Great experience! I learned a lot ! And had lots of fun! It was an electric bike so it wasn’t too difficult.

This was an incredible day. Beautiful sights. Amazing day. I lived biking through the aqueduct Park.
Best thing we did in Rome! We are mid 50s recreational bikers but never rode ebike before— now I want one! So easy! Catocombs were AMAZING! Loved countryside and pizza lunch. Guide David was super!
Wonderful time. Easy to do. Traveled all over (I would have gotten lost if I tried to do this without a guide). Great scenery and excellent his.
The electric bikes make an easy ride, which is nice because you can then enjoy the beautiful scenery. Our guide, Anna , was amazing.
It has been one of the best tours I have done in a while. Wonderful scenery and our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. You do have to be fit to do the 5-6 hour tour however there are some shorter ones which would probably suit young children and people with less fitness levels better.
Knowledgable guide, an efficient organisation, the ebikes were top and the group was not too large. You discover a green part of Rome and see everywhere antique buidlings pop opp. Cyckling the Appian road was a great experience.
Fantastic e-bike tour in Rome! Everything was great from start to finish. Our tour guide was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. Such a fun and memorable way to explore the city. Highly recommended! 5/5
This was an awesome experience! We saw parts of Rome that we would never have seen. Maria Rosa was our tour guide and she was awesome, full of historical knowledge and knew her bike safety. Yes, it was a 16 mile ride but definitely didn't feel like it. I would highly recommend this bike tour for all my friends going to Rome.
If you have biked before, this is a fairly easy trip. There are a few hills and some rough road surfaces in spots (old Roman stones) and some traffic crossings.
Great time on e-bike and seeing area outside Rome city center which is lovely and a completely different experience than inside Rome. Paola our guide was extremely informative and patient with the group.
Our ride was brilliant! Sina was an awesome guide and very informative and helpful, he even brought rain ponchos for everyone the four hours went really fast and we saw some amazing history literally under our feet, just awesome highly recommend 💛😁Go Rome!
This was such an amazing experience! We learned so much and also had a lot of fun. Got some exercise and expanded our knowledge of aqueducts and catacombs. So cool! Lolo our guide was so kind and knowledgeable and so proud of his culture. Truly wonderful.
Wonderful tour on great ebikes with lovely guide who kept us safe at all times. I wish I could remember his name but I am sure all the guides from this company would be excellent. I consider this a must do activity when in Rome. Highly recommend and would do it again....the Appian Way was simply wonderful :)
First time on an e-bike but a comfortable biker and I was able to keep up with tour and guide. About 35% in city riding and then a beautiful tour that included a well knowledgeable guide! This was great
Chris was an amazing guild on the bike. We felt extremely safe the entire time and he also had a vast wealth of knowledge about the city. I will definitely be booking this tour again when im back in Rome. Great way to spend 6 hours
I absolutely loved this tour. It was so refreshing to be on a bike and escape the hustle of the city. Seeing the historical sites along the Appian way was fantastic and there’s no better way than by bike. Our tour guide Rossella was fantastic and made this a fun experience. She had great history and was very professional and safe as a guide. TopBike really appears to take safety as a priority and I appreciated that. The e bike was in great shape and well maintained, lots of fun to ride.
Absolutely amazing experience for my family and I. E-bike tour of Rome was varied, exciting and had just the right pacing with stops to discuss the fascinating history of this amazing /ancient city. The catacombs tour was astounding and the experience cannot adequately be out into words. Aqueduct tour was amazing with detailed history discussion that was very engaging. Your guide Rob was knowledgeable and great with my son who had many questions, helped us feel safe and greatly engaged throughout. This is a very high value trip, highly recommend though it is more physically demanding than you might think even though you’re riding an e-bike since it is 6 hours and requires some physicality to negotiate some of the terrain.
