We have done several food tours with this company in Rome and they just keep getting better. Our guide this time was Andy and he is wonderful….entertaining, fun, very knowledgeable We had not only had delicious food but an in depth history tour. Lisa was great! She has so much knowledge about the food we were eating and the neighborhoods we were in. It was a great way to see some spots in Rome and have some great food in the process
I booked this last minute and so glad I did. It was a fun 3 hours and the guide Lisa was engaging and very knowledgeable about the area and the food!
A couple of stops. Not once sat down in the location. Adequate at bezt
This tour was great fun and great food. We visited a variety of locations and tried many different food types. 2 locations included brief sit-down tastings. Wine / beer was provided at several locations. Walked through several neighborhoods and our guide - Clelia, was very knowledgeable, helpful and fun. Not only was it a great food tour but included details on the history and flavor of the areas visited. Scheduled this tour for late afternoon and we were provided with plenty of food and drinks along our route!! Excellent food and experience!
Natalia was an excellent guide. She not only showed us her pride in Roman cuisine, but also brought a lot of history and Roman culture into our tour. The food is plentiful and delicious and included some Italian wine tastings to accompany our food. Definitely come hungry! We highly recommend the experience.
This is a tough review to write as we LOVED our tour guide but thought the tour was poorly designed by the company. This was simply not worth the price we paid. I always book food tours whenever I visit a new city as it's a great way to experience the culture but this has to be one of the worst ones I have been on. The food was average and pretty basic. To summarise, you get pizza by the square, some cheeses, suppli, pasta and gelato, all very touristy foods. Normally food tours aim to give you a taste of the foods you won't know about it / aren't touristy. I feel there were so many low hanging fruits that the tour could have included that would given us a deeper experience. For example, in the Jewish quarter we were told about a famous sour cherry pie made by the same family run bakery for generations but it wasn't offered on the tour. We went back for the pie after the cherry and it was easily the best thing we had that day. Another example would be the pasta at the end. Rather than giving us a mixture of the 4 Roman pasta sauces to try, we were all given massive bowls of Cacio e Pepe each. However, I will say that the gelato at the end was amazing. This was a gelataria that all the locals know to be good for the coffee ice cream. Once again our tour guide was lovely. She made our experience as amazing as she could. But the tour design was just too simple to warrant the price.
Wonderful tour of Rome exploring a number of neighborhoods including Trastevere and the Jewish Ghetto. Katarina was fantastic and shared so much history not only about the neighborhoods but also Rome’s food, traditions, culture, and the stories behind them. Highly recommend!
Ellie was 10/10. She was very passionate from the start, and explained the history, culture and provided good context on local history. We really appreciated all her explanations and made us feel so comfortable - especially as it was just us couple. We found the experience very personable, enjoyable and memorable. Thank you Ellie!
Fantastic experience with guide Andi. He has a great personality and knowledge about the food and the sites along the way. We would recommend him highly. This certainly was a highlight of our time in Rome
Natalia was a wonderful tour guide.
We had such a great time with Andi... After 3 cups of wine (quality control, of course)... As he guided us through our food tour...pizza, cheese and meats, Jewish ghetto specialties, trastevere home made pasta, and gelato to complete the tour... I've gained a few pounds all while having a great time! Grazie Mille.
Andi was the BEST tour guide and the BEST tour of my trip! He is personable, professional, knowledgeable and extremely pleasant! I HIGHLY recommend this tour!!
Loved our tour! Great for vegetarians-very accommodating and delicious food (didn’t feel at all like we were missing out)! Andi was an absolute delight, kept things light and enjoyable while still teaching us so much about the food and history.
Andi was so amazing! He was so educated and had so much amazing information to share with us as well as being very accommodating for anything we needed. He was fun and entertaining and we had such a great night!
Everything was wonderful. Andi is very friendly and knowledgeable. The food choices were well balanced and great authentic experiences.
Excellent food tour. Andi was a wonderful guide, lots of interesting information and stories, delicious food.
Ellie was amazing and very knowledgeable of both the food and history. We enjoyed our tour and would highly recommend it.
This was a very good food tour. We had a good tour guide who was very conscientious. One man had an injury and she was very polite to wait for him. However, it did slow us down considerably. but she was quick to educate and entertain
This was a great experience! Planned this as our dinner first night in Roma and we left absolutely satisfied. We got to try all the great foods and Lisa was exceptional at pointing out what to look for and look out for with having traditional Roman food.
It was a little confusing finding the meeting place with the provided instructions. However, Luca was an amazing guide and we had so much fun!
AMAZING! Recommend! Luca was fantastic! Would book again if we come back to Rome. Personable knowledgeable and gave us not only a food tour but also the history of the city! Loved it!
We had so much fun on our food tour with Ellie! We learned so much about Rome and Roman cuisine. Ellie was so personable and made it an amazing experience for us. The food was excellent- as was the wine. Grazie!
Clelia was an excellent guide and the food was delicious, we were so full! We tried some local dishes that we probably wouldn’t have discovered on our own. It was great to explore campo di fiori, the Jewish ghetto and Trastevere with such a knowledgable guide. Clelia was very knowledgable, clear and friendly - would recommend.
