We purchased a 3:00pm "Skip the LIne" entrance ticket. Arrived at 2:30. The "skip the line" line was over 1 1/2 hours long. We were told ticket would be valid even later due to long line. The line only got worse as time went on. This is NOT a skip the line ticket. It's just an entry ticket. Be prepared to stand in line for hours, even with the ticket. I am not sure if this is an issue with the provider or with the Pantheon itself.

Still had to Que Tour operators and their party were allowed to push in. The pantheon was fantastic and the audio offered informative and easy to listen too
Viator can be good for some things, but I was disappointed in this one. The audio was of poor quality making it hard to hear in a reasonably crowded site. A live guide I used previously was much better and provided more information.
Misleading title of rather expensive ticket - "Guided tour of the Pantheon in Rome" the guide is just an audio guide, the access is entirely standard though sold as 'fast track"
I enjoyed the self paced audio tour. It was amazing to stand in a building over 2000 years old. I did not know that it had been converted to a catholic church
It was nice to get inside, see and hear about the best-preserved ancient Roman monument in the world. The information on the audio was very good. It was nice to understand what we were looking at by listening to the audio.
From the time I entered and exited, the Pantheon audio guided tour brought my experience to life. I felt I was going back in time from construction to present day. I highly suggest the audio tour.
It was great. The line was fast and loved the Pantheon and the short videos on audio guide. We booked last minute and glad we did.
It was self guided and easy to navigate. You meet at the starting point first and it is about a 5 minute walk from there to the ruins, then colosseum is last!
Wanted to experience the Pantheon and chose to go with the self guided tour. Very informative and you can pick and choose what to listen to. The only bummer was I had to go outside and it took about 10 minutes of my time to download the app to get the audio to work.
Worth seeing. Electronic guide gives interesting background on the people and construction. Pickup of tickets was quick from oh my guide. The skip the line works relatively smoothly - the intimidatingly long middle queue disappears inside rapidly when your time arrives. Much better than waiting in the other slow long queues to buy tickets on the day.
Everything worked out well, note start outside and explore before entering and there is seating inside. Self tour took. About an hour.
Don't risk buying a ticket on the day - you really need to pre-book. Only waited 15 mins at our allotted time and although our 3rd visit it was great.
Brilliant, a must in Rome. Exceptional
It was confusing that the voucher sent was not the ticket. The ticket office had to send us the actual tickets over WhatsApp. Then we did have to wait in line although they said it was “fast track”. It probably took 20 minutes.
Extremely interesting structure. AmazIng to see. We were guided by audio on our own. It was very organized and informative audio.
I felt bad for the peolple visiting that had. I idea what they were looking at. Definitely get the headset. It’s animated and narrated mostly from the perspective of the people buried there, etc.
Quick purchase and coordination. I received the audio files shortly. Beautiful place to see.
I had a great experience from beginning to end. The Pantheon was even more impressive than I imagined, especially the dome and the oculus. Our guide shared the history, architecture, and little-known facts in a clear and engaging way, making the visit more meaningful. I enjoyed learning how this ancient building has lasted for almost 2,000 years and how its use has changed over time. The tour was well organized, informative, and fun. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rome.
So... get why they charge, but it's a little over-priced - was free, but now around €10-12. We pre-booked the day before with GYG and the meeting point for tickets was just outside. You won't need to spend much more than 30 mins inside I reckon. It's amazing through - construction, history - read up before you visit as that will help you understand what you are seeing! The centre is coned off which is good as it stops ppl clogging the space. Lots of history to take in, don't just turn up! Pre-book line is short (even in August).
Note that you do need to pick up your tickets from a separate office with friendly associates, that is a short walk away from the site, so give yourself extra time. Entry time is actually active for an hour, and there were more time slots available via Viator than the actual website. The pre-purchase line was much shorter than the pay onsite. You will pick up your audio guide inside the Pantheon, and they will need an ID for collateral. The Pantheon itself is well worth a stop.
