Private Double Wine Tasting Tour In Frascati - Exclusive

Claudio was a wonderful tour guide. He arrived promptly and listened patiently to my husband's chatter. LOL. The tour was spectacular—Frascati is beautiful and he took us down a 2000 year old Etruscan trail then off to a lovely winery for a tasting and tour. I loved talking to the owner and walking through the vineyard. After that, we had a delicious lunch at another winery. We were driven home anddropped off right at our hotel. Highly HIGHLY recommend this tour—I wish I could live in Frascati!!

Claudio organized a wonderful day trip from Rome to the Frascati region. After stopping for cappuccino, we toured local ruin with fabulous views of Rome and the surrounding area. Next Claudio took us to a family owned vineyard for wine tasting which was perfect. Last, we had a delicious lunch at a local restaurant with one of the best meals of our trip. Claudio was a perfect tour guide for the day - knowledgeable, flexible and considerate of our needs and wants for the day. Thank you Claudio!

Interesting historic stop at Tusculum to see well preserved ruins that actually predate Rome. Then a wonderful family owned winery with an excellent tour of vineyards and the caves and a tasting. Finally a delicious lunch at at Claudio's favorite restaurant. We had delicious fettuccine with porcini mushrooms and a fantastic mixed grill. We also had three excellent local wines with the meal. Claudio was quite knowledgeable and his selection of places could not have been better.

Very prompt and welcoming on arrival. The car was clean and spacious. He was very knowledgeable of Rome and its surroundings and architecture. Our first location was an architectural adventure and the views were stunning. Our second destination the winery was welcoming and informative. Our person gave a tour of the winery and how the industry works in the region. Lunch was at a restaurant where are father is the chef and family ran. The food was delicious and made truly with love. We would book this on our next visit without blinking an eye!

Me and my family of 10 did the private wine tasting in Frascati for my Mother in Laws birthday. Every single one of us said it was the best day of our two week long trip. We had the chance to enjoy wine in an ancient cave, see ruins outside of the city (and go on a mini hike!) and enjoy a delicious lunch in the mountains. I would recommend any group big or small to book this experience. It really was such a wonderful day.

Claudio was an amazing guide and driver and companion on this trip. We had an amazing day in the countryside. Recommend to anyone wanting to experience wine close to Rome.

Spending the day with Claudio was a highlight of our trip to Italy! We went on this tour in November of 2023- the weather was perfect for the itinerary for the day! He was very communicative, which made pick up and drop off seamless. We had an incredible experience seeing the archeological sites before heading to the vineyard. We got a special tour of the grounds of the vineyard and could eat the grapes off the vine during our walk with the owner. Claudio then took us to lunch at a quaint restaurant that had the feeling of a place where local families gather on the weekends to enjoy time together. The food and wine was amazing, and the service was incredible every where we went. Claudio really made the day extra special and it was such an easy time spending this time with him. He was so personable and easy going. Would highly recommend him on any tour, but especially this one if you want to get out of the city and spend the day in the country side drinking wine! Thank you, Claudio!

A hidden gem- the picturesque Tuscolo Archaeological Park with the ruins of Emperor Tiberius’s palace overlooking an amazing landscape and then proceeding to Frascati for a marathon of wine tasting at one of the best wineries where a 15th century rock mine has been converted into wine cellars. A unique experience with an excellent guide, Claudio who took very good care of us.

Claudio gave us a nice tour with an archeological site, winery, and restaurant. Our only complaint is that we paid a great deal of money for the tour and have written confirmation of pickup point at the Rome port. But then we were told by Claudio we would be charged an extra large sum of money for the pick up point outside of Rome. We had to pay the extra in cash- seemed a bit odd to us and normal business practice. Viator did have our credit card but we were told we had to pay cash. We would appreciate an explanation.

Claudio was wonderful!! He was very knowledgeable about the historical site we visited, beautiful scenery. The wine tasting was amazing, authentic wine caves and a lovely hostess/owner with a delicious selection of wines. White, red and a lovely dessert wine to end with. The restaurant Claudio chose for lunch was like a home cooked meal. Cozy fire, and a friendly staff, and delicious food made lunch very memorable.

