We took this tour in 2024 and it was amazing! We were excited to share with our family of 6 adults in 2026. This year was not the same...our guide was not engaging and we did not really learn anything. However, the coordination and transportation were spot on. The dinner location and gelato were TOP NOTCH!!!

We booked this same tour in 2024 and it was AMAZING. We were excited to share the experience with our adult children. This experience was a true disappointment. The dinner and gelato were top notch, but our guide did not provide us any commentary of the city or what we were seeing. We came away with tons of knowledge in 2024 and this year we learning nothing. I understand the guides are different each time, but for the price, I really expected more. Additionally, I have recommended this tour to 5 different friends going to Italy. After this experience, I will NOT be doing that moving forward.
Alex took us to all the great sites including hotel pickup a d drop-off. He provided an excellent local dining experience at "Conso" (which we would rate 5 stars in itself). Finished with deluxe gelato at La Romana Gelati.
This tour was a great introduction to Rome. Giovanni was a pleasure. Very helpful and knowledgeable and the pizza/pasta and Gelato were a perfect end to the evening. Highly recommend.
Night tour of Rome with local pizza dinner and Gelato experience. The illuminated Colosseum, the Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain look very different from the day before. The atmosphere of the night was very lively. The pizza at the local restaurant was very tasty and I also enjoyed the Gelato at the end. The guide explained the information in a simple way and the whole tour was conducted beautifully. It would be nice to have a few more minutes in some places. All in all, it's a great trip to enjoy the night of Rome.
Honestly, it was overpriced. The driver would just drop us off and then we have to tour ourselves. It wasn’t like the reviews I’ve seen on here before the food was good but everything else I wish was better. You might as well tour everything yourself.
Food and Gelato was amazing. Was t much of tour just drove around in circles but overall met some great people would definitely recommend for a laid back fun evening.
What can I say - Luigi ( our tour guide) gave us a gem of an evening! Food was exceptional. Then we drove to many locations ( Trevi fountain, Spanish steps .. ) where our had time to explore while Luigi waited for us back at the van. This 3 hour tour was 4 hours that’s to Luigi , our tour guide, helping us explore this beautiful city at our pace. Such a special night! Highly highly recommend! Seeing the city at night is super fun. And I hope you get Luigi for your tour guide - if so a fantastic night awaits you!
We truly enjoyed our night tour! Luigi was a fantastic guide - knowledgable, accommodating and he went out of his way to make sure our tour was wonderful! We booked a group tour but it turned out to be just the two of us! Such a beautiful way to experience Rome at night! Our dinner was delicious and the gelato at the end of the night was a perfect way to finish the tour! Kevin was a great driver and we enjoyed their company! The pick up and drop off at our apartment was easy and stress- free! We would recommend this tour!
This was supposed to be a 4 hour tour but we waited close to 3 hours to get our food at Conso Pizza e Cucina which was across from Circus Massimo. There was a concert ongoing with thousands in attendance. They were taking walk-ins and we watched table after table come in and order, get fed, and leave before we even got water. Night Tour had reservations for us. We felt sorry for the guide, Pinot, who had made a huge effort to get the serving staff to wait on us. After we finally got food, we had only a few minutes left to get gelato. The Gelateria gave us a limited menu with only 6 items to choose from...all of this after paying $706 for 3 adults. Our tour which lasted about 15 minutes was only of the Spanish steps. We taken back to our hotel and dropped off. That was it. We could have walked next door to our hotel and gotten pizza, pasta, and gelato that was likely better for under $100. The food at Conso was not very good ...what a terrible experience. I called Night Tour after we got home to ask for some kind of a refund. I was told that they would voucher us for a future tour if we're ever back in Italy. The reviews on this tour were really good too. Best advice....don't let them take you to a restaurant near the C.Massimo when there is a concert. Best to do a Food Tour in Trasteverde that is more comprehensive and less money.
Driver was polite, informative and an excellent driver. He gave our group just the right amount of time for each spot including dinner.
Our guide was very nice and knowledgeable. The van was nice and comfortable. Tour should start later. We didn’t see the Colosseum at night and the Trevi fountain was super busy still. We enjoyed it but not sure it was worth the price.
Did not enjoy, the guide was not very helpful or pleasant. He did not cover the entire attractions, we covered only 3 attractions and missed main attractions like Travis fountain and Spanish steps!… He was rushing us at every place and finally gave us choice saying it was already 9:15pm and where we would like to get dropped? Travis fountain or hotel! Such a bad experience!
A great experience. Our driver dropped us near to multiple sights, always easy to access. No pressure on making it back quickly, although we tried not to linger too long because we had a lot of ground to cover. The dinner was in a tiny quaint spot. Voice of pizza or pasta with a bruschetta starter. Gelato stop at the end. Picked up at our hotel, which was a plus. Our driver, Maurice, was professional, polite and fun! Well done, Maurice!
