Our guide was very good! She had a lot of knowledge and knew right where to go and where to stand. She clearly explained what we saw and tied it wonderfully into Roman history.

Reviews
Our tour guide was wonderful and gave us the historical context of what we were seeing as we passed through the Vatican. We also were given details and interesting facts about Michelangelo and what to look for in the Sistine chapel and in the Raphael room. I highly recommend doing a tour because the skip the line entrance was crowded and extremely long (October) and they let that line in first. All others had to wait. Very crowded and stuffy so be prepared for the crowds and bring water.
I have a walking disability and almost opted for a wheelchair which would have rendered me unable to see the Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s Basilica. The tour company talked me into skipping the wheelchair and I’m glad I did. Our guide, Doriana, was patient and super informative and new all the shortcuts, elevators and places to sit which helped immensely. My daughter and I both loved our afternoon with her. We learned so many things that our heads are spinning…in a good way. Grazie Doriana
This day was most enjoyable. Our guide was attentive and informative. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting a private tour of the vatican.
Alex was incredible. Super friendly. Intimately knowledgeable about history, art, and Roman culture. He was born and raised locally, was very nice, genuinely interested in the content and was quite funny. He had a constant stream of corny dad jokes which gave the whole tour a light and friendly feel. I would definitely recommend a tour with him anywhere in/around Rome.
Roberta was absolutely exceptional. From start to finish, the entire process felt easy, smooth, and reassuring. She immediately set everyone at ease—warm, funny, and engaging—while guiding us through what could otherwise feel overwhelming given the sheer scale of the Vatican. What stood out most was her passion and depth of knowledge. You could tell she’s led this tour many times, yet she delivered it with genuine enthusiasm, as if it were new and meaningful each time. Even more impressive, she made a large group feel personal. She took time to acknowledge each individual, answered questions thoughtfully, and spoke in a way that felt directed to you, not just at a crowd. There is an incredible amount to see and absorb, and Roberta handled it with grace and respect—especially when it came to the Sistine Chapel. She was very clear about the importance of silence and reverence there, and we were fully prepared to honor that. Unfortunately, once inside, many visitors ignored those expectations—talking loudly and even dancing—which felt deeply disrespectful. That said, this was absolutely not a reflection on Roberta. In fact, her commitment to honoring the space and the rules only made me appreciate her more. Skipping the line alone was worth it. Even in the middle of winter, the crowds were intense—likely due to the Jubilee year—but we moved through security quickly and seamlessly. The experience was well worth the money and truly elevated our visit. I would wholeheartedly recommend Roberta to anyone visiting the Vatican. She made it memorable, meaningful, and genuinely special.
Very good With Marta. She make an excelent work explaining the Vatican tour in spanish language. Take care of all group of 16 persons. Nobody get lost.
Our guide Franco tailored this tour to our interests. Extremely knowledgeable about the Vatican and a great communicator. The personal attention made this worth the cost. Unbelievable experience!!!!
A must see if you’re in Rome. The fact it was a private tour made the tour more customized and informative. Roberto was a fantastic guide.
Amazing! Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and listened to exactly what we wanted. Would 100% recommend!
What can we say but the Private Tour was fabulous! Susana was so knowledgeable about everything. Took her time with us. Answered every question we had. Quaint and cozy and we were able to everything at our own pace!
This was well organised. Had a fantastic and knowledgeable tour guide. Would highly recommend this company and guide (my guide was Raphaela)
We are so grateful to Elina for being so accommodating with out baby. We were late for the tour but she did an amazing job thanks elina
Marta was our private tour guide for our Vatican experience. She was wonderful! So knowledgeable. She was able to talk about the history and importance of the paintings which made our tour so memorable. We would highly recommend her to everyone. Sincerely Joann and Lonnie
When I saw reviews for this company, I was impressed how authentic and vibrant they were. Now I understand, what an absolute amazing decision it was to choose them! Jad is the best guide you ever need 🤗
Our guide Jad was very helpful. We skipped the line and were in early with the first tour. Lots to see but he helped us notice the most important sights and explained them beautifully.
Was a lot to see and a bit overwhelming with the crowds. Had a private tour which was expensive, but worth skipping the long lines to get in. The statutes, paintings, mosaics were massive. To think of how long it took Micheal DeAngelo to make the creations is mind blowing. Lots of history to research and learn.
The locations were absolutely stunning and breathtaking, but our guide - Susana ruined it for us. As christians, the experience was very important for us - visiting St. Peter and seeing the Sistine Chapel was something wonderful and with deep meaning, but Susana displayed very strongly her negative opinions regarding the Church and christianity. It is not okay. A guide should always be professional and at least neutral. Come on - you present information about the VATICAN!!! Go be a guide at Colosseum or somewhere else if you cannot act in an appropriate manner. We are lucky that we already knew the correct information because we are catholics, but for those who came into contact with the Catholic world through the view of Susana she really painted a false and highly negative picture. That’s such a bummer. She minimised and spoiled everything - worst guided experience ever so far. The Vatican should know what kind of uninformed and unprofessional people presents their locations. She offended the Church and the believers, multiple times. She even presented something specific of how catholics do their religion and I told her it was not true the information because we are catholics and she denied it. Such a waste of money and a killer of good vibes.
Jad was remarkable, and this tour was money well spent! He told us so many details that we would have missed otherwise. There was never a question that he didn’t have the answer to it. It was so nice to pass all the lines too. We would have been standing in line longer than this tour. I would highly recommend. Thank you Jad for being so great and kind to my family.
We were running late, Jonathan helped us get into the Vatican! He was AMAZING and incredibly efficient. Incredible customer service and a lovely person Thank you Jonathan! The best!!
Awesome guide! Third trip for me first for my son. I learned more on this tour than anytime before! Simona was amazing, detailed and charming.
Very nice tour and I would recommend. Our guide was a former professor of architecture and very informative. In a 3 hour tour you obviously cannot stop to talk about everything. She did a good job of showing us the most significant ones and explaining others as we walked by. St Peters Basilica had some renovation work going on during our visit so some things we could not see. Nothing the tour guide can do about that.
Fred gave us a wonderful audio tour of the Vatican museum; explanation of the Sistine Chapel with time to view on our own; and then audio tour of St Peter's Basilica. We skipped the line as indicated and Eternal Rome Tours made it so easy. It was worth every euro. So happy I did this as we had teenagers of various ages and this walking tour was enough to do without waiting in line.
Good comments, a bit fast but there is a lot to see.
Very interesting visit, very well documented pleasantly, thank youJonathan you are at the top!!!!! We loved your humor
Jad and his knowledge of the subject (a little) made us forget about the overcrowding which unfortunately does not allow us to hope for a better quality visit despite his talent and patience. Thank you, Jad!
Come for a tour of Rome and a rugby match. We were a group of 20 people. Jade is very nice. Full tour of the Vatican with sufficient explanation and humor. Group photos taken throughout the visit Thank you for visiting the Vatican.
Susana did a very good job of explaining everything. She's taken extra time for everything. Great job. Good luck with your further career Susana
