A lesson was fantastic. Unfortunately we had problems with our train and he was very accommodating so we didn’t miss too much. Great way to see Rome in just an afternoon. Completely recommend it! Just wish we had tasted some of his family’s porcini

My husband wanted to see it all but he can’t walk for long periods of time. This allowed us to see all the key point from a point that was so accessible. The guide Lorenzo was knowledgeable about his city and the history and spoke perfect English so that was a huge bonus for us and all the kids questions. No crowds to shuffle along with we love loved this way to see the city. Best of all we were picked up and dropped off at our hotel!
AVOID! We had one day in Tome and was contacted to move our tour from 10am to 8am the day before because of some expected road closures due to demonstrations in city centre, we unfortunately couldn’t do that as we arrived late the night before which we explained to Royal Tours, they said ‘okay to leave at 10am’. Next morning, we waited and waited and no one turned up, I whatsapped Mariana who had tried to change the booking and got no answer, I called the office number supplied and left a message, again no answer and no explanation given, I finally got through on online chat to GetYourGuide who also tried to contact Royal tours and couldn’t get through, they refunded my excursion but we had wasted a good amount of time in Rome waiting and trying to contact Royal Tours. Very disappointing and wouldn’t use again! Think twice before choosing this company!
Not worth $362.00 at all. The driver barely spoke to us. He didn’t even scan our tickets! We drove in circles and he stopped at most of our destinations- we had to remind him about some - like the Spanish Steps. The description said a golf food tour… all we got was a lot of bumpy driving, a slice of pizza at Cafe Roma and not much more. Sadly…very disappointed.
We booked a three hour golf cart tour with culinary tasting for 5:30pm. We were told they would contact us 5 min before pickup. We went 15 min early to where we supposed would be the meeting place and the guide was there and said “I have been her for an hour!! We moved your tour time. I contacted to SEVERAL times!” I had no messages or notices from her ever. The coordinator had given her a number that was not mine. She called the tour after ours to see if they would move their time back (why did they double book to begin with, i dont know) so we did get our full tour time thanks to the family after us being understanding. Our guide asked where we had been in Rome and we told her we had done the Colosseum and Roman Forum so we did not need to go there. She immediately took us to the Colosseum and spent a bit of time there despite what we had discussed. The rest of the tour was good but felt very rushed as she was still getting calls/messages from the next booked tour as well as the tour coordinator and kept having to explain that they had given her wrong contact info for me. But we did get to see all of the big sights and our guide was very nice. Unfortunately, this tour was also listed as a culinary tasting so we did expect some food. We got gelato at the very start, but nothing after other than stops at the Nasoni. My kids were starving as they had been expecting stops with some food. Overall, it was very poorly communicated what the tour actually was. I also am unclear as to why they just changed our tour time and expected that we would just be available immediately when they came an hour early. Disappointing at best.
Luigi was a great tour guide, listened to what we wanted to see on the tour. He took us to a great gelato place that gave us homemade whipped cream on the already delicious gelato! Luigi made sure we saw the top sights like the Colosseum lit up at night. He recommended a great piazza (Camp Fiori) near our apartment for a late night dinner after the tour. I would highly recommend this tour, it was one of my family’s favorite activities of our whole trip!
What a treat! This is a fabulous way to visit many attractions and get around the city easily. Valerio was great! We had 6 people. 2 middle-age & 4 young adults. We all enjoyed hopping off and on to snap a few pics. This is a fabulous way to visit many attractions and get around the city easily. I recommend booking it early in your trip! Valerio, our guide, was great!
Driver was an hour late. Seemed lost at first. We never had a culinary experience. No water offered. No food. And he wasn’t going to drop us off at meeting point. Wanted us to walk from Colosseum to hotel. After I said no he drove us back to hotel.
No one ever showed up. Have not been able to get a response from anyone either. I have tried to message them through the app, their WhatsApp numbers, and email!
Great guide and a entirely great experience!
Great way to see major sights in Rome. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Definitely recommend.
We walked thirty minutes to tour starting point and no one showed up. Called company and they said it was cancelled but never contacted us about it. Told us to reschedule.
We had limited time in Rome, so this tour was a great way to see some major Rome landmarks in an easy to see way. Our driver, Valentino, made sure we saw the must dos on our list as well as the other stops along the way. He provided a lot of knowledge of the places as well. He and my husband got to counting all the churches we saw on the route. He was a great driver and we were happy visitors.
