We had an amazing time at the vineyard. The guide was very personable and grew up right next to the winery so he had a lot of personal experiences to share with us. The pasta class was a lot of fun. We made three different types of pasta and then ate it for lunch with three different styles of sauce. It was served to us in a large family table. It with was delicious and a lot of fun to get to know the other 12 people in our class. This property was absolutely beautiful and a wonderful break from the city of Rome. We spent 10 days in Italy and we still say this was our favorate day of our trip.

Itinerary
We will have fun by cooking fresh Pasta from scratch in a unique context: my family's 17th century family-run wine farmhouse, located in Frascati's vineyards (only 24 minutes train ride from Rome!). We will also enjoy a guided Wine Tour of our vineyard and farmhouse (a sort of wine museum now, no modern winemaking there) and have a Wine tasting of our nr. 3 family Wines, along with the lunch that will include the pasta varieties prepared by you, the tasty appetizers and the local sweets! We will meet in Frascati station and we will go to my family farmhouse (only 5 minutes drive) to discover a special place.. Me and my family team, also made of a pro Chef, will teach you how to prepare nr.2 of the traditional pasta recipes, including “Ravioli” and “Fettuccine“, as well as some of the secrets of the local culinary tradition! I will also provide you with our Pasta recipes! At the end of the experience we will accompany you back in Frascati station, to go back to Roma Termini station!

This was the best day we had while visiting Rome. Communication was clear, pick up directions easy and the day exceeded our expectations. The day was fun and they included our 8 year old in everything. The location is beautiful, food was amazing and some nice surprises along the way. Highly recommend this!
This was one of the best tours we have ever been on. Highly recommended, great pasta making, great food and excellent wine tasting. Nick was such a great guide and the views were stunning at the vineyard!
Amazing experience. All the staff are super friendly. We had an awesome day seeing the vineyard, tasting the wine, learning how to cook pasta with the chef. She made it very simple and easy to follow. The chef then used our pasta to make us a delicious 3 course meal. The service to and from the train station is so good for those staying in Rome. Saves lots of cash on taxis. Frascati train station is really small so it’s easy to navigate.
Absolutely amazing experience. Could not fault it. The communication was excellent prior and allowed us a very easy 20 min transfer out of Rome to another world. I travelled solo but spent the day amongst new friends. Nico and Anna-Marie are two incredible people who make pasta making easy, wine tasting atmospheric and eating a delight. Add the experience of a serenade and opportunity to just enjoy a long lunch…one of my best excursions ever. Do it! Thanks Mindari. You have something very special here.
The pasta making class was so great! And our guide, Paula, was the best! The chef was also amazing! They were so good with our kids and the food was amazing. We also enjoyed interacting with the others in the class. I highly recommend Minardi Winery’s wine and classes!
My partner and I booked the pasta masterclass and wine tasting/tour together with family. We were picked up from the train station and everyone was so friendly. The vineyard and farmhouse were beautiful and the pasta making was such fun and the chef was a good laugh. We all had a great time and was so much more than I could have expected. Eating our own freshly made pasta and drinking the vineyards wine in front of the vineyard and beautiful surroundings. I would highly recommend to others.
I couldn’t have dreamed our time at Minardi Vineyard any better. It was a beautiful experience for my husband and myself. The setting was lovely and our host Nico was friendly and relaxed which made our visit feel more like visiting old friends. The pasta making was such fun and of course the results were delicious, as were the wines.
We had an amazing day! The people were fabulous to be around. Learned a lot. I highly recommend!
We had the most authentic and fun pasta-making and wine tasting experience—easily the highlight of our trip! What truly made this experience special was the interaction with the family who owns and runs the vineyard. Their warmth, passion, singing and stories brought everything to life and made us feel like part of something truly special. If you’re looking for an unforgettable, genuine experience, this is an absolute must! 🍝🍷
The tour started with our guide, Nico, picking us up in Frascati train station. Then we got into the farm house and He gave us information about how wine is made. It was very informative and concise. We made pasta from scratch, did wine tasting, vineyard tour, had a wonderful meal and music. Overall the experience was excellent. My husband and I loved our tour, and the fact that the other people on our group and the host and hostess were considerate of our baby, was really amazing. Welcoming, informative and great experience. 11/10 would recommend!
