Explore Rome On A Golf Cart: Private Tour

My husband and I had only a short time to tour Rome. We wanted to see as much as possible in a short amount of time. This tour allowed for us to hit the main spots. Isaac was fantastic! He gave us the history of the city, let us stop for pics, and even made a fantastic dinner suggestion.! We felt like celebrities in the 1920 Ford Model T golf cart!! I would have no hesitation in doing this again. It is a MUST do!

Great way to get around Rome and see all the high points. The golf cart is very fun and attracts a lot of attention. Our guide was knowledgeable and thoughtful.

Took the Model T, great tour with Vincent who was wonderful! Hit several major sites quickly and was able to get a good lay of the land. The Model T is cool, a great conversation starter. Be aware though it has a very harsh suspension which is pretty tough on the cobbled streets, not great if you have back issues etc...

Isaac was wonderful! It was our first day in rome, so we were exhausted after an overnight flight. Isaac set a perfect tone taking us to see one beautiful sight after another. We were able to stop for pictures when we wanted to, or just relax and take in a magnificent city. Thank you Isaac!

We loved Ariana!!! We had a private tour for a for person group. She was fun, funny, so informative, thoughtful, and made the experience exceptional! We went at 4pm, so had sunset and some beautiful views of sites lit up! 100% recommend!!!

Great fun in the evening with all the lights, and light traffic. The transport was a model T replica which i would have been sorry to miss. Tourists were taking pictures of us as we went by. Ariana, our guide and driver, was great fun and made it interesting and memorable for all of us. Highly recommended for all ages, especially at the start of a visit to get a good overview of Tome.

We had the best time exploring Rome. The tour guide was very kind and professional. I recommend it to everyone since you see the whole city in couple of hours and get a well oriented idea about all important sites.

The experience was great. The only issue I had was difficulty communicating with the tour operator prior to the tour. I texted through the app, but did not receive any response. I had to reach out to Viator directly to get in touch with the tour operator. Otherwise, it was a great experience! Isaac and Daniela were awesome!

The guide was friendly, pleasant and flexible about timing, but she did not have the expected knowledge of Rome or the tour locations. At one point she said “I’ve never been in there” referring to one of the major historical sites. She did not provide much information generally. We paid more for a private, full experience and basically got a ride around Rome. The hotel pick up and drop off were helpful.

We had a great time zipping around Rome on this golf cart tour! It was a fantastic experience that showed us some brand-new sites we hadn't seen before, which was a wonderful surprise. Our guide was highly engaging and provided excellent historical context and stories along the way. Navigating the city this way made it so easy to get close to major landmarks—like the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and Pantheon—while effortlessly discovering hidden corners of the city that you'd miss on a standard bus tour. It is an absolute must-do if you want to see a lot of Rome in a short amount of time. Highly recommend!

It’s bumpy! The driver guide was great didn’t have to walk anywhere, but just a little saw lots that I would never have found great recommendations for restaurants and churches

I booked this tour on our first day in the city. It was the perfect way to all of the highlights. Izaak was an amazing guide! He was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond for my family. I was with some older people so walking for long periods is a challenge but thanks to this tour we were able to get up close and see everything. Would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to see the city without so much walking

We booked this on Viator and the tour operator didn’t notify us that there was a marathon scheduled the tour day and could impact the tour attractions. We only found out of the marathon an hour before the tour start by the driver. If we had known ahead of time that the tour could be impacted, then we may have selected a different tour. The tour operator should have told us when I booked it days earlier. We ended up only seeing 1 attraction of the listed 8 due to road closures. Again, the tour operator should have known what roads would be closed because these are posted in advance. The driver did the best he could and I don’t fault him at all. However, when I requested a 50% refund from the tour operator given seeing only 1 of 8 attractions, I was awarded only 20%. I thought 50% was very generous and I’m very disappointed in this operator for providing so much less.

The day of the event was a marathon and we did not know this. Because it was a marathon, there were many road closures and, as such, we didn’t see most of the attractions. The driver was great and did the best he could and I do not fault him at all. However, the tour operator should have notified us when we booked the reservation that a marathon was planned that day and may adversely impact the tour. That would then allow us the opportunity to choose a different one. Instead, we found out 1 hour before the tour starting. When I requested a 50% refund, I felt this was VERY fair given we only saw 1 attraction on the provided list of 8, I was only given 20%. I do not feel that is fair of the operator given they knew this event was to take place and didn’t tell us in advance and road closures are also posted in advance so they should have known the impact.

This is a great way to see the highlights in a short amount of time. Our guide Marco was amazing. He even recommended the best pizza for dinner. He made our short time in Rome unforgettable!!

