Amazing! You definitely should go and experience this family vineyard. Gorgeous. Paola the owner is so kind, knowledgeable, and super friendly. The bread, cheese, and olive oil tasting was delicious. The wines as well! Our favorite was the first white wine in the cave! We loved the historic cellar, made us feel like we travelled back in time. The town is very beautiful and lunch was delicious as well.

Itinerary
Upon your arrival at Frascati station ( or Tor Vergata if your tour starts on Saturday) you will be greeted by a car or van to take you to one of the oldest family-owned wineries in Frascati. Here, you will embark on a tour of our beautiful artisanal Frascati Vineyard, a 16th-century farmhouse, and the historical Minardi Winery, all accompanied by our knowledgeable winemaker. Explore a deep wine cave that dates back to the times of Ancient Rome and indulge in a tasting of our three exquisite wines: Frascati Superiore DOCG, Red Vagnolo IGT, and Sweet Cannellino DOCG. Each wine is described in detail by our licensed sommelier and is accompanied by freshly baked goods from the bakery in the center of Frascati. And to top it all off, you'll get to savor our delicious extra virgin olive oil.
Immerse yourself in the fascinating history of Frascati while savoring local delicacies, such as slow-roasted pork and Frascati jug wine. Interact with friendly locals, including artisans and shopkeepers, who are eager to share their unique stories with you. As you wander through the charming streets, your guide, a Frascati resident who is well-connected throughout the town, will make you feel like a local. Don't miss this opportunity to experience the authentic flavor and culture of Frascati.
For lunch we will take you to an authentic Osteria located in the heart of Frascati. The meal will begin with a tantalizing selection of local cheeses, vegetables, and different types of salumi. This will be followed by a mouthwatering dish of fresh homemade pasta with a seasonal sauce. To complement your meal, you can choose your favorite wine from the tasting as this local cuisine pairs perfectly with our wines. Enjoy the delightful flavors of Frascati in the company of friendly locals, surrounded by the charm and character of this historic town.

Winery tour was extremely “OVERLOAD” of useless info. Guide insulted the US too many times and unprofessional.
Wonderful hosts and a gorgeous vineyard and Frascati is beautiful. Knowledgeable hosts and so welcoming!
A very fun way to see a both a classic vineyard and a small town outside of Rome! The winery is absolutely beautiful, and our guide was very knowledgeable and gave great insight on the history of the building and wine. The small tour through town was amazing, same for the food we sampled and exploring the town before heading back to Rome. Highly recommend!
This was a great tour! Everything was thoughtfully planned out and we had a great time. The winery was great and I loved the time in town as well. The lunch provided was well above the quality that you normally receive for a “tour lunch”. Worth the money and I highly recommend to others!!
What an amazing experience! The family vineyard tour led by our knowledgeable guide who had generational connections and an obvious pride in their growth and achievements.Inside the winery was incredible and we learnt so much. The wines we tasted were delicious. We were then shown around the town by Valerio and what a joy she was and once again her connection to the people of the town made our time so special. The porcetta panini was to die for and this was followed up by lunch in a gorgeous authentic Frascati restaurant where we ate the tastiest pasta of our trip. An incredible day well worth the money. Thanks so much
This experience was something not to be missed. Frascati is a charming quiet town right outside of Rome. The vineyard tour and tasting was educational as well as delicious! Paola knows everything there is to know about the region and the grapes. We had a delightful lunch afterwards in the town. Everyone was so friendly. It was a great ending to a perfect day away from the busyness of Rome. The tour was organized perfectly. Our guide in the town was wonderful. Thank you!
Wonderful experience, so well catered and attentive. Shared such great details about the process of making wine. The local pride in Italian roots reflects in the quality of the product as well.
One of my favorite tours during our stay in Rome. Worth every penny of it. Short train ride, beautiful winery with great scenery & amazing wine , short walk through the center of Frascati, and ending it with a delicious lunch in of the charming restaurant in the city.. let’s not forget the very pleasant & knowledgeable tour guides.
It was a great trip Paola at the vineyard was knowledgeable and fascinating to listen too. The wine tasting was lovely and then a quick trip into the town and lunch perfect. Thanks to both Paola’s for a wonderful day.
Loved this experience and the city of Frascati! My mother loves wine, she enjoyed as well! I’m not a fan of cheese but the cheese was the perfect match with the wine!
Wow! Absolutely wonderful, beautiful, great service, great knowledgeable people learned so much! And had a ton of fun! Highly recommend this tour!
We enjoyed touring the vineyard and tunnels where they stored the wine. After the tour we explored Frascati and enjoyed a lovely lunch and chat with the other couples on the tour.
The experience was really neat. We went on a mini trip thru the vineyard and learned a little bit about the grapes. Then we went into the tunnels where they keep the wine. They taught us a little about judging wine. They had us try multiple samples at various locations, then took us back to town where we had lunch. It was fun getting to chat with the other couples on the tour.
