Our guide, Leonardo, was brilliant. He was very knowledgeable, funny and a great story teller. As we moved from place to place he took time to speak to everyone of the group and take an interest in us. I learnt so much and had a fabulous time.

Itinerary
Castel Sant'Angelo in Rome, originally built as Emperor Hadrian's mausoleum, later served as a fortress, papal residence, and prison. Its striking cylindrical structure and rooftop statue of the Archangel Michael make it one of Rome's most iconic landmarks along the Tiber River.
Ponte Sant'Angelo looms over the Tiber like a bridge between worlds, its ten angelic statues carved by Bernini and his students standing sentinel, each bearing symbols of Christ's suffering. By night, shadows shroud the angels’ faces, their expressions both solemn and haunting, as if guarding secrets of the souls that once crossed into the fortress beyond—Castel Sant'Angelo, a place of refuge, power, and whispered mysteries.
The house of the kindest executioner in Rome.
The Haunted Arch, and the place of prayer for the most controversial exorcist in Rome.
The house of the 16th-century artistic genius Benvenuto Cellini, who, unfortunately, was more notorious as a rapist and murderer.
The haunted house of the witch Giulia Tofana, and the stories of the holy inquisition.
Corte Savella, the only prison in Rome authorized to execute convicts inside its walls - the place where Beatrice Cenci was tortured before her execution.
Via Giulia is a picturesque, historic street in Rome, designed by Bramante in the early 16th century for Pope Julius II, and lined with Renaissance palaces, ivy-covered facades, and hidden courtyards. Known for its quiet elegance, it embodies the charm of old Rome and was once a central artery of the city’s aristocratic life.
Santa Maria dell'Orazione e Morte is a chilling Baroque church in Rome, built by a secretive confraternity dedicated to retrieving and burying abandoned corpses. Its shadowed interior brims with skulls, bones, and eerie symbols of death, evoking an atmosphere where the line between the living and the dead feels unsettlingly thin.
Fontana del Mascherone is an eerie Baroque fountain on Via Giulia in Rome, featuring a massive stone mask that mysteriously spouts water from its grimacing mouth. This is a crime scene where John Paul Getty III was kidnapped.
Campo de' Fiori is a lively, historic square in Rome, renowned for its bustling morning market filled with vibrant produce, flowers, and local goods. By night, the piazza transforms, surrounded by bars and restaurants, while the shadow of Giordano Bruno’s statue serves as a reminder of the square’s darker past as a site of executions during the Inquisition.

Absolutely brilliant and interesting night trip around Rome. Tamara was our guide and was funny and very interesting.. She was one of the best we have ever done a tour with. This was one of the highlights of our week!
This was the best thing that we did in Italy. The guide was amazing. He was very knowledgeable. Great way to learn about the history of the city.
It’s a very fun tour and meeting at night and at Angelo’s Castle added to the excitement.

