Itinerary
Many significant events in Roman history occurred in or near the Roman Forum. For example, the funeral of Julius Caesar was held in the Forum, and the Roman emperors often celebrated their military victories with triumphal processions through its streets. The Forum housed various temples dedicated to Roman gods and goddesses, such as the Temple of Vesta, the Temple of Castor and Pollux, and the Temple of Caesar. It was a site of religious ceremonies, rituals, and festivals, playing a vital role in the religious life of the Romans.
Palatine Hill Palatine Hill's fame can be attributed to its historical connections to the founding of Rome, its association with imperial palaces, the stunning views it offers, the archaeological excavations that have revealed ancient treasures, its mythological ties, and its cultural and historical significance as a symbol of Roman power and luxury.

I purchased a voucher for 2 tickets to visit the Forum. The website did not make it clear that one was purchasing a voucher, not a ticket, and the voucher must be redeemed at a particular time/place to get the tickets. We arrived at the appointed time/place, found the agency rep standing with a card. He told us that ‘the ticket server was down’, and offered to get tickets for the following day. We were to return to US the next day, so that was not an option. He offered to refund our money, and to his credit I received an email that evening saying a refund was being processed.
The staff member of TravelR was 10 minutes late to the meeting point to give us our tickets and he was unresponsive to WhatsApp messages and calls at the scheduled time of our meetup (because he was riding the Metro). It was very stressful looking for him in the outside of the busy Colosseum Metro stop and he wasn't there or answering his phone. We were on a tight timeline and his lateness was frustrating.
A terrible experience. Terrible instructions about how to find the vendor. Terrible to have to wait so long once we did find him. Terrible lines.
You could literally spend all day exploring the ruins! Its an amazing place full of history and artifacts. Take a water bottle with you and wear comfortable shoes. Go as early as possible as the lines (even fast track) get so busy!
Good pick if you want to walk around on your own while getting good information from the audio guide. The super pass is a must!
Amazing. Raju was very kind to help me with the tickets, guided me to the entrance. Gave me a great explanation and set up the audio tour. Very kind.
Very helpful professional and friendly. Travel hours extremely helpful and finding the location and giving me directions on what to expect next.
While the Forum is an amazing part of Rome’s history I would opt to do a guided tour next time instead of a self guided tour. This one came with an audio version that was out of order. We had no idea where to start and didn’t realize at first that we were listening to one thing while looking at another a simple map would have helped.
Ticket location pick up was not at the entrance to the forum, but up by the coliseum. 300m away. RIDICULOUS We had a 3:00 tour and did not get our tickets until 4:30 when we were able to get WiFi! Unbelievable Needless to say we never got to take the tour! A waste of money. Just get in line and do your own thing. Skip Viator for this one! Not even worth the money. I would give this a zero star if I could
The whole day was wonderful, but brought alive by a brilliant guide who made the experience come to life, explained the history with humour, knowledge and skill. We cannot thank her enough for making our day so memorable.
Amazing tour!! We skipped the line and had an incredible time viewing the forum! You can’t go wrong with this tour group just give it a try you won’t regret it
We paid £67 for 2 queue jump tickets and told where to meet to collect tickets. We got to the meeting place to find nobody there at the time of the meeting we received a call saying had we received an email with our tickets. I looked and we had but the tickets were €18 each and we still had to stand a long queue on a red hot day just to enter the forum. Why were we charged £67 and why if we bought queue jump tickets did we still have to wait in a long queue?
The tour guide was very good learning allot about history I didn’t know Would recommend a tour guide for the knowledge Skip the queue worked well
Wondered around amlessly trying to find entry point and/or contact per instructions. Finally after asking 4 persons we came in contact with a person who validaded the ticket and told us we had to enter the Collisium in order for us to enter The Roman Forum. (We've already had a tour of the Collisum years ago and were looking forward to spending all our time at the Roman Forum and Pallintin Hills) We had to ask information at the Collisium how to get entry to The Forum and then proceed to the next ticket booth. It was very hot that day, and took us hours to finally arrive at the Forum. Very confusing and time consuming. Would not recommend.
Amazing experience. So much to see and although my second visit well worth doing again. Very easy to get access and communication around tickets excellent
Good info. Guy explained stuff better than my university lecturer. Will come back if I got the time to finish my year 2 report in time
Even though we were late, the guys found an option to let us inside the Forum. Everything was fine but really, it’s better to come at least 15 mins in advance
It was supposed to be "Skip The Line" but it took an hour finding the agents and then being passed from agent to agent 4 times and waiting for them. So what was the point? We might as well have joined the queue.
What a horrible experience. Rude, rude, rude guy who got us in. We were supposed to be there at 2pm... confirmed by tour company. At 1:40 got nasty phone call asking where we were. Gave crap directions and didn't even hold up small sign at location to meet. Made us (most people over 70) sprint to front of line. Would never, never use TravelR tour group again!
I needed a ticket on short notice for the same afternoon, and wasn't able to buy it anywhere else online. TravelR had some tickets prebooked and available for a reasonable markup. Handover went smoothly, they got in contact via WhatsApp.
Skip the line access is a must if you are visiting the Roman forum and Palatine Hill! We couldn’t locate the meeting point and Raju went out of his way to find us and brought us directly to the entrance!
The tickets were not sent to us by email after payment, but we had to stand at a kiosk at a certain time to meet a totally overwhelmed employee from Bangladesh. The meeting place was hard to find. And why even such a meeting place? This is untrustworthy and has put us under a lot of stress.