Pricey but worth it. Seeing monuments lit up at night hits differently! Good food, great driver, wonderful ecperiencey
It was great seeing Rome at night. Our driver was very knowledgeable and showed us some great sites and provided information about them. We really enjoyed it
Gisseppi was wonderful. He was extremely knowledgeable and very considerate of everyone on the tour.
This was a relaxing evening with a few other travelers to see a few sights un Rome in the evening light. We enjoyed this on our first evening in Rome
Wow what an experience. Our driver Flavior I think sorry for spelling. Was a great guy. There was just the 3 of us on this private tour. He was very knowledgable & when we stopped off he was not in any rush so we could take our time to look & take photos. Highly recommend the tour if you have never been to Rome
It’s a part drive and park walk tour and was a great way to catch an overview of Rome with a wonderful dinner and later gelato include. Our guide was really nice and informative. Very courteous and thoughtful. I would recommend.
The whole adventure was great. The weather was cool, and seeing everything lit up was awesome. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Dinner was amazing.
We were lucky to have an older gentleman, Giuseppe, as our guide! It was our best tour in Rome❤️ Our pizza was wonderful, as well as the ice cream, & seeing the sights at night was special! Highly recommend this tour!!
We had a lovely time with Guissspe , The pizza and Gelato stop were both fantastic. The restaurant in Particular was fantastic it's a new place and the food was fresh, innovative and the owner a delight to deal with. Seek out Conso @ Via die 57,00186 Roma. Our driver was very accommodating and went out of his way to make sure we saw what was important to each of us. This was a shared tour and my son and I shared with 2 lovely women from St Louis. Shout out to Rose and Mary!! After a long hot dusty day the comfort and AC were a wonderful respite. We would absolutely do this again..
I enjoyed the views; however, I didn't get close enough to the coliseum to take pictures. We drove by too fast. The other parts of the tour were great.
Meh. It was ok. Expensive for what it was. The word guide is a bit misleading - it was basically a driver that took you around at night, dropped you off and met you to move on to the next spot. No real tour or information shared about anything you were seeing. Dinner was a 5/10 - basic pizza nothing special. We ate with another couple who was on the tour. They were nice - but honestly, If you don't care for dining with strangers this may not be for you. We took our 2 daughters ages 12 and 15. It was just ok. Not really worth the cost in our opinion.
This was a great way to see place places in the evening with out crowds. The pizza was great but one pie would be easily shared by two. The gelato was awesome.
I have taken many pictures of these beautiful historical places in the daytime, but wow! There's something about the glow of the night photos.
Luigi from Madagascar was fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the sites. He has a great personality and didn’t rush us at photo ops. Stops at pizzeria and gelato added to a great experience. We would highly recommend this tour.
Getting picked up at my hotel is always great! My night photos are as spectacular as the highlights of Rome are when lit up at night! The restaurant’s location was amazing – across the street from the Colosseum - and the pizza there was yummy! It’s always my preference to have a small group tour, so this was perfect - just myself, 4 others who were traveling together, and our driver. The only negative was that the van’s two bench seats for passengers faced each other. I was picked up last and ended up on the bench seat facing backwards. This didn’t matter for photo stops, of course. But when the driver pointed out what we were passing along the way, it was hard to see. It was a great tour and I thoroughly enjoyed the four people that I shared my evening with!
Our guide Flavio was so pleasant. Knew the important facts without overwhelming us. Rome at night is a must see. The pizza and gelato were delicious, it was a lot of food. Very good tour.
Avoid this tour! It Was supposed to start at 6 pm…. We were Waiting at hotel and then Got an email they were started at 7 pm with no prior notice. They Also had to go pick up another “forgotten” participant , so our tour didn't start until 8 pm… 2 hours late! Dinner was supar. Not impressed. Only offered water, no wine or drinks. Tour guide was only a “driver” didn't speak or tell us anything as he drove us around, just dumped us off at places and went back to the van and told us to meet him there when done. I requested a partial refund for the 2 hours late start and no real tour, but tour operator denied the request. Avoid this expensive tour and spend your money elsewhere for a better tour.
I had a wonderful time with Giuseppe my tour guide. Alessia arranged a tour for me by myself and my tour guide Giuseppe since it was my last night in Rome. Giuseppe was extremely knowledgeable when visiting the night time sights and I enjoyed the entire your one on one with Giuseppe. The pizza was fabulous and I would definitely suggest going on this tour to anyone! I give it a thumbs up 👍 👌 for sure😄
myway Tue, Mar 4, 7:36 AM (1 day ago) Good morning, This is Marzia from My Way. As per our phone message, our driver mentioned that you had some issues with the restaurant. We are sorry for the issu Jerome Josken 8:06 PM (6 minutes ago) to myway Marzia, We were very disappointed by Rome by Night Pizza & Gelato tour. I received about 6 confirmations over the two days prior confirming the pickup time (6PM) and location (our hotel) . About an hour before I get an email saying pickup is at 7PM. I called immediately and was told the daylight brought on by the new month the driver thought a 7PM pickup would work better. Another driver picked us up at 6:45PM (45min late) and let it slip that our tour guide was late from another tour. We met our actual guide about 7PM at another location. Tight scheduling is never an excuse. Be on time and stay on time. We had 5 people scheduled for this tour and we all burned 45 minutes waiting for your guide. Our guide took us immediately to a square that looked very festive and had at least 6 Italian Restaurants. The one he "dump us at" was the worst of the bunch (I hope - can imagine worse restaurants in Rome). We were not given any guidance as to what was included. He disappeared immediately with instructions that he would text us later. The food was horrible. Two people in our party had Pasta Pepa which had no sauce. It was noodles with some pepper on it. The other two dishes were very bland pasta dishes. We got to a gelato stand which was acceptable. We were taken to 4 different sights (Trivi fontain, St. Pete's Square, The Spainish Steps and an overlook site of Rome - don't recall the name). At each sit the guide gave us a preliminary lecture and turned us loose. We returned to the hotel shortly after 10PM. The tour was 3 hours, not 4 as advertised.
