Maria was an exceptional tour guide for us. From the pick up right outside our hotel( she was waiting for us) she speckled our drive with fabulous facts and history. After our tour in Pompeii with a separate guide, we were shuttled to a wonderful winery lunch at the base of Vesuvius. The walking tour of Naples was very fun, and she was able to tailor it to some mobility issues in our group. So glad we went with this instead of a larger group/coach or trying to get to Pompeii, etc by train.

Your guide also, will help you discover some aspects of daily life in the Roman imperial era. Walking along the ancient streets, you will visit the most evocative places of the ancient city, such as the Forum, the Baths, La Casa dei Vetti, with its beautiful frescoes, and you will be able to admire the houses, shops and public buildings brought to light by the work of archaeologists.

Sam was a very talented guide. He is knowledgeable, pleasant, and gave us a tour we will remember! I recommend Welcome Italy tour and Sam for your next family trip!
We enjoyed the tour so much. Nariman and Emanuele picked us up from our hotel lobby. Manuele drove and Nariman explained what we would be doing. We stopped for a moment and got coffee and pastries. We drove to Pompeii during which Nari told us all about what we were seeing. When we got to Pompeii, we met Anna Sofia who showed us Pompeii. Both Anna and Nariman were patient with me being a little slower walking in the heat. Very thorough instruction by both guides and Manuele was a very safe driver. Our lunch was amazing! We would do this same tour again in a heartbeat!
This was a perfect day. Driver was great, and the guide was WONDERFUL. So knowledgeable and kind, and flexible, based on our family’s needs. Highly recommend.
Our tour was one of the highlights of our trip! Giuseppe was an outstanding guide—friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing the history of the region. He shared fascinating stories and insights, making the experience both educational and enjoyable. Thank you, Giuseppe, for making our day so memorable. We highly recommend this tour!
This was a wonderful tour to Pompeii and Naples from Rome. The drivers (we needed 2 vans due to the number of people in our group) met us at our apartment right on time and were amazing! Antoinette was an exceptional guide full of great information, very animated and just a lovely person. We stopped for a quick breakfast on the way, which was very needed since we left at 6:45 am. We also have a great guide in Pompeii who gave us a wonderful 2 hour tour. After the ruins, we went for lunch and wine tasting at a local winery (amazing!) and spent the afternoon in Naples. Seriously a great way to spent a day!! Highly recommend!
Monica, our tour guide was kind and knowledgeable. She was also patient with us when we needed to take a little extra time at Pompeii. The guide in Pompeii, Hector, was knowledgeable and funny. We enjoyed our trip very much.
Our tour guide Nariman was very knowledgeable and had a bright and welcoming manner. Arthur was an excellent driver thru some tough weather and conditions.
Since the start, everything was perfect, Pepe is awesome, kind and joyful. In Pompeii, Emmanuela has perfect timing and knowledge for everything. Later in Napoli, Pepe share experience and knowledge, even jokes with us. And never forget Francesco, our driver
This was, by far, the most incredible tour! Our tour guides Nariman and Sam were absolutely outstanding! They were so kind, welcoming, professional and knowledgeable. Our family is a group of 8 and we are traveling with 3 young children and they were with us every step of the way! From providing perfect condition car seats, beautiful transportation with wonderful drivers Pino and Massimiliano, to escorting us through every step of the tour, guaranteeing our safety and satisfaction, they truly are working in the perfect field. They are SO knowledgeable about all things Italy, it’s truly incredible! This tour is worth every single penny. The ruins of Pompeii are unbelievably breathtaking and our guide Francesco took us through and provided incredible information along the way. The lunch and wine tasting was incredible as well. 5 stars all around!!
Nariman was an excellent and knowledgeable tour guide. Adam was on time picking us up and was very friendly and a great driver. They took us to the Pompeii ruins where Paulo showed us so much. Then a beautiful winery Cantina del Vesuvio where we sampled delicious wine and food😋 Next we saw beautiful Naples with lots of shops, history and food. It was a fabulous day!
This is a great day trip from Rome! If you love history, Pompeii should definitely be on your list. There will be a separate guide at the archeological site to walk you around for about 1.5 hours. It is amazing how much of it has been preserved. Then you will stop for lunch at a really beautiful winery. The food is amazing, and the views of Mount Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples are stunning. Next is Naples - be prepared for a very chaotic city. Wish the guide gave us a little more information on the city history, etc. The last scenic stop of the bay was great for photos! Overall, it was a great tour, and since it was a small group (ours was only 5 people), they gave a little more flexibility on what to do in Naples, plus coffee and pit stops both ways.
We took an amazing day tour to Pompeii and Naples with guide Antoinette and driver Pedro. Pedro’s driving was fabulous—he expertly navigated our van through incredibly tight spaces with total confidence. Antoinette was a standout, sharing her deep knowledge through captivating stories rather than dry facts, and she was endlessly patient with our group. Highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting the area!
We booked this on a whim last week because we had a day we were trying to make sure we got a lot in. This trip was perfect. The driver and tour guide Giuseppe were awesome. Very accommodating and checked on us every step of the way. He was very informative on history as well and making sure we got some great pictures abd beautiful views. Booking the private option was the way to go. No tour busses with babies screaming and people talking over the tour guide like so many others. The stop at Pompeii with Romolo was very informative as well. Then off to wine tasting over at a winery that prides itself on growing from the earth/soil from the base of Mt Vesuvius. Then off to Naples, we were shown a lot of the main square and got to try Neopolitan pizza and fritte pizza. Couldn't have planned it better ourselves. These multi stop trips are nice to plant seeds in the head to where you want to spend more time the next vacation.
This was such a wonderful experience. Great guide and driver. Felt very luxurious and hospitable. Fantastic photo opportunities and information on the sites visited. Overall experience was around 12 hours so it definitely felt like a good value.
It was our guide Ettore at Pompeii 😊 truly fantastic, he had an answer to every question, was extremely well behaved and funny and friendly and took great care to walk us along this incredible place.
Lots of information and a good hike. The magnitude of the area proves the intelligence and creativity of man.
This is a well worthwhile excursion from Rome. Pompeii is fascinating and our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The winery and lunch were excellent and despite rain we were able to enjoy some of Naples. Maria our guide for the day was full of great facts and ensured the day ran smoothly.
Very prompt in picking us at the hotel. The guide was very energetic and personable. The Pompeii guide was very knowledgeable. Maybe a little too much detail for my 13 & 14 yr old grandchildren. Lunch was excellent. Naples tour was very good. Bonus as I had missed seeing the veiled sculptures on a previous visit. They located and we made a special trip to see. Definate highlight was to see Museo Cappella Sansevero, veiled sculptures of Jesus and

