Marcello was FANTASTIC! Super knowledgeable and helpful as we had to help part of our group catch up to us. 10/10!

Itinerary
Visit the Vatican Museums with fast entry, in the first available access of the day.
This courtyard gets its name from the enormous bronze Pinecone sculpture that dominates it. Don't miss Alfredo Pomodoro's famous Sphere within Sphere while you are here. Ask your guide to give it a spin for you!
Don't miss Arnaldo Pomodoro's Sphere within a Sphere. Variations of this sculpture can be found in many settings around the world. Ask your guide to give it a spin for you!
The most famous wing of the Vatican Museums, the Pio Clementino museum contains much of the Museum's most important highlights. Your guide will take you through the Room of the Animals, where you can spot the life-like statues of fauna from around the world. Head to the Octagonal Courtyard where a small fountain trickles in the background of famous statues like the Laocoonte and Apollo Belvedere. Don't forget to look at the Candelabra Gallery - master painters decorated these ceilings to create the illusion of a 3D effect centuries ago!
Head with your guide to the Gallery of the Maps and get a perspective of the world how it was five centuries ago. These exquisitely detailed, hand-painted giant maps are a favorite of the Vatican Museums. See if you can find the Italian cities you have visited, or spot the nod to Christopher Columbus' journey to the Americas.
Raphael painted these rooms with incredible frescoes, originally meant for the private rooms of Pope Julius II.
No guides are able to speak inside the Sistine Chapel. However, your guide will prepare you in advance for your free time inside so you'll know what to look for.
Your visit ends close to where it began, after the spiral staircase at the entrance to the Vatican Museums.
When option is selected, access is provided to St Peter's Basilica, skipping the lines. A tour is not provided inside the Basilica, only access. Your visit will end at the steps of St. Peter's Square with an introduction made by your guide after which you will be on your own to continue exploring.
Only for options that explicitly include St. Peter's Basilica: Your tour will include access to St. Peter's Basilica through a special exit from the Sistine Chapel, allowing you to bypass the usual long entry lines. Please note that this access does not include a guided tour inside the Basilica.

Thank you martina for an enjoyable tour
Cristina was an excellent guide! Not only did she have profound knowledge of the Basilica, its treasures, and the history but also shared personal experiences that added a human touch to the tour. Not my first time at the Vatican and yet I learned a lot.
Martina was a fabulous tour guide! Knowledgeable and fun as well. Treasured our time with her.
Aiko was a great guide. Very insightful.
Nicoletta was amazing and an incredible guide. The first access tour is worth it before all the crowds!
Nicoletta was amazing! We enjoyed our time.
Our tour was wonderful. Our guide was knowledgeable and tailored the trip to our group. He knew how to navigate the crowds with ease. Such a valuable experience. Worth the price for sure!
The experience was nice and interesting, plenty to see. However, I did not realize it would be so long with plenty walking.
Great tour with a fantastic guide really brought it to life Fred knew his stuff but also brought a sense of humour to the tour
Oxana was a wonderful tour guide. Totally loved our tour and would ask for her again. She has a passion for art history and we learned so many interesting bits of information on the tour.
Alberto did a great job! Very informative and knowledgeable about our tour.
Martina was an amazing tour guide, she was so knowledgeable and so funny, it made the tour even better! There was so much to see and she made sure we saw all of the best bits and more!
Great tour! Ahmed was terrific and we would highly recommend.
What a great tour! Our guide Marcello was amazing and extremely knowledgeable. We have a great morning!
Very knowledgeable guide, and excellent to be part of a small group. Early access perfect for avoiding queues and hottest part of the day
Gaga was our guide and she was an amazing and knowledgeable historian! I had done a similar tour a couple years ago and it wasn’t even close to this. Incredible tour.
Nicoletta was very good. She knows too much!!!
Patricia was our guide and we highly recommend her. Her knowledge of the Vatican Museum is remarkable and her explanation is at a perfect pace. She also pays attention to our welfare, constantly checking we are tired from standing. Highly recommended tour.
The overall experience was great. Our guide Alessia was knowledgeable, patient, funny. She took good care of each of us. Just be aware that this tour doesn't include personal guidance in the St. Peter's Basilica, rather just entrance. The guide is on your phone.
Marcella was our guide and he was great! Very informative, funny, and got us up close to everything even with the crowds! We will definitely be recommending him to our friends and family.
Great tour and skip the line was a big timesaver. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and helped us navigate as we had a young child with stroller.
Aiko was A wonderful tour guide. There weee a total of 11 in our group. My only wish is that we had longer than 15 minutes in the Sistene Chapel. But the skip the lines and information were all worth the money.
Our Tour guide was a delightful lady named Monica who works for EcoArt Travel and she was nothing short of a very proud, interesting, and very engaging, walking human encyclopedia! It is clear that she absolutely loves what she does and that made for a very special tour. We'd been through the Vatican Museums and into the Sistine Chapel a number of times prior to this, but Monica made us feel like she was taking us on a tour of her own home! Her extensive knowledge of the location, as well as the history behind so many of the pieces and locations along the way was nothing short of remarkable! This was a tour every bit as significant as the site itself! A morning very well spent!
Our tour was amazing! We were lucky enough to get Oscar who did a tremendous job guiding us through the tour with great details and facts. Since it was a three hour tour, he didn’t waste our time with uninteresting things and was aware enough to know where the AC were and where the spots were so when he talked, we were able to rest.
The tour was great. Nicoletta was wonderful and spoke clear English for the children to understand.
