Francesco was amazing! We feel so thankful our family could experience the Vatican with him as our guide! The team in general was excellent with communication and we were able to truly enjoy our day!

Alessandra was an excellent guide, grew up in Rome, specialized in art history. She was able to answer all of our questions thoroughly. We had two kids 14 and 11 years old and she kept them engaged with visuals and games. She was very accommodating to the adults and kids. We very much enjoyed our tours.
Claudia was amazing. She was prepared and came with a scavenger hunt and candy! Our kids loved the tour and were engaged throughout. It was also a great experience for the adults. 100% recommended to anyone looking for a private Vatican tour.
We did three tours with Alessandra, our tour guide, and I cannot recommend all of them enough!! The Vatican tour was very impressive, and again, both adults and kids learned so much while having fun and gathering points during the games we played. Alessandra is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about sharing what she knows.
We had such a great experience on our Private Vatican & Sistine Chapel Tour for Kids & Families with Claudia. She was so nice, kind, and patient with our children, making the visit fun and engaging for everyone. Her explanations were easy to follow and full of interesting details, and she gave the tour a truly personal touch. We all had a wonderful time and would highly recommend Claudia to any family visiting the Vatican!
We did both the Vatican and Colosseum tour with our 5 and 7 year old. Sara and Julia were both so awesome. They really brought these historic marvels to light and engaged the kids in such a great way. I would 100% recommend doing if you are planning a trip to Rome, it makes these places with such deep and fascinating history come to light and the tour guides are incredibly knowledgeable while also being great with kids.
Claudia our lovely guide was fantastic. Born and bred in Rome. She gave as much information as she can in such a short time we were there. Our kids loved the time when they were there. It was just the right amount of time. When we go back to Rome, no hesitation to use the service again. Thank you Claudia and Elisa for organising the tour.
I really enjoyed the tour and my kids were very involved and enjoyed it as well. My only concern is that the listing says the tour was 3 hours long and it was only 2 hours, for the price I would have expected the entire 3 hours.
This tour was perfect for our kids! It was fun and engaging, plus you skip the long lines that for us was a must! The guide was very patient and knowledgable. We will book another tour with them once we come back to Rome , our kids still talk about Claudia.
Our tour guide was absolutely incredible. Kids were engaged and excited and learned so much. This was truly an unforgettable experience.
We booked the private Vatican tour for our family of 8 (5 adults and 3 kids under 7). Valeria was fantastic! She made sure to include the kids so they enjoyed the tour as much as the adults. We stayed on schedule and were able to skip several lines. She even took us to see the carriages / vehicles that the Pope rode in over the years. This was a hit with the kids. Valeria was great with them. It was hot and she made sure we were able to get water for the kids and stop for a short break. I definitely recommend Valeria and this tour company!
Another amazing tour wit Rome tours with Kids. This is the 3rd time we use them while in Italy with my family and we are in love. The guide was great, despite the heat and crowds , we skipped the lines and explore the museums. The Sistine Chapel was just WOW. I cannot imagine going to the Vatican without a guide. 100% worth the money spent
We were looking specifically for a Vatican tour to do with our two kids ages 13 and 10 and keep them interested and engaged during a 3-hour tour. We paid a premium to specifically have a guide with games and activities for the kids (as they have advertised). He was a nice and polite tour guide but there were no games or activities to engage our kids during the tour. Also, our tour guide ended the tour abruptly at 10:30am. I had to tell him our tour was 9am-12pm and show him on Viator site what we signed up, for but he said we were done. This was our very first day in Rome and Viator tour experience and we definitely paid way too much for just over an hour tour.
Rossella took our family through the wonders of the Vatican museum. She engaged the four young children in our group with tales of Greek and Roman myths and their connections to the art and architecture of this amazing place. Her warmth and ability to connect with the kids was exceptional. She made the Vatican come alive and kept the group's interest throughout the whole tour. Everyone loved her. Families, take this tour!
Sarah is such a great tour guide. She is very patient with my 6-yr old kid and made her engaged and excited throughout the whole 2.5 hour tour. She is very knowledgeable and always willing to answer our questions. We would definitely come back to Sarah for all our future activities in Rome!!!
St Peter’s basilica! The statues and the hallway of tapestries were our favorites. Great guide who knew what she was doing. Doing the Vatican on your own would be a nightmare.
