The tour was a rush through the museum only considering artworks and Roman statues. No real time to explore the vast collection of ancient artefacts vases jewellery tools etc. the sound was so poor most people took their cheap earpieces out. No account was made for the health of the party one lady had a bad hip and almost collapsed with the heat. I only stayed with the guide to access the Basilica as we were told we would have to queue otherwise I would happily have wandered free and even taken in some badly needed refreshment. The only benefit is priority entry to jump the queue. But you can get cheaper options if you book in advance or on the day. Go to the museum later when the football crowd has passed through.?

Itinerary
The Courtyard of the Pine Cone in the Vatican Museums. If you have never been to the Vatican Museums, consider not only the Sistine Chapel but also other spaces, such as the Courtyard of the Pine Cone. It is one of the first stops you will make on your visit, a large open space of 300 square metres adjacent to the corridors and halls of the museum. If the weather is fine, enjoy the whole extent of the courtyard at leisure and pay attention to the various works of art here.
Commissioned by Popes Clement XIV (1769-1774) and Pius VI (1775-1799), this museum was intended to house Greek and Roman masterpieces from the Vatican. In the centre of the museum is the octagonal courtyard with the most famous statues: the Apollo of the Belvedere, a 2nd century A.D. Roman copy of the Greek bronze original, located in the Agora in Athens, the famous Laocoon group, a 1st century A.D. Roman copy, Perseus with the head of Medusa, by Canova (early 19th century), the Hermes Pius-Clementine, a copy of a 4th century B.C. Greek statue.
One of the most beautiful and impressive parts of the Vatican Museums is certainly the long corridor, 120 metres long and six metres wide, leading to the Sistine Chapel adorned with maps. The Gallery of Maps, commissioned by Pope Gregory XIII, was created between 1580 and 1585. The frescoes were painted by Italian and Flemish artists under the direction of Ignazio Danti, mathematician, astronomer and cosmographer. The walls of the gallery are covered with forty maps of the various Italian regions, with maps of the main cities. On the ceiling adjacent to each region are representations of the main religious events that took place there.
The Sistine Chapel is located inside the Vatican Museums in Rome and is visited by millions of tourists from all over the world every year. The Sistine Chapel is decorated by Michelangelo's splendid frescoes. His splendid works cover the vault and the back wall (with the Last Judgement) above the altar. Inside the Chapel, the conclave, baptism and other official ceremonies of the Pope are held.
From the Sistine Chapel there is direct access to St Peter's Basilica where visitors will then have free time to visit on their own

