Driver was very unsociable. Felt like he wasn't happy to be there at that time. Never introduced himself. Looked at speedometer when on Roadway to Airport. He was doing 157 kph Couldn't wait to get bags out of car and get back in and go.go go!!!!

He did not show up we waited in the correct area looking for our name card even kept watching at front departure area he was not there he said he showed up at 7 in front of departure doors that is a lie they have to park at the back of the ship in a special area and walk around to meet us he was nowhere to be found

We were told on the ship that the travel time to the airport was approximately one hour. We got there in 43 minutes. Our driver was passing cars like they were standing still. Couldn’t see the dashboard to see how fast he was going, but I know no one passed us.

I had an 8AM pickup time. I messaged the driver and didn’t hear back from him. I had to find other transportation to the airport and almost missed my flight.
We were picked up at the cruise ship and taken to our hotel, an hour away. Driver (Francisco) was waiting for us and provided historical commentary on buildings and area we passed by/through. Extremely pleased with how easy this booking went.

Horrible communication. Originally told us they would pick us up at 11:30am when our scheduled time that we paid for was 11am. 11:30am came and went and they never arrived. At 11:45am we had to look for another way to get to the airport because they never arrived.
We have used Viator for 15 years all over the world with outstanding results every time till yesterday. We booked a driver to take us from the port in Civitavecchia, Italy to the airport in Rome. The driver was not there at the assigned time. After waiting 15 minutes I was in the process of texting Viator to let them know we were going to take a taxi since we could not wait any longer when the driver showed up without even apologizing. Travel is stressful at the best of times and with an 18 hour travel day ahead of us, we were relying on the Viator driver to be there at the time we booked. We will continue to book Viator for excursions but not for transfer.
Not great 🫤 Our driver arrived one hour(1) and ten minutes late. We called Viator and they could not reach them we also tried numerous times with no success. We were desperately looking for a taxi when we saw him with a crumpled piece of paper barely legible. No apology just said too much traffic. Our pick up was at 8 and we arrived at 7:30. There were numerous other drivers that arrived on time. He then drove at a very high speed scary at times. Not a good experience. It’s been 3 days now and still no apology from company. We made our flight but it was close.
Our driver was right on time and waiting for us at the ship terminal. She was very polite, friendly and knowledgeable. The car was very clean and nice. The tour hit all the high points in Rome in a short amount of time. She knew exactly where to park for a short walk to each attraction. The down side for us and only reason I did not give 5 stars is her accent was quite thick and we had a very hard time understanding her English. We missed out on much of what she was explaining to us, as we could not understand.
Arrived early and dropped us at the door of the airline! Great! Had more than enough time to check in comfortably.

Booked Romaetravel through Viator and they were a NO SHOW. I made several attempts to confirm our booking (which they did), even confirming the day prior that they would be there to pick us up. Booked transportation from Civitavecchia Port to Rome (with Tour included) for 6 passengers and they cancelled 30 minutes before they were to pick us up. We were waiting outside for them already. There were no Taxi's available and we had to share transportation to Rome (90 min trip) with another group. Unfortunately, we had tickets for (6) to the Vatican and missed our time slot and were not able to go due to them not showing up. I wish I had read the amount of "terrible" reviews they have received for doing the exact same thing. Hugely unprofessional and my guess is they will not be in business much longer for how they handle working with others.

The Transfer was fine. Driver a little erratic with driving. But got there within 1 hour with incident.

Lovely driver. Wish our drive had told us where the American Airline desk was. We had never been to The Rome airport Very busy and confusing airport for us.
My 2 previous experiences were good. The last left a little to be desired. The driver was not prepared for 7 passengers with luggage returning from a cruise. That meant at minimum 7 suitcases to be stored in car. We had to get the assistance of a porter that we had already tipped to take the cart and suitcases to the car and load them.
Was on time and had a sign so driver was easy to find. Quick, professional and excellent drive. Would use again.
After finding out that all our carefully made plans to have ample time to get from Civitavecchia to FCO fell through, I turned to Viator to get us from the port to the airport. As soon as we disembarked, we saw our driver. He helped us with our luggage and spirited us away in a clean, well kept Mercedes Benz van. Although we were not proficient in each other's languages, we were able to communicate easily. We arrived at FCO in plenty of time to make our flight. A wonderful experience from start to finish. I would highly recommend Viator for any transportation needs.

I would not recommend this company to arrange pick up at a cruise terminal. They never showed, we had to arrange a taxi which was much more expensive. Via tour did not have their driver there as promised. And they did not communicate with me in a timely fashion.

Driver was waiting outside the cruise terminal. Our group of four walked off ship with 9 bags of luggage. The driver was helpful with the luggage and he got us to the airport quickly with plenty of time to spare.

Booking the transfer was very straightforward. There was no problem changing the booking two days before the pickup. E mails were replied to very quickly. The price was competitive. The driver was early for the pick up and was very polite. The transport was larger than needed and well maintained. Pickup up was at the ship. We arrived at the airport early and the driver dropped us at one terminal and our friends at another. We didn’t opt for an optional tour, due to time constraints. Overall I would definitely use Romaetravel again.