Hands down, must do experience if you have little ones in your family! This was our second experience with a kid focused guide from Rome tours with kids and we are completely blown away with our experience. Our entire family got more out of it than we ever could have imagined! Julia, our guide, is incredibly knowledgeable and kept us captivated throughout the entire experience. I really can't imagine doing it without her! Our son is 7 and he LOVED it! Well worth it.
We were able to see so much of the Vatican and our guide kept our kids interested the entire way. Really an amazing tour.
Our guide was Julia, a very knowledgeable and charming guide who captured our attention by asking us questions and making us think. Excellent!
Amazing tour of the Vatican and also Colosseum and Forum with Alessandra. She was excellent at engaging with our two boys who thoroughly enjoyed the tours. I would recommend a guided private tour for both the Vatican and Colosseum with Rome tours with kids.
Our tour guide Donato was a joy. Animated, excited, and knowledgeable, he made 3 hours fly buy and kept our children engaged and learning the whole time. I o Lu wish someone had told us not to book on a Wednesday morning since that is then the Pope makes public appearance and so the Basilica is closed.
We booked two tours with Rome tours with kids and both were amazing! The Coliseum and Roman Forum tour was guided by Maria an archeologist by trade who had an unending knowledge of ancient Rome. She also has a young daughter and totally understood when my 6-year-old started to get a bit tired and cranky. The next day we toured the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and St.Peter's Basilica with Claudia. Her knowledge of the art collection and history of the Vatican were deep and she navigated us through the unbelievable crowds with ease. Both guides made the tours fun for my children who are ages 13 & 6 and for my husband and me too. Rome tours with kids is a must if you're traveling to Rome with children and want to see the sights! I highly recommend and will use them again.
The Vatican can be overwhelming for the kids but with these tour, we had the best time. Francesco is an excellent guide, 100% recommended.
What a experience! Simone was absolutely fabulous! I would highly recommend this your. We had 2 children with us and she kept them very entertained during the whole tour.
We loved our tour of Vatican City! Our tour guide, Simona, was very knowledgeable and my kids adored her.
We had a wonderful tour at the Vatican with Simone who made the museums and historical facts very interesting for the entire family!
We were four adults and three children (ages 11, 11, and 9) receiving this tour from Donato. He could not have been a better tour guide. We spent two weeks in Italy and Donato was the favorite guide out of five different ones. He always made sure the kids understood what he was talking about and gave them little challenges along the way. He even had a trinket for them at the end of the tour. The kids will remember this always! He made it interesting for the adults too and we plan to request him again when we return to Italy with friends in 2023.
This has been my 3 time using Rome Tour With Kids. 2 of the times I did not have any kids, it was all adults. I always request Tomasso or Francesco. They are both wonderful guides, very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour group. I have done the Vatican, the City walk, Forum and the Coliseum.
Our private tour was with Alessandra who gave us a fantastic tour of the vatican museum and sistine chapel. She did a great job of keeping the kids interested and engaged, and we (parents) also learned a ton along the way. Would highly recommend this tour for families with kids of any age.
What a great tour! Being able to have a private tour Vatican City, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica was fantastic, and our guide, Simona, made it truly memorable! She is very knowledgeable, patient, and kind, and kept our 10-year old son engaged throughout the tour. When she noticed his attention was starting to wander (as kids are known to do), she quickly regained his attention and interest. He was especially excited to win the game and receive a prize - a wooden crucifix that he still wears! The beauty and history of Vatican City is unbelievable and is a must see. Thank you Simona - we had a wonderful time! We highly recommend this tour!
