Fantastic tour, zipping through the Rome traffic on a golf cart while singing 'Thats Amore" enough said!! Great guides, a mix of both famous and less known stops and gelato at the end, very enjoyable, highly recommend.

Castel Sant’Angelo was built as Emperor Hadrian’s mausoleum and later became a fortress for the popes. It’s connected to the Vatican by the Passetto di Borgo, a secret escape route.
Largo di Torre Argentina is a Roman square housing four ancient Republican temples and the ruins of Pompey’s Theatre. It’s famously known as the site where Julius Caesar was assassinated.
.
Trajan’s Forum was the last and most elaborate of the Imperial forums in ancient Rome, built by Emperor Trajan to celebrate his military victories. It included grand public spaces, markets, and the famous Trajan’s Column, which still stands as a detailed stone “comic strip” of his campaigns.
We will stop by Colosseum in the perfect spot to take some Photos
Circus Maximus was the largest stadium in ancient Rome, originally used for thrilling chariot races that could hold over 150,000 spectators. Today, it’s a massive open archaeological area where visitors can still walk through the footprint of one of the greatest entertainment venues of the Roman Empire.
Bocca della Verità is an ancient marble mask famous for the legend that it bites the hands of liars. It became world-famous after appearing in the movie Roman Holiday.
Teatro di Marcello is an ancient Roman theater commissioned by Julius Caesar and completed by Augustus, often called the “mini Colosseum” because of its similar design. Today it’s partly integrated into medieval buildings.
The Terrazza del Pincio offers one of the best panoramic views of Rome, overlooking Piazza del Popolo. It’s a popular sunset spot, surrounded by elegant gardens and statues.
Campo de’ Fiori is a lively square in Rome known for its daily market and vibrant nightlife. It was once the site of public executions, including that of philosopher Giordano Bruno.

If you want to see Rome without the history ever feeling boring, book Martina with Not So Boring Tours! 🇮🇹 We spent half the day exploring Rome by golf cart with Martina, and her vibrant personality and incredible energy made the experience so much fun. She was extremely knowledgeable about the city and its history, but what we loved most was the enthusiasm and personality she brought to every stop. She took us to so many incredible historical sites and beautiful spots throughout Rome, and traveling by golf cart was such a fun way to experience the city and cover so much ground in just a few hours. Martina was engaging, energetic, knowledgeable, and genuinely excited to share Rome with us. The name says it all—Not So Boring Tours was anything BUT boring! 😂 We had an amazing time, and if you’re considering booking this experience, do it. You will not be disappointed!
We normally don’t complain about tours, but our guide was new and barely said 2 words and just drove us around for 2.5 hours. We didn’t learn a thing about Rome.
We booked a private golf cart tour for our multigenerational family and it was the perfect introduction to Rome. Seeing the city's highlights from a golf cart allowed us to cover far more ground than we could have on foot while still stopping frequently to explore, take photos, and enjoy the atmosphere. It was also a wonderful way to make Rome accessible for everyone in our group—from the youngest children to the grandparents—allowing us all to share the experience together without worrying about long walks or tired legs. Our guide, Alessandro, was outstanding. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and entertaining without overwhelming us with information. He shared fascinating stories about Rome along with practical local tips—like skipping the street vendors selling bottled water and instead filling our bottles at the city's many free public drinking fountains. One of our favorite family photos from the entire trip was taken by Alessandro at the beautiful overlook in the Borghese Gardens. He never rushed us and seemed to know exactly where to stop for both the best views and the best photo opportunities. We scheduled this tour for our first day in Rome, and it turned out to be an excellent decision. It gave us a wonderful overview of the city, helped us get our bearings, and introduced us to places we wanted to revisit later in our stay. The tour ended with delicious gelato near Campo de' Fiori—a perfect finale to an unforgettable afternoon. If you're looking for a fun, comfortable, and memorable way to experience Rome—especially with children or a multigenerational family—I highly recommend Not Boring Tours and, if you're fortunate enough to get him, Alessandro.
