A great tour on Halloween night!

This was the first activity we did after arriving in Rome. It was a good choice. It took us thru about three key neighborhoods and gave the kids a great (and entertaining) intro to the city and its history.

We really enjoyed our tour. Our guide was very knowledgable and we enjoyed hearing about the history of the places we visited. The tour group was small and it felt much more personal. This was our second tour with the company and we would definitely book again on our next visit.

Thanks to our amazing guide Sabrina, we learnt about stories of ghosts and history of people who marked the Roman history in a fun and different way. My 12 year old son loved it. I highly recommend the tour.

Great stories! The church and crypt were very interesting to visit.

It was a lovely small group. We had a great walk round listening to stories and seeing places I wouldn't ordinarily notice! Some places I walked past so many times but never realised the stories and bits of history linked to them. The guide was great, she shared so much more interesting anecdotes and she was really open to questions! If you are looking for something a little different this is definitely for you - I have been to Rome many times so was looking for something new and this did not disappoint. The 2 hours just flew by so fast and I will definitely book another next time I visit - thank you!

We were delighted the group was so small, better experience. We find out a lot, Francesca was lovely and served stories in very interesting and funny way. I liked interaction with the group. The rain was lashing, but even that didn’t ruin the atmosphere, and it was nice. Fee was reasonable, and the 2,5 hours tour was just right.

Absolutely awesome informative tour

It was well worth it! I loved just walking around to different areas and learning little tidbits of local lore and history! I would definitely do it again. It was a very small group which made it even more enjoyable. I will definitely do it again when I come back with different people and I will try their other tours as well.

A very interesting Tour that weaves historical knowledge into some murder mistery stories so history becomes interesting to teenagers .

My tour on the 7th was amazing! This tour was great! Lots of interesting facts and stories told by a great storyteller tour guide. Going into the church and crypt at night was our favorite.

I joined the Dark Side of Rome Tour with Underground Bones Crypt with Live Virtual Guide, and our guide, Federica, instantly felt familiar—probably because I’d been seeing her fascinating short videos on social media in the weeks leading up to the trip. Experiencing her storytelling in person felt almost exclusive, especially since it ended up being just me and my family on the tour. What made the experience stand out was how interactive and engaging Federica was. She encouraged us to ask anything at any point, and she has this great way of building suspense—sometimes answering your questions only when the story naturally reaches that moment later in the tour. It kept us hooked the whole time. I also appreciated how thoughtful she was with pacing. She let us sit and relax whenever there was a good spot for it, and at roadside stops she always made sure we were safely out of traffic before diving back into the history. Overall, it was fun, fascinating, and surprisingly immersive. If you’re considering any of Federica’s tours, I highly recommend them—she knows how to bring Rome’s darker stories to life in the best possible way.

Honestly this was one of the best tours I had in Rome. It is a different and creative way to tell a part of this history of the city. And we had a nice evening tour in the historic center as well. I highly recommend it. Big thanks to Federica .. amazing and super friendly guide

It was such an interesting tour where I learned about the ghosts and executions happening around Rome. My favorite story was the one from the bartender. An unexpected ending!

This was a very interesting & wonderful tour. It was a good surprise to see and hear the different stories concerning the after life and some stories of previous popes.

It was so nice to finally meet Frederica after viewing many of her tours during Covid. She is knowledgeable, energetic and a great storyteller. She was very accommodating when we were running late and made sure that we were able to join the tour. Highly recommend this tour.

It was a great tour. Besides some ghost stories and the dark side the underground bones crypt was fascinating. All of those skulls was beyond my imagination of what a church should look like. It was very humbling.

Federica was a wonderful guide. She kept the stories and sights very interesting (I don't want to give away they mysteries). A dark past in amazing places. It was a great way to end the evening, a slow walking pace so the haunted conversations could be had. Very small group, after the very crowds, this was perfect 2 hours. We enjoyed it very much.

What a great tour, Frederica was amazing, knowledgeable, funny and over all a great guide. Best tour you could do in Rome for sure. We did the dark side of Rome tour which we really enjoyed but I think all the tours with such a good guide would be worth it.

This tour and the hidden gems tour with Frederica was fantastic! So much interesting and ( spooky!) history wonderfully presented by a guide who is clearly very passionate about Rome. Frederica’s excellent story telling really made us feel immersed in the rich history of Rome with some good humor thrown in. Very fun. My only regret is we booked all the tours - definitely the next time we return!

Having watched the Instagram videos for years it was a must! Away from the glitz and glamour of romes historic monuments we tried the ‘Dark Side’ of Rome tour. It was so educational and interactive we loved it! It’s a side of Rome you’d never normally experience.

I’d been wanting to join a tour with LVG ever since I discovered them back in 2022, and they absolutely did not disappoint. Federica led the Dark Side of Rome tour, which was entertaining, exciting, and full of laughter and great conversation with the whole group. We visited places I’d never have thought to explore on my own, seeing the city from a completely different perspective. The mix of history, ghost stories, and atmospheric sights made for a truly memorable evening. It felt especially fitting to see the tribute to Giordano Bruno at Campo de' Fiori - throughout the tour, I kept thinking of his words: "Se non è vero, è molto ben trovato." Even if the stories weren’t all true, they were damn good fabrications! A wonderfully engaging experience—I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

Very engaging guide. Different perspective on some Roman history. The Church crypt and the Order provided a very necessary service for Ancient Rome.

We were a small, friendly group, and despite the rather serious topic, we had a lot of fun and laughed a lot. Perhaps we're being haunted by ghosts now, but that certainly has nothing to do with Federica's skills as a tour guide. It was a truly wonderful experience.

Stories are really dark and give you creeps! Walk is amazing and you have a new view on things you've seen at daylight! Knocking on closed church door was great experience!

Interesting stories on this tour! You will visit places you don't normally see, and places that are familiar will be seen through a completely different perspective after this tour. The guide, Federica, is very attentive and enthusiastic about Roman history. Even the history nerds in our group have gained new insights!
