This site was very interesting. The Skip the Line entry was quick and easy, the audio guide was helpful and the Herculaneum exhibit was very very interesting. The highlight for me was the stunning views from the top! I loved simply absorbing the vistas. I had always been interested in visiting and I’m very glad I did. I heartily recommend the skip the line option.

We had the best time! It was busy but not overly busy where you felt rushed to look at the exhibits. It was very clean, well organized and the staff/security were very nice. The view from the top was spectacular as well. We did order the audio guide however we opted out as they do require you leave your ID there (drivers licence/passport) until you return the device however I wasn’t aware of this and we were not comfortable doing so (not a complaint just an FYI)

they accommodated our early arrival, self guided tour, didn't feel rushed at all. Kept our IDs as deposits for listening devices and returned promptly when we returned our devices.
Excellent trip. Loved the views, history such as the long fortified walkway to the Vatican. Beware using cafes or ice cream vans around Castel Sant Angelo and the Vatican. They automatically give double measures on massively inflated prices. We were charged EUR78 (card) plus demanded an EUR10 cash tip when we knew there was a risk. On a previous trip 9yrs ago we were charged EUR100 for 4 ice creams and 4 drinks a short walk from the Vatican. Just eat everything elsewhere.
Didn’t need a priority ticket. No one was there at the location. Just buy direct from site. They did send tickets to WhatsApp.
Where the audio devices are located. We don’t see the sign and the workers at the entrance gave us the wrong info. Possible better signage could be added
Tickets on the public website were not available, so this was the next best thing! Although I could have just walked up and bought a ticket, there was no line at the ticket window at 10:30am on a Tuesday on July 7th.
We got the tickets far in advance with no problem. Went through the gate with ease. It was a wonderful experience.
Easy to use a virtual ticket for entrance. It would have been helpful to include an audio guide device. We paid an extra 8 euros for each device but it was helpful to have it to appreciate the purpose and features of the Castelo.
Definitely would have been better with the (optional, 8€/ person) audio guide. There was still a line to wait in - though short, since it was so hot out - even with this ticket. Great communication with the tour company, too - tickets arrived the night before via WeChat and email.

Tickets were online and easy to access. Activity close to the Vatican so worked well after work. However, this site has minimal to see other than some good views of the city.
In general our experience was good. The Castel San Angelo is beautiful. A good point to keep in mind is that the ticket has an hour but don’t be panic if you don’t arrive on time, you still go to go.
Easy process. Tickets were sent to me via WhatsApp the night before and I was able to download and walk straight in. The price is more than buying directly from the provider, but we weren’t sure when we wanted to go. So this price gave some flexibility two days beforehand. Castel Sant Angelo is cool history. But the views are the real attraction. Best views in Rome. Best skyline photos we took and that was worth the money.

I checked the website and was not able to buy tickets for the day we wanted so I found this option on Viator instead. We received the tickets in advance and we walked right in and went to pickup the audio guide which was well worth having. We walked around at our own pace and thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Do not even get me started on the views of the city from the vantage points on 2nd 3rd and 4th floors of this castle. And the audio guides about 17 points a little long winded but amazing information.
It was definitely worth purchasing the tickets ahead of time. It saved us at least an hour wait in line.
Great at each level. A trip that made my day. Fee was fair. It took my around 90 mins the whole visit. You can't come to Roma without coming to this marvelous site.
I took a high speed train tour from Rome to pompheii and I would definitely recommend this tour! They met us at train station and were very nice and pleasant and everything was very easy and planned wonderfully and easy to follow!

Easy to book at a time which suited us on the day after our Vatican museum trip was cancelled via Viator (not sure of the reason but suspect it was sheer numbers in the day). We had priority tickets and so no queuing at all. The castle itself was easy to get round although a few steps to negotiate but worth it for the wonderful views once you were up there virtually 360 degrees. Also clean toilets and a cafe. All in all it made up for the initial disappointment of the called Vatican museum tour and we still got to see St Peter’s square Nd the basilica.
I highly recommend visiting Castel Sant’Angelo, but the skip the line price for the early morning time slot is a waste of money! There was no line to skip. Probably worth it for times later in the day when the crowd picks up. We paid for the audio tour, which was very informative. However, not all of the numbered stops are obvious/easy to find. Don’t get worried if your stops get out of numerical order!
Ali met us right on time and was easy to find. We definitely recommend adding the audio tour as it provided a ton of interesting information as many of the rooms didn’t have much signage. This is an excellent way to spend a couple hours in a hot Roman summer. Much of the area is indoor (several of the rooms had some air conditioning) and much of the outdoor space was shaded with a nice breeze. It also offers spectacular views of Rome and Vatican City from a high vantage point. Pro tip: skip the porta potties outside as there are several clean restrooms inside. We also really appreciated the cafe midway up with stunning views and an opportunity to rest with a cool beverage.

Ticket arrived 1 minute before the reservation time, risking the purchase of other tickets on-site. Tried to contact them in the previous days without a response. Called on the same day without a response. Also called by Viator's customer service without receiving a response. Paid for the audio guide that was not provided, being told that we had to buy it separately from the staff at Castel Sant'Angelo. Two stars only because in the end we were able to access.
Got tickets via whatsapp, super. No queue, keep going. We walked the route without audio. Is perfectly doable. The running direction is well indicated.
Reservation made at 11pm the day before, tickets received the next day at 6am. Very responsive team, skip-the-line tickets without hindrance, perfect!!! I recommend!!!

A must to visit, ideally at aperitif time if you want to take it on the ramparts of the castle.
Although the day was rainy, we enjoy our tour of the castle to the fullest. The priority ticket was also useful.