Be forewarned on this one - they will tell you to preprint your tickets, but there is teeny tiny print that tells you that these NOT actually your tickets. You have to go find some office a few blocks away to exchange what you printed for a ticket. We waited in line for 20 minutes in 95 degree heat only to find out that we couldn't get in with said printed tickets. It took an hour to figure out where to go and how to get the real tickets. I'm sure it's beautiful inside but we were so frazzled by the experience that it was hard to enjoy, sadly.
Instructions are a little confusing and headsets aren’t great but compared to our other tour today, which was hideous, this was fine. We thought the stories in the audio were okay. The Pantheon was great.
Brilliant and easy to follow instructions.
This was a great budget-friendly option for visiting the Pantheon. Although I expected the skip-the-line experience selected and still had to wait in line, the self-guided audio tour was easy to use and let me explore at my own pace. While a live guide can provide more context and answer questions, I felt I received exactly what I paid for. I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a flexible, affordable way to experience the Pantheon.
It was beautiful but just a heads up before you melt away they say it’s strict dress code online and anywhere I’ve seen says shoulders and knees covered up or your denied entry so I wore pants and a shirt in 40 degree heat but when I arrived people were in mini skirts and crop tops I asked the guy n he said “it’s supposed to be but nobody does” just something I wish I knew before
Your timed entry is for an hour, so don't sweat picking up your tickets early and gettin there right on time, if your entry is at 9 a.m., you can enter between 9 and 10. The office to pick up the tickets is 5 minutes away so plan for that. The Pantheon is a must-see and recommend the earliest time possible to avoid the crowds. This tour comes with an audio-guide you pick up inside the Pantheon, don't pass this up, it's really informative.
Awesome monument to times gone by. The history of the Pantheon spans such a long period the only shame is that the original statues were removed through the 1400 years of history. The tour audio is informative and necessary to get a full history of this beautiful building. Small footnote: dress code is not controlled, with the exception that men must not wear hats.
Huge lines, not well organized , the audio guide was very short.
Very nice experience, guide was accurate and accessible to talk or ask questions . Quick to get in and very knowledgeable
Visiting the Pantheon with my family was one of the highlights of our Italy trip. The fast-track access made our visit smooth and stress-free, especially when traveling with family. The audio guide was informative and easy to follow, helping us learn about the fascinating history and architecture of this incredible monument. The Pantheon is truly breathtaking, from its magnificent dome to its rich historical atmosphere. My family enjoyed every moment exploring this iconic landmark and taking memorable photos together. The experience was well organized, and everything went exactly as planned. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rome with their family. It is a perfect way to discover one of Italy's most famous attractions while creating unforgettable memories together
Queued to pay to get in and to be honest in quicker than the skip the line. 5€ entrance fee. Well worth it. Anyone paying more for skip the line is silly. Beautiful building and well looked after for its age. Tip go early morning. You avoid the crowds.
Worth paying for guided tour So much fascinating structure information Or guide Gabriell was amazing
A beautiful building but very busy, far too many are allowed in at any one time. Audio was poor & all the exhibits numbers didn't correspond & worse, staff knew but nothing had been done. Was disappointed that people weren't adhering to the dress code & weren't being pulled up on this either. Worth buying your tickets in advance
Going inside the pantheon is a must to understand it full majesty - when you walk inside it takes your breath away the architectural achievements in human history are amazing. This ancient Roman temple, now a functioning church, has attracted visitors for nearly two millennia with its perfect proportions, innovative engineering, and lasting appeal. As Rome's best-preserved ancient building and home to one of the largest unreinforced concrete domes, the Pantheon provides a clear view of Roman architecture and human creativity - do not miss going inside have the audio guide explains all areas of the pantheon allow a couple of hours
Make sure the tickets are really available Was overbooked so when went to get tickets there were not any for ys
Pantheon is beautiful and very well preserved. Definitely worth visiting. It was convenient to get an advanced ticket but audio only worked for one not both of us
We bought tickets with audio guide on line about 75 days in advance of our visit . We bought direct from the Pantheon di Roma. The cost was 15 Euros each. You pick up the ticket at a nearby tour office. Then you walk over to the Pantheon and get in the pre-paid ticket line. We bought for the first time slot at 9AM ; we arrived at the pre-paid line at 8:45AM and there were about 20 people ahead of us in that time slot. Within a few minutes there were many more behind us. The audio guide is very good. It clearly explained the highlights of this important site. Plan to be in there for about 2 hours to cover the whole experience. By the end of our vist the place was crowded but still OK to walk about to admire the entirety of this scacred place. Upon leaving the building I noticed that the line for those without pre-paid tickets was very, very long. So, buy ahead and save a ton of time.
