This was a very high quality tour. Not only did we get to try craft brews from around Italy, our tour guide was very knowledgeable about beer and the history of Rome. We highly recommend this experience!

Had a great tour, tasted some nice craft brews, visited some fun venues. Vanessa our guide was excellent.
This was our best experience in Rome! Sylvia provided some of the history of beer in Rome. We drank some tasty beers and got to try Roman suppli! Sylvia was friendly and kind. We couldn't have asked for a better guide!
We traveled to three pubs. The tour operator was fantastic. She was so kind and pleasant. We were able to drink on the street carrying our beers.
Could not recommend Silvia enough. She was amazing from start to finish and was super friendly and took her time to get to know us, going above and beyond at any opportunity!
We had such a wonderful time on our beer tour with Silvia. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and had such a fun, engaging personality that made the whole experience even better. Sylvia did an excellent job guiding us through the different stops and sharing interesting stories along the way. We really enjoyed every moment — highly recommend this tour and especially Silvia!
Great tour! We learned quite a bit about the history of craft beer in Rome. Silvia was very knowledgeable, highly recommend!
We booked this tour and were pleasantly surprised that it was just us with the guide - it turned out to be a private walking tour chatting about the beer, its history, and so much more. We visited the oldest bar/brewery in Rome and found out the difference of Peroni served in Italy and in the UK. There were some off-licence and another craft beer bar with tastings included. Really cool places, and the tour is definitely worth every penny. We had such a great time. Special thanks to our guide, Silvia - she was amazing and so knowledgeable. She also gave us some tips and recommendations for things to do/see during our visit, which we took on board and all were great! Amazing tour, recommend 100%!
Walkingourmet exceeded all my expectations! The combination of amazing food, rich culture, and expert guidance made it an experience to remember.
Our total beer sampling was one 1/4 pint of Peroni, one can of choice at a bottle shop and a shared 5 glass flight at Balldin brewery. Our tour was pushed from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm on a Saturday night, and the two pubs we tried to get into were slammed. No advance reservations or bookings with the proprietors had been arranged. They could have cared less who we were or who we were with. A very long walk between stop 1 and 2. Guide, Sylvia was engaging but really did not know enough about beer. Any other tour we have been on the establishments expected us and greeted us with open arms, but not in this case. Never really got inside the first stop and waited about 50 minutes for a table at the 2nd stop. There was to be a snack somewhere along the way, but instead the guide offered chips as a “peace offering” for making us wait, when she was unorganized. Worst tour we have ever taken with Viator.
Gennaro (hope I spelled it right) was a very nice guide. He took us to the three stops (previously mentioned in other reviews) and provided interesting information along the way. He was kind enough to go out of the way so we could see the Trevi fountain. I also loved seeing a few places that tourists generally don't go. On another note, I didn't really expect to share a flight at the second stop or the final beer - was hoping to sample more (not quantity to drink, but variety). A good tour though and nice way to see part of the city.
Silvia was the best guide! It was just my wife and I. Not only did we get to experience some great beer, she took the time to show us some really cool spots and provide some Roman history!
The guides are not only knowledgeable about beer but also passionate about sharing the history and stories behind each brew, making the tour both educational and enjoyable. This walking tour provides a perfect balance of delicious tastings, cultural insights, and a laid-back atmosphere, making it a must-do for beer lovers visiting Rome
The Birra Artigianale Locale Walkin Roma tour offers a fantastic blend of craft beer and local culture. Participants are treated to a well-curated experience that highlights the city's vibrant brewing scene, with visits to charming, off-the-beaten-path venues.
Wonderful experience to learn about the Rome / Italy thriving craft beer community. Orso was an exceptional guide who has formerly worked at a brewery. I am a homebrewer and it was great to have in depth discussion on brewery styles and techniques...with the right touch of history...where I learned new things. Each stop had a very different feel and the beers were tasty!
This tour was totally shocking good for my friends and I. The beer was totally tasty and we were a group of friends that wanted to ve some good time. I am glad we choose this, the guide was very nice to us and our group was small but still good atmosphere.
Pretty good for a last minute booking. Nice strong craft beers and our guide was great fun tho sorry I forgot his name! Cheers!
