If you want to see important highlights on Rome’s landmarks sights in a day, then this is your tour:). There is no way we could have done this on our own in one day, so we are appreciative to our tour guide, Ricardo, in achieving this feat. We also appreciate him asking us specifically what we were looking for in our tour experience. We were able to see the Roman forum, The Colliseum, Trevi fountain, Piazza Navona, Vatican City, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica. And we had some time for lunch! We loved our experience and would use them again for future tours, highly recommend! Mike and Kimi

Guia was lovely! So knowledgeable and friendly, a very authentic person who truly loved sharing Rome with us. Would highly recommend!
Guia was an exceptional guide. She was very knowledgeable, provided fascinating context and history to the incredible sites, set a great pace for our day, and answered all of our many questions. Thank you Guia for helping us further enjoy & appreciate the beautiful city & history of Rome!
This was a Big Day! We had a great time. We are a family of 4 with. Two of us are HUGE history buffs and 2 are so so. This was a fantastic trip through Rome with a guide who absolutely had a passion for the trip. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. What a day.
Guia was our guide and she did a wonderful job taking the time to point out and give background to all of the must sees in Rome. I highly recommend.
Our tour guide Felicia was very friendly and knowledgeable on our guided tour of Rome , we had a brilliant experience and she brought the history of Rome alive with the archeology of the colosseum and fortum . The second part of our trip was guided by Alessandra , we visited the holy part of Rome from Vatican museum to St Peter’s Basillica and sistene chapel , we skipped the queues with both guides . Alessandra was bright and fun with lots of history of the famous Michael angelo . We learned so much with Felicia and Alessandra today as we now head off to Florence with more history of the famous art work and architecture of Rome . Highly recommend this tour guide company . Grazie for an enjoyable day . Mark & Carla x
It’s highly informational and interesting but requires much walking so be prepared. Our guide Camilla did a fantastic job educating us about Rome in an informative and entertaining way. After 8 hours strolling around Rome and Vatican, we learned a new appreciation for ancient civilizations thanks to our guide.
After researching a lot, we settled on a private tour of Rome with Through Eternity Tours. It was very easy to do the booking online, and because it was a private tour we could customize it a bit to meet our needs. It was not inexpensive but well worth it to see what we could in a day without having to worry about transportation, tickets, etc. Our guide for the day was Serena, a delightful and very knowledgeable guide. She was friendly and informative, and patient with us Americans. The morning portion was a golf-cart tour with Lorenzo as our driver (he was fabulous- he knew all the streets of Rome and could get us around so easily, especially in a golf cart!) We drove around for a bit to see the sights, then went to the Forum for a great walking tour. Serena was friendly with all the ticket takers, and could get us in easily and quickly. We had lunch with her at a nearby restaurant, then she called a driver to take us to the Vatican Museums. Since we only had a few hours, she was able to pick out the best pieces/rooms to see and highlight. Because the Conclave was going on, we did not get to see St. Peter's Square or Basilica unfortunately. I would highly recommend this tour company, and request Serena for your guide!
Enrica spent the entire day with us. We avoided all lines (invaluable) and Enrica kept it relevant and fascinating, not only for us, but for our grade school son. She even played hopscotch with our son between monuments and exhibits. We clearly saw three times the number of important sites than if we had done it ourselves, and the extra cost of the private tour was worth every penny and more!!! She was a wealth of information, but not just minutiae, her stories and narrative brought a cohesive and memorable picture together in the clearest possible focus. My sincere advice, go with Through Eternity Tours and Enrica and with a private tour; when the cost is long since forgotten, our memory of an incomparable day in one of the world’s most important and historical cites lives on and on!!!
Gracelyn was one of the best guides we’ve ever had! So knowledgeable and engaging. It was the last day of our 14 day trip - we were tired, and weren’t sure how a 6+ hour walking tour would go…and it was one of the best days we’ve had! Each of us ranked the tour - and Gracelyn - as one of the best things we did in Italy. A tour through the Colosseum, a walk through the forum, the Pantheon, Trevoli Fountain, and Vatican Museum/Sistine Chapel. Plus a stop for lunch - and a stop for gelato. Fabulous day - and fabulous guide. When we are back in Rome we will definitely reconnect with Gracelyn and Through Eternity.
Julia was a wonderful guide. She was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the subject matter and what would be of the most interest to her group. The Vatican is a busy place and she managed the group very well.