Tamara was excellent guide. She explained stories clearly and with fun infused into it. Loved the, light sarcasm in her speech. Highly recommend to attend. Thanks!
Francesco was an excellent guide. From start checking he had everyone on the list on the group. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Lots of fun too.
Very entertaining evening. Learned a lot too. The guide was fun and very interactive. The time flew by. We would definitely recommend.
Great tour! Our guide Leonardo was the perfect person to lead us, with impressive knowledge and dark humor. Would go again for sure.
Leonardo made our night. He crossed us through some amazing streets. His way of explaining is really good. He does his homework well. He's got answers on alot of stuff. He's open-minded. I really liked this tour we learned alot about history of rome/popes , superstitions, legends, facts, also the harsh truth of history and they are open minded enough to tell us at is was.! Beautiful and respect!
The meeting spot was easy to find, the tour took about an hour and a half. There was a decent sized group with us but it didn’t feel to overwhelming. Our tour guide, Leonardo, was funny, wanted to get to know everyone, and was a great storyteller for each area we stopped at. We had a lot of fun and learned some crazy things, would highly recommend!
Was a great tour, spooky but wonderful, lovely to see Rome at night and hear about its spooky history. David was great!
A lovely and fun experience. Tour guide Ivan was knowledgeable and made the tour fun and interactive. He also answered our questions. I didn't realise the tour had come to an end until we reached the endpoint. A Big plus was the view of the sunset by the bridge at Castel Sant'Angelo (meeting point).
We had a great time learning about the dark history of Rome. Our tour guide Tamara was great! Thank you!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an amazing experience with Iris on the Ghosts, Legends and Mysteries tour in Rome! Iris was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about the stories she shared. She brought Rome’s history to life with fascinating legends, mysteries, and spooky tales that made the whole experience unforgettable. Iris has a wonderful personality and made the tour fun and interesting from start to finish. If you’re looking for something different from the usual sightseeing tours, I highly recommend joining one of Iris’s tours. We had a fantastic time!
This tour was an awesome way to spend an evening. The host was knowledgeable, charming, funny and great at (true!) story-telling. It was engaging and I learned a lot about the darker historical people and places of Rome!
Awesome information, skilled storyteller, fun experience. We all (7) agreed that this was the best tour. No stupid headsets, just a skilled guide, who knew how to use his voice. If you like the darker side of history this is a must.
We were told a few interesting tales along our walk and enjoyed our guide very much. We learned some things we would not have otherwise and it made for a neat experience at night. Our guide Ivan/Evan, apologies for the misspelling, was very thorough and entertaining. This was well worth it, but remember to bring some Euros with you as he works on tips, not on the admission price. I'd rather have just paid it upfront, but if that's my only concern, it's a good problem to have.
We enjoyed walking through the streets and hearing some history. Good tour to explore
Tamara was a wonderful and animated storyteller. Tour unlike most of the others.
This was a great evening activity to do. Tamara was a wonderful guide with a great personality and sense of humour. Her storytelling of past happenings added to the ambience of the tour experience. Add to your itinerary.
So the tour itself is super cheap and there’s no other fees. $23 Euro for 5 of us. Our tour guide Ivan(pronounced Eevaan) was awesome. Funny and engaging with a ton of information about everywhere we visited. He had the whole crowd laughing throughout. We liked him so much we needed a selfie with him and the whole family. It’s about 90 mins and well worth it. Ivan was so good out tip was way more than the tour itself. My family had a great time. My kids are older, not sure if it would be great for little kids. Pretty graphic and more cool fun informational than kid version of exciting
Our host was wonderful - she made the stories come alive and was very knowledgeable. Good pace
I wasn’t engaged and the stories weren’t that great
Simone was an excellent guide who told the history and legends of Rome in an engaging way. The themes related to one another and were contextualised by the contrasting morals and values of historic and contemporary times. Brilliant and funny as well as shocking . Brought Rome to life for us.
Really interesting, fun tour, definitely recommended. Iris was a fabulous story teller in all things grim and gory! She was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic, the perfect tour guide.
The tour was great, fine anecdotes and grizzly details. Iris was a delight as a tour guide, animated and bubbly with a wealth of knowledge. Best recommendations from me.

What a great tour. Quick, simple, informative, and even better with a drink for the road. Worth every dollar.
Great quick tour. Definitely worth the money.
We had a wonderful trip around Rome guided by Ivan! He was wonderful and informative and took the time to get to know the guests (us included) during the walk from one spot to another. The tour itself was fascinating and well timed, we learnt so much and the time flew in the best way. Ivan even recommended some of the best tiramasu we've ever had 🫡 thank you Ivan!!!
Fun walking tour of Rome, interesting stories with beautiful nighttime views. Our guide was Tamara, she was lovely. Would recommend checking this one out.
We loved the tour and our guide Leonardo was great!
Well done and thank you to our guide Evan. He told us interesting facts and information about Rome and the Vatican we wouldn't have found out on our own.
Our guide Ivan was knowledgeable and entertaining. There were few ghosts but plenty of grisly medieval details and interesting insights into the darker side of Rome’s history. I was particularly interested in the statue of Bruno the Heretic who was put to death for his heliocentric theories. His statue now glares in the direction of the Vatican.
Ivan is a very knowledgeable; and friendly guide/narrator. I highly recommend this tour. Well worth 5 stars.
Thank you Ivan for the wonderful tour. You were amazing and so very entartaining. The best investment I have done so far in Rome. Thank you.
Ghostly good fun! Ivan was a great tour guide. Highly recommend!
Great tour, good way to know more about Rome and it's history. We enjoyed a lot, even if it was raining. Very recommended
Our guide, Leonardo, was really knowledgeable. The tour is not too scary and we did have some laughs too, although there were some gruesome parts. Leonardo spoke excellent English. This is a tipped based tour. We tipped €40 (€20 each) and the tour was worth every penny.
Leonardo was a fantastic guide he really brought the tour to life. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend, beautiful city at night too.
An excellent and entertaining walking tour of Rome where you get to hear some of the history they don't always tell you.
Great, fun informative and iri was so good. Would recommend this tour if you are interested in the anthropology of place and history
Ivan was a great guide. He was enthusiastic and clear in pointing out places in the city where interesting events happened
We were on the tour with Ivan, it was great!! Fun, interactive and interesting. Great stories and Ivan talked so well, we had a great time!
It was a fun experience with a great and enthousiastic guide. After the trip we visited the church with the bones we past during the tour and it was one of the most memorable things we have seen in Rome. And in Rome, that says something!
Ivan was an incredible tour guide, he was very captivating and easy to listen to. He told us the darker aspects of Rome’s past leading us to various locations that hold the city’s secrets. Could not recommend enough!