This tour is a fantastic experience and a brilliant day out. It was amazing to escape from the city through back lanes and pathways to reach the city walls and the Appian Way. The journey along the Appian Way and the countryside around the Aqueducts was beautiful, seeing it from the ebike was a wonderful way to explore the history of Rome. The selection of bikes was great, and they were really fun to use; our teenage son had great fun, and our Guide (Maria) was incredibly patient and considerate with our teenage daughter, who was less confident about the bike. Rome is full of wonders, but this was an experience that will live in our memories forever. We would do this tour again in a heartbeat.
I loved this experience! Getting out of the city and seeing Via Antica Appia and the Aqueduct Park was a great way to spend the day. Paola was always watching, keeping us safe as we navigated city streets and a few off road areas. I saw so many new things while in Roma. Highly recommend...... just make sure you know how to ride a bike.
Rens was an exceptional guide on this very interesting trip. It was great to bike both in the city and out into historic green spaces - both the catacombs and the aqueducts are truly amazing. We saw things we would not have seen on our own or on foot.
Absolutely loved this bike tour! Rens was a fantastic guide - knowledgeable, engaging, and really attentive. I loved the places we visited and all the stories and history behind them. The route took us through mostly quiet, less crowded streets. It was a bit bumpy in places, but totally manageable. Our guide was also super professional. We had a flat tire along the way, but he handled it smoothly and still got us back on time. He also kept counting us throughout the ride to make sure we’re not lost along the way 😂 Clearly, we were in good hands! Such a fun way to explore Rome, definitely one of the highlights of my trip!
Lots of history and great scenery!! Fabulous guide: Julia Rosa was sooo knowledgable and spoke great english!! A good mix of stops and longer rides.
This tour requires an ability to ride on very difficult terrain and also in vehicle traffic therefore the participants should be experienced bikers .
Our guide was lovely and the ride was fun. The company’s very organized and timely. The only reason it is not a five star is because we were supposed to see the catacombs, but did not. No reason was given.
This bike tour is worth doing, but not for the non-bike rider. The Roman Appian Way is not smooth, and so for the average bike rider, this’ll jostle, but otherwise it’s a great tour. The aqueducts are incredible. The tour of the cypts were worth every second, very educational.. The stories of how they were built and when they were built are worth are worth hearing. It’s a the lunch was fantastic. We stopped at a little shop where they had homemade lasagna. Everything about the tour was great, but my only caution would be it’s not for the average rider
We had an awesome day riding on the Appian Way, visiting the catacombs and learning about the ancient aqueducts. Our guide, Rob, was knowledgeable and fun! We saw sheep, goats and turtles too. Would highly recommend.
Our guide, Lolo, was fantastic! He speaks 5 languages, really knows Roman history, and has a great personality. He was also very safe with our group when riding in parts of the city, making sure we navigated safely through intersections, etc. The tour route was very nice, with stops at unique places with beautiful scenery all around. The ride was intermediate which was perfect for us. We stopped for lunch at a pizza place and took it go then rode to a beautiful park located next to an ancient aquaduct. Perfect setting! We highly recommend this excursion.
Great outdoor activity. Nice to get a bit out of downtown and see great historic sites. The catacombs were fascinating and the aqueducts were amazing. Bike riding was fairly easy with some street traffic to deal with but our guide Maria did a great job keeping us safe. Highly recommended!
A great day if you want to get away from mass tourism and see a unique part of Roman history this is it! Guide shared lots of history and stories and it was a lovely way to spend the day. Highly recommend it. Oh be warned the 6 hour is an intermediate bike ride over dirt potholes rocks … fun but you should be pretty comfortable on a bike.
The Appian Way E bike tour was a great way to get an overview of ancient Roman life and history while also getting some fresh air and exercise. Rens was an excellent guide, keeping our group of five safe through the city streets. There is some city riding in this tour so that could be a factor in your decision whether to book. But he guided us very well to the Appian Way portion and stopped to give us knowledgeable information about different emperors, the baths, the aqueducts, the purpose of the Appian Way etc. Highly recommend!
