Another brilliant tour packing a lot of knowledge into an enjoyable evening around the Capitoline Hill. The guide was genuinely excellent and was able to answer all of our questions and made some great recommendations for the rest of our stay. I wish I had booked more of our tours through LVG. Tours with other providers haven't lived up to the high bar set here. Thabks for a wonderful evening.

Itinerary
When visiting Rome for the first time, many people mistake this building for the Colosseum. It's no surprise, since the design of the Colosseum was inspired by this theatre, which is about 100 years older!
This is the top of the Capitoline hill, one of the most iconic and important hills of Rome since ancient Roman times. Everything in this square was designed by Michelangelo. Including the building of the oldest museum in the world, which is right here!
We will have beautiful sunset (or after sunset) views over the city center of ancient Rome: the forum. The views are breathtaking at night and we will see lots of reconstructions to see what the forum looked like originally.
We'll walk on an ancient Roman street and learn how streets were made back then.
This is one of the most iconic places in Rome. A long street over thousands of history everywhere you look!
This was the last and biggest forum ever built in Rome, the Forum of Trajan. This forum featured also something you wouldn't imagine comes form ancient Rome: the first shopping mall in the world!

Federica was one of the best guides we’ve ever had, anywhere. She made the sights come alive with her easy explanations of what we were seeing and her deep knowledge of historical events and people. Evening is the perfect time to see these sights- the beautiful sky and milder air, and the lights as they come on create a lovely atmosphere. I learned more in our time together than I had poring over countless websites, guide books, and videos. All around first rate!
Guide was knowledgeable and Interexting
Our guide was so informative and explained so much in intricate detail. A superb tour
A great experience walking through piazzas and Roman imperial sites with a terrific guide and storyteller. The pace was easy and the information related directly to what we were seeing, with plenty of quirky sidebars.
Frederica was excellent. Very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Answered all our questions. Wouldn't hesitate to take another tour with her
This tour was amazing. It was so well organized right from the start. We received reminder notices before the tour. The meeting point was well described and easy to find. The group was small so it was truly an interactive tour. Our guide, Frederica was super nice, and extremely knowledgeable. She made this tour a truly enjoyable experience. I would strongly recommend this tour to anyone who would like to learn more about Roman Forums and put a meaning to areas that once were glamorous and splendid.
During this trip I learnt more about the history of Rome and the Roman Forums. Our guide was very nice and welcoming. She explained things very clearly and made sure the tour was interactive and interesting! I loved it, and would recommend this to anyone interested to learn more about the history of Rome.
My husband wanted to visit the Forum again 20 years after our first visit. The tour after dark was so amazing and our Guide made such an impression on our daughter that we had to go to the museum on our last day.
Great experience at night--interesting--tour should be longer for the price. Tour guide was excellent. Really enjoyed it!
Very interesting tour. Loved walking around at night in an area with very few tourists but lots of historical places. This was my third visit using this company for a tour and none of them disappoint. They are always informative, fun and small groups. I can’t recommend them enough and I take tours all over the world.
I wanted to let you know what a great tour the Rome Sunset Tour was and what an amazing guide Federica is! The places she showed us on the Capitoline Hill were areas I would not have seen otherwise. The views of the various Forums were incredible, especially lit up at night! Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Think you know Rome. Then you learn even more. It was the sunset tour of Capitoline Hill/Imperial Forums. Learned more about renessiance Rome. This was my 4th tour. Federica makes it more personal.
My husband and had the pleasure of doing the evening sunset Ancient Rome and Forum walking tour with Frederica on our first night in Rome. What a way to start our trip! This was one of the best (if not THE best) tours we have ever done! Frederica was engaging and so knowledgeable. First of all, the experience of booking was excellent. They answered all of our questions and were so accommodating right from the start. Once we arrived in Rome, we met our guide Frederica. Her understanding, love and enthusiasm for Roman history is obvious. She shared many little nuggets of information. We were so entertained - and the walk was beautiful. Exactly what we needed to get through the jet lag from a full day of travel. We would highly recommend this tour company - and especially Frederica.
Evening tour of Roman Forum with Frederica. Well planned with easy meeting point. Our guide was very knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. There were only 4 in the group. The tour focused on the Roman period and there were plenty of wow moments as we appreciated the views at sunset. She provided illustrations of now and then so we would gain a greater understanding. She was very kind and looked after us over the hour and a half or so.
Excellent delightful tour with Federica and learn about the Palatine, Michelangelo design of the main square near Mayor office, the Forum, r=etc