Maria Letizia Bruschi was the kind of seasoned tour guide I was hoping to get for our private, just my wife and I, six hour + a break for lunch "Rome in a Day" tour. An art historian by training and a Roman by birth, Ms Bruschi's knowledge of ancient civilizations, important historical figures and events etc. runs wide and deep, and she had no trouble at all fielding my many questions while at the same time keeping us moving. Her obvious passion for her work was infectious and she had our rapt attention until the end.Another tour guide who we encountered along the way called her "the best", something that I was not surprised at all to hear. She even patiently helped me map out our next days sight seeing itinerary. Well connected with all the guards we encountered, Ms Bruschi got us right to the head of the line every time,A very satisfying experience!
This was definitely the best thing we did in Rome! Our guide, Thomas, was incredibly knowledgeable and fun to spend the day with. He did a perfect job of blending both the culture of the city and the history, and really made us feel immersed in Rome. He was passionate and insightful, and was able to go in depth with answers to every single question we could possibly have. It's a fantastic private tour, really spending the most time to see exactly what we wanted to and were most interested in.
This was an excellent full-day (9am/4pm) tour private guided tour. Great way to discover the city and see the highlights. It was a very hot day (90F) and so quite challenging for the kids, but having our private guide was a huge saver of time (skipping lines, taking shortcuts…) and energy. Maria Letizia was our guide for the day. She managed to engage our 9 and 12 year olds for much of the tour, booked a table at a nice quiet (and cool) restaurant and generally made our lives so much easier. She introduced major concepts of history, art history, architecture etc, very quickly without overloading us. Thank you!!!
Our tour guide, Eugenia D’Andrea, was exceptional. She tailored our experience to our needs. We would love to be able to take more tours in the future from her and Through Eternity Tours.
Guia Grandi was an exceptional and delightful tour guide. Our special tour through the Colosseum, Sistine Chapel, and meal in downtown Rome was phenomenal, to say the least. Guia was engaging and lovely, making our tour a high quality experience with a guide who felt like a longtime friend. I highly recommend her for anyone looking to secure a tour through Rome and its deep history.
We had a great time seeing the major sites in Rome. Maria Bruschi was our guide and was very knowledgeable. She also knew how to get around the crowds and help us make the most of our time.
Emma’s knowledge of the city and the events that took place in the history of Rome was robust. She had a lot of experience navigating the busy venues and got us through an aggressive list of sites in good fashion. My wife was in a knee brace and Emma was extremely accommodating in keeping the pace and difficulty of the tour bearable for her (she found elevators for her etc) We really enjoyed the tour. It was tiring but informative and fun.
Urburk, our tour leader, was very knowledgeable about Rome. We were able to skip the long lines and saved many hours. As a result, we were able to spend more time at all of the sights. Paying extra for getting on the arena floor of Colosseum was worth it. Urburk showed and explained to us the key features at each of the sights. Whirlwind tour but we only had a day in Rome. We’ll worth the cost.
I had an AMAZING 13-hour tour day with Through Eternity Tours! I emailed them in advance, and asked if it was possible to combine private multiple tours, as I only had one day in Rome and wanted to see as much as possible. I know they were concerned about the length of the day I had requested, but it was perfect! Their communication in advance back-and-forth, to make sure we combined all the best tours was wonderful. I had the most amazing guide Maria, who is a wealth of knowledge about Roman and art history. I also had a fantastic driver Claudio, who was with us all day to drive us from each attraction so we could maximize the number of places we could see in a day. They were both wonderful and were so accommodating about taking on such a long tour day! We started the day at the Trevi fountain before it got too crowded. Then we went to the catacombs for a fascinating tour of the underground labyrinth beneath the city. From the catacombs, we went to Case Romane and the Caelian hill to see a residence from the 2nd century AD. We then went to the Basilica of San Clemente, which was beautiful, and we toured the church that was beneath it. We had a quick lunch and from there we went to the Coliseum, for a fantastic tour that included the arena floor and the underground area, where you could see where the gladiators came from their training houses into the arena. I cannot recommend the underground and area Coliseum tour enough - being able to go where the gladiators stood and see the inner workings of the Coliseum was an amazing experience! After the Coliseum, we walked over to The Forum and toured the house of the Vestal Virgins and the Temple of Julius Caesar. We then went to the Capuchin Crypt for a quick 30 min tour. It is an incredibly unique, and macabre site, but definitely worth the quick visit! Claudio then drove us to see the Spanish Steps and the outside of the Pantheon (we didn't have time to do the interior tour). We went to Navona Square for a delicious chocolate tartufo, and then headed to the Vatican for the 'after dark' tour. Being at the Vatican in the evening was a great experience, as Maria said it was much less crowded than during the daytime. We explored the Vatican Museum as well as the Sistine Chapel, both of which were beautiful. Maria's knowledge of art history was impressive, and she was able to point out so many unique pieces to me. We finished at the Vatican around 9pm and then Claudio drove me back to my hotel. He went out of his way to stop at St. Peter's Basilica and a couple of other stops on the way back to get some pictures of places we did not have time to stop and see during the day. I realize that a 13-hour day of tours may not be for everyone, but I really appreciated the flexibility of Through Eternity Tours, Maria and Claudio to help me put together a day that exceeded all of my expectations! I cannot recommend them enough!
