Our driver, Alex was great and we very much enjoyed our day. He communicated with us clearly and professionally and was a delight to talk to before and during our tour. He brought us the most amazing pastries for breakfast and provided bottled water for the day. At Pompeii, we had Francesca for our private tour guide and she was amazing! Extremely knowledgeable and fun to be with. I highly recommend this tour for anyone that values comfort, convenience and an all around great experience. Thank you both for a memorable day! We had an outstanding experience with our private driver, Stefano. He picked us up right on time at our hotel, drove us to Pompeii, and then safely transported us to Positano. Our driver Alex Paolini was super friendly and a great companion for the day! Francesca was a lovely guide through Pompeii which was fascinating. Positano was not our favorite because it was crowded and too touristy. But the experience as a whole was a fun day!

Very satisfied. We book months in advance, and communication was good. We were reminded that we needed to book apart if we wanted a tour in Pompeii, rather than wandering on our own. Our driver Peter was knowledgeable, polite and friendly, which we wanted for a private tour. He answer promptly our calls and was on time to pick us form the hotel. Francesca was our guide in Pompeii and helped navigate that tremendous area with the hot weather avoiding crowds when possible. After about 2 hrs, there was more but we felt satisfied of what we could see without much fatigue. Peter promptly picked us up and went to Sorrento, from the choices, we picked it because of the famous lemons. We had a good time and some shopping. We were back to our hotel at 7pm.

We spent the day with Alex Paolini traveling to Pompeii and Sorrento, and couldn’t have had a better experience. He communicated with us in advance to set up timing, showed up early and brought breakfast since we started early, and even provided a gluten free breakfast for our daughter! The van was super clean and he thought of everything all the way down to charges for phones. His expertise was invaluable getting us to and from the locations we visited, and he was very flexible with our timing and plans. I highly recommend Alex for anyone’s tour.

Alex Paolini was our driver for our trip from Rome to Pompeii and Sorrento. It was door-to-door service and Alex was very friendly - he even had pastries for breakfast for our whole family - including a gluten free option for our daughter. His van had wifi and charging outlets, was cool and clean. He also provided waters for us and was pleasant to chat with along the way.

While on an Italy family trip, a bucket list visit for our daughter was Pompeii. We didn’t have time to afford a stay in Naples which is the typical launching point, but we were excited to find this day trip option from Rome. We added on the optional guided tour of Pompeii, and Francesca was amazing! She helped us avoid the crowds and lines, and we got to experience the amazing history of the site. Our driver, Alex Paoloni, was extremely communicative prior to the trip and during and took care of us in every way including a little breakfast to hold us over to lunch. Positano was even more beautiful in person, and we were very thankful to only be spending a little time there give the hustle and bustle of the tourist crowds. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see both Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast from Rome without the large tour groups and flexibility to customize your day.

We took a day trip with Guiliano. He was very friendly, helpful and had handy tips through out the day. For the long drive the Merc was very comfortable and he was picking us and keeping on touch before & during entire trip. Luckily the weather was great and no road issues so made it in time in evening. Photo stops & restaurant guidance was very handy. Highly recommend him.

I had a great experience with Alex Paolini. He is a good driver. The only bad thing was that the front seat can not lean backwards and it is a little bit uncomfortable.

Desiree was an amazing tour guide!! She definitely deserves a pay raise!! She was very friendly and helpful. Pompeii was amazing, just wish we were there longer than hour and half. Definitely wasn’t enough time. The Amalfi coast wasn’t worth the time going. Especially since we’re there almost four hours . I didn’t care for our driver at all. He was smoking the whole time we were in the van. Otherwise the trip was great!!

We were picked up from hotel in Rome and driven to our tour of Pompei. Our driver Alex was excellent. He suggested we leave early to avoid traffic and beat the rain that was predicted. Since we could not eat breakfast in our hotel Alex provided delicious pastries as a replacement. He was also very friendly and we enjoyed great conversation along the way. His driving skills made us feel safe especially driving from the tour to Amalfi after the tour. I would highly recommend Best Rome Driver!

