Pompeii, Amalfi And Your Choice Of Positano Or Sorrento From Rome

What a huge disappointment. Our guide at Pompei only showed us the most rudimentary things. We never saw any of the fabulous palazzo's, frescos or intricate mosaics. He started the tour late because of a screw up with the group tickets and then tried to cut it even shorter because he had another appointment to attend. We had to shame him into taking us to the famous brothels which he reluctantly rushed us through. Pompei was to be the highlight of our trip and instead turned into our biggest disappointment. A complete waste of time and money.

We had an amazing time! Our driver Marco managed to navigate all the small roads with ease and made sure we got to all our stops on time! And our tour guide Mary was fantastic, so knowledgeable with a fun and lighthearted personality that made the long day of exploring exciting at every stop!

Our tour guide Mari and our driver Mark Anthony were both excellent! Made the tour so much more enjoyable, they were very sweet and knowledgable, and went the extra mile to help our friend get to another location near Pompei! Would absolutely recommend

Very good / however the accessibility for this trip was not well explained in the description. There is very uneven ground in all locations, lots of steps and for anyone with even slight mobility issues you will need support.

Giuliano was our guide and was excellent. He had QR codes to help us with a Google map and recommendations for our free time in Sorrento along with fun trivia and information along the way. We had a great time!

Oscar was our tour guide and he was awesome - extremely knowledgeable and friendly! The trip itself was well planned and we got to see way more in a day than we would have been able to ourselves.

The time in the lemoncello factory wasn't worth the 20 minutes and was more a tourist trap, this time would be better spent in Sorrento itself as the 2 hours wasn't enough time to sightseeing, shop AND eat. Other than that, it was a good trip

We enjoyed our trip. Even though it rain we still had a chance to see few things. Our Pompeii trip was a bit short, but long enough to get some great photos. Craig, was friendly and pleasant guide. If you really want to go on this trip and have some walking issues it is still possible especially if you bring a walking stick/cane.

Airbun and Roberto were great tour guides. They complimented each other. Zoe ialthanks to Airbun ( I think I have spelt his name incorrectly) for his knowledge snd eisdom

Know what you are getting into. This is a long day with a lot of travel for a relatively short time at each location. However, if you only have a day to see these places from rome, it is a great option. I recommend bringing your own lunch with you so that you can spend your time exploring positano instead of sitting in a restaurant. I believe we only had a couple hours there.

This is a very long day but well worth it. My main goal was to get to Pompeii but the stop in Sorrento was nice. The information provided on the bus and at Pompeii was very good and really enhanced the tour.

Very good tour. The guide we had at Pompeii was exceptional. The “free time” at the other two locations was a bit limited. I understand that the Guide has to keep on schedule, but we ended up having more time than we needed at the restroom breaks/stores then we needed to make up for it. But very good overall.

It was a very good tour. It's an all day tour, but it is worth it. If you get a chance, do this tour. Great tour guides also a great driver that we had.

We had a wonderful experience on our trip to Positano and Pompeii, and the entire journey was made even better by our amazing team — Veronica, Marie, and Alfredo. Veronica, our guide in Pompeii, was extremely knowledgeable and did a fantastic job explaining the history and stories behind the ruins. Her explanations made the visit much more interesting and memorable. Marie accompanied us for Positano and throughout the journey to and from Rome. She was warm, cordial, helpful, and very knowledgeable. She made sure we were comfortable throughout the day and helped make the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. Alfredo, our driver, was excellent as well. He was professional, friendly, punctual, and drove very comfortably, making the long journey from Rome and back completely stress-free. All three were incredibly helpful, kind, and welcoming. Their professionalism and warm nature really added to our experience. We would happily recommend them to anyone planning a trip to Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast/Positano. Thank you, Veronica, Marie, and Alfredo, for making our day so special! ❤️

We enjoyed the tour, the weather was nice but very hot.

The tour was very nice. It was a very hot day but due to how the tour is scheduled, the hottest part of the day we spent doing lunch at beautiful Sorrento. Our tour guide Mario and driver Marcello made sure everything runs smoothly. Mario was very knowledgable and pleasant. The tour guide in Pompei Jean Luca was also amazing. The tour went by so fast, full of interesting information. I wish the tour guide in Sorrento gave more information about the city.