This is a must do on the first day! I arrived in Rome in the morning and booked for the 1600 tour best thing I could have done! Silvia was an amazing guide not only explaining the history of craft beer and obviously taking me to those hidden gems for a tipple. She took time to pop into buildings, courtyards and walkways and showed me the hidden gems that most tourists haven’t heard of! Amazing tour but a more amazing knowledgeable tour guide! 🙏 next time I’m in Rome I will definitely be booking the food tour!
Silvia was a fantastic host! We visited three different beer bars near the center of Rome and all were great! One was very historical (the founders of Peroni actually opened it!) one was more modern and had a wide selection of craft beers, and the final one was more intimate and at the time we visited, had Cantillon on tap!!! Silvia was personable, explained a good deal about beer in Italy as well as a brief history of the areas we visited, and was very passionate about food in general! This is definitely an experience you want to take part in while in Rome if you enjoy beer and visiting local places that actual Romans go to, not tourists!
Our hosts was amazing, she was very knowledgeable regarding beer, but also had great knowledge about the history, including the architecture. We had a great time and recommended to anyone thinking of taking this tour
This a a fun experience! Our guide was fantastic and even gave us great recommendations to eat in the city. Would definitely recommend this.
We enjoyed our beer walk around Rome and Trastevere. Covered off three different spots. Especially glad to have Open Baladin on the list as we ended up returning here for more beer and dinner. Alex was a great guide - super flexible about a delayed start time (as we were coming directly from a different tour). Also gave us a lot of great info and was friendly. Great evening - grazie!
This tour should be called having some beers with a cool Italian. Alex loves his culture, is knowledgeable about beer and I got the feeling of hanging with someone who understands the Rome craft beer scene, and a generally fun guy. It’s not the buttoned up tour you may have with other tours. Just go with it. Ask him questions, let him pick your beers and just enjoy Rome.
A lovely spring afternoon. Started from Piazza Venezia, we went to birificcio Peroni where we had a taste of reserva beer and heard stories about the neighborhood, we then moved to Baladin where we tried 3 different beers and had a snack (the birreria is very hidden) the guide showed us a a fountain in a small courtyard nearby there while giving us a lot of info sab out what to do in town. We ended up in a very cosy and particular beer place very crowded where we also made some friends from the local crowd . PS when in Baladin ask for Rock’N’Roll that beer was great.
suggested by a dear friend if mine I founded very cozy with great service, great food and drinks.. definitely recommend! I will be back.. special mention to Ciccio who make me discovered this place 🙏🏻
Alex was a funny and informative guide. I felt like he treated us as friends and was impressed with the venues he took us to. I would definitely recommend the tour to any craft beer lover visiting Rome!
Disappointed- this experience was a birthday gift that was planned a few weeks ahead of time. The tour guide had to change the time from 4 pm to 6pm, then was 40 minutes late. Though the guide seemed knowledgeable about the city and bars, the tour was very unorganized. The first bar was so crowded and since we were late the bar tender seemed annoyed to have to deal with such a big group in a very very small space. The second place was ok lots of beer choices, but again a big group so the staff didn’t seem happy. The last station was closed so he asked us who are not from Rome where to go. We ended up in an Irish pub which was nice but very crowded. I was looking forward to a good experience but felt very disappointed about the whole tour. Save your money and find your own bars.
Where do I begin…our tour was originally scheduled at 4pm and then pushed to 6pm, which was fine with us. We showed up at 5:40 and Our tour guide showed up sometime between 6:30-6:40pm. We then headed to the first stop, where we weren’t even able to sit at a table. We had 7 people in our group and had to cram around the small bar. The bar tender was surprised to see our group come in and seemed annoyed we were there. The next bar was okay, and had lots of selection to chose from. When we arrived at the second bar, our tour guide let us know he wasn’t sure if the next bar was open or not. He went to check and left us at the second bar. When he returned he notified us the last bar moved across town and was too far to walk to. This to us, seemed like something the company/ tour guide should have known well before us arriving. He then asked us where we should go next (which isn’t that his job as the tour guide?) and we ended up at a crowded random Irish pub where he let us know the budget for each person was 5 euros. Overall, I cannot stress enough to save your money and look up breweries online to go to. Truly a huge scam and waste of money/time.
