Quality E-bike Rental In Rome

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Top Bikes in Rome! The bikes were excellent quality, the prices were very reasonable, and the entire staff was incredibly kind, professional, and enthusiastic about helping us have a great experience. A special shout-out to Zach, who went above and beyond! He spent so much time with us making sure we had a route that was safe, enjoyable, and exactly what we were looking for. He was patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely excited to help us make the most of our day exploring Rome on two wheels. They even opened earlier than their posted hours. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend Top Bikes to anyone visiting Rome! And just to clarify, this is NOT Zach’s mother writing this review!

Mehrab, our guide, was fantastic, as well as the entire route. Such a fun way to get out of the city center of Rome to see the Apian way, mausoleums, the aqueducts, catacombs, and other aspects of Rome a tourist doesn’t get to see if only staying in the city center. Check-in and safety were smooth and top-notch, the facility and bikes were in great shape, The adventure aspect alone was worth the price. But add to that the epic centuries old history and infrastructures we stopped at, and this tour is truly unforgettable. Glad we were all comfortable on a bike, and happy for the free water stops and the free refillable water bottle they gave us. I was anticipating that the 98 F degree day would make it unbearable, but it was very doable. Many moments of shade, and the cold catacomb tour midway through the 6-hour adventure was perfect timing. The golden sun made the last portion of the biking even more gorgeous and film-like. Yes, we got dusty and sweaty, and were very tired but it was clear that this tour instantly became one of our family’s top 5 adventures ever. We have been on safari in Africa, and backpacking Grand Tetons. In short, it was inspiring and we are so thankful for the opportunity to enjoy our last day in Rome in this way.

This year's trip to Rome started with a sunny Sunday bike tour - and to be honest: It started even before we came to Rome After having booked our bikes online the Topbike team sent us some GPX trecks in and around Rome. We took the Via Appia Attica treck, due to the sunny weather in an extended version of 34 km, on our own. The mountainbikes were just perfect for the surface and the treck profile - and with the extra equipment (locks, repair kit, air pump) we were confident enough to handle every situation possibly coming. We loved every metre of our tour - and even the dinner after our trip was a good choice. Our guide Aaliyah was extremely professional, always looking out for us, and she took us on a really great and safe route. Honestly, we thought the tour would feel very long, but the time flew by. A perfect ten for our guide. The next time we come to Rome we’ll definitely do it again—hopefully we’ll get the same guide ☺️.

I felt well cared for when getting set up with a bike. The operator made sure everything was right for me, and spent as much time as I needed discussing the best route to take to the Appian Way, which was my primary destination. I rode for about 2 hours and my experience went perfectly; the bike functioned perfectly, the lock too (I made a stop at the post office and a veggie/fruit stand). If you ride on the Appian Way, be prepared for the ancient stone-paved surface, especially the areas paved with large, irregular stones! I definitely recommend a mountain bike, not a city bike on the Appian Way. Actually it was pretty much a bumpy ride almost everywhere, which was not a problem, just something to be prepared for.

Had a great experience. I rented a bike for about 3 days so I could use it wherever I wanted during my visit. I opted for a touring bike. The bike I got was in perfect condition. I also received a helmet, a lock, a front mounted bag and a repair kit (pump, inner tube and levers). I was sent gpx files of their tours by email. I did the Appian way tour and it was beautiful The staff was super friendly, professional and helpful. Highly recommended if you want to rent a bike and tour the city.

We rented the Cannondale city e-bikes for 1 day to go along the Appian way and see the aqueducts on the way back - had plenty of battery and the bikes were great! Would highly recommend!

Rome has a lot of hills. The e-bikes were more than capable of handling them. We were able to move quickly around to the attractions we wanted to see. Would rate this a 5/5

We had an excellent experience with our rentals. We rented 4 adult size e-bikes for the day and had a great time. Great location (a few minutes walk from Colosseum or Metro station) and the staff was wonderful.

We rented e-bikes very last minute and did our own tour to the aqueduct park on Appia Antica. They gave us a map and some verbal instructions. It was a great adventure. It was so scenic and historic. We even got stuck in sheep/goat traffic.

I rented a hardtail e-bike. Battery allowed me to travel to the sea along Tiber (Tevere) river and back. The service was helpful with suggesting the trail, gave me entire tyre repair kit. They speak good English. I rented also a mobile phone holder. It's a pretty standard one but I would appreciate sth less wobbly and not covering parts of the mobile screen.

This was an exceptional experience. We biked 28 km through the outskirts of Rome, we were with a small group so we had the luck to picnic at the aquaduct. Our tour guide Carmen was the best! She explained everything really well and was very nice. We very much recommended!!

I rented 2 bikes from TopBike Rental for 2 weeks in Rome and the experience was nothing short of A+ amazing. The bikes and gear were fantastic, the staff was very friendly and very responsive by email/whatsapp/call. I had a couple of mechanical issues (not due to TopBike's fault) and TopBike called a local Italian bike shop for me to see if I could get a fix outside of Rome and coordinated with me to swap gear. Pleasant staff very helpful. They gave us tips and advice about where to go on the Appian way and instructed us on operating the eBikes. Very good set up and just about 3 mins walk from the colosseum. The bike felt nearly new and LOADS of battery range for a very hilly day out.

The E-MTBs are top notch: shiny red with precise gear-shifters and an engine working like a spell. When it's 37 degrees centigrade outside and you can't stay away from bikes, this is what you should go for. Fully recommended!

For me, it has been an extraordinary experience. I never would have thought to know Rome in this way, so calm and confident, safe in every sense, and visiting places I never would have thought I could reach. I can only recommend the experience. The staff was very professional and attentive, and I chose the best possible route, without a doubt. I would repeat it at any time.

We wanted to discover the Via Appia Antica, but not on foot, so we chose the bike. We arrived at the rental office unannounced, but that turned out to be no problem: bikes enough, of all shapes and sizes. We chose the mountain bike (Cannondale), which turned out to be good for this kind of work. You get a lock on loan, and if desired a helmet. The price was a bit too high: 35 EUR for a day for a non-electric bicycle, and a (non-mandatory) insurance of 5 EUR on top of that. You can download an app at the start, which indicates the route. Easy. Easy. Administration and return turned out to be a breeze. All in all a positive experience.

An extra welcome by the young person who spoke perfectly French. Very good quality bicycles. A beautiful walk in Rome by paths off trails.