The tour guide was informed, interesting and impressive!

The driver and tour guide we completely silent. The guide barely spoke english. She was terrible. The Pompeii tour guide was amazing! Really great.....I would suggest hiring a driver or take the train and just get a tour guide for the Pompeii tour.

We had a wonderful day with so much history. Our guide and driver were simply amazing and catered to our needs and desires. We learned so much and saw more in one day than we could have on our own. Perfect spots to sightsee. We had a glitch at first because the tour was set on an off day and the company arranged since we were booked to fly out and couldn't switch dates, they had the wine tasting private on a day they are normally not open so it was very special. I couldn't have been more happy with their service.

We really liked the tour; it was a wonderful day. Perfect from beginning to end. We would like to give a special thanks to our travel assistant Ana, our guide Flávia in Pompeii, and our driver Roberto; they were all always friendly, attentive, and helpful. Their kindness and care made the trip even more pleasant. Thank you very much for everything!
The tour was very good, they passed us very punctual, Luigi the very nice driver, they gave options to go for something for breakfast. The guide to Pompeii very nice Emanuela explained excellent history and what happened in the City of Pompeii. They took us to a tasting and food in Cantina del Vesuvio and it was excellent. And Nicholas was also very detailed and nice in Naples. I would definitely return to make one more experience with Welcome Italy agency ❤️🇮🇹🫶🏻