The original booking got cancelled but the Tour Guy got in touch with me and efficiently moved us to this tour. Surprisingly this was better than the hike given the heat. Tour was organized. Everything was in time and even finished early. Mario was insightful and tried to interact with the group individually.

Really fun experience with a lot of scenery across Italy near the Mediterranean. Loved the Limoncello stop along the way! Lovely staff throughout the entire journey.

It was great but felt rushed. Not his fault there is a lot of ground to cover

Lorenzo was a great guide and we had an amazing time! Also, we didn’t see much mentioned about it in other reviews, but you can swim! I was able to swim at positano for about 20-30 min before grabbing food and heading back to the vans. Had to rush a little to make it fit but it was worth it.

Mario, marco and the Pompeii guide were all knowledgeable. The entire tour was well organized, logical. The best part was Mario sharing about the best Roman foods and places to eat. How to not overpay for food but also be good.

We enjoyed our day trip from Rome to Sorrento and Pompeii. It was nice little stop to the Limoncello factory. Due to the very, sunny and humid weather, I wish we would've stopped at Pompeii first early in the morning when it was "cooler" part of the day then stop at Sorrento (or Positano depending which stop you booked). That way, we would be closer to the beach where it is a bit windier. Overall, it was a good day trip experience from Rome.

We had a wonderful day visiting Positano and Pompei! We were worried that the day would be too long, but it went by quickly and we really enjoyed our visits to both places. Marlena was an excellent and informative guide, sharing lots of information and stories throughout the day. And Antonio was a great driver navigating the winding roads. Would highly recommend this tour!

Booking through the tour guys was easy and had no issues. It had very clear instructions on how to get to the meet up point and easy to spot the person with the flag. Our guide for the day was Davide and he was great, engaging, lots of local stories and history (as he’s real day job is a history teacher). Over all, it was a great day. It’s a long day though, including bus ride, it was close to 12 hours (meet up at 7am and was back to Rome at around 7pm)

We had a great day trip visiting Positano and Pompeii, with stops for toilet break, coffee and food, and chocolate/limoncello tasting (can buy lemon slush instead for non alcoholic drink)! We drove through Naples (with views of Vesuvius), Meta (with great views of Sorrento), along the Amalfi coast (with views of Capri and Rooster islands). The driver (Marc) was a very competent driver. Our guide Paula was very entertaining and knowledgeable, and she took great care of us all, checking in with us all the time about the aircon and our needs, and imparting valuable history and knowledge about the region! Our guide at Pompeii (Michael) was also very entertaining and showed us some highlight spots with explanations on their history. Especially on a hot day such as in July that we went, the itinerary was just the perfect amount of activities and breaks! Would highly recommend for a quick one day coverage of the Amalfi coast and Pompeii!

Paula was an incredible guide and so knowledgeable about the region and its history. Every stop was spectacular, and the tour was well organized from start to finish. Pompeii was fascinating, Positano was absolutely beautiful, and the entire experience was 100% worth it. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Italy!

We had Paola as our guide and she was amazing. Although a long drive, she gave plenty of interesting info, which made the drive enjoyable. We had sufficient time in both Sorrento and Pompeii to explore. Would definitely recommend!!

Paula was fantastic and very informative! Such a fantastic day. It was guided for the most part and at our own pace for a good portion of the time.

The overall day trip was great, heat excluded. Our guide was fantastic, gave us a lot of information along the way, she is soft spoken, patient and clear. My only disappointment was Sasha the guide in Pompei, we could barely understand what he was saying, because he talked way too fast, when you add the accent then I would say I understood only 20% of what he said. He would quickly explain and move onto the next attraction without waiting for us, he wouldn’t ask us if we had any questions. When we had to leave the tour because my daughter wasn’t feeling good, he started badmouthing one of our tour-mates by criticizing him because he had a small carry-on luggage. I understand it was hot, but it was hot for everyone, all of our group left at the break.