Lisa was a great guide. Very knowledgeable and fun. We had some great eats. Perfect sampling of local foods.
Very much enjoyed our food tasting tour. The allotted time was just right. The various food stops and tastings were interesting, appropriate, and provided local flavor, i.e., not touristy spots. The guide was very knowledgeable about history and cultural traditions. She was very thorough, took enough time to explain historical references and overall nice and sweet person. Highly recommend this private food tour!
Clelia was a wonderful guide!
This was a really fun and delicious tour! We tried so many delicious Roman foods and wines in Campo dei Fiori, the Jewish Ghetto, and Travestere and got to learn about the history of the foods and the areas along the way. Natalia was a great guide and it's clealr she has a wealth of knowledge and great relationships with the vendors/owners across all the areas. Would highly recommend.
Lily was an incredible tour guide. Very kind and entertaining. She was very knowledgeable of the history of the area and told us fascinating stories all evening long. She also shared a little history of each dish and was very familiar and friendly with the staff/owners of the establishments we visited which led to great service and fantastic meals.
Best guide!! Great experience!!

Luca was a great host, he was funny, attentive, and patient, and showed us a good time during our first visit to Rome. I would definitely recommend this visit!
We had a unique experience with this tour! From the local cheese and meats store to the suppli and gelato we enjoyed the food and the lively explanation we got from Luca. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. We enjoyed all of the delicious food and walking through the various neighborhoods. Our guide, Lisa, was wonderful. She explained ingredients in the food we were tasting, as well as the rich history of each neighborhood. We especially loved the evening tour - - seeing Italy's night life! Thank you, Lisa!
This tour was exceptional with our wonderful guide Clair. My family enjoyed the Food which was delicious, the walking at night was great for the atmosphere, and Clair’s description of all the neighborhoods.
Luca was a fantastic guide. He taught us a lot about the food and the city. We enjoyed all of the stops, the food and the company! I highly recommend this excursion!

Elle was a great tour guide enjoyed the food experience
This tour was a perfect way to spend our first night in Rome. Julia was a gracious and knowledgeable hostess. Not only did we get to eat a variety of Roman cuisine, we also got history lessons about its origin and a walking tour through neighborhoods outside typical tourist spots.
Claire was fabulous. Highly recommend
Don’t miss this tour! It is such a fun way to learn more about the neighborhoods and to enjoy the foods of Rome! Our guide Lisa was so fun and knowledgeable. She shared so much about the different neighborhoods we walked through and was able to give us a lot of the history of this part of Rome. Definitely a great experience. We loved it!
This tour was a highlight of our time in Rome!! Lisa was a wonderful guide and she provided so much information not just about the food but also the history of Rome. Definitely a great experience!!
We did the tour with Natalia as our guide and had a great experience! We stopped and had a full meal and wine over several stops (antipasto, main, etc). At each stop Natalia would go into great detail of the food and the cultural history behind the dishes. There were also several stops along the way where we had a lesson on the history of the area or a significant landmark. We traveled through 3 different regions of Rome learning about the culture, people, and of course the food there. Natalia was very knowledgeable and was a great teacher!
Great experience with Luca, who was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Really made the tour. Between our group we all had a different personal favourite stop so clearly all the food was amazing!
We had a wonderful tour with Lily! She was super knowledgeable of the history and area! We ate so much good food on this tour and really felt like we gained a deeper understanding of the culture. This tour was especially unique because it took us outside of the more touristy areas and into the different historical neighborhoods.
We had a wonderful food tour with Lisa! The tour was interesting and well paced and the food choices were diverse and tasty. The tour was Led by Lisa in an informative and organized way and we enjoyed the experience with the other guests. Lisa was warm and caring and well spoken.
Isabella was very knowledgeable and great company throughout the tour. Would highly recommend this tour for others who want to experience amazing Italian food
A must for those looking for the "sampler platter" of dining and cultural experiences at a fair price. Over a 2-hour period, the walking tour lets guests enjoy a taste of Southern Italy's delicious food and wine, with an emphasis on unique and atmospheric small business gems. The progression moves from appetizers to small plate style samples and Italian wine and beer selections, ending with a delightful 2 scoop artisanal Gelato. We toured on a picture perfect Sunday Fall evening. As Americans we were impressed by the vast number of local families out for the evening sharing their city's food, wine and warm fellowship with those of us from other countries. The vibe was relaxed, joyous and welcoming. However, the pièce de résistance was our guide, Andi! This young man made us feel welcomed and entirely at ease. He is high energy and exuberant. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of Roman and Italian history and wove these treasured tidbits into an entertaining narrative. He artfully explained the origin stories for much of our food experience. Moreover, he has a deep knowledge of the cooking styles and techniques used in preparing the various foods we sampled. The tour concept itself is clever and entertaining, especially for those of us new to the Italian travel experience, but it was his charm, enthusiasm and passion that made this evening feel like a once in a lifetime experience. Grazie, grazie, Andi!!!
