Fiumicino Da Transfer To The City

Unfortunately the experience using Samarcanda was not great. I booked the airport taxi transfers a few months in advance via the company’s website so I would not have to worry about it during our family holiday. When we arrived at the airport, we texted the number provided and the car arrived as described - the meeting point directions were a bit unclear so it did take longer to locate the driver. Nice, comfy, clean car. The return trip was the complete opposite. We never received any messages from the taxi company as we were told we should (eg message 15 minutes before taxi arrives) so we texted the number provided in case of problems. We were then told that they couldn’t help us as we had booked through the marketing team apparently. We were then told we had to book and pay for a new taxi to take us to the airport. The fee was much higher than the one I prepaid and I have had to basically pay for 3 taxi journeys for the 2 I needed. I was told I had to email the office and request a refund. When I did this, I received no correspondence back and had to chase the office via WhatsApp to be to.d the office was closed for 3 weeks and I would get a response then. Not a happy customer and not convinced I will get a refund :o(

Awful experience trying to communicate with Holiday Extras and Samarcanda Radiotaxi the day before the return journey home. Automation sending me round in circles referencing it being the other company's issue to address. Both companies were unhelpful and blaming each other for the lack of help. Disappointing experience and spoiled the start of my wife’s 50th birthday. A conversation with a human would be helpful and would improve the focus on customer service.

My driver was early, polite, and did a great job driving me to the airport. Reserving the taxi the night before on the app was easy and straightforward. It was a perfect end to a beautiful trip!

We got picked up at fiumicino airport and taken to Palazxo Montemartini hotel near the station . 4 adults 4 suitcases. We got charged 240 euros for a 30 minute drive absolute rip off., don’t use these thieves.

We wanted to pre-book a ride to Fiumicino in the middle of the night and be sure that we would be picked up. Samarcanda had easy online booking and we got a clear confirmation so we could relax. We even got a whatsup message 15min before pickup with the assigned drivers name. Quick and smooth drive to the airport.

Arrived on time' waited for us while we went trough passport control and got our luggage. The driver was very helpful and gave some recommendations on restraunts.

We took the taxi from Fiumicino airport to our hotel in Rome. It was organised by Booking.com and everything went very smoothly. Someone met us and walked us to the taxi. Ambra 29 was a very good driver

There was no reception for us. No name board. Nothing. The lady from the company was rude, unhelpful and the taxi drivers were not ready. We had to walk from T1 to T3 to find her and then back to T1 for the taxi. It was very unprofessional and disorganized. I will NEVER use this service again.

Landed after midnight. I had already purchased the transfer online. I will send a WhatsApp after picking up the luggage. I receive an immediate response and a taxi is found in a minute.