My family and I enjoyed our tour of the Vatican immensely. We had asked for the tour to also show us Raffael’s rooms which the tour company accommodated at no extra cost even though it added thirty minutes to the tour. Simona, our tour guide, waited for us ahead of the tour start time and picked us up on the stairs outside the Vatican museum. She guided us through Raffael’s rooms, the Sistine Chapel and finished the tour at the St Peter’s Basilica. Through the tour, she kept my wife, my children and I engaged by playing a game that involved listening to her and observing to find the objects that she wanted us to spot. This kept my son of 13 and daughter of 15 alert through the tour. Simona is an excellent tour guide - patient, observant, knowledgeable and a great listener. She also mediated a kerfuffle that broke out between my children by saying that they were not gladiators and this is not the Colosseum tour! I would particularly like to commend Simona on going out of her way to help me with numerous things after the tour. 1. We needed to get to Roma Termini station quite quickly after the tour to get to a Rome suburb. She called us a taxi, waited for us until it arrived and ensured that we got into it. She then checked with me via WhatsApp whether I got to catch the train on time. 2. I was keen on attending the Pope’s general audience on Wednesday, the day following the tour. Simona guided me step by step as the instructions on the Vatican website are not always clear on whether one needs to purchase tickets in advance for the audience. She spoke to the Swiss guards and found out exactly where I needed to queue from and sent me the exact location on Google Maps. When I got confused the next morning at around 630 am, she even took a call from me at that hour to say that I should go and join the line at the location she mentioned and not go to the Vatican Museum entrance that I had gone to, the previous day. Thanks to her guidance, I was able to go to the right location on time and watch the Pope’s audience from the third row. 3. Simona told me about the location of Scala Santa the twenty stairs trod by Jesus Christ when he was crucified in Jerusalem. These are now in Rome as it was transported by Helen around three hundred years after Christ. 4. She found out where I could visit a monastery with nuns in the centre of Rome as I was keen to show my children how nuns lived. Simona did not have to do any of these four points and would have well been within her right to say that these were outside her remit or scope of the original tour. The fact that she did makes her an outstanding tour guide and the best that I have come across. It is a shame that she specialises only in tours for kids as I would recommend her for any tour - adults or adults and kids. Thanks to Simona for making our tour to the Vatican and to Rome special and one to remember.
Highly recommended tour for young and teenage kids (13, 10), the tour was excellent, from the start, we request for pick up, we were picked up in "STYLE", upon arrival it was so smooth, we had Azzurra from Livtour she was fantastic, beside her knowledgable of the Vantican, she was funny, interactive with kids, asking questions making sure they are on their toes, it was not boring for the kids. Azzurra went out her way making sure we had the best experience and everything was smooth, no need to wait for anything. This tour is highly recommended for Teenagers not just for small kids. It was absolute treat for us! Thank you. P.S. don't forget to add Stairs as an extra.
Maria was an outstanding tour guide! She really made the Vatican come to life for our three young children. She was engaging, incredibly knowledgeable, and patient, bringing pictures and games that kept their attention and taught them so much about the history of this place. I can’t recommend this tour enough!
We had a fantastic private tour of the Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel. Our tour guide, Marco, kept the kids engaged and interested throughout the afternoon and made sure that they learned a lot while having fun. The kids had a great time, and we look forward to going back! Grazie mille!
Had the tour with Maria Claudia. The car picked us up at our hotel in time, then we met up with our guide. Got into the Vatican with no time. Was able to see the major highlights in Vatican with our 3 young children, and Maria was able to engage them the whole time. They were very excited about the competition between kids vs parents, so despite still having some jet lag as it was our second day in Rome, they learned quiet a lot and still remembered some facts from the tour after it ended. We also got to see the Sistine Chapel, but due to Covid didn’t get to see St. Peter’s Basilica due to the walkway between the 2 places being blocked off.
I highly recommend this tour! Our guide, Maria, was absolutely amazing. She was incredibly knowledgeable and extremely kind and patient with our children (ages 7, 5 and 3). She played games, did scavenger hunts and showed lots of pictures to make sure the kids stayed engaged throughout the tour. We all learned a lot from Maria, as her knowledge is limitless! We would absolutely take this tour again next time we're in Rome!
Very nice tour, Simona kept our kids interested and engaged. Highly recommend if you are in Rome with smaller kids. Ours were 9, 7, and 6 and are still talking about things they learned during the tour.
We wanted our kids 5,8,10 to be able to appreciate these wonders so we booked a private tour to with a child friendly Company to maximise the chances of keeping the kids engaged for the whole time. Alex did a great job and managed to keep the kids interested for over 3 hours and they learnt a lot along the way. The key is for the guide to speak directly to the children and ask lots of questions, like in School. Otherwise they just tune out after a few minutes. Us adults could of course also slot in the odd question along the way so that we also got the benefit of the tour. All in all I would highly recommend this company and I would say if you have small kids, either do the tour this way, or don’t do it at all. But if you don’t, what was the point of coming?? ;)
My 9 year old son and I had such an amazing time with Simona last week touring the Vatican, St. Peter’s basilica and the Sistine Chapel. Just being able to bypass the huge line (on a Monday morning at 9 am) was worth every penny and we felt like VIPs the entire way. Simona engaged my son throughout the duration of the tour even though he arrived extremely tired. She had a very positive energy, was extremely patient, and was happy to take breaks when my son required one. I personally enjoyed this child friendly version of the Vatican more than I did during my adult tour last time I was in Rome. Especially being able to see it from my son’s eyes. Side note, my son is very sporty and not into museums very much however Simona was able to motivate him to pay attention to find the “treasure” at the end of our morning. She was also very kind to recommend a wonderful restaurant for our lunch post tour and also helped us locate more reasonably priced souvenirs outside of St. Peter’s square. Thanks again Simona for a great time!