Great Tour especially if it’s your first day in Rome! Great way to see what you want to further explore!
We had such a fantastic time. Everyone was so knowledgeable and helpful. Salvo gave a wonderful tour and Mike helped accommodate other last minute tours as well when other plans of ours fell through. We would absolutely recommend to anyone!!!
We booked a golf cart tour around Rome for myself, my mom, and my 5-year-old son because we wanted to see as much of the city as possible without too much walking. It ended up being one of the best decisions we made on our trip! Our driver and tour guide, Emilie, was absolutely wonderful. She was incredibly sweet, her English was flawless, and she made the entire tour fun and engaging for all of us. She shared so many interesting stories about Rome, as well as the artists and architects who helped shape the city’s history and beauty. We were also given headphones, which made it very easy to hear her clearly throughout the tour, even while driving around the busy streets. I would highly recommend this tour, especially for your first day in Rome. You get to see so many of the major sights comfortably, and it really helps you decide which places you want to come back and explore in more detail later. Perfect for families, kids, or anyone who wants to experience Rome without all the walking!
Many of the sites listed were not even mentioned. Pantheon, Moses statute, Christ statute and no gelato at the end. The tour sites we got to see were ok but I booked because of the 3 we missed.
Alessandro, just WOW. What a charming young man for our tour guide. We have been in Rome many times, but we learned new things from a boy who grew up in the area, and his stories were just fabulous. I love Rome! This was a fantastic tour, with off-the-cuff questions answered and interesting details! I would highly recommend!
Our guide, Emilie, was great! We learned a lot of little gems of knowledge about Rome, including discovering our favorite gelato spot, which is included at the end of the tour. We went back there our last night in Rome. It’s a great way to see areas and sites of the city and Emilie was great to chat with during the tour and to learn from. Highly recommend.
Great experience and such a great way to explore Rome, there is so much to cover and see we did this on our first day with x2 teenagers to give them a good overview. Definitely recommend
Great way to see the city! Family enjoyed this as our day 1 activity. We saw 3 days worth of sites in 2 hours. Highly recommended.
We had an amazing guided tour through Rome with Emilie as out guide! I really recommend her if you are concidering a tour! You will se the most famous places in Rome and drive inn small streets, with the perfect amount of information. Suits all ages. The last stop includes an amazing gelato. Really recommend Emilie as your tourguide, for the best experiende⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Emilie/Emily was amazing! Thank you so much for the best tour ever. She is very knowledgeable and explains things in a clear and understandable way. I would highly recommend Emily to be your tour guide 💗💗
Emily was prompt and very friendly. She knew a lot about the sites we visited and gave us background that only locals know. She took use to Trevi Fountain (on my bucket list) where I was able to get down to the fountain and toss my coins.
The golf cart tour was amazing! It was the perfect way to see a lot of the highlights and historical sites in Rome. Despite our travel delays, they were very flexible and communicated and worked with us very well. The group leader was very knowledgeable and our whole group had a lot of fun!
Tour was a great and informative start to our Rome visit. Salvo is knowledgeable and fun. Highly recommended.
Unfortunately, we were unable to make our tour as my mum had an accident in Dubai on the way over and broke her pelvis. We had to cancel our trip to Italy and return to Australia. Mike was very generous in refunding our money Instantly. We will definitely be using them when we reschedule our trip next year. It is lovely to interact with someone who is honest and generous.
My wife and I had the best time with Alessandro on the Golf Cart Tour. Rome was our final stop after a 9-day cruise that started in Barcelona. We knew that we would be too tired to walk all around Rome to experience the city in the way we wanted. The Golf Cart Tour was a perfect solution. We were able to visit many sites and we could hop out and take photos at the major sites such as the Colosseum, Curia of Pompey, Villa Borghese, Piazza del Popolo, and Trevi Fountain. Alessandro was knowledgeable about the sites and their history. He spoke clearly and was easy to understand, even across the wireless headsets used to communicate from guide to passengers. The gelato at the end of the tour was some of the best that we had during our entire trip. We greatly enjoyed the tour and also booked a Vatican Museum tour with NotBoringTours.
