The tour was just as described- the bikes were so easy to use, our guide was great and very knowledgeable, and we saw Rome from a whole different viewpoint!
We’d booked a panoramic tour and were offered an alternative when there weren’t enough people on our route. We were glad we went. Nima was knowledgeable and fun and we felt well-briefed and safe. We saw so much more of the city than we would have done on foot and yet the pace was relaxed and we didn’t feel rushed. There was even time for ice cream. One tip: we wouldn’t recommend this for peak season. Even in November, it was as crowded as we would have wanted to experience by bike. But for this weekend? Just great!
Amazing and fun tour. Our guide, Klass, was very fun, enthusiastic, and informative. While the activity level is “easy” you still are biking and moving your legs for 4 hours so while the e-bikes do most of the hard work you still need to be able to manage riding a bike for a lengthy period of time. It can also be a rough (bumpy)ride getting through the small cobblestone of Rome. That being said, seeing Rome on bike was amazing. We did the Panasonic tour of Rome and the views we got to see were spectacular. We would not have been able to see the back roads and streets we travelled had we been in a car. And being on an e-bike sure beat walking! Loved the tour!

This trip is well worth it. The views are amazing, you get all round the city via some busy roads but also narrow streets. Riding on the roads is an experience but definitely worth doing. Our guide, Simone, was brilliant. Lots of information and history but not overwhelming. Time for a coffee stop in the park before getting on it. If you do one trip in Rome, this one should be it
A fantastic, small-group bike tour to see the hidden gems of Rome. We were so glad we had booked this particular tour—everyone at TopBike was great, from the office folks to our knowlegeable and friendly tour guide, and we appreciated that this longer tour allowed us to roam beyond the usual tourist sites in the city center. We did stop at the Vatican and Colosseum, but also explored neighborhoods across the Tiber River, crossed the Bridge of Angels, visited an orange grove, learned all kinds of interesting history about Rome, and visited an amazing overlook of the Forum at sunset—plus much more. If you’re comfortable on a bike (the tour does go on some cobblestone streets and in areas with pedestrians) and seeking some adventure /a unique tour experience, this is a good choice. We did ride up a lot of hills, but the e-bikes made that easy, and our daughter (19) loved the tour as well. Our guide was great. Highly recommended.
Fabio was a knowledgeable guide; passionate about Roman history. The ride was magical, taking in beautiful vistas from around the city. We had a fantastic time. Lots of cobblestones. A few alleyways where pedestrian-dodging was necessary.

Tour was exactly what we wanted. Plenty of vistas for pics. Lots of sights that aren’t necessarily mainstream mixed with some big ones. Fabio, our guide was super knowledgeable about ALL things Italy. He was courteous and safe as well. Do yourself a favor and pick Fabio’s brain about everything, he was fantastic! Most of Rome’s big sites and squares are easily accessible by foot. This tour is a wonderful way to start your trip and get you great pictures and insight. Slightly off the beaten path but not too far. You get a wonderful overall feel for the entire city. The gelato in Trastevere was the best (and we tried plenty). The view of the Colosseum at the end is gorgeous. This tour was my family’s favorite part of the trip. Perfecto!
This was the highlight of our stay in Rome. Klaus was the the perfect guide, friendly, knowledgeable and quick to think. Our tour started out cloudy but then rained and hailed and fortunately ended with magnificent sunsets of the city. Our guide took us to hidden gems to find shelter,entertained us with fascinating stories and we ended up with the stunning city photos of our trip. The bikes were easy to ride and climbing the hills was a breeze.