A winery/vineyard in name only and a fun experience making pasta. There's no doubt that this property was once a working winery, but not so today. If you're looking for a wine experience (FYI, they only make two and not on site), and to indulge in something beyond stereotypes, then perhaps look elsewhere. To be fair, though, this place was fun. Just don't think about it too much. Take the time to wander around central Frascati afterward.
Wow! If you can squeeze this in while in Rome, do it!!! The entire experience was wonderful. From the simple train ride to the pasta making, the winery history and then eating the fruits of our labor made for a perfect day!
We had the BEST time!! Such an amazing family. I highly recommend!! The pasta and wine was delicious!
This is a must book! Not only for the experience, but because it’s so homey and started our trip off on the right foot. Everyone there is warm and welcoming, you feel like family. Nico was our tour guide and was outstanding! You won’t be disappointed. Book the tour!
The class was fun and interactive. Chef Mimi kept everyone engaged and gave us a few lessons in speaking Italian. Overall I enjoyed the class and would definitely do it again.
What an amazing experience! My girlfriend (now fiancée) and I woke up the morning of our tour and were so tired, we debated just staying in bed and not going. So glad we did. The vineyard, garden, building, the view, the people were all so incredible. A very nice refresher from the hustle-bustle of Rome. The host, Nico, is such an awesome guy. Knowledgeable and entertaining. He even helped to arrange my proposal to my fiancée. Very special. I can’t express enough how much we enjoyed this experience.
A great experience! Easy to book, host picked up from station. Great lesson in pasta making followed by tastings and talk on winery and an excellent lunch. Beautiful location with views across Rome. Staff friendly and a great atmosphere for both lesson and lunch with live music from hosts.
We were met by tour guide. Short ride from station. Very informative guide and fun person. Cooking lesson fun, nice wine tasting in the garden, owner gave us information whilst we were looking at vines. Pleasant time was had by all
Everyone was super friendly, especially Michelle, and we absolutely loved the pasta making. The wine and lunch were excellent. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.
This was an amazing, memorable day for our family of 5!! Minardi exceeded every expectation and went above and beyond in teaching us to make pastas, drinking their delicious wines and enjoying the chef, the live music (including chefs) and the beautiful views. This is an easy trip from Rome and it will be the highlight of your vacation!!
This experience was the highlight of our entire European vacation. From the moment we arrived at the farmhouse until we returned to Rome at the end of the day, the Minardi family was warm, inviting, and ensured that everything was absolutely perfect. The pasta-making class, wine tasting, and vineyard tour were all informative and fun for our entire family. Lunch was delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed the authentic family style meal during which we had the opportunity to meet and share time with a lovely group of people from all over the world. After lunch we were treated to some great live music and dancing with the entire group. We had such a great time that we extended our time in Frascati for drinks with some new friends before boarding the train back to Rome. We would absolutely count this as a must-do for anyone interested in an experience in one of the most beautiful and stunning settings outside of the city limits!
We had a great time at the master class. We were picked up from the station my Michelle, it was very easy to follow the joining instructions. We started the class with a pile of flour and an egg, we used a nonna’s recipe to make the pasta. The staff were great fun, after finishing the pasta making we stepped into the vineyard for a wine tasting lesson amongst the spectacular views. The meal was lovely, hand made by us and we even managed to get some impromptu music and dancing going in the farm house. We have never been on such a fun tour. We had the best day there.
Unexpectedly one of my favorite days ever. This is authentic, family run, with the upmost professionalism and all of the humor and laughs. I was traveling solo and left with many new friends. That experience was nothing short of pure joy to connect with the history of the vineyard and the country as well as the people around me at the excursion. Thank you so much to the hosts!
Nico, the guide was great. Beautiful place, calm and breathtaking views. Fun pastaclass and good wine! Would absolutely recommend!
A lovely relaxing experience. Picked up on time from the train station by the wonderful Michele - her hospitality, sommelier advice, and translation was perfect in the summer sunshine. Anna Maria, the exuberant chef kept us all on our toes and made sure I had no eggshell in my dough to avoid “crunchy” pasta. This was not just a cooking class - Umberto the owner/winegrower was on hand to give us an ancient pre-Roman history lesson in the vineyard and show off the beautiful views from the hill and his cool cave. We enjoyed our hard earned lunch - the product of our labours, and got to make new friends! We had a short time back in Frascati to grab a gelato and un cafe to soak up the wine before a short nap on the train back to Rome ready for the evening. Thanks Minardi!
