Don't bother with the guide. He never showed up. Enjoy the museum on your own. The collection is amazing.

The visit was fantastic and we LOVED it. We were a group of four friends travelling to Rome for work but we took some extra time to get to know Rome better. Vincenzo was highly knowlegeable and very didactic, fun, super engaged. It lasted 4 hours because we visited both the Museo Nazionale (Palazzo Massimo) and the Dioclecian Terme, but time passed so quickly! We were amazed at Vincenzo's energy and enthusiasm, which was contageous! We all agree that doing these tours is a way to learn much more and it helps with all the other individual visits, since you pay attention to things that you did not know before. We are so happy to have taken this tour. When we come back to Rome, we will certainly try to book another tour with Vincenzo.
Guide was phenomenal—so knowledgeable, passionate, and engaging. Hewent above and beyond to make sure every detail was explained in a way that made sense and kept us captivated throughout the tour. It was clear he had a deep understanding of the museum’s pieces, and his enthusiasm was infectious. I left feeling inspired and learned so much more than I expected. Highly recommend both the museum and the guided tour—it made all the difference!
We took a 4-hour private guided tour of the National Roman Museum and the Baths of Diocletian. Martina, our guide, was exceptional. For me, who has a greater background in history, but also for my companion, who does not have a deep knowledge of the subject. She was able to contextualize and give very interesting details, we went through the main works and lesser-known works but with very interesting details. It exceeded our expectations and I highly recommend Martina as a guide.
This tour was the highlight of our trip to Rome! The Palazzo Massimo is undergoing an external renovation but do not be put off. Vincenzo, out tour guide was lively, engaging and entertaining as well as providing an essential historical view of the many sculptures and paintings stored in the Palazzo Massimo. You really need to have a live guide to these museums as full of artifacts which cannot tell their own story as a live guide can. Thank you, Vincenzo for an informative but fun afternoon in Rome.
We laughed and we cried. Vincenzo made us relive the joys and the issues of the Ancient Rome. Unbelievable experience, I think revert one should try it at least once.
Vincenzo was super efficient, he managed to keep 10 forty-year-old guys glued without ever having boring moments. An art entertainer. Between anecdotes and curiosities, he managed to guide us like a school group on their first field trip. Highly recommended, and until the next trip☺️, obviously always with Vincenzo 💪.
Unforgettable experience. Vincenzo is not simply a guide but an expert and capable professional who knows how to charm and captivate, leaving you speechless. Experience to be repeated for sure.
We visited this museum as a family and it was a captivating experience. Thanks to our guide, the tour literally transformed into a journey through time: thanks to his extraordinary knowledge, we were captivated the entire time. He stimulated our curiosity, interacting with the whole group, and revealed new things and new perspectives on what we thought we already knew. I thank Vincenzo Spina, who expertly accompanied us, not only for his professionalism but also for the sensitivity with which he adapted the narration to his audience.
Whenever I can I take part in guided tours of Rome Guides because the great ability to narrate, the broad culture and the brilliant mode of Vincenzo guide makes every experience unique and fascinating. Even a museum like Palazzo Massimo, composed of classical and well-known works, becomes an opportunity for fun and learning that remains a beautiful memory. Really highly recommended.
Stracosiglio.. Absolutely to be repeated with other itineraries .. The skill, the ability to maintain the attention and kindness of Vincenzo... They helped make a visit to the beautiful museum an interesting and fun cultural experience! A real Cicero! 😊 Until next time
Vincenzo is a really amazing guide! He is very cultured and has a compelling storytelling, full of anecdotes and curiosities! You would listen to it for weeks without getting tired! He is very friendly and always smiling! One of the best guides I've ever met!!
Wonderful visit, excellent guide, every time Vincenzo surprises with his goodies and his anecdotes, straconsigliato!
Tour inside one of the museums that I consider jewels of Rome and that Vincenzo knows how to make you appreciate the most! His passion and experience are the keys that make us follow his tours with admiration! Thank you ❤️
Vincenzo is an exceptional guide! Very good, very prepared and very engaging. Palazzo Massimo to visit absolutely.
The history of Rome for the Romans is "house stuff", but with Vincenzo's stories, new details and anecdotes are discovered; but above all, we dwell on the artistic and sculptural impacts of the various historical moments of the Empire, noting peculiarities that in the past had escaped me. Congratulations for the visit always interactive and engaging.
