My wife and I did this cooking class. Our instructor was Davide. This was easily one of the best experiences we have done while away on vacation. Chef was extremely knowledgable, fun to be with, and make the class enjoyable from every aspect. The food was absolutely fantastic.

This was such a great experience! So far it has been the best meal we have had, and the best part was that we made it. David was great showing us around the market while we got supplies and then walking us through how to make each dish. If you have a free afternoon and a ant a great meal then this is for you! Come hungry the portions are more then generous 😁
My husband and I enjoyed every step of the cooking class It was fun and truly a wonderful experience for both us And chef David is absolutely good, kind and very warm peraon We love to join one his classes again next time
This was a great cooking class! Starting with the tour in the market to gather the items with Roberto, to working in a great kitchen set up, I couldn't have asked for a better event. It was exactly as described. Roberto was a very easy going teacher and fun. We made a great 3 course meal that's easy enough to do at home. I definitely recommend this!
Robert was informative and charming! The food was great. I loved the hands on experience in making the pasta and taramisu. Highly recommend!
Chefs Marco and crew were terrific! Thanks for a memorable day. They went out of their way to connect us to a fine local wine trip outside of Rome for a couple days later and we truly appreciated the efforts they made on our behalf.
This cooking class was a highlight of our trip. We got to meet a young chef, Sara. She had us decide what to cook. Then we walked through the market to pick out some of the ingredients, the meats and such. Then we went back to their excellent small group kitchen. We had a wonderful time learning from Sara. She taught us to make ravioli and saltimbocca and tiramisu. It was fun and relaxed and extremely delicious. We thought the whole experience was splendid. 10 out of 10.
The chef asked us what we wanted to learn to cook. He was very easy to understand, He made it fun. We were served delicious snacks and drinks between lessons, The kitchen space is really nice. Highly recommend.
Great day all around! The market and kitchen were lovely, and David was a great teacher. It was hands-on, so I really got a feel for everything. Plus there was prosecco!
I had a wonderful instructor! My 9 year old daughter and I really enjoyed making (and eating) the delicious pasta.
This one of our favorite experiences in Italy so far! Marco was an excellent tour guide and chef. He made the experience amazing with his friendly and funny personality. Who would have known it was the small details that would make homemade pasta amazing
Our chef, David, was a gracious host, and excellent chef and teacher. Very well equipped kitchen in former private apartments. Highly recommended and a “must do.”
Really enjoyed this class, as first you go to a local food market to get the ingredients you cook with - so you feel a bit like a local too! The location of the class is in a beautiful old building and the equipment and work surfaces are great for teaching people to cook things. The main chef and the assistants were so welcoming and explained everything well. I've been wanting to learn how to prepare and cook artichokes for ages and we got to do that in our class, which was great. You make a variety of different dishes, so learn different techniques and get an understanding of how Italians make traditional dishes. Everything you make, you get to eat and it was all delicious!
It was nice to meet at the market and to learn about the different vegetables I wish we would have spent more time walking around. It’s very colorful. I loved the menu. I enjoyed making fresh pasta and learned how to prepare some ingredients I had never cooked with before. I would have liked to be more involved preparing the main dish Felipo and Teresa were great.
I and my teenager son really enjoyed this cooking class and the food afterwards. Chef Filippo was great and kindly shared tips and tricks, so I learned a lot. I am looking forwards to put all my knew knowledge into the practice, so would really appreciate if you send me all recipes we made. Thank you
This was one of the highlights of our trip! Unlike other cooking classes I saw when I was searching for one, this one first meets at an amazing market (I recommend going early to grab some goodies) second, you choose your meal , it’s what you and your group decide on for the day (btw it’s a lot of food some come hungry) and lastly it is all hands on the chef explains what to do, shows you an example and then it is all you (of course the chef is there to help and guide when needed). Oh o forgot to mention lots of drinking!!! Just do it, you won’t regret it.
Max, could you please send us the recipes as promised? I have dinner with friends next weekend to show off all the fabulous skills you taught me and can’t do without them! It was the mini calzoni, Cavatelli, the meat meal and the vanilla ice cream.
We had an amazing time at this class. From the wonderfully fun walk through the market to the incredible dessert, this is a must for all the cooks out there. Felipo was so very entertaining, the staff were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this event.
It was a super experience and Filipe as a fantastic cook. a lot of tips and tricks to take with us back home. thanks to you all
The class started out a little rocky. We, along with the instructor, met at the market only to find it was closed! (Such is life in Rome during August) He improvised by arranging for a cab for us and we went to a local Eataly to shop there, which was quite fun. Based on the preferences of the group (we were a small group - just 8 of us) he chose the ingredients for the menu. We then went back to the cooking school, where a member of the management team was there to personally apologize for the mix up (which was clearly not their fault - the market hours listed indicated it should have been open). The cooking school was wonderful - there was plenty of space for all 8 of us to work. We cooked a delicious meal which included 3 courses and dessert. I cook quite a bit and was worried that the experience would be too basic. But, it was not - I learned new things and the instructor also took the time to teach our girls some techniques - we all had a great time. The meal itself was outstanding. While we did help to prepare it, the chef/instructor put the finishing touches on and it really felt like we had a private chef preparing a gourmet meal for us. We ate in a dining room separate from the kitchen, which was also quite nice. Our instructor/chef was personable, warm and great fun to get to know. I would absolutely recommend this experience!
We had a nice time, with an friendly cook, who took us to the market and the butcher first. What we did not like was the planned visit to two market stalls, obviously with the intention to let us buy there something. But after that, it was a pleasure to follow the class. We made delicious food end after the class, we had a nice lunch together. Absolutely value for money. I had the cokking class together with my sons ( 34, 32 and 32 years, we all liked it)
We met Adri (our chef) at the market on a sunny winter day and decided together what we were going to cook. We learned a lot about typical vegetables we didn't know (broccoletti, puntarelle and lots of other wild salad types), sicilian tomatoes and the meat you use for ossobuco. The modern cooking school is in a beautiful ancient buildung three steps away from the market and we started right away with a caffé... We cooked three different types of artichokes, made ravioli with broccoletti and ricotta, ossobuco and a semifreddo/vanilla and lemon. Adri was very nice, explained everything – also scientifically, if needed –, he is very much into regional, 0 km, vegetarian – but doesn't try to make people think the way he does. We had a lovely time with him and everything was delicious. Mille grazie!
Together with my 3 sons (34, 32 and 32 years) we celebrated my birthday in Rome and did this course. Nice job, shopping first, then great cooking. Of course I ate everything myself. Was a nice experience. Shopping at the market was also fun, except for the planned visits to two market stalls (oil and kitchen utensils) where it was obviously the intention that we would buy something. That can come out as far as we're concerned. Friendly cook, it was all nice and tasty.