ALESSANDRO is amazing! The golf cart tour was lovely in the eat and nice breeze. You see amazing things at ease. Plenty of pictures to take and very knowledge!
What fun we had with Salvatore! Not only did he do an excellent job of telling us the history of the sites we visited, he provided fun anecdotes that brought them to life. He was very witty and charming, and made us all feel welcome. He also knew the best places to stand to get great pictures. We had a great time with Salvatore! I highly recommend him to anyone interested in doing this tour.
Fantastic way to see Rome and learn some interesting facts about the city. Alessandro was a great guide, with fluent English, good driving, plenty of knowledge and also funny . There were plenty of stops so we could take photos, and it felt like we saw so much of Rome. I really liked being in among the old narrow streets, you can't do that on a double decker. The earbud and mini transmitter were convenient and easy to use, we could hear Alessandro clearly. We had a 7 person cart, us and a group of ladies, everyone had a good time. Finished with gelato at Campo Fiori - really delicious gelato too. No downside to this at all, it was 100% worth it to see a huge chunk of Rome without walking in the 36° heat, and with a knowledgeable and entertaining local guide. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Rome whether first time or (like us) third time, we still learned new things and had a great time. Favourite bit - stopping by the vista of the Colosseum, or maybe the incredible view from the Borghese gardens. 10/10.
Alessandro gave a great tour of Rome which enchanted the adults and children . It finished with a wonderful gelato in Campo dei Fiori.
We had the best afternoon with Alessandro and Salvatore! We laughed we learned we ate ice cream! 10/10 tour. Best way to see Rome. Definitely recommend for families with young children ❤️
We had a fabulous time on the golf cart tour. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. It was our first night in Rome so it was a great way to see some of the city sights. It was so much fun driving through the streets in the golf cart and the gelato was amazing! Loved this tour
Covered a lot of ground! Our tour guide Alessandro was very informative and enjoyable to spend the afternoon with! Highly recommended this for your first day in Rome, or if you are pressed for time. Gives you a great overview of historical sites and then you can dive in deeper later on if you wish. Got plenty of info 99% of people don’t know
The golf cart tour in Rome was fantastic! Our tour guides were super funny and very informative. The gelato at the end of the tour was a great treat.
When Rome is 35 degrees this is a no brainer ! We booked this tour for the day we arrived in Rome from Australia after 25 hours of travel as we knew we would be hot and tired. It was a perfect decision. We got to cover many sights with ease, a great guide giving us information and stops at the appropriate places with the right amount of time for photos. The cart gets into the narrow streets with ease and you end up at a great gelato shop. Had a great afternoon !
This was just ok for me! Many people recommended a golf cart tour for Rome to see a lot in a short time. I did an afternoon tour on my first day to get a lay of the land so it was extremely hot by that time which I think killed the vibe a little bit, but still a nice way to cover a lot of ground in a short time. Morning tour during peak summer months may be better. I had selected this specific tour based on reviews and because it starts by St. Peter’s and I was not going to be visiting that at another time but it’s a very quick drive by. In hindsight I would do one that starts in the city center unless I was staying near the starting point because for me it was not worth the time/cost to go out that way to the meeting point.
Mike really helped us out to get the date and time we needed. We were on a tight schedule coming from the cruise and he made it happen. We really enjoyed the highlights.
Our tour was authentic and amazing! Salvo is the best!!! He led us to the best Roman restaurant and gave us so many other suggestions for our trip. Book this tour! You won’t be disappointed.