We had an amazing day with Claudio, from the moment we met him at Termini station he was very friendly and welcoming, his tour is authentic, super interesting and he is very knowledgeable of his region. The winery we visited was very typical and the owner was passionate and gave us a great tour. We had an amazing traditional lunch at a restaurant he reserved for us. We enjoyed our day and highly recommend him. We can’t wait to come back to Rome to book another tour with him. Grazie Claudio!

Claudio was great. It was a lovely day with some history and wine. Great winery. Highly recommend !

We couldn't asked for more. Good wine, good food, good weather, great people! Exactly what we came for! Thank you Claudio!

Claudio’s personalized tour was an amazing experience. He picked us up at our residence mid-morning and we stopped for coffee and a pastry on the way to the Frascati region. We then drove up winding roads through the countryside, up to the ancient archeological site of Tusculum for a hike around the site with amazing views of the the region. Claudio was very knowledgeable about the site and details about the surrounding areas. We then visited the 16th century winery for a tasting and tour. The owner gave us a tour of the vineyards and caverns under the farmhouse, explaining in detail their wine making process and the history of the property. We then drove to a local restaurant for lunch and a second tasting experience. The restaurant terrace was so beautiful and relaxing with cascading flowers and plants. The chef had recommended an exquisite lunch but also offered us to choose from the menu, if desired. Claudio was patient and ready at a moments notice to pick us up and drive us back to Rome. We loved the experience and highly recommend the tour if looking for a shorter tour from the typical whole day trip to the Tuscan region. The trip was 5-6 hours and only a short 45min drive from Rome.

Claudio was the absolute best on this tour. He took us to some amazing ruins before the wine tour. The winery tour was fascinating and the wines super yummy. The best part was seeing and tasing wines down in the volcanic cave cellars. After the winery he chose a wonderful restaurant that took my husband's allergies into consideration and worked with us when we wanted to purchase additional glasses over and above what the tour offered. Best way to end a vacation. Thank you Claudio!!!!

This was to be a private tour. Our host texted two days prior to ask if we could change the date for our tour. We could not, so he asked if someone else could join us. Since we couldn't be flexible with the date, we agreed. We didn't get a proper wine tasting at the first place. We joined a tour already in progress and had to circle back around once the other tour was done. Our tour operator brought us to a great place for lunch but ate with us? Which was fine, but a little weird. Car was small. I think there are better tours. This was a really nice area and we would have like to spend our time on a proper tour and wine tasting.

Claudio was an excellent host. He did a nice job of describing everything we saw and some history about it. His choice of the vineyard and restaurant for lunch were fantastic. Paula was obviously passionate about the art and science of making her wine and the product proves that. The whole experience was excellent.

Claudio is an exceptional tour guide with an enormous depth of knowledge of the area. He organized a last minute trip for us around Christmas (a holiday in Italy). He took us to a really great winery (Antiche), with a 200 year old farmhouse and a lot of history. Both the wine and the tour were fantastic. He also took us to a really cute place for lunch, and the food was excellent. Cannot recommend Claudio enough! Ps - the winery has an amazing dog named Orso.

Super-interesting archaeological visit, amazing wines, incredibly delicious lunch. Claudio is definitely the perfect host for this lovely day trip to the wine area just outside Rome. Highly recommended!

We spent half a day tasting the best wines ever and delicious traditional food. Claudio was the perfect company and professional and knowledgeable guide. Starting the day with rhe archeological walk was fantastic and so interesting!

We had the perfect day with Claudio and Luigi. They picked us up at the hotel and took us up into the mountains for a wonderful guided tour. Then there was a visit to an intimate winery with full training and tastings of food and the best wines. Wow! Then there was lunch and more wine at Hosteria Amadeo. And this topped everything and made the whole experience perfect. What a day! For some great guides! For some nice memories. You must try this. Get away from busy Rome for half a day. Memories you will never forget!
