My wife booked the day through Viator and we knew that the only service .provided was a driver. However, our driver was Giuliano and he was a patient gentleman and provided us with a wonderful day. Giuliano works for Best Rome Driver and the vehicle was new and clean plus comfortable. He first took us to the walled city of Olivia di Bagnoregio as he knew that the walk could be strenuous in the afternoon heat. All of Italy was experiencing a heat wave during our two weeks there. Yes, the walk up to the city can be a little strenuous but most people in decent health can endure it. The cool morning breezes were still blowing as we started across the bridge to the city. Giuliano showed us where to pay for the bridge crossing then proceeded to be our personal photographer for several beautiful pictures. We agreed to text him when we’re done visiting Civita di Bagnoregio and it worked out just fine. After we returned to the parking lot, Giuliano had the vehicle waiting for us and the AC felt great since it was starting to warm up. We then drove off to Orvieto but Giuliano made a couple of stops along the way at certain viewpoints for pictures from our personal photographer:) We asked Giuliano for a recommendation for lunch in Orvieto and he made a wonderful suggestion then followed it up by making a reservation for us. He delivered us right on time (I will not mention the name of the restaurant but it was outstanding) for our lunch. After lunch we did some sight seeing and shopping, then we texted Giuliano for our return ride to Rome. Giuliano returned us at the time we requested to be returned since we had a dinner reservation in Rome. It was a wonderful day and Giuliano helped make our day wonderful.
Trip to Civita and Orvieto, a must for architecture history lovers and romantics. Our guide and driver Alex prearranged an early arrival to avoid the summer heat on our walk to Civita. He arrived on time with breakfast pastry, extra cold water and excellent air-conditioning. We had Civita almost to ourselves. Orvieto included felixible time shopping, seeing the cathedral and landmarks, with time for lunch. We enjoyed both cities, far away from larger crowds and the very smooth drive through the country roads, returning to our hotel on time. Alex was a wonderful driver and host.

H ad a really great day trip to Orvieto and Civita today! Our driver Alex Paolini is super nice. He suggested us to set off a bit earlier to avoid the hot sun and traffic jam, which was a very smart move! He also introduced a very good restaurant to us (Ristorante Maurizio) and even helped us to book a table in advance. His car is very spacious and comfortable. It’s so sweet that he provided bottled water for us in this super hot weather. Overall, we are highly satisfied with the trip today. If you need a driver, definitely look for Alex. Highly recommended! 👍🏻

We were lucky to have Alex Paolini take is from Rome to Civita Bagniregio and then to Orvieto. We had wanted a fun break from Rome and this tour was perfect for a change of pace. Alex was a careful driver with a new Mercedes van and we rode in safety and comfort! He was very attentive and flexible with our tour—pointing out a lot of things and telling us a lot of interesting facts. He gave us time to fully enjoy the places we visited. We had a great day trip visit from Rome to Orvieto and Civita di Bagnoregio with Alex Paolini. Alex was helpful, the day prior, to customize our pick up time so we would minimize traffic and crowds and maximize time for us to wander and see all the sights! We really enjoyed the quaint city of Civita Di Bagnoregio; many options to snap some great pics. It is like a fairy tale. Orvieto is also wonderful and Alex helped us get settled with an underground tour❤️. Alex is thoughtful and exteenwly helpful. Highly recommend the day tour.
We had a great day exploring Orvieto / Civita di Bagnoregio. Both places were beautiful and definitely worth seeing. This was a great way to get to see them from Rome. Stefano was a great driver, easy to communicate with, and gave us plenty of time to explore. We'd definitely go back to Orvieto especially, since there's a lot to see there.
We had a great day with Stefano at Civita Bagnoregio and Orvieto. Civita is a stunning site from the bridge and an interesting walk within the town. We had been to Orvieto before, and Stefano found us a restaurant that allowed us to explore the Underground after lunch - something we had not done before. Both sites are beautiful and the driver made it painless!
We ordered a luxury van for our family of 7 including 2 young children and 3 grandparents. The van was a Mercedes in excellent condition and very comfortable. Our driver Alex Paolini was very gracious and got us to our destinations smoothly. First we went to Sacro Bosco in Bomarzo and then to Orvieto. From start to finish at our apartment in Rome, the experience was flawless.

Spent the day coming from Rome, driver Stefano was great and knowledgeable in the area. Stefano gave us great place to eat in Orvieto and we got to goto underground tunnels. This tour was breathtaking scenery during our drive. I highly recommend Stefano and this day tour to the dying city and Orvieto.

This tour takes you to two places that will stay in your imagination for a long time: Civita de Bagnoregio and Orvieto. The drive alone through the Umbrian countryside will be inspiring. Civita, the floating city, will take your breath away at first sight, as will the massive glowing Duomo of Orvietto. My guide/driver, Paolo, was wonderful. I cannot imagine a better gentleman to have for the excursion.

We booked a private van for 3 days: Day 1: Orvieto & Bagnoregio day trip Day 2: Holy Doors visit, Colosseum photo stop Day 3: Supposed to be going to Castel Gandolfo & Castello Romano outlet but we changed it last minute into Appian Way & St Peter's Basilica Our driver was Giuliano. He was very polite, well dressed (wear suits!), very calm in driving (never met a calm Italian driver before hahaha), very informative and helpful. We are very happy with his service. Definitely will recommend Best Rome Driver esp Giuliano for your private transport needs in Italy!

Alex was punctual in picking us up early and even had donuts to start our day. He made sure we were comfortable and had water and a charging source for our phones. What I especially enjoyed was talking with Alex throughout the day, his English is very good and he enjoys cooking and travel which is something my wife and I enjoy also. He made the entire experience a pleasure and I would love to do a tour with him again.
Our driver Alessandro/alex was the best! Right from the start his van was clean.. he even had waters and a surprise donuts waiting for us!! How thoughtful as we left the ship very early..and offered us waters all through out the day. As well as toilet stops. We loved both our stops Civita Di Bagnoregio and Orvieto .. Alex was very knowledgeable with both areas and even gave us recipes, lol As a travel advisor I would highly recommend getting a private driver, yes you pay a little more but being totally in charge of your time is worth every penny.. Alex let us lead the times so we felt taken care of and did all we wanted to do in both places. Alessandro and Best Rome Driver are a 10+ for me!!
Had a relaxing day visiting these sites. Our driver picked us up and was extremely nice and accommodating. Bear in mind, the walk to and from Bagnoregio is not a walk in the park. It is doable but going up hill and down hill left us breathless so take your time and wear good shoes. Our guide then took us to Orvieto. We took his advice on a restaurant and it has been our favorite meal the whole trip. All in all we had a great day and was nice to get out of the crowds of Rome.
Paolo, our driver, picked us up from our hotel in Rome. He arranged a full day tour of the Dying City along with the well and Etruscan underground. He then picked the restaurant for us. Incredible choice. He is a wonderful driver and is very knowledgeable. Explained everything to us while we were en route. Dropped us off before the bus loads arrived so that we had a better experience. He handled everything. I would highly recommend him.