A truly magnificent experience! Nico was a lovely guide and translator, and his wealth of knowledge about the property and the wine was unparalleled. He was incredibly kind and warm. Anna was our lovely teacher for making pasta - she was patient and detailed with her instruction. We learned so much! We learned how to make 3 different pastas, did a beautiful tour of the winery (which has unmatched views of Rome), and then settled in for a beautiful lunch that was prepared by Anna from the pasta we had made earlier. I cannot speak highly enough of this experience- no stone is left unturned and you truly feel like a part of their family for the 4 hour experience. A short 25 minute easy train ride from Termini station - a world away from the bustle of the city. This is a can’t miss experience, and I can’t wait to return. Brava!
Nico was an amazing host, and Anna was an amazing chef and teacher. It was the highlight of our trip. We laughed, got to know the other class members, and drank good wine. Highly recommend.
We had the best time with Paola!! She was an amazing host and the Minardi vineyard was beautiful. Highly recommend this tour! We loved it and would certainly do it again. It was an amazing day!
We had Nicolo as our guide and Anna as our chef. this was 100% worth it, they wine and dine you like your family. The class is fun and the property is stunning. The wine is the best wine we’ve ever had and we would do it all other again. I cannot recommend this enough.
Everything about the pasta making and wine tasting experience was fabulous - our host Nico and the other staff, the food, the wine, the class, the beautiful location and the sing-a-long after lunch!! Really well organised with easy pick up in Frascati. We all loved every minute of it and can’t recommend it highly enough!
Such a great experience!! The pasta making was really fun and our tour guide, Nicola, was awesome! This was an amazing excursion during our vacation in Rome
Absolutely wonderful!!! Nico and the staff at Minardi Vineyard were informative, responsive to our questions and fun!! Food was amazing and wine is delicious. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would!!!
The entire experience was fantastic! It was structured well with a great itinerary while still allowing the freedom to chat openly with the other guests! Our Guide for the day was Nichol, a very friendly and knowledgeable man. We enjoyed his insight on the wine selections and his humorous charm. The pasta Chef was incredible, she demonstrated her pasta making techniques perfectly and was very helpful and encouraging. The pasta tasted GREAT! The vineyard is lovely and impressive, a must see while on your vacation. The wine that was served is made right there on the vineyard and was delicious. The busy streets of Rome can be overwhelming, I highly encourage signing up for this experience to unwind, laugh, drink, and enjoy the private and quiet atmosphere. Bravo!
Wine tasting & pasta making experience in a perfect picturesque family run vineyard. Greeted with fresh figs to taste and set just like many years before modern times. Learned what creates different components of body flavor and notes wine made. Tasting was family feel just like a Sunday in Italy. Pasta class simple and fun. Taste what you created paired with their olive oil, wine, and jam. Tour the vineyard and great view overlooking city of Rome. The fantastic experience ended with live Italian folk music. Made friends and lasting memories. 🍾🍜🥂🇮🇹
This family winery experience is the best I have had in all of Italy! This was suggested to me by an American friend and I am in her debt! The pasta class was so great- the people and learning about the region and wines- so great!
AMAZING experience!! Michelle and Maria did a bravo job teaching us the ins and outs of traditional pasta making. Alfredo did a great job of communicating clear instructions of how to travel from Rome to the villa. The history, knowledge, and experience was beyond what we expected. This tour was a highlight of our trip and the pasta tasted WONDERFUL! I can’t recommend this tour enough!
The minardi family was very welcoming, warm and friendly. The chef made the process of making pasta so easy and fun! The food was very delicious and the family even serenaded us with Italian and English classic songs at the end of the meal. In addition to cooking us the pasta that we made previously, they gave us a wonderful starting plate as well as samples of their cheese, olive oil, jam and truffle honey. 100% recommend!