On the occasion of a congress I took a group of international colleagues (Japanese and European) to Palazzo Massimo, a museum that I find beautiful and that I visited often (but never with a guide). I chose Vincenzo at random, I liked his answer to an exploratory email from me. Only now have I landed on this web page and discovered the unanimous praise that is paid here. I am glad that I was not influenced by the comments, and to be able to say in full autonomy that I fully endorse them. Vincenzo is very good, speaks very clear English, is engaging, nice, a great professional. A show in the show. My group was very uneven and not too art oriented (all computer engineers or electronics) but I assure you that Vincenzo managed to fascinate them all. Congratulations indeed!
Vincenzo Spina was an amazing travel companion to say the least, without whom the discovery of the museum wonders in the capital would not have been so full of colours, sounds and anecdotes. Highly recommended!
Vincenzo as usual impeccable, like other times. A museum that is not the most famous in Rome fascinated us. The "investigative games" to understand more about the funerary monuments, Castor and Pollux, the many notions and curiosities that not even the puzzle week. Just to give you an idea: three different people stopped us to ask for our guide's contact details, after listening to him for a minute or two.
The visit was organized down to the smallest detail, super competent and I must say with that touch of friendliness that you don't expect... recommended!
Group with charitable purposes discovering Rome with various tours proposed by Vincenzo Spina. He is always a reconfirmation, he enchants everyone with his skill, passion for history and professionalism. Thanks Vincenzo
Vincenzo is a great guide because he immerses you in stories of Roman history making you passionate. With him we went to visit Palazzo Massimo, it was a visit that lasted approximately 2 hours but the time seemed to fly by. I recommend everyone to have an experience with him, you won't regret it. Thanks again Vincenzo for the wonderful afternoon you let us spend
The visit to Palazzo Massimo with Vincenzo Spina was a truly extraordinary experience. Vincenzo is not only a true art expert but he is also an exceptional popularizer! I recommend it to everyone, it's a truly dream experience.
The visit with Vincenzo Spina is a real experience. We spent two hours with him at Palazzo Massimo (near Termini station in Rome) and he gave us a visit full of emotions. It seemed like no time had passed... Vincenzo has a unique ability to engage... from which all guides should learn! Trying to transmit knowledge, not by trivializing the knowledge possessed, but by making the information understandable even for lay people in archeology and art history (and an art historian is writing this review!). I wish Vincenzo enormous success as a tour guide and above all see you next time!
Vincenzo is the catalyst from a small group during the tour to become a large group. Prepared and captivating 😊
Vincenzo Spina an unforgettable guide! He thrilled us with his stories and the boys (10 and 12 years old) listened to him in sacred silence ;) Thank you!
Thanks to Rome Guides I was able to visit Palazzo Massimo, however, being from Rome and always living in the capital, this museum was unknown to me but thanks to the unfailing preparation and skill of Vincenzo who guided us to discover this museum, I was able to admire it and admire the his works inside (it is certainly a museum that should be more publicized). Vincenzo told us historical anecdotes with his engaging verve that always keeps your attention and really makes their visits (I have made others with the association) always the most beautiful, fun and engaging. I highly recommend them
The visit to Palazzo Massimo was beautiful and interesting. Vincenzo guided us through time with wisdom and sympathy. Congratulations!
In the company of a group I visited Palazzo Massimo. We were lucky enough to have been assigned a truly extraordinary guide, I took a leap back in time, each work had a story told with passion and method. At the end of the visit the group was no longer the initial one of 17 people, visitors were gradually added who enraptured by the stories of “our” guide, they swelled the group not at all concerned about the fact that Vincenzo had a private group in tow. I dare to call Vincenzo an Alessandro Barbero 2.0. Rita
Together with the friends of the EClub we had a wonderful trip to Imperial Rome with the wonderful guide of Vincenzo, who managed to involve us and make me know the National Roman Museum of Palazzo Massimo that to my ignorance, despite living in Rome, I did not know
Wonderful museum but above all the guide Vincenzo grande! In addition to beautifully illustrating the works his way of illustrating meant that none of the group (17 people) was distracted at all! Magnificent experience!!!!
Today I had the pleasure is lucky to be guided by Vincenzo in the visit to Palazzo Massimo: it was a fantastic experience! I had already been to this museum but to enter and listen to Vincenzo for two hours is a priceless experience that has no comparison. History, anecdotes, endless details, have acted as a corollary to a constant involvement of all of us completely captivated by Vincenzo's voice. Such is his passion and clarity that often the group has “expanded” of visitors in tow who are also captivated by his stories. Thanks Vincenzo.