Just departing Sorrento with our very helpful, friendly and professional driver, Alex P.. Our journey started this morning when Alex picked us up at the front door of our Rome hotel at 7am. Because he’d recommended we leave a little earlier than planned, he even provided a delicious breakfast at the start of our trip (“Don’t worry about breakfast, I’ll have it for you” - ! He was in contact with us the day before, so we were well prepared). A delightful drive to Pompeii, where we met up with our tour guide for Pompeii, Francesca. She is a fantastic guide and our time touring the wonders of Pompeii flew by! Very knowledgeable, Francesca really brought this ancient civilization to life for us. Don’t miss it! Back in our very nice Mercedes Van and Alex expertly navigated the roads to beautiful Sorrento. He recommended a spot for lunch which did not disappoint - delicious pizza and pastas. A few hours exploring the many shops and cafes - of course grabbing some fine Italian leather goods, Lemoncello, gelato, and cappuccino through the afternoon. Highly recommend this very fun and professional tour!

Alex was early, brought us wonderful, croissants, and drinks for breakfast. He was professional, knowledgeable, and so so much fun to be with! on a sidenote, he does not like taxes…😂 We learned a lot about his country through his eyes, and we arrived at Pompeii in the Amalfi coast, safe and sound! Our first tour from Rome was this private day trip to Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast, and it was fantastic! In Pompeii, Marzia was our guide and gave us a rich, private tour packed with fascinating historical insights and storytelling. Her passion and expertise brought the ruins to life. Alex was a wonderful tour guide! He provided breakfast, water, and phone chargers for us first thing in the morning. We explored Pompeii and was very accommodating for my dad who has accessibility challenges (choosing a stop with a handicap bathroom, wheeling him to the front, etc.) and then went to Sorrento for lunch and shopping in the afternoon. Alex was on time, accommodating, kind, helpful, and thoughtful! Would definitely recommend working with Alex in the future! PS, he is a great photographer!

The day started very early for our tour to Pompeii, the Amalfi Coast and ended in Sorrento. Alex Paolini picked us up at our hotel with bottles of water and fresh baked croissants. Alex took us first to Pompeii, where at our bathroom stop, he even came prepared with tissues for the bathroom and hand sanitizer 👍 After touring Pompeii, we texted him, and he picked us up, and our next stop was to see breathtaking views of the Amalfi Coast- Alex took many pictures of us, and even included himself in 2 pictures 😁 Last stop was 3 hours in Sorrento- to eat and shop. At 4:00, Alex greeted us at our meeting place with plenty of cold bottles of water for the trip back home. While I am usually a nervous person in a car, Alex was a very safe driver- who made sure we were all comfortable. My husband uses a wheelchair, and I was very impressed that Alex actually wheeled my husband to the places we needed to be! All in all, he made it a great day!

Giuliano was our driver for this tour as well as two other days, and he was so so kind to us. He gave us so much information about the places we were going to and he always made sure we were comfortable. If we struggled speaking to locals he happily stepped in to help. He was very helpful with my father's mobility scooter and wheelchair as well. Would recommend for everyone!

Alex Paolini was great! He was on time, provided breakfast, provided many waters throughout the day, and helped us customize our trip to our needs. We were originally going to go to Positano, but he recommended Sorrento instead since my Grandma needed an easier place to walk. Whenever we needed him, he was quick to respond! The car was spacious and had very nice air conditioning. It was the best way to travel to these places and stress free!

I am so happy we chose this outing. If you can leisurely spare a day on your trip then ai highly recommend. Pompeii is incredible and fascinating to see, touch and walk through. Positano will be one of the most beautiful places you will ever set your eyes on. The drive is scenic and once you hit Amalfi Coast your jaw will drop. Stefano, our driver, was actually amazing. What a great trip! We really enjoyed Stefano, he did a great job navigating us throughout the day! This company also coordinated a guide for Pompeii. We lived Positano along the Amalfi Coast. It was a relaxing day not having to worry about how to get to the various locations. Enjoyed the drive and the locations we visited. This is a perfect way to experience these sites!