This was the worst tour I’ve ever experienced. The driver was twenty minutes late and the tour was only two hours of driving around the outskirts of the city not seeing one of the well known tourist locations. Granted this was not the drivers fault, there were road closures due to a marathon, but the operator should not have allowed a tour to be booked for that time if the tour was not possible. What was supposed to be a three hour tour was only two hours because the driver ran out of places to go. While driving around the outskirts the driver then proceeded to tell us that she believed the coliseum had been built by giants who had been killed by the Vatican, who were now keeping those secrets hidden and other insane conspiracies, including that Epstein was an alien who drank the blood of children. After this horrible experience I requested a refund, which was denied. I’ve done many tours like this all over the world, including a different golf tour in Rome, and I’ve never been so disappointed. I highly recommend booking with another group.

Our guide arrived promptly, no issues there. I expected golf cart due to title of tour and we had antique car instead which was not preferred. The confirmation indicated specifically what we would see. Of those stops we did NOT see Pantheon, Spanish Steps, Vatican and others. The things she’d did take us to were not what we expected.Upon arrival guide states if police stop us, we should say panoramic tour not historical to police. Apparently this wasn’t licensed I booked via Viator to ensure safety and legitimate.That is outrageous and inappropriate! For amount this cost, extremely disappointing.

We needed two vehicles so we had a golf cart and an antique car. Both our tour guides were wonderful. They were accommodating and very knowledgeable. Best way to see Rome.

Would never have been able to walk to all the sites and so highly recommend this tour! It was so funny as many people took pics of us in the golf cart as it’s so cool !!

We book this activity to the day we arrived in Rome, and due to airport delays - arrived late. Our guide kindly waited for us and drove us through Rome to show us the highlights and help us get the lay of the land.

We didn’t time this quite right as our family was still very much dealing with jet lag. I think this would be a great experience for those traveling with individuals limited in their mobility or ability to cover ground between the various Rome sights. Our family ended up covering the city on foot and could spend more time at the places we wanted to enjoy further. It was nice to have admission to Trevi Fountain included.

What a surprise when Marianna, our tour guide, pulled up in an electric model T. She was fantastic and we enjoyed our time withnher. Sh eas so knowledgeable and took us tomplaces we never would have seen. Highly recommend this tour group and especially Marianna!!!!!

If you can, take the private tour at night with Isaac! He took us around all the great sights plus Rome at night is electric! We went in the cutest electric Model T and loved it. We got lots of attention! Isaac was kind enough to wait for us as we ran late-even stopped for pastries and gelato!

This tour was worth every cent. Even though I was exhausted, it was amazing and the exhaustion disappeared. Beautiful sights and experience. Daniel was and amazing host. Highly recommend.

Our host was friendly and knew his way around Rome. We saw lots of the beautiful sights all lit up at night. We made a couple stops for pictures and he was very accommodating. It would have felt more like a premium private experience if he had been a bit more polished, spoke a little better English and been better dressed.

Was to be picked up at our hotel at 10:00 Never happened Had our hotel call they informed had to meet at some square had to take cab arrived 10:30 never got in colliseum never got in trevi fountain Never even got to vatican We basically drove around bumpy streets I asked driver what about vatican said dont have time have another tour at 12:30 We ended up walking around Rome a bit got pizza and glass wine later ice cream Was extremely upset What we paid months ago was not worth it Had our travel agent lodge complaint when got back home to Canada for refund Our travel agent found out night before then sent email to laptop at home the night before at 7:25 p.m. couldnt pick up at hotel Viator never informed hotel in Rome to let us know My husband is 79 I am 74 not able to do this again TOO EXHAUSTING

Only have a few hours? Fantastic tour to see all the sites! Leave most of the walking to other tourists.

We got to see all the famous parts of the city, and a few hidden gems. Our driver was Gabriel and he was awesome. This was one of our favorite activities in Rome.

Booked this last minute when an accident at the colosseum required a change in our plans. It was a happy find! Great way to see the major sites with a quick overview and guide to answer questions.

Perfect day since we only had 24 hours in Venice! Our driver was knowledgeable and allowed us to get out at each stop and take our picture!

Fun tour around terrible traffic in Rome. Our driver’s assistant was well versed in architectural history. We cruised by the main sights and had a fun time people watching. They also stopped at a few vistas for great views of Rome.

Ariana was really nice and very knowledgeable about Rome and all the places to see. We really enjoyed our tour and would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Rome. The classic golf cart was really nice and an eye catcher.

Our guide, Arianna was wonderful and we had such a beautiful car that others were taking pictures and videos of us! My only complaint would be that visitors should be aware that a golf cart through cobblestone roads is a very bumpy ride so if you have motion sickness, this wouldn't' be a good excursion. Its a great excursion to do when you arrive somewhere so you get a great overview and then you can go to individual sites as you wish for a longer time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our city tour with Adriano! He was very knowledgeable, professional and prompt. He spoke English very well and we learned a lot about the history and the people of the beautiful city of Rome. It was a lot of fun touring the city in the electric 1920 Model T Ford, which, ironically, my husband’s great grandfather used to own as his regular car, so this brought back wonderful memories for him. I would strongly recommend doing this tour first upon your arrival to Rome and then in subsequent days, visit the many historical sites in detail at your leisure. Grazie mille Adriano!

It is amazing and takes about 3 hours. You will get a ticket for Tree fountain that you can use that day or any other day.