Absolutely fantastic experience, it was the highlight to our trip to Rome and I would recommend to anyone. We were picked up from Frascati but Nicolo our wonderful, informative guide. We were taken to the vineyard and had a short drink with fresh figs. Anna ran our pasta making course which was really fun and light-hearted. We then had a tour of the vineyard, learnt about the history of the production, followed by wine and oil tasting. We finished the day with a 3 course meal including the pasta we had made that day, plus more wine. We were so relaxed and felt like we had been invited into someone's home. Wouldn't hesitate to return. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
If you are traveling to Italy, Minardi winery in Frascati is a must do! I don’t often write reviews but this place needs to be in the spotlight! From start to finish it’s incredible! Alfredo went out of his way to accommodate us in our travels. Nicolo was sweet and welcoming. Paola stole the show of our vacation! Her knowledge in the industry is vast. She kept us laughing the entire time! Our group was amazing and from the moment you arrive, you feel like family. We booked the pasta making class. When we arrived at this beautiful vineyard, we were brought inside to start learning the art of pasta. We learned the dos and don’ts to creating the perfect dish! Once you are finished making the pasta the amazing chefs take over in the cooking process while you sip memorable wines outside with breathtaking views. Once lunch is ready we all sat around the table enjoying mouthwatering pasta, cheese, honey, wine and stories. They ended dinner with music and singing bringing all of us together once more. Before we knew it, it was time to leave. I would do this experience 100 more times!
Great time. Great class, entire staff seem to enjoy having guest, nice tour, great food and sing a long atvthe end. High recommended,
Really enjoyed the whole experience! Wine was great and the pasta lunch was fantastic. Would totally do this tour again
We ABSOLUTELY loved this experience! We started out by going to the wrong train station for the meet up and Alfredo sent a taxi to get us and bring us to the group at the correct place! Such amazing hospitality was shown from the start. Nico was an AMAZING guide, personable and knowledgeable and just super engaging! The people at the vineyard are obviously proud of what they do and they love sharing that with people. The cooking class was SO MUCH FUN, and I now feel confident I can go home and make homemade pasta! The grounds are stunning, we got lots of pictures and got to taste the vineyard’s prized wines and olive oil. Once we made our pasta the chefs turned it all into a delicious lunch! 10/10 and I would return again to see these beautiful people when I’m back in town.
The location and wine was perfecto, and Pedro made making pasta so much fun. We will all be making pasta regularly when we go home. Michelle was an excellent host, and the owners musical entertainment at the end was a pleasant surprise. We would highly recommend for anyone to do this experience.
Highly recommended. Great hosts. Great food. Great learning. Up to you 100 minimum characters. Not sure what else to add. :)
This is a simply wonderful experience. Who knew making pasta from scratch was so accessible? The train ride from Termini is cheap as chips with lots of lovely views (look out for the aqueduct park - well worth a visit in its own right), the views at the winery are stunning and the buildings are amazing. Fabrizio the chef really knows his stuff and it was fun having him speak Italian (although his English is way better than my Italian) while Luca translated. The wines are lovely and it was great to be able to sit outside in the sun and enjoy them with a bit of bread and cheese. Lunch was the pasta we'd made topped with Fabrizio's sauces with lots of Minardi wine and we then gatecrashed a party of young Americans on what I believe they call a bachelorette party! That was at Alfredo's insistence by the way, we'd never have been so bold :) Alfredo's a pretty fine guitarist so we all had a sing song with our American friends then it was time to go. We had a couple of beers in Frascati waiting for the train back to Rome and enjoyed the views from a bar we'd patronised a couple of years previously. Everyone in our party of eight thoroughly enjoyed the experience and we'd do it again in a heartbeat.
WOW! Stunning location owned by a very welcoming family, especially Alfredo. Well organised transport and instructions to get there. Fun and interesting pasta making with Fabizio plus lovely lunch (and amazing wines). Their olive oil is to die for. And Paola is simply hilarious. We could've easily stayed longer and it was my favourite day out in Italy.
What an amazing experience this was. One of the best in our life. First of all, we had a wonderful tour leader who greated us at the train station together with one of the owners of the Vineyard. The actual pasta experience with the cheft, was top notch. We did indeed learn how to do 3 types of pasta, which was amazing and ate a big meal afterwards. It was worth it and I fully recommend it to anyone wanting to go out abit from Rome, just a 30min ride by train. Keep it up guys!
This was one of the highlights of my experience in Italy! The staff was very accommodating, and informative, and gave a great wine-tasting/pasta-making experience! I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to visit a winery close to Rome.
100% recommendable. very kind people with good knowledge about wines and history. the food pairing was a perfect combination. ah! and before I forget the Food was freshly made.
