It was good, we enjoyed it. It was extremely walkable.

We liked the game. We also visited places in Rome that we didn't originally plan to go to. But they were worth it thanks to this game. Its installation was complicated. The instructions were confusing. In the end, we managed it, but we almost gave up.
Great exercise for our first afternoon and seeing the sites of Rome in a fun way! Wish there was more detail from the book or movie.
Amazing adventure! My wife found it and it was the best thing we've done it in Rome. We love it! We learned a lot and we had a great time. Was nice that we stopped and continued whe we like it.
Something different, fun thing to do. Had a few glitches with churches being closed and not being able to find clues etc. but fun overall.
Had the best time although some of the questions were hard due to the work being done on some of the statues and ect as most of Rome is being cleaned up for 2025 so some of the things were hard or impossible to find
This was such a terrific was to see a different side of Rome. The quest took us slightly off the beaten track and it was fantastic. We decided to make a day of it and thought that racing across the city trying to post the fastest time was such a waste. We stopped for lunch at a lovely 'family run' restaurant along the way which was why one part of our quest took over 2 hours!!! It was the first time I had tried one of these app led encounters and now it will be the first thing I look for wherever I go next. The only downside was that some of the 'clues' were covered by scaffolding so we had to really use our imagination at times but also skip a couple of the answers. That doesn't put me off giving this experience 5 stars though. We saw things that otherwise we would have missed.
Very poorly put together. The clues were very general, needed to be more specific. We reached out to let the company know that it wasn’t working out and they never responded. Will not use Questo ever again.
The concept is simple, the experience was excellent. A terrific way to explore the city. The quest took us from one place to the next, venturing down side streets and seeing things we might have otherwise missed. The only disappointment was nothing to do with the app, but the amount of scaffolding currently erected to maintain the sights in preparation for next year's jubilee celebrations. We didn't bother with the timer, we were not interested in posting the quickest time, indeed one part of the quest took us over 90 minutes because we found a wonderful restaurant in a side street to have lunch. We actually spent the entire day following the clues to discover hidden gems in the city. Thoroughly recommend this app. The facts it produces are informative too and you get to learn some really interesting tit-bits! Definitely will look out for more when visiting other cities!
Horrible. Don’t waste your time or money. Confusing. App and maps useless. Take a nice walking tour or guided tour. Lesson learned
Beautiful places, intrigued by the stories. It's a nice way to pass an evening with friends doing something different, win win situation - knowledge and fun.
Excelent experience, really fun and entertaining way to get to know the city. If you are a fan of the movie this is a one of a kind thing to do.
Fun and cute for the family! It takes you all over Rome and the sites you see and fun you experience make you not even notice all the walking you did!
Fantastic way to explore Rome! We saw the movie Angels and Demons several times and this game made the experience complete.
Lovely way to explore the city and to keep the kids motivated to search for clues. We watched the movie 'Angels & Demons' prior to our trip and it was fun to find yourself in some of those places in real life.
A really fun experience that took us to some wonderful (and hidden) spots in Rome. We also did the Ghosts of Rome which was a bit more seamless (Angels and Demons had a few misleading questions), but Angels and Desmond takes you to all the big deal tourist spots in Rome. Would certainly recommend it!
Nice walk in Rome, quite a long walk, some challenges are super easy, but second challenge is wrong, maybe there were some changes in the place so there Is no missing word. This challenge need to be fixed and updated. We spend a lot of time there with no solution, So we had to skip it.
Getting some additional back-story on the locations that we were sent to... That was incredible... Making us both think and learn added so much more than just being a tourist.
Fun way to wander around Rome on foot. The clues were pretty simple, we enjoyed the story, similar the film, and we saw and learned things we wouldn’t have without this adventure. Worth a couple of hours of your time if you have a spare day in Rome!
App didn’t work, impossible to connect other players. The game was too long and an exhausting walk when Rome is hit by a heatwave. Very basic riddles. Absolutely no value for money. Not an escape.
Great activity to do something different from museums in Rome, you visit ten different places and the game tells you the story of each
This game is a fun way to orient yourself to the Rome area. The puzzles are fairly simple and takes you across all over the city.
Great way of exploring Rome and walking round the main sites over a 5K distance. Some clues were quite difficult. Plenty of shopping distractions. Don't do it in afternoon as too hot. Wear sensible footwear.
This would have been a great experience but had technical difficulty as i am not tech savy. Ended up running out of daylight to complete game and could not figure out how to pause so had to quit game. But when playing the game was very enjoyable.
