Pompeii, Sorrento & Amalfi Coast Day Trip From Rome

The entire program was amazing, from our driver Giuseppe and our guide Antonino who made sure our trip was comfortable and full of history. Our family enjoyed both the ride and all the important facts Antonino shared with us. Then, at the archeological site we had the opportunity to learn about Pompei in a very passionate and entertaining way with our guide Lilly. This activity was a great finale of our stay in Italy. A great way to spend the day. The 1st stop at Pompeii was full of interesting facts about the lost city. Then we stopped at the limoncello factory for a quick taste before ending our day in Sorrento. Sorrento was a beautiful place to take pictures, grab a drink and do some shopping. If you plan to buy limoncello, it’s much less expensive in Sorrento than at the factory. Overall great day and our guide Ion made sure we enjoyed every minute of it.

This is a great tour and way to see the Amalfi Coast. The stop for limoncello is fun, everyone is very nice and sampling is a good opportunity. Lunch in Sorrento with time to shop and then onto Positano for the picturesque sites you’ve been waiting for. It is a must do day trip especially with limited time. I’d recommend it and go again. Kler and our driver Enrico were fabulous.

The tour guide was great. Gave insight as we made our way through the different areas. It was a beautiful view on the way up too.

Barbara was the absolute best by far guide I’ve ever been with. She was so knowledgeable about the history to present. The only negative thing I can say is about the small transfer bus was disgusting. The seats were wet from the rain coming through the roof and the exhaust fumes in the back were terrible. But other than that, it was great.

Our tour guide Sarah was fantastic. Seeing Monte Casino from the highway as we drove down to Pompeii was a nice surprise. The drive along the Almafi coast is very scenic and exciting. The tour is very good, but note it is a long day, we didn’t get back to Rome until about 9:30 pm.

Marrius was such a great tour guide he was extremely knowledgeable about everything so informative and interesting i learned so much .his humour and gentle ways were amazing such a lovely guy perfect trip with a perfect guide. Many thanks Marrius 😊

My wife and I had a wonderful day thanks to our wonderful guide Kler and our very skilful driver Paulo. Kler was a very informative, friendly and enthusiastic guide. Her instructions were very accurate. Despite the fact that we had a very wet day for our trip we still enjoyed ourselves thanks to Kler and Paolo.

Long day in uncomfortable bus. Advertising as wi fi on bus there was no WiFi. Poor lunch solution Would never do this tour again

Be well aware of how to get to the meeting point. The guide-Veronica was excellent, pleasant, informative and kind enough to ensure I was comfortable on the ride back after getting motion sick from all the twists and turns on the drive. Be prepared for a very long day for sure!! All in all a fun trip.

My partner and I had a wonderful time in this tour. Marius was an excellent tour guide, very personable, knowledgeable and made the day very easy going and fun. I would love to have him as a tour guide wherever I go. Our driver was also amazing at navigating us through the narrow mountain roads which was very much appreciated. Pompei was incredibly fascinating and I enjoyed having a guide walk us through there and really showing us the way of life during this time. Sorrento was beautiful and it was very enjoyable walking through the beautiful town. Definitely recommend if you’re looking to really explore Pompeii and Sorrento.

Bring very comfortable walking shoes. Plan to spend the entire day traveling. Our tour guide was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and definitely fun to be with. The weather was excellent and the view in Sorrento was beautiful.

Although the Almafi Coast is breathtaking the experience was not. We booked the Pompeii trip instead of Positano. The driver was horrible l. He had roadside fight with other drivers. When it was time to leave the told us be back 9:20pm it was 9:29 he started yelling and saying that's it im leaving and drove off we were like your leaving the tour guide who got off to look for the remaining guest whom he left 5 people stranded in Sorrento. I've never seen anything like this.

Pompei was incredible! Viviana our tour guide and Francesco our bus driver were awesome! Viviana was informative and very sweet. Our guide at the Pompei was Claudio, she was great! I wish we had more time to explore and at the gift shops. Sorrento was beautiful! All stops were great! Thank you so much for a wonderful day

An amazing day trip! We thought that it was great value for money. Our guide was Marius, he was fantastic. He gave us some great tips and information about the places that we were passing by in the coach. He was very funny! The guided tour of Pompei was amazing, could definitely return again to see more. Sorrento was beautiful. Just enough time there to do want we wanted to do. Marius even turned photographer when he took us to some beautiful view points. Marius made our trip even better! Excellent tour! Really enjoyed the guides and our driver. Very friendly and knowledgeable. If you have mobility issues it may be a problem to keep up as the terrain was a bit difficult for my friend, but well worth it.

We had a hard time finding the tour guide. We arrived 20 minutes earlier and waited in Piazza Popola in front the Leonardo D’Vinci museum (per instructions in Viator). But he was in another location. When we realized, someone called him and the bus was able to come back to get us. I have a suggestion: We should get the name of the tour company from Viator to be able to identify it. Otherwise, the guide was very nice and the tour was very interesting

This was a great trip. Flavio was well informed and really into the history of Rome. He did a great job keeping track of the whole crew. And seeing Pompeii was wonderful.

We had an amazing full-day trip to Pompeii and Sorrento! Viviana was our tour guide, and she was engaging and knowledgeable. Luca was our bus driver and extremely helpful. Leo was my Pompeii tour guide, and I learned so much that I would have never known just by visiting Pompeii. Sorrento was beautiful & the tastings of both limoncello & local olive oil and wine on the way back were great.

So many amazing things to see and learn about. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and wise. Quite a lot of walking and the weather was a little rainy but other than that really enjoyed it.

Our driver Fabrizio should be a stunt car driver with how he maneuvered that huge bus through traffic. Only small thing I will mention is if you have long legs the bus seats are really tight and you will be uncomfortable for the 4 hour ride there and back.

Our tour guide was so detailed and in point with our tour. I loved that bathroom breaks were thought of. It’s so hard to travel with out getting a break but this was so well thought out. I truly enjoyed it.

Excellent experience! Natasha was a wonderful guide and Fabrizio a very safe driver. Together they kept us on time and moving but also very entertained. The guides at Pompeii were knowledgeable and efficient.

The experience detail specifically said 2 hours at Pompeii and we never went there. That was the sole reason for booking this tour. We only had 1 hour and 20 minutes in Positano and barely had time to eat. The next stop was 1 hour and 30 minutes in Sorrento which was just shopping. Very disappointed.

The trip was well organized and was absolutely amazing. Errica was such a fantastic guide. She provided so much information on the history of the areas on the drive to Pompeii and even gave us the perfect time of when to take pictures from the bus. She gave us local recommendations from food to sightseeing. When we got to Sorrento, she even walked us to a terrace that gave an unimaginable view of the water and surrounding towns. The tour of Pompeii was better than I could have imagined also. Luka was also a great driver and got us around smoothly and safely. Highly recommend this tour!