We were only in Rome for two days so we chose this all encompassing tour. Our guide Guia Grandi was excellent. She was extremely knowledgeable, never lost enthusiasm and quickly read the pulse of our group and realized what we would enjoy talking about most. She knew exactly when to talk and when not to and was a joy to be around for the day.
I and 3 friends did the Rome in a Day walking tour with Luca. He was truly an amazing guide- thorough knowledge, willingness to share, fun personality. He took us to EVERY possible site we could have wished - Roman Forum, Colosseum, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Vatican w Sistene Chapel. And also talked about many other sites we passed along the way. Luca recommended a pizza place for lunch the was rated best in Rome and it was! He also took us to grab a cappuccino at the most delicious out of the way spot. He was very patient, letting us take our time viewing, and we cut right to the front and walked right into each place we visited. We walked almost 10 miles that day but Luca made the day so memorable I will cherish it forever.
Amazing tour, Lorenzo was a top notch guide very informative and excited to explain the history. Also got to bypass all the big lines
Such an amazing experience with our guide, Lorenzo! The tour was well planned and the information and history provided by Lorenzon was phenomenal. We spent just the right of time at each place, were lead to the front of the lines at all the busy sites, and had a wonderful lunch experience. This tour was exactly what I had envisioned and hoped for!
This was the perfect way to spend a day in Rome seeing all the highlights of the ancient city. Our tour guide Eugenia was wonderful and extremely knowledgeable about each area we visited. She went above and beyond and even scheduled a table at a local lunch restaurant that was incredible. If you’re planning to visit Rome, Through Eternity tours does it right. 1000% recommend their services.
Thomas was amazing! We highly recommend TE Tours. He was a Phd in history so his knowledge and insight was awesome.
We took a day tour of Rome with our expert guide Guia. We couldn't have asked for a better introduction to Rome. As we quickly learned, Licensed Italian Tour Guides must complete a detailed education before becoming a tour guide. Guia was an exceptional guide and extremely knowledgeable. Of course she navigated us through busy Rome on a hot October day, which we appreciated. Guia was also able to answer our questions and give us additional insight we would have never had without her. We cannot thank Guia enough for the experience we had and would highly recommend Guia as a tour guide.
Our guide Guia was so terrific, and incredibly knowledgeable. I would highly recommend it especially if you have limited time to see Rome.
I am writing to thank you for the wonderful tour we had with your excellent tour guide John Tinto and driver Peter. This was the first time we were in Rome and did not know what to expect. John and Peter were an amazing team and provided the best tour we ever had. Peter‘s driving skills were amazing as he timely maneuvered around the city and John knew all the shortcuts to make the most out of our all day Rome tour “ Perfecto.” John is an amazing and brilliant teacher, a true historian full of knowledge about the history of ancient Rome from before the birth of the Christ child, to modern day. Besides knowing about all of the interesting Rome sites he has an incredible knowledge for Christianity and our Catholic faith with remarkable dates of events, including the popes contributions to our Catholic Church. Besides being an archaeologist John has an incredible knowledge of the arts and ancient cultures and based on the knowledge we gained from this gifted teacher our lives have been changed for the good. With deep appreciation and respect thank you, Through Eternity Tours. Bravo ! Mike and Chris Duffy
Thank you to Pip and our guide Thomas . We had booked these tours , pre covid , and finally got to experience both the Vatican and Coliseum Tours . Our pickup and drop off for both tours were on time and everything was handled in a very professional manner . Again I would like to thank Pip for her help and handling of our tours . Yes , I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for a great tour experience . Sam from Canada
We absolutely loved this tour. What an incredible way to experience many of the major attractions in Rome in a short amount of time. Eugenia was our tour guide, she was kind, and incredibly knowledgeable. We truly enjoyed our day with and she added so much to the experience. Request her if you can!