What an amazing tour this was. We booked through TripAdvisor and our tickets were sent to us via email. We were a little late due to travel plans running behind but he waited for us. Our guide, Salvo provided a wonderful experience. He spoke great English. He did an incredible job at explaining everything the history. He was a really nice guy, very personable, and very funny. He was also able to provide recommendation where to eat for the couple days we are her. In fact, he made the reservation for us for that nights dinner :). Highly recommend Not Boring Tours and ask for Salvo.
I don’t usually write reviews but this golf cart tour was great. You see so much in such a convenient and fun way. “Not boring tours” is the best. I selected them based on reviews I read, so glad I did. Salvo, our guide, was the best. Before the tour, had excellent communication. Everyone in our group loved it, and we met great people along the way.
This tour was a fantastic find. Our guide Salvo delivered a perfect blend of local knowledge, humour and care. The golf cart tour is a lot of fun and a wonderful way of seeing the sights of Rome. The added twist of a nice gelato and first class restaurant recommendations make this a compulsory trip for anyone new to Rome (and those who’ve been before)!
Salvatore was very nice and made it fun he also gave a lot of history wouldn’t have known the golf cart was a great way to get around most of the good sites that you can go back to later.
Wonderful experience!! Salvo went out of his way to make sure the tour was informative and fun! The golf cart makes it easy to cover a lot of ground and see the sights! My two boys, ages 22 and 25, who are not history buffs, had a great time! Definitely a highlight of our time in Rome!! I strongly recommend this tour!! Thank you Salvo! The Goldberg family…
This tour was amazing! Salvatore and Mike were so accommodating and professional. This tour is certainly not boring and the guide was so funny! Very knowledgeable with a humorous twist on it and made for an excellent afternoon! A must do in Rome!!
We had a blast today and got to see a ton of sights in a short amount of time. We really enjoyed the whole tour and the guides were extremely accommodating to us. Would recommend to anyone!
The tour guides were amazing. Very friendly and knowledgeable, and even had some great jokes to make it a really fun time!
The tour was fantastic and greatly appreciated the tour continuing despite it only being the two of us. Lots times companies will cancel the tour if there are not enough people and it was just the two of us and felt like VIP! This is the BEST way to see the major sites of Rome!
We had such a great time on our golf cart tour of Rome with Salvo and Mike from Not Boring Tours. They took us all around the city and made sure we saw everything we wanted to—without ever feeling rushed. Salvo was super knowledgeable about the history of each spot we visited, and he shared it in a way that was easy to follow and genuinely interesting. On top of that, they made us feel completely safe and comfortable navigating through the busy streets. One of the best parts was how personal and fun the experience felt. My grandma is from a town near Naples—same as Salvo’s father—so the two of them hit it off and spent a lot of the tour chatting in Italian. It made the whole thing feel even more special for our family. Overall, it was the perfect way to see Rome, and we’re really glad we did it with this team.
This was the best way to see Rome! We were introduced to the most awe inspiring sites of Rome. It was the perfect introduction to Rome. In fact, it was the highlight of our weekend! Salvo, our tour guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about Rome and its history. He communicated this brilliantly with his excellent English and style of delivery. Salvo answered any questions we had, and ensured we had some time to take photo of the beautiful views and architecture. Salvo and the team were very good drivers, so we felt safe moving through the beautiful and bustling streets of Rome. The gelato at the end of the tour was the best we tasted during our weekend - and we tried a lot! From the point of booking, I was impressed with Not Boring Tours. I would highly recommend this tour to all! Thank you Mike and Salvo!
The team was very helpful and the guide was extremely knowledgable, while adding (more than) a dash of humour along the way! We got to cover some of the most important and relevant sights of Rome, in about 120 minutes - something that we would not have been able to do on our own! Thanks to Savio, Helena and team!