Brilliant way to follow the trail of the illuminati from Dan Browns Angels and Demons book. An immersive experience that you can complete in your own time at a tenth of the cost of a tour. I’m really pleased I found this app so thank you to the creators
The Vatican at night was really a life changing experience. It is the best time to do it at night. Honestly had so much fun
Too easy for adults, the riddles are finding the word on a statue, couting how many things are on a statue etc. So level of difficulty is for 8-10 year olds but I don't know if the murder story and lot of walking would be for them. And like others said one of the riddles is inside Pantheon so outside of working hours you have to google the answer
Lucinda was warm and extremely friendly. She explained the what we were seeing and answered my questions in a way that made sense. If I was to go to Rome again I would definitely go on a tour with her.
The required app was not available for download the entire day we were in Rome. We were never able to do this game. I have reached out to viator three times and they have denied my request for a refund.
Great way to see the city. Fun figuring out the clues. Took us to places we would have missed. Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and St. Peter's Piazza included
This was a great app to help introduce and familiarise ourselves with the city on the first day of arrival. It took the hard work out of planning where and in which order to visit key locations and sites. All the top sites and a several interesting surprise sites were in the itinerary with prompts to look for features, which meant that we looked around with greater purpose. The fact finding and puzzle solving was a great way to engage in the surroundings . The app was easy to download, start and use, with live map to help guide you to next site. The puzzles were fun and not too taxing, which meant that we didn’t feel pressure to be super sleuths. While it was themed on Angels and Demons by Dan Brown set in Rome, you didn’t need to read the book or watch the movie beforehand. The trail was great. We completed 5 out 9 stages on the first day. It was easy to pick up again from where we left off the next day. We successfully completed the challenge which was very satisfying too. This is the first time we have used Questo App and definitely would use again. Thanks Questo for genius way to get us around the city sites in a fun and stimulating way. Have already recommended to friends and folk and will look out for more in other locations to play.
It was amazing, we have done it in family with two teenagers and it was a brilliant way to get around the city and pay attention to details we would never have if not for the game. 100% worth it. Would do this again on another city. We are now fans :)
Fantastic app. Whole family loved it, great way to see the city, and sights we might have missed. 100% recommend!!
This was a great experience, saw parts of Rome we might have missed. Would recommend, whole family enjoyed it
This was a fun way of seeing the city. Trying to find the clues made everything that much better. I would recommend to everyone
it is a very nice way to explore the city and neighborhoods. very good you can do it on your now pace and take lunch, breaks; visit some places longer and so on. Rome is very nice place to visit and to discover this way. we enjoyed as well the history explained in the game and the game.
As fans of the book and the movie, we bought this game that took us through the city and we discovered a few churches, buildings and fun secrets about the city! We ended on St Peter’s Square :)
We loved our Questo tour, we do them in every city we visit, as they let you explore the cities in depth. On this your, we got to see most of the major sights of Rome, following in the footsteps of Robert Langdon from Angels and Demons. Definitely bring walking shoes, it is quite a lot of walking! We would 100% recommend!
It was healthy,walking...it was amazing, learning things...it was quiet an adventure. One, in rome we couldn t do , we had it wrong all the time, you just ask for help and they ll help you... personally i would do it again as soon as i m going to another place...
It's a long walk if you're tired, but we rented scooters for some of the way and enjoyed ourselves to the fullest. We love those quests so much that we've started to choose cities to visit based on if they have games or not :)
We absolutely loved to play this mystery game with our children of 10 & 13. It not only helped to entertain us and them but also made us see some of the most important treasures of Rome.
I purchased this tour but the Quest App failed to load my booking. Viator also did not offer a direct link to the App to allow for the two to connect and so I could not utilise my purchase, was very disappointed.
Is only for those who wants to explore Rome in a different way. The story was interesting, but simple enough, and you visit to the main places of Rome. Is all walking but I enjoyed it.
We really took our time and splitted the walk in 2 parts. So we were happy we could ‘pause’ the game. We also watched the movie in between the two walks which made it even more fun. When visiting a different city we would definitely do another game.
Nice walk along some highlights of Rome. Questions are too easy. And be careful that you need to go inside Pantheon which is only possible with reservation if you do this in weekend.
A fabulous idea, really enjoyed finding out more about Rome from the app, we had a very enjoyable day. We were able to go into the Pantheon after only a short queue, no cost just needed a green pass.
A nice way to get to know the some of the most famous monuments of Rome. ***SPOILER ALERT** There's a point where you need to get into the Pantheon. The entrance used to be free but now, with covid, it requires a pre-registration.
The concept is amazing and so are the stories. It's perfect for when you want to see the city on your own or with your group and not be hurried or interrupted by anyone. Also, nice theme - loved the movie and the story
Very entertaining I did it with my father to our own speed and enjoying the city. No rush and no crowds
Great way to have the kids explore the city and remember some of the facts. Would recommend to the families with kids.