Not what we expected. It was a rushed tour, hopping in and out of a van to only see things from the distance for a couple minutes. No time to relax and properly see the sites.
There were several attempts to change the time of the tour. Not all advertised sites were visited. There was no any input from the guide at all, he just functioned as a driver and the whole event went down to a mediocre dinner in an empty restaurant in a touristy area. We cut it short skipping a gelato part- the whole thing was a total waste of money ( quite a bit of it) and time. Please, avoid this experience
Roberto was an excellent guide. He explained all of the sites and allowed us to determine what sites to see. The meal was excellent. Gelato was the best we ever had.
A very enjoyable evening with dinner and gelato included!! Seeing Rome at night with all the lights is just magical
This tour was definitely "A TO DO" experience when in Rome. Roberto, our guide for the evening, was knowledgeable and entertaining. He pointed out all the sites and provided ample time for photo stops at THE important monuments in Rome AT NIGHT! You can always see the monuments during the day but at night these same places have an all new awe inspiring personna. Definitely a MUST DO activity! Thanks again Roberto!
I highly recommend this experience. Daniel was a genuine historian of Rome. He entertained our group while providing so much information and knowledge of this magnificent city . We visited a charming restaurant with delicious cuisine and wine. Then enjoyed the best gelato in the world at a different venue. Daniel took us to so many hidden sites for fantastic photo opportunities . If anyone wants a safe enjoyable evening experience this is your best choice!
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour on our first evening in Rome. We’re not experienced in foreign travels so appreciated the introduction! The city is beautiful at night! Our meals of pizza/pasta were very satisfying at a charming restaurant with outdoor seating, the gelato was also delicious. Our driver was friendly and very informative!! We would recommend this without reservation!!
We arrived in Rome and took this tour. Our driver was great very funny and personable. Great meal and the gelato was out of this world. It was great to see Rome at night all lit up.
This tour was so much fun. We met up with our guide, Roberto, at a lovely restaurant and had dinner. There was one other couple on the tour so it was just the four of us. Dinner was not rushed at all. After dinner we made several stops, including one for gelato. We had plenty of time on each stop to walk around and take pictures. Overall a great way to spend the evening in Rome. I highly recommend.
Roberto our driver was excellent. He was extremely attentive and knowledgeable. My husband walks with a cane and he gave special care to him. Pizza & Gelato were very good 👍
Highly Recommend!! This was an amazing experience, seeing Rome at night. The city was very quiet and there were no lines anywhere. The tour guide was great and full of valuable knowledge.
This tour was a little pricey, but was definitely worth it, and I highly recommend it. There was only one other couple with us so that made it even better. We had dinner at a lovely restaurant, and we weren't rushed at all. Our guide was so great - after dinner there were several stops (including one for gelato) and we were able to get out and take pictures and walk around. There was never a rush at any stop. We had plenty of time to walk around and take pictures and the crowds were a little lesser (Trevi Fountain was a little crowded, as always). I highly recommend, and I would take this tour again if I were in Rome.
A very good way to end the day after lots of walking. Great to see all the main sites lit up at night. Along with getting information of what we were seeing.
Dinner was delicious, gelato was divine, sights at night were spectacular, and out guide, Roberto was awesome!
If you have the opportunity to book this one, do it! Roberto was an incredible tour guide and really made our last night in Rome special. He went out of his way to find the best, local pizza and gelato- not the tourist trap stuff. He also guided us on the best pictures, and gave us a tour of Rome with local insight. He is equally proficient in Italian and English, very easy to understand, and added humor to our tour. Really an amazing experience! Thank you, Roberto! You were the best tour guide we had all week.
We had a nice time on this tour but unfortunately the coliseum was not light up! The dinner and gelato was great.
Our guide Danny was so knowledgable about local history. It was billed as pizza and gelato but we ended up in a lovely outdoor restaurant with a full course dinner and adult beverage. It was perfect. Later it was gelato. The monuments were beautifully lit and we could get alot closer without the mass of people. Our safety was paramount for him at certain sites.