Read the reviews online and thought the experience would be great for our first time in Rome. My family of 3 joined the tour along with another (two related) family of 9 with small children. The other family was late to the meeting spot and after a few minutes we had to go find them and pick them up. This caused a delay of approximately 15 minutes. Once all were onboard we proceeded to the first stop where my wife had to exit the tour as her back was able to sustain the bumpy ride throughout the streets. Likened to Mr. Toads wild ride! This was no fault of the tour company but be warned it is bumpy. My son and I continued with the tour and unfortunately the children continually screamed ciao to everyone we passed. It was funny at first but having small children screaming in your ear after an hour became unpleasant. We went to a few more stops which provided good information and history. Once we arrived to the park/overlook approximately 90 minutes into the tour, the tour guide/owner was more concerned with the family and their needs, and he asked them what they would like to do next leaving us out of the conversation and making the final decision that they and the kids were hungry. Our next and final stop was a restaurant in the market square. Two places were skipped to accommodate their request for food. The “included Gelato” was never mentioned and the tour ended early dropping all of us in the market square and not returning to the original departure point as stated in the tour description. We didn’t visit the Pantheon or the Chiesa Di Santa Maria Sopra as stated in the tour information. My son and I were point toward the street and told that’s where we can get a taxi. The two fathers apologized for the situation. Unfortunately, this made me feel like we were discounted and missed out on the full tour benefits that we thought we signed up for.
What a fun time! Salvatore was not only highly informative but an absolute blast. Winning personality! We had a ball! Highly recommend! 10/10! 🤩🤩
My girlfriend, her mom, and I went with Salvo on his tour through Rome. It was much better than expected. Salvo went out of his way to show us an amazing tour of the city, filled with plenty of history, beautiful sights, and great humor. As first time visitors to the country I would highly recommend his outfit to everyone. Thanks again Salvo. We really appreciated the hospitality.
An amazing experience, best way to see all of Rome. Definitely has been the highlight of our trip. If you want a good time with great laughs and gelato I would recommend this tour! Thanks again.
Went on the golf cart tour of Rome with Mike as our guide. He was very knowledgeable and funny. He made the tour very entertaining! Would 100% recommend
We did this tour on our first day in Rome. Figured it was a good way to get a feel for the city and a lay of the land. It did not disappoint. We drove all over the city past most attractions you'd expect to see. The Colosseum, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, etc...Places we would go inside and visit later during our vacation. Our guide Salvo was fantastic. He's like the mayor of Rome! Knows everyone and just about everything about the city. Very engaging and fun!
I just got back from my trip and out of all the tours we did in Rome, this was one of my favorites. Salvo, our tour guide is Italian and that really makes the difference on a tour like this. Since our tour group was small, Salvo added a bonus stop inside the Basilica of Saint Mary of Minerva, and we learned about the history of the church, but also the presepi tradition. Salvo also took us to probably the best location (I saw) for a photo of the colosseum. I think him being local really made the difference because it was clear just how familiar he was with both the history and navigation of the city. This was the first tour I did in Rome and I noticed every tour I took thereafter, touched on some of the many facts Salvo covered on his tour. So it was nice to have that point of reference while visiting the city and learning about Ancient Rome. I also was thrilled one of our stops took us to Largo di Torre Argentina, where Julius Caesar was assassinated. I planned this trip to be in Rome for the Ides of March because the city puts on a reenactment of his assassination, but I didn’t realize when booking, we’d make a stop at this site. So again, you really get your monies worth! I did this tour with my mom who is in her 60s, and she was a bit jet lagged, but the tour itself is very laid back. If you’re traveling with the elderly, or people not physically fit, this tour is very easy because you’re mostly being driven around in a golf cart. The cart is narrow enough to fit through the narrow streets of Rome, which means it’s less walking you have to do to see notable attractions. And like advertised, you end the tour with really good gelato! One last thing, I’d be remised to not mention that Salvo was kind enough to offer my mother and I a ride back to our hotel since it wasn’t far from the meet up location for the tour itself. It was so above and beyond and we really appreciated it, especially with my mother being older. Just book them! They're great and have many tour options.