Beautiful, so much history, yet very well handled by using the audio guide. Although the audio guide was in no particular order as in relation to the artifacts and displays. Was much easier to sit and listen, then walk around and recognize what you had heard. Ticket was worth it, would recommend. Line moved quickly, beware for individuals attempting to cut line and attemt to circumvent the queue to gain entry before you and your party claiming there are 2 lines.
A lovely chap met us, we scanned a QR code, downloaded an app, logged in with the details he provided and then he walked us to the “skip the line” with our preprinted tickets that he provided. Easy to locate the meeting point and the audio is clear.
Just like every major attraction in Rome the Pantheon is insanely crowded. It's hard to enjoy and absorb any of them with a quality visit. If I had known this beforehand I would not have bothered. Be warned.
This was an interesting tour narrated by Rick Steves, which could have been downloaded regardless of paying for the tour. However, given the ticket line, it was good to have purchased the tickets in advance so we didn’t have to wait.
We arrived at 7:30am and there was no one around, great for external pics. Had to wait for opening. Do not eat or drink in the places in the piazza we did food was horrible and expensive bit needed the toilet. Going inside judt crazy, loads of people, but enjoyed the audio guide - an incredible buiding.
I will likely never use Viator to purchase tickets again. Rather than tickets, what I received was a voucher to purchase tickets a remote location. I waited in the “priority entry” line for 15 minutes only to be told what I had been given was not a ticket. Moreover, my supposed reserved entry time was meaningless. Rather than to walk to the remote location to redeem my voucher for tickets, we instead got in another line and just purchased general entry tickets. The my purchase through Viator was a complete waste of money and, in my opinion, I was misled.
I received a message from the venue the night before the tour telling me that our places were cancelled due to overbooking. I messaged Viator for a refund and have received nothing from them except automated messages telling me the event is about to happen and then asking for a review.
It was good day for me visit such historical place .
I was lucky enough to explore Rome with Mohammad and it was genuinely one of the highlights of my entire trip to Italy. From the moment the tour began it was clear that Mr. J has a deep and genuine love for Roman history and culture. His storytelling is exceptional — he has a rare gift for making ancient history feel immediate, personal and thrilling. He took us through streets and corners of Rome that most tourists completely miss, sharing stories and historical context that you simply cannot find in any guidebook. His multilingual skills also made our mixed group feel completely comfortable and included throughout the entire experience. Journey with Mr. J is not just a tour — it is a real journey through time. Absolutely unforgettable!
Excellent place to visit although queue was quite long it didn't take long to get in. The audio guide is very useful as it tells you about the history of the pantheon
A small building, only one room but there are quite a few things to see in there. We had an audio guide which definitely helped. The gift shop had run out of guide books which was frustrating as we would have liked to learn more about the history of the building. We bought skip the line tickets which was a good idea as the queue to buy tickets was very long.
Worked great. Picked up our tickets 2 blocks from the pantheon. No wait to pick up tickets, no wait to go inside. Audio guide was good.