This private tour was an amazing and most memorable of all the things I did while in Rome. Our tour guide John T. led a very exciting tour filled with lots of knowledge and history of Rome. This tour covers many of the must see attractions including the Colosseum, Pantheon, St. Peter’s Basilica, Vatican City along with the icon Sistine Chapel, Roman Forum, Arc of Constantine, and more. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a great adventure.
I would highly recommend the private tour! Cinzia was our guide and she was fabulous. Throughout the day, she would make sure that we were getting as much information as we wanted. It is a walking tour so be prepared and able to walk for a long period of time. Our family of 5 (3 young adult children) had a fabulous time and learned so many things. There wasn't a question that our guide couldn't answer.
Thomas our guide was great he made our day memorable and enjoyable. He was very knowledgeable, A great guide and fun to hang out with. A great guide makes a great tour, thank you Thomas
My tour guide John Tinto was amazing. This guy knew everything about everything there was no about Rome and how things were back in the day. I had such a excellent time and getting a history lesson about Rome. I enjoy every minute of it. After my tour John was even hopeful with telling me where to go on my own to even look at other sites. It was such a long period of time going through everything that he showed me that I was very tired and didn’t know all the walking that was involved in it. Good thing was I’m in pretty good health and I was able to venture off on my own and look at some different things. But after the end of the day I think I was a little too tired to see other sites in Rome. I strongly recommend through eternity tours. It was a great and outstanding adventure for me. John I thank you so much for everything you did for me that day. Hats off to you my friend. And I hope to come back someday again and have you as my tour guide.
What an awesome day exploring Rome with Gracelyn and Robert! We had one day to pack in a lot of sites and they took turns to lead us around seamlessly. Both were highly knowledgeable and answered every question we asked. They also clearly love Rome and their subject matter which made the day fun. I highly recommend Through Eternity Tours for a wonderful way to get to know Rome and all its history.
We had a wonderful experience with Through Eternity Tours! Dylan assisted us from the beginning. He was very responsive to all our emails and set us up with a fabulous itinerary for our Rome in a Day Tour. Dylan made sure that all of the places that we wanted to see in Rome were included and more. We had a wonderful tour with Thomas! His friendly personality and extensive knowledge of Roman history made our day so interesting! Thomas was able to map out a great day for us to make sure we saw everything. My two young adult sons were so interested and enjoyed asking him questions and learning from him. We can’t thank Thomas enough for our tour of Rome. He was so nice and warm right from the beginning and so passionate about Rome. We toured and walked with him as he pointed out so many aspects of Rome that would have gone unnoticed. Thomas showed us everything we wanted to see in Rome, including a trip back to the Vatican so we could see the Basilica. He knows all about the history in Rome and now so do we. Thomas knew the streets of Rome so well. He took us through some beautiful streets and he also knew the best shortcuts. His tour of the Vatican and the Coliseum was exceptional, so interesting! He also took some wonderful pictures of our family that we will treasure always. My two sons also loved his humor. We also had a delicious dinner in a great local restaurant that we enjoyed based on his recommendation. We are so happy to have met Thomas and now have a friend in Rome!
Our guide, Luca, was by far the best ever, he had all the facts and figures. An overall great experience, our best tour by far on our 17 days in Italy, Montenegro, Greece and Spain. A must do tour and ask for Luca, be prepared to be tired when finished.
A group of us was in Rome for only 2 days, so we decided to maximize our time by reserving a private tour of ancient Rome and Vatican City. Marle was our tour guide, and she was wonderful. There wasn't a question she couldn't answer, and I know we barely scratched the surface of her knowledge of Roman history. A highlight of the private tour was being able to skip the lines - the lines at the Colosseum in particular would have wasted nearly our entire day. If you are short on time in Rome, I would highly recommend a private tour!
I was in Italy for ten days with three friends. Rome was our last stop and my friend set up this all day Through Eternity Tours. Fantastic Tour guide was Gracelyn Monaco. Again fantastic. She was so knowledgeable and detailed about simply everything. For an Italian like me it was beyond words. I would highly recommend this company and her again!!!
We had the most perfect tour of Rome. We had Thomas as our guide and he was fantastic. He was passionate and extremely knowledgeable. The private tour for our group of 4 was totally worth it. I saw many groups with 25 people and they all followed a guide who carried a flag and had a microphone and everyone had headphones to hear the guide. It appeared to be very impersonal and allowed no dialog. We were able to ask questions and go at our own pace with this tour. Our guide graciously took pictures and stopped when we wanted. It was outstanding and really made our trip!