Maria Rosa was great! She kept us all safe and even taught us some Italian words. Views were amazing! It was so nice to get out of the city for a few hours. E-bikes were the way to go to travel around. I especially enjoyed the Turbo going up the hills! Grazie mille Maria Rosa!
Julia with TopBikes was great. She is a local, who had helpful info regarding multiple sites, even those not listed in the itinerary.
What a great experience to get on a bike and go off the beaten path in Rome. I would highly recommend this tour in the beautiful Appian Way and learning about the Aqueducts and the catacombs. Our guide was fantastic and stopped often to explain the history and take pictures 10/10
Fun ride through history. Friendly, knowledgeable guide. Local lunch stop. The e-bikes worked great, well maintained. Thanks Maria!!
Was wonderful but a lot of bumpy roads and riding on the streets of Rome was quite scary, we had a wonderful time otherwise and highly recommend this day trip!!
Icaros was amazing and super informative! He made us feel safe in the city despite the traffic. He answered all of our questions. We’d highly recommend this tour to anyone going to Rome.
Excellent tour, get outside the city and see some country side. Be prepared the Appian road will be extremely bumpy due to large cobblestones. Our guide Arena was great, patient waited to make sure everyone was together. Knew the history of the aqua ducts. Gave plenty of time of pictures and water breaks.
Good tour with a great lunch. The only thing that was missing is I wanted more information on the construction and engineering of the aqueducts. Not the Tours fault, but there was one person who was struggling with the bike, it slowed us down.
This bike tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Rome. It was such a great way to see a different side of the city, especially the areas outside the busy center and all of the parks and greenery along the way. The Appian Way, catacombs, and aqueducts were definitely highlights, but we also really enjoyed everything in between. The route gives you a great mix of history, scenery, and quieter parts of Rome that we probably wouldn’t have seen otherwise. There’s also a nice stop for gelato and coffee along the way. It was a perfect alternative to spending another day walking everywhere. Our tour guide was very patient, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience enjoyable. Highly recommend if you want to see more of Rome beyond the usual sights!
Rick was an excellent guide. We felt safe riding with him and appreciated all the history and information that he shared along the way.
Excellent experience but not for the faint of heart or someone not accustomed to riding an e-bike.
Absolutely fantastic experience! Friendly welcome on arrival, bikes ready and a thorough briefing. E-bikes were great. Amazing route with great stops for views, photos and commentary. Rose was a superb guide - knowledgeable, entertaining, patient and genuine. A superb day out from start to finish!
Kids loved it , as did I . Safe riding away from the traffic - we loved it ! Great experience for the kids and we learnrd a lot about Roman History
This was my second time taking this tour, and I can't wait to come back to Rome to take it a third time. Both tour guides were spectacular: so knowledgeable, personable and memorable. The bikes were very clean and in excellent condition. I highly highly recommend this tour!
What a truly wonderful experience while in Rome. It takes you out of the city and into the countryside to enjoy not only being outdoors but the antiquities that created Rome. From stops at the catacombs pedaling along the Appian way to the beautiful Park where sheep still graze freely. It is a wonderful day.
Highly skilled guide, with clear english accent, and informative. We enjoyed the trip, smooth and easy to do
We were in Italy for 11 days and this was the coolest, most fun experience we had!!! Highly recommend!!! Rens was our guide and he was so much fun, explained the history of what we saw in an engaging way that made it interesting and kept our attention. I had never been on an e-bike and it was easy to use and fun to ride. Can’t recommend this experience enough!!
Amazing tour. Frequent stops. Do not be afraid of the 6 hour number, it did not feel like it. Icarus(?) was a great guide! Highly recommend even for newbies to ebike
This is a great way to get out of the city and see some great historical sites. The ebikes were the best way to enjoy an active day of touring but with an electric boost for the hills. Rossella was a wonderful guide who provided plenty of historical details, local color and good safety. advice.
