Private Arrival Transfer: Rome Train Station To Hotel

Unfortunately, this transfer service was a very disappointing experience, especially after a long trip and arriving in Rome for the first time. To be fair, the driver did message us with instructions on where to meet him at the train station. However, as first-time visitors to Rome, the directions were not very clear or easy to follow, and we spent quite a while trying to figure out where to go before finally locating him. The bigger issue happened when we arrived near our hotel. The driver initially wanted to drop us off about 6 blocks away, saying there were too many people and it was difficult to reach the hotel area. We specifically booked and paid for a private transfer to our hotel, so this was extremely frustrating, especially with luggage in a crowded city we were unfamiliar with. My husband had to ask if there was somewhere closer he could take us. The driver became visibly irritated, huffing and puffing, before eventually dropping us off about 2 blocks away instead. While we understand Rome can be busy and crowded, we still expected the service we paid for. Overall, the customer service and attitude were disappointing, and the experience added unnecessary stress to our arrival in Rome.

Our driver showed up a little late citing a car accident. Otherwise good experience, our driver got us from the train station to the hotel safely.

The communication before the trip was spot on. The vehicle was big enough to accommodate all our luggage. It was clean and looked well maintained and new. The operator was very helpful in communication before the transfer. He pointed us to the fact that our train was cancelled. This prompted us to go to the train station early and catch an earlier train. I rate this experience 5 stars.

I didn't care for the fact that the driver only took on one of our suitcases, instead of both. Seemed inconsiderate. The ride was fine.

Wish I could give this driver zero stars. He was RUDE! It was pouring rain and we tried to buy umbrellas at the pharmacy in front of the pick up location and he yelled at us that he had no time for that. We then got in the car and he fussed at me for not getting the vouchers out fast enough. He then yelled at traffic and drove crazy the whole way to the hotel. It was AWFUL! This is my first bad review of my entire stay in Italy

Our driver met us on time at the precise location. He helped with out luggage. He was very personable.

Definitely not worth the price we paid. Had to wait outside in the rain for our “private meet and greet“. Would have been easier to take one of the taxis that were waiting before our guy arrived.

We were a little nervous arriving at night in a country we have never been to and do not speak the language, but our driver was ver communicative and made it so much easier for us!

Life saver!!! Taxi line was endless. Heat was oppressive to walk. Streets are crowded, so riding in a private van was so nice.

Our experience started the moment I booked. The company was thorough getting the address of our place and our driver was waiting when our train arrived with a sign in hand. The very nice gentleman was pointing out points of interest on the way to our Airbnb and answered questions. The gentleman driver loves his city! He brought our bags up the very uneven cobblestone path so I didn’t have to. I will absolutely use this service again.

Antonio met us just outside the Roma Termini station and we were in our large van heading to our hotel in less than 5 minutes. The van was necessary for 5 travelers and all of our luggage…..5 carry in’s and 2 large checked bags. Great experience.

When we arrived at Roma Termini, I did not know which exit to take, I called the phone number provided and the agent told me where to find the driver. As a suggestion, he should have a better sign vice a hand written note. The driver was very good and welcoming.

The transfer was easy and the car was a great Mercedes luxury car. The only complex part was finding the driver at the Roma Termini train station, but it was mostly my fault as I did not ready the voucher carefully enough. We found each other after a short delay and then we quickly got on our way to the hotel. The driver was professional and safe. Much better than waiting in the taxi line.

It was very disappointing to learn that we needed to confirm the transfer at least 48 hours in advance. Our hotel called for us 24 hours prior and we were told that our booking was cancelled. We were unable to reschedule another ride to the hotel. However, there are so many taxis in Rome that we were able to get a ride to the hotel that was actually less expensive than the transfer

The man that picked us up could not have been any ruder. We were told that we would see him with the sign when we got off the train. NOPE! So, how in the world are we supposed to know what side of a train terminal to go to when we depart in a city we have NEVER been to?? Excuse us for making YOU wait. GO WITH ANOTHER COMPANY.

Arrived on the listed train #8909 from Venice on time at 1350. Arrivals board in Rome Termini clearly marked. We looked everywhere but no sign with name. Took a cab for 20 euros to hotel. Spoke with someone who answered phone in Sunday. "It wasn't us. You must have had a different pick up company". I knew that was false--I have the voucher. He said they had "no booking" in my name. I said that I would handle this on my return to the US. He suddenly found my Friday booking. " I have proof that we waited until 2:21 pm and if your train was late that's not our fault". He seemed very combative. The train was listed to arrive at 13:50 and did so. I have proof we were left--we were there! We searched both exits as well as the arrival track. Why send someone for a 13:50 arrival at 13:01 to stay the 1 hour and then leave at 2:21. Poor service for the paying customer. Terrible business model. If I could have given a "0" I would have. We will see if they pick us up at our hotel within the hour or if we must take a taxi to the airport, too.

This is a great service. Always prompt, clean and comfortable transport. Well worth the extra money for party of 4 with luggage. Highly recommend Executive Rent through Viator.

A group of six travelers, with luggage. Email confirmation didn't spify a meeting point, was expecting driver to meet the group in the train station. It took a couple of phone calls to find out where the driver was waiting for us (outside of the station). The drive to the hotel was fine, no issues. However, the driver stopped short of the hotel because he didn't think he could get closer (about half a block away). A short walk that could have easily been driven (on return from hotel to train station the same driver was able to pull up directly in front of the hotel). The transport was much easier than trying to coordinate several taxis or navigate the buses. All in all a easier solution than the options.
