Our flight was delayed and we arrived late for the tour, but Andrea was incredibly flexible and understanding. He immediately put us at ease and adapted to the situation without making us feel stressed or rushed. That kindness really stood out. The tour itself was fantastic — exploring the Appian Way, ancient aqueducts and catacombs in a vintage Fiat 500 was such a unique way to experience Rome. Andrea is warm, knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about his city. You feel like a guest rather than just another tourist. The professional photos were also a wonderful touch. Highly recommended if you want a personal and authentic experience of Rome!

Itinerary
This is our starting point, in case you did not choose the hotel pick-up option. The largest stadium of the Roman era, of which only a few remains are visible today.
Shortly after the beginning of the Appian Way, we will come across the tomb of the Scipios, perhaps the most ancient and prestigious Roman family.
Driving along the so-called “archaeological walk”, we will encounter on the right the enormous complex of the Baths of Caracalla.
After passing the Baths of Caracalla, the Via Appia Antica begins, the most famous Roman road.
After passing the tomb of the Scipios, we will pass under the Arch of Drusus, an imposing monument from the Roman era.
( OPTIONAL ) Arrived at the catacombs we will be greeted by a lush and unexpected nature, olive trees, roads with cypresses and green meadows, it will seem to be in Tuscany! Here if you wish you can visit the inside of the Catacombs, the visit lasts about 45 minutes and is managed by Vatican guides, it is a visit for small groups. The cost of the ticket is included in the price if you choose the option to visit the catacombs
After seeing the footprint of Jesus inside St Sebastian, we will visit this iconic church, which houses a precious copy of Jesus’ footprint.
The symbol of the Via Appia Antica, its most important and majestic monument. First mausoleum, then transformed by the Caetani family into Castrum. The visit from the outside is provided, those who wish can enter independently to visit the mausoleum, upon payment of the ticket.
A few meters after the Arch of Drusus, we find one of the most famous access gates of Rome, part of the imposing Aurelian walls, which here we can admire in one of the most beautiful parts.
Important Roman basilica, one of the 7 that traditionally pilgrims visit during the jubilee. Built over the catacombs of San Sebastiano, it houses the last sculpture by Bernini
Parco degli Acquedotti preserves some of the most impressive ancient Roman aqueducts, including the monumental arches of the Aqua Claudia and Aqua Felix.

We have been to Rome many times and were looking for something different. This tour fully met our expectations, and we especially loved the Parco degli Acquedotti. Andrea is a very attentive and friendly host. He took great care of us throughout the entire tour.
We really loved it! It was a perfect mix of riding in a Fiat 500, discovering some history, and chatting with Andrea, an excellent driver, a great photographer, and a true Roman. The funniest moment was squeezing through the narrow streets of Rome, the Fiat 500 is as agile as a scooter!
One of the few tours that includes a visit to the Aqueduct Park. Andrea shared lots of fascinating stories and is a fantastic communicator. A real highlight was taking some beautiful photos and getting the chance to ride in his 1960s Fiat 500, people couldn’t help but smile when they saw it!
We often come to Rome and wanted something different. The aqueduct park did not disappoint us! We also recommend the catacombs, we preferred to visit those of San Sebastiano, and Andrea was very flexible. Everything was done with punctuality, attention to detail and friendliness!
During my recent trip to Rome, I had the incredible opportunity to experience the city in a completely unique way — riding in a vintage white Fiat 500, driven by Andrea, a talented photographer and art enthusiast. Together, we explored iconic spots like the Appian Way and the Park of the Aqueducts, with Andrea sharing fascinating stories and hidden gems that made every stop feel personal and special. We also visited the Catacombs of San Callisto, where I was guided by an official Vatican guide. It was a deeply moving experience, and Andrea’s passion for art and history added an extra layer of meaning to the visit. Every moment of this tour felt like a step back in time, and Andrea’s knowledge and warmth made it even more memorable. The Fiat 500 only added to the charm, taking us through Rome in a way that felt both authentic and magical. If you're looking for a truly unique way to discover the city, I highly recommend this experience!
