Honestly excellent from start to finish. AJ was engaging and charming both with my husband and I and with our kids. Our 6 year old was engaged the entire time and loved all the involvement. It was a unique way to see the city and worth every penny for us to enjoy an afternoon seeing the sights while he was interested and participating. I would recommend this tour or AJ as a tour guide to anyone in Rome!

Grazie mille to AJ for such a fun and thoughtfully curated experience in Rome. My little one especially loved the animal theme of the scavenger hunt and was so inspired, that he continued to spot them on sculptures and buildings the remainder of our trip. My little one also really loved the opportunity to draw to his hearts content, in lovely and historic spots around the centre of the city. I appreciate that AJ encouraged me (not at all arty) to get involved in the drawing which I enjoy more than expected! We enjoyed the imaginative activities, being creative together and discovering really interesting facts about the eternal city. AJ was also extremely helpful and responsive before booking in answering my questions and we also appreciated the fantastic foodie recs on her Instagram page. We tried a yummy Mexican near Flaminia and 3 gelatarias! It was a fantastic start to our short stay and first time in Rome and we would love to come back and do it again - possibly to try the Modern art lab/ gallery tour next!

AJ led a wonderful and creative art lab tour and scavenger hunt for myself and two boys. She captivated my two boys with the stories she told about the various foundations and sites we visited, while letting them explore their creativity through art. It was an amazing tour and I’m so happy that we had an opportunity to do this tour. I would highly recommend checking this tour out if you are a family visiting Rome!

We had a wonderful experience with AJ! She was super knowledgeable of the history of Rome and made it interesting and fun for my 6 year old. Through the scavenger hunt and art pit stops, we (myself, husband, and 6 year old) were able to identify parts of Roman architecture we never realized before and were then able to make connections to what we saw and ourselves. It was a wonderful way to engage a 6 year old in a city and history that is far beyond her understanding.

AJs art tour in Rome is the perfect way to learn about the city while being able to take some breaks to do some art. My wife and daughter absolutely loved it and we had so much fun! AJ is incredibly knowledgeable about Rome, art history, and she brings all the fun supplies needed to make some art with the family. Just a completely unique way to take a tour while doing something a little different. I can’t recommend this tour enough for families with little ones!!

This tour was incredible! We had so much fun touring and creating art with AJ. My 6 year old daughter enjoyed it so much she asked if we could do it again the next day. Loved getting to explore Rome, learning about hidden gems and taking the little art breaks along the way. AJ was a fantastic tour guide. She knew my kids ages weren’t conducive to walking much and adjusted accordingly. She was also very sweet with them and kept them interested tje whole time while pointing out things of interest to us.

I’m so glad we booked our scavenger hunt with AJ—it was easily one of the best activities we did during our time in Italy (and we did quite a few!). The kids, ages 5 to 8, were completely engaged and excited the entire time as we explored the city. AJ struck the perfect balance of fun, entertainment, and education. The experience was so memorable that the kids are still talking about the facts they learned. She was also incredibly flexible, making sure both the kids and adults in our group were having a great time. When we asked the kids about their favorite part of the trip, they all said the art hunt with AJ! I don’t usually write reviews, but this experience stood out so much that I felt compelled to recommend it to others—definitely book with AJ!

AJ was such an engaging guide with our kids (aged 7 and 10) and with us adults as well. We all had an amazing time with her! She told us facts in a way the children understood and made it interesting for all. We continued to look for the scavenger hunt animals after we departed from her. It was a joy to spend time with her and we all were sad for her to leave us. We wished we could have hung out with her the rest of the day! The time went by so quickly.

Super friendly and made Rome’s art and history really fun for both kids and adults. The “find the hidden animals” game kept my kids excited the whole way (the cat sanctuary was a highlight!), and the little art activity at the end was the perfect touch. We left happy, with cute artworks to take home and really lovely family memories.

From the Trevi Fountain to the Pantheon, every stop felt like stepping into an open-air museum—made even more magical by AJ’s stories and eye for all the tiny details we’d normally walk right past. The “hidden animals” mission was such a brilliant idea: the kids were completely hooked, spotting creatures in statues, buildings, and piazzas (and yes—meeting Rome’s famous feline residents was a total highlight 🐾). And the on-the-spot art activity was the perfect finale—comfy cushions, great supplies, and a chance for everyone (including the parents!) to create together. We attended the Private Scavenger Hunt Art Lab for Families – With Rome’s Landmarks, and it was one of the highlights of our trip! The experience was beautifully organized — a perfect mix of creativity, discovery, and fun. The scavenger hunt around Rome’s landmarks made learning about the city exciting for kids, while the art lab allowed them to express what they saw in their own unique way. The instructor AJ was fantastic — patient, knowledgeable, and so engaging with the children. They managed to balance education and entertainment perfectly. The atmosphere was warm and inspiring, and the whole experience felt very personal and well thought out.

Amazing experience!! Me and my boyfriend wanted to have a different sightseeing in Rome, so we've decided to do the Art Lab with AJ. I couldn't ask for more, AJ is fun, super skilled and we've learned a lot. Super recommended experience!

Today we had an absolutely magical guided sightseeing scavenger hunt with AJ. We went at 6:30pm to try to escape the 90+ heat from the day… She took us to Piazza Minerva, The Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, Largo de Argentina, and another place I forget the name of. She brings art supplies and has your child create art at different spots on the tour in addition to talking about the artists and history behind the beautiful public art and architecture that you see. The scavenger hunt is to see certain animals on a checklist… it was hugely educational for both myself and my daughter and I feel like it made seeing the major sights in Rome soooo much more interesting than if I had just taken my six year old by myself. If I had to pick two activities to recommend to do with kids in Rome I would pick this tour and the fettuccine and tiramisu class at Tucci.

As parents to very distracted, hyperactive kids - we were looking for an engaging way to get them appreciate this beautiful city. Something a regular tour could never do. Luckily we came across AJ's interactive art tour - and I was almost envious of how much fun my kids were having! While I'm no artist - we now have some stunning works to display on our fridge. And I was clueless to how many animals were on Roman landmarks, or what they meant! AJ was extremely patient, ready with an answer to anything the kids threw at her, and very accomodating. She knows her history, and really encouraged the kids to come out of their shells and just enjoy the day! I'd a 100% recommend, return, and participate in one of AJ's art tours again!

AJ's family-friendly art workshop is a must-do in Rome! We wanted to see the main sights, but also keep our kids entertained, and this workshop delivered perfectly.