Our tour guide was fantastic! Worth every penny. He was so kind and had so much passion about Rome. He showed us many incredible sights including churches, fountains, schools, and of course the Colosseum, Pantheon, and Trevi fountain and much more in between. We felt safe the entire time and learned so much about Rome on our crash course. If we wanted to stop and see something not planned, he was more than willing to make accommodations. We will remember this trip for the rest of our lives!
Came and did the tour in Oct 2025 with family. The tour was great. There was a little of a language barrier trying to order drinks at the bar.
This was a great way to see the city. Fredrico was very informative, and I would recommend him highly. As a matter of fact, I already have to more of my family who is coming to Rome soon!
We went on our very first golf cart Tour this past week and this tour did not disappoint! It was definitely the best tour we booked throughout our entire Italy trip. Mash was our driver and picked us up on time right in front of our hotel. He was so sweet and considerate and we really enjoyed our time with him. He accommodated us throughout the entire tour and took us to see sights and landmarks that we wouldn't of thought to see on our own. We had already seen some of the stops on the itinerary, so he drove us to different stops of our choosing. He let us take our time and get off at every stop to take pictures. We will cherish these memories forever. He was the absolute best and I would recommend this golf cart tour to everyone I know! The price was also great compared to similar tours and the ability to help plan our stops was worth every penny. This was definitely the highlight of our time in Rome. If you are trying to decide which tour to book, do yourself a favor and book this one!! Ask for MASH! Afterwards, he even recommended some restaurants and coffee shops and those were amazing as well!!
Unfortunately the experience did not take place so I am Unable to rate the trip. The tour guide was involved in an accident and was unable to meet us. It’s very unfortunate because we’re only here for one day.
There are plenty of golf cart operators in Rome--choose a different one. We scheduled a tour for 7 people for 1:30pm with a pickup at our preferred location. The day before the tour, the company contacted us and requested we move the time to 12:30. Wasn't ideal, but we agreed to it. The day of the tour, the driver showed up with a cart for 5 people. Shouldn't have been a surprise we had 7 people, but the driver acted nonplussed... And said he would come back with a bigger golf cart in 30 minutes. 45 minutes later. He calls us to tell us there is an Uber coming to us to pick us up and take us to him. We reluctantly got in the Uber and went to Pizza di Popolo, where we started the tour at when? My original requested time of 1:30pm. The tour was fine, it's essentially a photo-op run between sights with minimal tour guide information. The tour guide was friendly enough. There was a stop at a nice little alimentaria where we had some good cheese/cold cuts/wine, merits an extra star. After the snack, the driver quickly drove through the Pantheon piazza--no stop--then got on the road back to our drop-off location, skipping the Spanish Steps stop. At 3:55pm he dropped us off. So, a total of less than 2.5 hours. The driver shrugged and said he had another job. I contacted Royal Tours and offered them the chance to reimburse us the missed 1/6 of the tour, and they acknowledged their failure and asked for my bank info. However, they never acted on the reimbursement. We've had great experiences with other tour operators on GYG in Rome. You can easily find other options on the platform, which is generally pretty good.
We had the some of the best guides for our 3 golf carts to fit our family of 14. They were so accommodating and friendly. They were engaging and interacted well with my teenagers. We had a lovely taste of the main attractions in the city.
Highly recommend this tour! Leonardo was an excellent guide! It was amazing to see the different parts of Rome and to learn about the history and culture from a knowledgeable and passionate guide. Also, the gelato was the best that we had in Italy!
An unforgettable day with Giacomo! He was super kind and made the day really special for me and my family. Everything was just perfect. Thank you!
The golf cart tour with Lorenzo and Giacomo was amazing. They were polite and very informative. The tour was everything we hoped it would and more. We would definitely recommend booking a trip with them.
Had a great tour around Rome with Lorenzo! Really accommodating and knowledgeable, took us to all the sights and was a really fun morning. We (2 adults, 2 children) all really enjoyed our tour of Rome, would recommend!
Our tour guide Giacomo made this the best experience! We saw all the sights and had plenty of photo ops. We tried local gelato while taking in the views of the Colosseum and even scored an amazing restaurant recommendation for an authentic tic lunch away from the crowds. Would definitely recommend you book this tour, and ask for Giacomo!
This tour was amazing! We only had one night in Rome so we wanted to see as much as we can. We did an evening tour which was perfect since it started to cool down for the second half of the tour. Our guides were Lorenzo and Giacomo, they were both so nice and polite. They also made the tour fun and engaged everyone in conversation even our young son and kept calling him by name. Our kids loved it and so did we, it was also nice not to walk especially after we had a long train ride to get to Rome. I highly recommend this company! In fact I am booking another tour for some family for another upcoming stop at Rome.