We had such a lovely tour! We got to see parts of Rome we'd never seen before and learned a lot from Andrea - he was so friendly and fun. Highly recommend!!
A great experience, accompanied by excellent photos. Andrea is a great lover of his city, and he answers every question with passion and knowledge. Moreover, this part of Rome is truly amazing.
It was our fourth time in Rome, and we chose this photography tour to try something new. It was a great idea, we got some great photos, and we saw places we never imagined existed.
Just outside the city of Rome is a beautiful place, the Appian Way Park, which contains mysterious catacombs, sections of ancient Roman roads, and churches holding unique treasures, all without the typical crowds of the city center. Andrea made the tour unique, thanks to excellent organization. Thank you!
A real treat to escape the city noises and crowds! Well worth my time and money. Catacomb tour took me to the earliest Christian history in Rome and seeing the aqueduct from the first century exemplified the enteral city’s architectural heritage.
Rome surprises you at every corner, so much history! The aqueducts, the catacombs, the footprint of Jesus, it's a wonderful tour! Moving around with a fiat 500 from the 60s in the Roman countryside, was the bonus! Andrea is a great host, very passionate about history, and a great storyteller!
We did this tour on May 1st. The weather was wonderful, blue sky and warm air, ideal for visiting the Appia Antica park and the catacombs. Andrea was very kind and thoughtful, we recommend this experience with him to everyone!
The Christian catacombs are a must-see for anyone visiting Rome. Located along the ancient Appian Way, they offer a historical and religious experience at the same time, perfect for children too. They extend underground, so be careful if you suffer from claustrophobia! Getting there is not very easy, we decided to do it by booking a tour with Andrea, with his fiat500 took us to the catacombs and showed us much more, we recommend it.
Andrea was a fantastic host! His tour was well worth the time. Andrea is very friendly with children, the tour is very family friendly
It was our second tour with Andrea, and it surprised us a lot. The road to the catacombs is already a pleasant experience, a mix of nature and very impressive Roman monuments. The catacombs are located on top of a hill, and extend for many floors underground, very suggestive. Afterwards we visited the ancient appian way and the aqueduct park, for a complete tour of the Roman countryside.
In a few minutes you are outside the city center, immersed in an atmosphere of lush nature, rich in history. The fiat500 is wonderful and surprisingly comfortable! The catacombs are fantastic in their mystery. Thanks Andrea, you told us many intriguing stories, you are a true professional!
We were looking for a tour that could interest our 8 year old son. The choice was excellent, he really liked the little fiat 500 and the catacombs! Andrea was very kind to him, he really likes children!
I was curious to visit the famous catacombs of San Callisto, and on a rainy day, I decided to do it, booking this tour. The result was excellent, the tour exceeded my expectations. Andrea is a very polite and attentive guy, the visit with him of the appia antica and the aqueduct park was fantastic, and also the guide inside the catacombs was very engaging. The photos with the fiat 500 are amazing!
For our third trip to Rome, we wanted to get out of the city center, and visit a hidden gem. We were not disappointed, we visited the catacombs, the majestic park of the Aqueducts, and a part of the famous Appian Way. I recommend this tour to everyone, as you will be impressed, and we recommend doing it with Andrea and his vintage Fiat, which made it all more engaging.
A really great experience and opportunity to get outside of the Rome city centre. The car was beautiful and Andrea was very knowledgeable of the area. We went to the Aqueduct too which was excellent, and we enjoyed the catacombs. We highly recommend
We were looking for a tour to visit the catacombs and the ancient appia, and we booked this because we really liked the idea to arrive in a Fiat500! The result was beyond our expectations, Andrea picked us up on time at the hotel, and accompanied us along a wonderful road to the catacombs. The visit to the catacombs went very well, our guide spoke perfect English. At the end of the visit, Andrea showed us a very beautiful part of the ancient Appia, and then drop off at our Hotel. Highly recommended
A great escape from the chaos of Rome. After visiting the most famous (and crowded) places we needed a day to relax. We are really happy to have booked this experience with Andrea, who showed us enchanting places and told us a thousand interesting stories, he is truly an excellent storyteller! The bonus was visiting these places on board his magnificent 1966 Fiat 500, a real jewel that does not go unnoticed!