Our tour guide, Alex was excellent. She had so much knowledge about the Vatican and history of Rome but delivered it in a way that engaged our 4 boys (aged 12 to 6 years) and made it lots of fun along the way with interactive games and activities. Thank you so much - well worth it!!
This is the best way to tour the Vatican museums with kids. Our tour guide, Donato was brilliant. He guided us to all the key and most interesting areas of the museums and St Peter’s Basilica. We learnt so much from him. I can not recommend this tour and this tour company enough.
Marco was fantastic with my teenagers and my 7 year old. I would highly recommend him and the company.
We did the Vatican Tour with Marco and it was excellent. My boys ( 11 and 8) loved it! It was really informative for kids and adults! The tour is really engaging and interactive. Marco is really good with kids. It seems a lot of money but worth every penny.
We had an amazing and wonderful experience with our knowlegable tour guide. It was hassle free and the girls were engaged. We learnt so much and appreciated the Sistine Chapel and the messages behind the art work We would highly recommend parents with young children for this.
I highly recommend the Vatican tour with this company. Our children typically get bored on tours and it ends up being more work than fun. However, Marco held their attention and made the entire tour interesting and fun for them. It was informative even for us as the parents!
Great responsiveness, fantastic tour, 5 stars all the way around. Visiting in November was a good choice for us as the crowds were very small. We were lucky to have Donato for both the Colosseum the day before and the Vatican. He was the absolute best and could not have been any better with our 7 and 11 year old boys. No corner was left unvisited, no question left unanswered. Recommend without hesitation.
We toured the Vatican with Alessandra with our three children ages 4, 11 and 13. It was a smooth process from start to finish. Alessandra was fantastic with engaging all three children, as well as, making it interesting for my husband and I. She was very knowledgeable and able to answer all of our questions. Our 13 year old loves hearing about history and interesting facts, while our 11 year old prefers hands on experiences. Alessandra played a game with the children that made it fun and interesting for all three. I would especially recommend a personal tour for families with younger kids. Alessandra was warm, patient and friendly, and we could take our time moving from place to place based on our interests and the needs of our children. For instance, after days of touring Rome, our 11 year old was very tired during the tour. When we entered the very crowded Sistine Chapel, Alessandra went out of her way to find a spot for our daughter to sit and rest. She really cared for the children along the way. And we could the skip lines which is a huge advantage when touring with children. I highly recommend Rome Tours with Kids and Alessandra!
We had a great family tour with Alessandra, The kids loved her, she was very informative, helpful, and great with kids! They weren't bored at all.
We had such a great tour with Donato. He was brilliant at engaging the kids- girls 11 and 13 - as well as us. He kept them interested for 3 hours, getting them to look for things and telling them about the history in away they could understand and engage with and with such enthusiasm. Another benefit was being able to jump the queues which is always a plus with children! But Donato was the biggest selling point. It really is worth the money.
Travelling with young children can be a terrifying experience especially when it comes to tourist attractions that involve a lot of walking and stopping. So obviously I was extremely nervous. I’ve wanted to visit Vatican City for as long as I can remember so I really wanted the tour to go well. For this reason we opted for a private tour. From the moment we met Alessandra outside the museum she had the attention of all three of my children including my very reluctant and often reserved 4 year old. She made everything into this wonderful experience from waiting in the queue for security checks to entering Vatican City itself. For the children every step became magical. For me, I couldn’t have asked for a better guide than Alessandra. She had a wealth of information her knowledge was truly amazing! She was able to answer every single question the children had for her and the ones I had too! She engaged the children with ‘treasure hunts’ and got them interested in our beautiful surroundings. They were in awe of everything. Her bright and bubbly personality made the children warm to her so quickly! My 4 year old can be a huge challenge but Alessandra took everything in her stride putting us all at ease. Honestly I can say that my tour of the Vatican, Sistine Chapel and the Basilica were by far the best experience I’ve had of any tour. I would go as far as to say it was my overall favourite day in Rome. If you have small children or even teenagers I would highly recommend a private tour. If you want the best memories I couldn’t recommend Alessandra more.