The tour we scheduled didn’t have enough participants so we were ask to join another with the appropriate refund in cost difference. They were very accommodating to our schedule as we ventured to Rome on our own from a cruise ship docked in Civitavecchia. There were six on the tour with a guide who was excellent. During the 4 hour ride we visited all of the sites listed in the description. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the city’s history. She was able to explain what we were seeing and how it looked centuries ago. The e-bikes were well maintained and easy to ride. Definitely the way to get around. If we could give a rating of 6/5 stars we would.
This was a true highlight for my trip to Rome. Saw all of the major sites and had a blast. The guide, Catalina, was so much fun and nice. The tour was fairly priced and didn’t charge more than advertised as a solo traveler like some of the other tours I found. She also took us to some special spots for views away from other tourists. Highly recommend this tour and company!
Our tour could have been cancelled due to only 2 booked in the group, we had limited time in Rome so no other option suited, TopBike Rentals kindly facilitated us without us asking, so THANK YOU. Rik is an excellent guide, so knowledgeable of the history of Rome throughout the centuries, it was so interactive which was great. The time flew by, the bikes were great. It is not our first time using TopBike rentals and wont be the last time either. Would highly recommend them.
My wife, 23-year old daughter, and I had a fantastic time on this bike tour! We visited the major sites, but also several hidden gems that we had not known about before. The e-bikes were great in the hilly topography of Rome - particularly in June. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and safety conscious. This was my husband's and my 1st time on eBikes and loved them! They're a MUST for exploring several hills of Rome. I booked this tour because I wanted to avoid biking around the popular historic sites. (They have so many tourists milling around, it's difficult to keep up with tour guides as they weave in/out of the crowds. And if the bikes need to be walked through the crowds, then what's the point of a BIKE tour?) This route takes you to relevant sites that are difficult to reach on foot or by Metro and gets you to hilltops for great views. Four hours may seem too long, but there are several opportunities for 10 minute breaks to explore some areas on your own. Our tour guide was Catherina (sp?). She was very knowledgeable about the sites using maps and books to paint a vivid picture of what Rome used to look like. She was also a passionate and an animated speaker which made it easy to listen to her talk. Information is only provided when the group is stopped allowing everyone to hear what's being said. (I've been on bike tours when tour guides point at and talks about landmarks while biking, so only the 1st 2 bikers hear what's said.) I was also impressed with her command of the roads, stopping cars allowing her group to safely cross busy roads. Great tour, great guide - I highly recommend this tour!
First time on an electric bike and loved them! So easy to ride and made any hills a piece of cake! Great company with thousands of bikes to hire - all excellent quality and well maintained. Our guide Elena was excellent! She was fun and interesting and great at stopping traffic! The Appian way tour was fascinating and was away from the usual tourist spots and took you to places that you wouldn't usually see so I would highly recommend this tour to anyone!
The tour we took was fantastic! Five people plus our guide made for the perfect small group. I was initially worried about riding through traffic and pedestrians since I am not a regular bike rider but it was very easy and comfortable. Our guide was very good at navigating us through the different areas in a way that made the whole group feel comfortable. He also had a lot of knowledge that he shared with us at each stop. The use of e-bikes made for an easy ride, instead of huffing and puffing up a hill we could pedal leisurely and take in the views! It's a great way to get a lay of the land if you are new to Rome, but even if you have been to Rome before I guarantee this will have you seeing some new things.
This was our first visit to Rome and we wanted to gain an early impression of the wider city scape from the surrounding hills of the city. Although we enjoy cycling, we are not regular cyclists. This tour was perfect. With our excellent guide Alessandra whose well chosen itinerary and friendly, informative guiding manner plus good quality eBikes all made for a very enjoyable half day outing. The roman 4hr trip on e-bike was amazing experience for me and my wife. The itinerary selected by TopBikeRental&Tourism was great. It was comprehensive and well explained by our guide Fabio. I would recommend it as must do for those who want to visit all the important places in Rome in one day without changing mode of transport. Bikes will go directly in the alleys and are easy to navigate.
We had booked this tour before we left home (Australia) as we only had a few days in Rome and thought this would give us a good overview of the city. We weren't disappointed. We were fortunate enough to have a tour booked with only one other couple - and TopBike still ran the tour! We had a very informative and friendly guide who took us around to many excellent viewing sights. The E bikes were amazing and very easy to ride, thanks partly to the design of these bikes and the well maintained condition, Very much enjoyed our experience and would highly recommend TopBike for any of the tours of Rome they run.
This was the highlight of our 5 day trip to Rome. You’ll see the city from so many different sites, covering about 14kms without even realising it with the great electric bikes. Costs about £50 per person and lasts 4hours. Customer service was excellent from the guys at the front desk to the mechanics providing you with the bikes and our guide was very professional, courteous, friendly and so informative. This has got to be on your list of things to do when in Rome. Considering how ridiculously expensive Rome is and the general poor quality of service you get this company is a diamond in the rough and provides great value for money.
We were provided with e-bikes because the city temperature was still >30C! Very nice gesture as we reserved regular bicycles. This made the already awesome tour even more enjoyable. Our guide was very knowledgeable, kind and showed us the spectacular ‘must see’ places at an excellent pace. Really worthy of a recommendation!

If you are looking for a great bike tour in and around Rome this is the place to be! The company offers all kind of tours for young and old. The experienced (and Dutch speaking) guide Anouk took us on very well equipped E-bikes around the city of Rome. We took the 4.5 hour “Rome views” tour since this tour covers some places that are “harder to reach” on foot and we can highly recommend this tour. The E-bikes are a must since you will be crossing the hills of Rome. The E-bikes cost a little more but they are worth it, you won’t have any problems going uphill! We had several stops at stunning views and the guide gave us very good and clear information about the places and views we stopped at. We would use this company again for our next bike ride in Rome!