A fantastic experience, a must-do!🚗🇮🇹 The classic Fiat 500 is already a great and original way to discover Rome, but the real plus is Andrea: a passionate guide, very friendly and also an excellent photographer. Getting outside the city walls and leaving touristy Rome behind to discover the Appian Way, the catacombs, and places that few visitors know, was simply magnificent. Andrea knows how to tell the story of Rome with passion and really make us enter its history. An authentic, fun visit full of wonderful surprises. Discovering Rome like this is completely different!❤️
An unforgettable experience in the catacombs of catacombs of Saint Domitilla! The tour was excellently organised and the professional photos are simply impressive – a wonderful reminder of this special place. Especially charming was the ride there in a beautiful Fiat 500 – a real gem from 1966 that made the tour even more authentic. Andrea is an excellent photographer who carries out his work with great passion. He is an authentic Italian full of charm and manages to capture history, atmosphere and emotions in a unique way. Highly recommended!
We have been to Rome many times, and we wanted to see something unusual. Driven by curiosity we decided to visit the catacombs and the ancient Appia, very famous places but we had never seen them. The catacombs are an unmissable place, inside a hill, carved into the volcanic rock, 500,000 Christians were buried. Moving through the tombs in small streets and frescoed rooms, is an experience you will not forget! Also very impressive is the visit to St. Sebastian, where the footprint of Jesus’ feet is kept. A visit to the ancient Appian Way is also very pleasant, it is fascinating to walk on a Roman road.
Very pleasant, slow paced excursion of the countryside, ideal after days spent queuing at museums. We really enjoyed the visit to the catacombs, it was very well managed and not too crowded. We recommend this tour, it was great fun to travel in a classic Fiat 500
Very nice experience! My husband and I really enjoyed this trip, Rome always surprises you, each time it has something new to offer. Andrea organised everything very well, excellent communicator and very reliable at the wheel of his splendid Fiat500.
I have been to Rome many times, I wanted to see something new, different from the wonderful old town. The tour was very interesting and well organized, Andrea picked me up at the hotel, and took me along the Via Appia Antica, up to the catacombs, located on a hill full of green meadows. The visit took place with a priest to guide a small group. The catacombs amazed me, going underground and finding yourself in a Christian cemetery 2000 years ago, is something that leaves its mark. The tour with Andrea then continued along the Appian Way until reaching the aqueduct park, I had never seen a Roman aqueduct so closely! Rome always manages to surprise me
Andrea proposed us to do this tour, describing the places we would see as among the most beautiful in Rome. When he told us “satisfied or refunded” he convinced us! We saw monuments, parks, places of worship that we didn't even know existed. The catacombs of St. Callixtus were an unforgettable experience, thousands of niches dug into the tuff, entire underground “churches”, even a chapel with many popes buried. After visiting the park of the ancient Appia we still had time, and Andrea showed us the park of the aqueducts, where many Roman aqueducts are still visible, some still in operation after 2000 years. Having a room available and a vintage car was indispensable for the visit, there is not much public transport in the area.
We enjoyed the tours we did with Andrea so much, that we decided to book this too. Andrea is experienced and friendly, but we already knew this! What was amazing was discovering a corner of Rome that we didn't think existed. The suggestive catacombs, the ruins of the ancient Appia and the wonderful church of San Sebastiano, scattered in the wonderful Roman countryside just 15 minutes from the city center. Also a round of applause to the guide who showed us the catacombs.