It was undoubtedly a beautiful cultural walk, where statues, calendar monuments, sarcophagi and many other wonders, filled our cultural “backpack”, but to make these hours of visit to Palazzo Massimo extraordinarily engaging, it was our guide Vincenzo Spina who was able to transport us into history with his stories, his anecdotes, his “quizzes” and the constant combinations with our times. A “volcano” in continuous eruption to which no one could not get caught! Great job!!
Very pleasant surprise! I never imagined that inside an austere palace could hide a beautiful and brilliant museum. Extremely pleasant as our guide Vincenzo Spina led the visit enriching it with curiosity, anecdotes and theatricality unit to knowledge and expertise of the subject. Thanks Vincenzo see you soon for a next visit. The only drawback is the air conditioning, which I think was already necessary.
Beautiful palace and Vincenzo's joyful, engaging and professional narration immerses you for two hours in the history of Rome
What did I like the most? Everything: the statues, the mosaics, the boxer, but above all the guide who was exceptional, in addition to explaining in detail the historical route of the palace and the various pieces contained therein, was engaging making us take a real journey into history. I highly recommend this experience to everyone, both history lovers and neophytes because you will become history lovers.
A real SURPRISE! As a Roman I was unaware of the existence of this museum which, instead, thanks to Vincenzo’s advice and, above all, guidance, has proved to be a well of riches and surprises about the world of ancient Rome! Vincenzo has a really engaging way of telling the story and events, you see his deep knowledge and preparation, and time has flown by! I look forward to booking a new tour with them as soon as possible to discover other wonders narrated by them!
One of the fortunes of us Romans is to be able to be tourists in our city and continue to discover monuments, museums, squares and views that until just before were ignored. The greatest luck for us Romans is to be able to do it guided by Rome Guides and Vincenzo: an attentive, cultured, prepared guide, but most of all distinguished by his sympathy and originality with which he manages to make every experience he organizes ever trivial, managing to involve you and interest you and at the same time to make you escape from the daily routine for a few hours!
I didn't even know this museum existed. The guide, Vincenzo, was exceptional. There were also some kids, but Vincenzo kidnapped us with his preparation, but above all for his ability to always keep everyone's attention alive. I hope to return to Rome soon to be able to participate in other tours. It is not so much the places that excite us, but the ability of the guide to make us live an experience to remember and recommend. Thank you Vincenzo
Engaging visit with the tireless and passionate Vincenzo! He managed, as usual, to keep the attention of a nice group of 13-year-olds (and parents) high!
The visit to the National Roman Museum of Palazzo Massimo lasted two hours: after saying goodbye we retraced the rooms of the museum returning to admire the wonderful artifacts masterfully illustrated by Vincenzo. An exceptional guide: history, archaeology, art, legends and anecdotes make the works acquire the prominence they deserve and completely capture the visitor. Security rules guaranteed and carefully verified by museum staff.
The visit of Palazzo Massimo was presented in an excellent way, capturing the attention and making the works inside rich in artistic and historical splendor. It's unmissable!
The visit to the museum of Palazzo Massimo with our guide Vincenzo Spina was very interesting thanks to his excellent preparation and expertise. Vincenzo is able to make every tour an extremely pleasant and very engaging experience.
The visit was beautiful, two hours very intense. Vincenzo is a very knowledgeable guide and has introduced us to unexpected anecdotes about the works in the Museum. We hope to repeat with him other experiences. ,
The palace is absolutely worth a visit, it is so rich in artifacts that once is not enough. Vincenzo catapulted us into the past with a unique lightness and completeness. Visits with Rome Guides are always a certainty and guarantee of quality and professionalism.
Wonderful experience, as always. Now a certainty. Our guide Vincenzo Spina, enlightened and guided us in this walk, professional and passionate as always. Great attention is also paid to distancing and sanitizing the radiolines provided to us. We are already browsing the site looking for the next guided tour (DPCM permitting!)
Last night I took this guided tour of this building that until now I had only seen from the outside. With my visiting group, all armed with masks, audio guide and right distancing we enjoyed this wonderful museum with our guide Vincenzo, which is always a super guarantee....!!! Noemi
Seen with Rome Guides it is even more beautiful! Vincenzo is a perfect guide, both in organization and illustration.
Wonderful as ever! Vincenzo is fantastic in involving you and in this period it is even more appreciable the effort that Rome Guides makes to be able to organize fantastic visits, despite Covid restrictions.
It was not easy to make a museum of busts and statues accessible and yet it was so. So much culture with precious anecdotes to understand everything. Thanks to the guide for his skill