The experience was all great and a highlight of our stay in the Roman area. We appreciated it very much. Paola and Daniela did a great job at showing us the winery around, leading us through the tasting and visiting Frascati. We ate very well. And the tour was perfectly paced and overall surpassed our expectations.
The travel to Frascati from Rome was 30 mins which was a plus. Pick up is right at the train station. Upon arrival at the vineyard we were greeted by Paula who was the owner and very welcoming and nice. She was very informative and enjoyed the wine. Getting our second tour guide in the town of Fracati for a stroll through the streets and visited local shops and had lunch. Overall enjoyed the full experience.
The vineyard was so beautiful and the views were amazing. We loved the explanations of the differences with the grapes, vines, and wines of the region. Paula was wonderful. Our tour of the village was fun and interesting too. We enjoyed being out of the busy Rome city and in a quieter village.
It was a historic straightforward tour of the winery. Paulina the wine tourer was amazing, very smart of her roots. Love the vineyards despite it was cold a bit and didn’t see any grapes, but saw the underground cellar production, tasted some wines, cheeses, such a memorable experience. Dominique the tour guide was so energic and awesome of going her way to show me and the group Frascati! Had a nice lunch at the end. However, the only big disappointment for me that made it 3 stars for me was that there were two groups instead of one was I thought it said it on the itinerary which was annoying. I made nice friends and connections in my 1st group, but come lunch time I was told to have lunch with the second group instead of my original group because of my gender and I was upset. My original group was mixed genders and we had no problems at all. I didn’t knew anyone and felt uncomfortable to talk a bit but I tried and the second group wasn’t kinda nice to me a bit. Overall, awesome experience but didn’t like being separates and picked on at end of my tour and I took it very personal!
Excellent tour. Very informative. The guide in the town was really gois and rhe restaurant firlunch was friendly and so goid.
A great time! OUr host was passionate about her vineyard, and it showed. WOnderful information about wine in genral, plus wine from Frascati. The town tour was just the right length. Small group size made it more enjoyable. I would recommed this tour to anyone who wants to stay close to Rome but still have a vineyard/winery experience.
Paula the winemaker was good and extremely knowledgeable. We had an excellent lunch at a small restaurant in Frascati.
Adiv was an awesome guide. Very knowledgeable and nice. Would do it again. Great tour guide. Took his time and took care of everything one.
Awesome experience. This was my wife and I second time to the winery. Must do if you have the chance!!!
Paula, at the winery, is very knowledgeable. Great wine! Lunch was very good. Drivers were fine, as well.
Guides were great, food was great, but no wine cave, which was advertised when we were buying tickets.
Had a great tour with our two small children today. The guides were very friendly and informative. The wine was very good. Just like the food. In fact, the food was even a bit too much. But that doesn't matter. Because it was delicious. If i can give one improvement. Is that the wine tasting could be half an hour longer. Also the service form Bibbo was very good. Cristina gave us great advice via app and we were able to visit the office, where she helped to book the train tickets. Certainly a recommendation.
The winery tour was truly unique. The caves and history were fascinating. I learned how to taste and smell the wine.
Very wonderful day trip from Rome. Learned a lot about growing grapes, wine and Frascati. Our tour guides mere very friendly and knowledgeable. Great town to visit. Highly recommend!!
Going deep in the caves. Tasting and purchasing the wine Meeting new friends Our tour guide was very informative, cute and engaging.
We were on a fantastic NCL Sky cruise and booked this tour. Overall, the tour was very good but the last hour + was spent driving to view a lake , which was closed for the season, only to view it through a fence for 5 minutes. The tour would improve a lot if that was removed from the tour. The scenery was lovely but it was a long drive for a 5 minute stop which did not add anything to the tour overall.
Loved this tour. Wine was delicious, tour was interesting and lunch was so much fun. Would highly recommend!
Really amazing tour, the views from the vineyard were breathtaking. The host was really friendly, and easy going and gave a very interesting talk about the wine making process and about the wine they make. Our tour guide in Frascati was a local who knew everything about the town and had great stories and more detailed knowledge of it’s history.
The white wine and sweet wine were amazing. The host of the vineyard and Frascati tour guide were amazing. The food was to die for! The only problem was not being able to buy a bottle of the wine to take home with us
The winemaker & guides were absolutely FABULOUS! We learned so much, and see why Frascati is so proud of their wine. It was a perfect day in every way. Thank you!