We had no experience! We traveled to the tour and it was cancelled because there wasn't enough people! Can you imagine? We were to the location and found an Asian man sitting on the steps and told us there is not enough people. Very sorry. I'm extremely upset with Viator.
This was a nice basic quick tour of the Vatican: Vatican museum, Sistine chapel and St Peter's. The tour operator changed the starting time of the tour by an hour. The guide spent a lot of time telling us to stay close to him. He explained much of the tour from posters as it was difficult to talk and explain things with all the crowds of people. I guess it is the nature of the beast given how crowded it was.
A lot of walking but definitely WORTH IT ! Visually over stimulating but WORTH IT , BRINGS THE GRANDEUR & unbelievable talent to a new level, Warmed my ❤️
If you go in the heat of the summer, take water, expect very large crowds (in the thousands), and dress appropriately. It was amazing to see art that was centuries old. You definitely need a guide to maneuver through the museum.
Not as all as described Missed so many things Most of the tour was spent standing outside in the hot sun. Save your money and find a better tour company or do on your own. This was a big waste of money Extremely disappointed !!!!
The smoothest way to experience Sicstine Chappel and St. Pieter's Basilika saving hours of queuing. The guide told interesting things about the attractions, but not too much, taking into account that it was very hot and there was a lot of walking. Overall very good guide and organization.
Great tour, very organized. Our tour guide, Carmelo, was awesome; very friendly, funny and knowledgeable.
We had a fantastic experience yesterday visiting the Vatican, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica. Our tour guide, Daniele, was incredibly knowledgeable, polite, and overall excellent. We were able to skip the lines, and everything went very smoothly from start to finish. The tour was absolutely worth every penny we paid for the tickets.
Vencinzo was, without question, the most outstanding guide we encountered at the Vatican. While other groups were hurried along, he moved with purpose and pride, ensuring we experienced—not just saw—this sacred place. His passion was unmistakable from the very first moment. His depth of knowledge went far beyond standard history. He connected art, faith, and humanity in a way that brought the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel to life with meaning and clarity. Venchinzo didn’t just guide us—he left a lasting impression. His presence elevated the entire experience, and he will be remembered long after this journey ends. was, without question, the most outstanding guide we encountered at the Vatican. Directions to the start were very poor. Once we actually got there, each person we tried to speak with was disorganized, unhelpful and rude. We were told to be 15 minutes early, but couldn’t even confirm we were in the right place until 5 minutes after the scheduled start. Although the venues themselves are too overcrowded to really be appreciated, our guide did as well as anyone could hope. She was the only bright spot on this tour.
The tour was a great introduction to the Vatican area. Getting more information on the Sistine chapel and michangelo’s role was fantastic.
We had a wonderful guide Andrea - very knowledgeable, fun and caring at the same time. The places were extremely crowded yet he made sure that we would see the main places and get all the historical details. An amazing experience! Looking forward to the next opportunity!
Was an awesome experience! Valentina was an excellent tour guide. Be prepared to walk for miles.... So much to see. So crowded and expect other tourists to be rude it's just the way it is.
Valentina was the best tour guide. I highly recommend her. The musium and everything was very nice and it was a wonderful once in a lifetime experience.
Ms. Valentina was very thorough and detailed oriented. We had a great experience with her. We were able to see everything on our list. And we're able to take plenty of photos.
Valentina was very knowledgeable and patient with our small group. She kept us informed of all the information necessary for us to visit the Sistine Chapel prior so we knew what to expect. Great job Valentina!
Vincenzo was absolutely fantastic - he was so enthusiastic, knowledgeable and engaging, he really added a lot to the experience and enhanced the visit. He was able to add context not only to the main exhibits and their history, but also to many smaller pieces, and the additional information definitely helped us to better appreciate and enjoy the works. Skipping the line and the shortcut to the Basilica was also much appreciated.
Vincenzo was a wonderful guide! Very informative and thorough while still moving at a smoothe pace. Vincenzo was enthusiastic and engaging throughout the tour!
Easy to meet the organizers; clear instructions. Great experience, very knowledgeable guide ( Eugenio). We highly recommend the tour .
Vincenzo was an excellent guide. He so knowledgeable about the Vatican, its history and all its Popes as well as the artwork in the museums. The 2.5hr tour flew by so fast!
Vincent was a great guide, very knowledgeable and entertaining throughout, i would highly recommend taking on a tour when visiting
Do not use this company! We've had tickets for months for this tour. The meetup location was behind police barricades in both directions and they had no one out in the area with other tour operators to meet us. We called them and texted and they kept giving us the location behind barricades. Zero effort on their part. We finally found a representative outside of the Vatican Museum and he just shrugged his shoulders and said sorry. We ran into other families in the same situation with them who traveled across the planet to be there. Avoid these people at all cost!
Great tour our guide Vincent was excellent extremely knowledgeable and very patient, answered all our questions. He made the tour very enjoyable !!
Fabulous insight into the history of everything. Our tour guide Vincenzo was amazing! Funny, interesting, knowledgeable & polite. Would definitely recommend.
What an amazing tour so full of history. Our guide Kiara was fantastic. Passionate about her topic and so knowledgeable. She did not rush us at all. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The vatican museum wonderful and shown many highlights. Sistine Chapel fantastic to have had the brief before going in to fully appreciate the art. The Bascilia was amazing. So much detail in all the art work. Thanks again Saint tours but especially our guide Kiara.

Vincent was an excellent guide, full of knowledge and most importantly humour. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and coming outside of normal peak times, allowed us plenty of spare time to take in the true beauty of this place. I’d recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rome, it’s truly a must see
Vincenzo was amazing. Felt like we lucked out with him as our guide. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Included us in his explanations and made for an unforgettable experience
Luciana was amazing And knowledgeable on everything. She made the tour fun and made it easy to paint a picture in my head of what she would describe. She took really good care of us all and was very patient.
The tour was amazing! Vincenzo was very informative and he knew every worker that we passed so we were also able to get into closed exhibits because they liked him so much. Highly recommend!!!
The art was incredible I’ve never seen anything so beautiful and well crafted I wouldn’t have enjoyed it as much if it wasn’t for Luciana who directed us to the best spots and explained extensively even down to little fun facts I really appreciated her service🙏 bring some comfy shoes and carry your jackets it’s quite warm inside but doesn’t affect the tour in any way
The guided tour of St. Peter's Basilica, Vatican Square, and the climb to top of the dome was incredible. Our tour guide, Claudio, made it an exceptional experience. He was extremely kind, professional, and passionate. He made the whole experience feel personal and unique.
Very informative. Vincenzo is amazing! Astonishing insights. Not busy in November. Especially the insights about panels of Sistine Chapel

Excellent explanations of the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel from our guide, Giulo from Saints Tours. Highly recommend visiting using this company.
Giulio was amazing!! 10/10 very informative. We came from costa rica and it was one of the best tours in Italy. Thank you Giulio.
Pineapple 🍍🍍🍍 is the true forbidden fruit from the tree of knowledge 😉 Your tour was awesome and funny Vincenzo. Kind regards, Vincent
Loved this tour. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and imparted that to the group And it was nice to move to the front of the long lines
Vincenzo was a wonderful guide. It was a very knowledgeable and caring tour. He really took the time to explain things in detail, and was very caring about our individual experience. There are many tours in Rome but this one was different! Would highly recommend.
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. I loved that she shared so many history stories. And kept track of us all! Very personable as well. Wish I would have had cash to give her a tip as she was well worth the tour. Only thing - and not a reflection on our guide - the info of where to meet for start of tour is very misleading and confusing. USE the name of the store and address of store. Good grief - we went thru security and into Basilica area. If you are not from Italy you do not know the difference between the locations. Other than that LOVED IT ALL! Kudos to out guide!! 👏👏👏