Great tour! I was only me and my partner and our guide Alex. He was very cunning and showed us some great beers and intresting brewerys around Rome. We really liked the we got to be personal with the guide and we talked about everything when walking between brewerys! Alex also recommended a great restaurant called Peppo in Trastavere where I had the best Pizza I ever had after the tour! The only thing I missed from the tour was a bit of history about Italian brewing history. Great tour overall that I can highly recommend! /LN
Guide was great but a little green doing beer tours. Said he prefers a food tour. Main beer hall was closed that was supposed to be the end of the tour. They actually opened twenty min after of tour was over. Guide was able to take us to a beer shop and another bar in replacement but the organization of booking wasn’t done well at all. Also for the price I’d suggest you find three good beer bars in Rome and do that instead of this tour.
Came back to Rome for the second time in less then six months and I could not resist and call Davide once again for his amazing beer tour! Not only a great selection moreover a great host.!,! Saluteeeeeeeeee
Me and my friends booked this tour for our first evening in Rome. Our guide Davide was amazing, he brought us to some very unique places in the very center of Rome. He was very knowledgeable and fun, we had a lot of good beers. Davide even answered all of our questions concerning not only beer but life in general in the eternal city. Highly recommended !!!!!! Perfect start for a vacation because you get to know places where locals go and even some restaurant recommendations. cheers
Definitely recommend this beer crawl. We visited three local Kraft beer bars in Rome with our guide-David. He was brilliant! He was extremely knowledgeable about the City of Rome and of course, the different types of craft beers. He was also very patient with all the questions my husband and I had. Great for couples or a guy trip!
Italy for me means wine so I was very surprised when I found this tour but I have to say that it was just amazing and super interesting! We've tasted different types of beer and learned a lot about beer production process. It was a beautiful walk around Trastevere!
Received as a birthday gift, shared with 2 friends. A discovery, we had super fun, the guide really nice and prepared. We will definitely re-experience. Highly recommended.
Beautiful and unusual afternoon accompanied by our special guide for a day, on a tour to discover places unknown to us where you can taste original beers of absolute value! Exciting and fun to play tourist in our beloved city in a sensory experience that delighted our palates, thank you Gennaro for making it so pleasant!
Very pleasant walk through the streets of Pigneto, a neighborhood frequented mainly by the inhabitants of Rome. The quality of the beers tasted was excellent and a very interesting way to learn about the street art of the area, thanks also to the anecdotes of the excellent guide Silvia. Highly recommended!
Nice walk in Pigneto with the guide Sabina who took us to enchanting places. The brewers offered were excellent, a wonderful evening!
Highly recommended experience, it was a birthday present for my father from me and my brother, everyone was pleased and pleasantly impressed by the way the guides handled the tour. Despite being from Rome, it was an experience to be redone and recommended to anyone.
We were lucky enough to find this tour on tripadvisor. My companion is a great beer enthusiast, like all Belgian good! This tour gave us the opportunity to discover Italian artigial beers. A great tour and a typical Italian guide! Thank you for this beautiful moment and the beautiful discoveries!!
I had such a wonderful experience in Rome! Explore Rome with delicious craft beers. We are very happy with the local beer that we can't usually drink and the experience that we can't experience on our regular tours! My guide (English) was also very nice and taught me a lot about Rome.
Nice trip with a visit to 3 different types of beer cafes. The guide was really good and very helpful. Spended a lot of time and energy on ensuring us dining option at the end place - brewery Birreria Peroni and general tips for our ROM tour. Improvement possibility - only one place we got 3 small samples - the other two 1 optional beer. Funny with several small samples. By the way, Birreria Peroni was not a good experience. The place seemed very commercial and too busy. It wasn't the guides fault that we ended up there - we had asked for it, but don't do it again. .
I took two American friends for a nice walk and a beer tasting. We met the Guide (a guy from Rome) and we started immediately from the Antica Birreria Peroni in via di San Marcello, we really liked (I had never been there before) the environment is very welcoming, then we moved to the Open Baladin in via degli specchi and during the move the guide provided a lot of useful information to my guests, from Baladin we tasted 3 beers each (Ale the guide recommended us "The National") and we had a small snack, the last stop in Trastevere we went to the very popular Ma Che Siete come a Fa' where at the end of the tour we stayed to converse with the guide, both I and my friends had a lot of fun.
Alex took us to unique places in the city, we visited 2 neighborhoods on both sides of the Tiber chatting about sober cuisine and craft beers. If you are a brewmaster you will know more but if you are a brewmaster you do not come to Rome. The Roman scene is full of craft breweries that we didn't know, Thank you Alex