We are red wine lovers who have both been on many food and wine tours in a few countries, and we generally find there is a theme that some tours are intended to do one of 2 things: push products the operators/collaborators want to sell, or get us very full and drunk to collect good reviews. (This is generally done, to be fair, with a generous helping of education on the local culture.) Accordingly, some of the reviews we read on this tour mentioned not getting enough food or wine, or complained about the vineyard wanting to give too long an explanation of the cultivation process. We assume that these reviews are from travelers who expected this to be a tour intended to pump them full of food and get them drunk and ship them back to their start. Contrary to many of the other reviews, we found this tour exactly what it's described as, an education of the local wine and making. We found the vineyard enchanting and the owner operator fun and charming and knowledgeable. We loved all stops, left extremely full and consumed far beyond sufficient quantities of wine. We loved taking the train to and from the town of Frascati as part of the experience. What we loved most about this tour was that the goal was truly to educate you on the wine of the region and introduce you to Frascati and allow you to explore this quiet and picturesque city away from the hustle and bustle of Roma. We also loved that there were a huge diversity of nationalities on the tour. What we didn't love is we are red wine drinkers and we drank all but 1 glass of white - because this is a white wine region - not the tour operator fault! - we like trying new things! If your goal is to get pass-out drunk or puke-up full, then this is not the tour for you. But if you enjoy culture and the process behind your food and drink combined with cool people and great food and sufficient quantities of wine, especially with a less commercial feel, this is for you. Book it. You won't be sorry!!
The tour began when we easily took the train from Rome. Upon arrival we were greeted by the tour guide along with the other 28 people on the tour. First shock, since we expected a small group tour of 10. We were split up into vans for the ride to the vineyard where we were met by a member of the family who talked to us while waiting for the others to arrive. Again, we did not expect to be part of a group of 30 and this really diminished our experience. We were taken into the wine cave and given some lovely Frascati wine to sample. The guide here was excellent, but the group size posed a problem. We then went outside to taste more wine and have cheese and bread. More information was shared, but the group size made it difficult to hear. We were then sent to the town in our vans where we were split into two groups of 15 for a tour of the town. Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of good information. We stopped for a small bite pork sandwich then went to lunch. This was a disappointment, as it was not a pasta lunch as advertised. It was more of a charcuterie board appetizer. Not sure if the other group got the pasta lunch. We were disappointed in the size of the group, as the information available to us stated a small group of no more than 10 people and we were much larger than that.
Amazing experiance in A beautiful town just outside of Rome. The tour guide was amazing and friendly.
The winery is beautiful and family owned and run. The guide spoke a lot and gave us great details but the stand is too long for my taste. We stood as she talked for at least 2 hours , walking around the vineyard then in the cave. I enjoyed the expierence but wish we were offered water when we got there and did not have to stand for so long. The wine was delicious , just wish it were more options for the tasting part . The tour guide that took us around the town of Friscati was funny and made the tour enjoyable .
Our tour of the Frascati Vineyard was fantastic, informative about the history of the vineyard , the region and winemaking process. The village of Frascati was totally picturesque and unspoiled. Our guide lived in the town and shared her personal local experiences with food and wine. The vineyard snacks and the complete lunch in town were excellent examples of the local cuisine.
The wine guide talked too long. Only tasted 3 wines. Talked too much. City guide was not the best. Guide got mad at someone on the tour because the kitchen messed up the order and it was very uncomfortable.
the tour guide was very knowledgeable and described the wines with great detail. i can now call myself a wine fanatic
We loved this experience! It was so easy to get there from Rome, the views and house were amazing, and the wine was so good! We also loved the lunch experience afterward. We highly recommend this experience!
I felt the tour was quite overpriced for what it was. We weren’t offered much wine. 3 glasses at the vineyard itself with one of the glasses being of the higher quality wine. Lunch was included but we didn’t enjoy this so didn’t eat it. The guides themselves were very lovely and shared lots of knowledge with us. However, I wouldn’t book again as for the price I really didn’t feel it was worth it.
We got picked up from the station and driven to the vineyard. The vineyard was very good the tour was informative and friendly. Joanna the tour guide was great aswell. Food and wine where amazing as was the tour of Frascati with a fantastic lunch and more wine. Highly recommended 👌
This was an amazing tour! We got lucky with a beautiful day spent at a beautiful wine yard. Paula passionately told us about the process of creating wines with extensive clarifications on storage, harvesting, etc. And the wines offered for tasting were delicate and crisp. Frascati is a small town, and it’s tour was quick. But the meal we had was delicious!
Great explanations and well organised. Very educational. Owner shared alot of valuable knowledge and didn’t try to sell the wine too
Very well organised when didnt think would be! Had a great time! Would reccomend to anyone! Surprised me at every turn!
Bought train tickets, at the train 1hour early. Asked where and what to do. Tolled to go to platform 25. And sent to follow the signs, The area was closed off, asked many train station employees that were rude, a lady heard us and came over to help. Well we missed the train, next one was in 2hours, my phone was not working in Rome. We got a taxi and saw some other areas of Rome.
We sadly didn’t even make the tour. It was cancelled an hour before we had to leave Rome to Frascati. Still no refund. Reason given was no room for us on tour, so assuming they overbook. Beware. We had already bought train tickets… wasted day.
This was a lot of fun. The winery was family operated and very cozy. The tour in the town of Frascati was intimate and the lunch was good. We met some great people and had great conversations with our new “family”. One warning about the Termini train station in Rome. Get there EARLY. It is a big station and navigating to the correct place is time consuming and hard to understand.
