Julia S. Greeted us with a kind smile and walked us through Ancient Roman history with great enthusiasm today. Julia took her time to explain and answer questions with ease. We felt well taken care of throughout the tour as my mother is elderly Julia took time to consider the best ways to accommodate us for easier access. We would highly recommend touring the ancient ruins and the colosseum with Julia!

This tour far exceeded our expectations. It was expensive, but worth the money. Rebecca, our guide and an archaeologist, was hugely knowledgeable and brought everything to life brilliantly. We absolutely loved our time with her and learned loads.

We had a wonderful private tour of the Roman Forum and Colosseum with Stefa, and she was fantastic. Stefa’s historical explanations brought the ruins to life, and the visual aids she brought were incredibly helpful for picturing what these impressive structures looked like in their original glory. We especially enjoyed her insights into the restoration history of the Colosseum, as she explained how different leaders across various time periods applied changing philosophies to preserve and rebuild it. Beyond her historical expertise, Stefa showed an exceptional level of professionalism in managing the crowds. Navigating an intensely busy arena can be overwhelming, but she was always attentive—expertly carving out space for us so we could listen comfortably and take in the sights without feeling rushed. We truly appreciated her guidance, skill, and thoughtfulness, and we highly recommend touring with her!

This tour was absolutely fantastic! Sara was an INCREDIBLE guide. So engaging, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about sharing this part of Roman history. She made the experience so fun and memorable for our group. The duration of the tour was perfect and really necessary to fully appreciate the rich history and significance of these incredible sites without feeling rushed. It is a lot of walking, so be sure to dress comfortably as a member of our group found out. We also got lost on my way to the meeting point, but when I called the agency, they were incredibly helpful and literally guided me step by step until we arrived at the right point. They could have brushed us off for being late and kept our money, but they were so supportive and it made all the difference. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rome! Between Sara’s outstanding guiding and the agency’s exceptional customer service, it was an experience my friend and I won’t forget. Absolutely worth it!!

Roxy is an art historian so knows her stuff on this tour. She was very accommodating to our interests and needs. It was a wonderful tour! If you don’t want to wait in LONG lines, it is totally worth it to do a private tour! Would do it again!

This was a MUST while in Rome. The private tour made it so easy to ask questions and to learn of so many things about the Roman Forum and the Colosseum. Our guide made the day so much fun!

Tour with Federico was excellent. Personable and knowledgeable. We covered three areas: the Coliseum, the Palatine Hill/Augustus residence and the Forum. I felt we could have spent more time on the Forum, less on the Augustus residence. It’s a lot to cover in a single tour. For future reference, the tour guide should ask how the time should be divided.

Ribal was our guide and did an exceptional job of giving us an overview of the history of the Colosseum and the surrounding area! We highly recommend this tour and had a great afternoon.

There is no flexibility to change who attends the tour once you pay. My wife became ill the evening before our tour and could not attend the next day. I invited a friend in our group to attend in her place. However, because I did not submit my friends name when purchasing the tour, they were denied entry. No refund and no flexibility to change the name. Had to eat the cost

Emily was an amazing tour guide and historian of the Roman Colosseum and neighboring Roman Forum/Palatine Hill. She knew exactly where to go to give us the best views and pictures and also navigate the crowds to spend less time waiting in line. The tour was also historically educational and the various stops were breathtaking in their historical significance. We would absolutely take this tour again and highly recommend a private tour for anyone who loves history.

My girlfriend and I booked a private tour of the colosseum and ancient city, including Roman forum. We were lucky enough to have Valentina for our tour and she was absolutely fantastic! She gave us a wonderful private tour of the Roman Colosseum and the ancient sites of Rome. We took the morning tour and were able to walk right in. Valentina was incredibly knowledgeable about the history and brought everything to life with fascinating stories, background, and details that we would have missed on our own. We also had great conversations about Rome, Italy, and USA it was like talking to a long-time friend! She also gave us a great recommendations list for Rome. We learned so much and really enjoyed the overall experience, which lasted about 3 hours. We highly recommend this tour and Valentina to anyone looking for an excellent guide in Rome!

Great tour! The tour guide was fluent in english, and he was very knowledgeable about the history of the area. He had visual aids for recreations of ruins on his ipad, and he was extremely kind! The tour group was the perfect size. He took our picture whenever asked, and we skipped the line everywhere we went.

My wife and I learned a tremendous amount, but it was seeing our kids genuinely excited about Roman history that made this experience so memorable. Dario’s enthusiasm, storytelling, and ability to tailor the tour to both adults and children made this one of the highlights of our trip to Rome. Great tour by Luka of the ancient Roman stuff

We had a complicated situation - 3 kid with wide span of ages, mom in a wheelchair, sweltering heatwave. Marta did a terrific job managing and adapting the tour so it was interesting and comfortable for everyone - her deep knowledge of both the Colosseum and surrounding history made it look easy (and it wasn't!!!)

Ribal was an amazing guide for our afternoon at the colosseum and the forum. I thought he did a great job of keeping our kids engaged and providing more detailed information for the adults. He also was very conscious of the pacing and the heat and sun. He knew all the shady spots to stop and talk over the history of this amazing place.

This tour saved us! I previously booked a Colosseum tour months ago from another operator, to be cancelled on one month before my trip. I quickly learned to only book Colosseum tours through officially licensed tour companies or the Colosseum itself. I was unable to book through the Colosseum, so LivTours was a lifesaver. Incredible experience. Barbara, our tour guide, was great. She kept us on schedule without feeling rushed given you could easily been there twice as long. Barbara was great with our 18 year old daughter and I couldn't recommend her any more highly. She always made sure we were comfortable given it was a little hot.
