of the best things we have done in Rome or Italy in general! Pizza was absolutely amazing, gelato was incredible and our tour guide Camilla was so friendly and knowledgeable and gave us some recommendations for our next trip! One of the best tours and tour guides we have had :)
My husband and I really enjoyed our pizza tour with Camilla! While we were initially cautious that this would be an overly touristy experience, Camilla was a great local guide, explaining the origin of the district and each type of pizza while also making the experience fun for everyone involved. We enjoyed trying types of pizza that we may not have sought out in Rome, having an especially fun time with the owner at the last stop, Trieste. Lastly it was great to connect with the other groups on the tour, and overall I'd highly recommend.
Four of us did the sunset pizza tour in Monti with Chiara on our first night in Rome. So reasonably priced for all that you get: 9 pizza tastings, drinks, and gelato. Chiara was fantastic: so knowledgeable and proud of the Roman pizza culture! She even taught us an Italian toast! This was one of our top experiences in Rome thanks to Chiara! Our group of 8 was the perfect size too.
My wife and I wanted to taste authentic Roman street food, and that's exactly what we got! Our guide Chiara led us through cozy Monti district, stopping at three pizza places and a gelateria, explaining to us the historical, regional and aroma differences between Neapolitan and Roman pizza, as well as pizza bianca, pizza rossa and pizza montanara. We especially liked the pizza montanara, a kind of fried pizza dough with cold toppings, with straciatella cheese. We can recommend this tour to everybody, who wants to get a feel for the Roman way of living right next to, but outside, of the touristic city center. If possible, ask for Chiara - her friendly, kind and open demeanour made the experience truly great.
We had an amazing pizza tour with Camilla around the Monti area of Rome. We were afraid the tour would mean a lot of walking, but it wasn't. This was the best way to learn about and try various types of pizza. We had a group of 9 people so we were able to easily engage with one another during the tour. The pizza samples were so good, as was the gelato. This tour is one of the highlights of my visit to Rome. Camilla was so friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rome.
We were fortunate to have Federica, our amazing, friendly and knowledgeable tour guide to ourselves and the whole experience was magical. The information about the Monti region combined with the Pizza information left us feeling very special and delighted we had booked. No doubting that Pizza Romana is the winner. To finish a superb tour with real Gelato was the icing 🧁 on the cake! Thank you again Federica - we both loved it 🥰
Anastasia led us through the Monti neighborhood on a wonderful pizza adventure. We tried three different types of pizza with three flavors of each. Our favorite was the fried pizza but the Roman style was delightful as well. Our guide was such a pleasure and was kind enough to make many other recommendations that were amazing in Rome. Highly recommend.
Note that the tour description is misleading. It says you will try "at least 9 different kind of delicious pizzas," but we only tried 3 kinds of pizza, although we got to try different flavors of each kind. Despite that, we had a fantastic tour with our guide, Valeria, and we very much enjoyed our stroll around the Monti district. Our first stop was at a pizza al taglio shop. While we tried a few varieties, Valeria educated us about Roman-style pizza. Our next stop was a small place that served Neopolitan street food. We had a glass of wine and tried a few flavors of fried pizza. It was amazing. Our third stop was for Abruzzo-style pizza. We finished the evening with delicious gelato. I recommend this tour to get a feel for a Roman neighborhood, enjoy great company, and of course, eat delicious food. But if you want to maximize the varieties of pizza that you try, this isn't the tour for you.
What an amazing experience! Federica was so full of energy and was a fantastic guide. Truly a great evening…thanks Fede!