Great tour. Highly recommend. Our tour guide Martina was excellent at pointing out the highlights of this incredible historical landmark.
Wonderful experience. Our guide clearly loved what she does and was extremely knowledgable. It was expensive, but well worth every penny.
Martina was exceptional and very knowledgeable. She was way better than “Sandra”. 😂
Monica was very considerate with people needing extra time for mobility. The 2 minutes breaks we have for pictures were great. The day of the visit the Museum was crowded and our guide was attentive to all of us. Monica was very knowledgeable and dynamic.
We had a great experience. Oscar was an awesome guide, and I learned so many things I hadn’t known before, and I had done this to her twice before! Awesome all around!
We could not be more thankful that we booked this tour!!!! The experience was seamless from beginning to end and we absolutely adored our guide Maria Laura!!!! The meeting point was easy to find, we even grabbed a quick cappuccino across the street before it began. Once we met our guide, we walked across the street to the entrances where we were led to a special line for guided tour groups only. While we did have to wait for about 10-15 minutes (this is the line to go through security and officially enter Vatican City), our amazing guide kept it interesting! She gave us background information and explained what would happen on the tour, making the initial wait time pass quickly. If you can, book the earliest tours available— Our time was at 8:30am and were told that by 10/11, it becomes a madhouse! Once we made it through security, Laura expertly navigated through the museums hitting the highlights, providing amazing information, and answering our questions. Quick note: they provide headsets that attach to your ear allowing you to hear your guide even in the crowded spaces if you are not directly next to them! Great accessibility! The best part about this tour was our easy entry to the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica. We went straight in from the museums and did not have to wait in an additional line to enter. Since you are not permitted to speak in the Sistine Chapel, Laura explained the details ahead of time before we entered. This was great because it allowed us to notice the details that she taught us while we observed later on! I cannot express enough how worth the money this tour was. The small group of 10 is also DEFINITELY worth it— it is so crowded inside that I couldn’t imagine navigating and staying together with a larger group. This tour is highly rated and highly recommended for a reason. EcoArt hires amazing guides and creates a wonderful experience. Thank you Maria Laura and EcoArt for a wonderful morning and once in a lifetime experience! I will always remember my first trip to Vatican City fondly!
We had a wonderful guided tour with Martina. She was very knowledgeable and funny! Gave great details and kept it engaging. Would want her to do all our tours! Highly recommend the early access tour as the line moved quick and was a huge plus with the morning sun & heat.
Our tour of the Vatican Museums and St. Peter’s Basilica with Oxana (EcoArt Tours) was one of the highlights of our trip to Rome. As an art historian, Oxana brought incredible passion, expertise, and insight to every part of the experience. Her in-depth knowledge of the museum collections and the stories behind the masterpieces made the art, history, and architecture come alive in a way we never could have experienced on our own. The Vatican Museums can be overwhelming, but Oxana kept our entire family engaged throughout the tour, including our younger daughters. Her storytelling, enthusiasm, and attention to fascinating details kept us interested from start to finish. She shared perspectives and insights that you simply don’t get from most guides, making the experience both educational and unforgettable. EcoArt Tours was also exceptionally easy to coordinate with and very professional throughout the process. If you’re visiting the Vatican Museums and St. Peter’s Basilica, I highly recommend Oxana and EcoArt Tours. She is the ideal guide for these incredible sites, and we will always remember the wonderful experience she created for our family.
Martina was the best guide you could wish for. She was full of energy, enthusiastic and friendly. Amazing how she knew all the details of the many spots we visited. Her humour and lighthearted storytelling kept it fresh and interesting. We would go with her again in a heartbeat.
Well worth being able to skip the long lines. The tour did get a little long for the teenagers. It was busy, so the tour ended up being longer. However, the information provided by Lorena was great. She was very knowledgable and it was helpful to understand the background of the art. The downside to the longer tour is that by the time we were to the end and in the basilica everyone was tired and hungry. I wish we would have had spent more time the Basilica.
Both my wife and I really enjoyed the tour. Every turn there is a painting or sculpture to be blown away by. Better still to have the understanding of the pieces of artwork or structures explained by Giuseppe truely made the tour! I would highly recommend this tour
Doriana was extremely knowledgeable and gave an excellent tour!
Fred did an incredible job and took great care of my pregnant wife; making sure he found her a seat at every rest stop. Very informative and kind.
Excellent experience. Alberto our guide was excellent and walked through the exhibits at a pace suited to the group. He was a wealth of knowledge and the museums, Sistine chapel and the Basilica were breathtakingly beautiful and awesome in their stature. Overall a great tour.
Martina was a phenomenal guide. Knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. She’s the best!
Martina is so kind, funny and with so much knowledge about the tour! We were so lucky!
The Vatican tour was absolutely outstanding. Without our wonderful tour guide we wouldn’t have got anything close to the great experience that we did. We learnt so much and went away from the day feeling much more knowledgeable about the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel. It’s a brilliant tour that’s definitely worth investing in.
Martina was an amazing tour guide had a lot of positive energy and great information. We learned a lot and enjoyed our experience with her as our tour guide.!
The guide was knowledgeable and his English was very good. It seems every tour operator has a first access tour, so the Vatican was very crowded. I am glad I had an opportunity to see the Museums, the artwork is priceless. At the end of the tour, you can go back and spend more time in the museums, but you loose the shortcut access to the basilica, which we did not want to loose since the lines to get into it were very long already. The Sistine Chapel is amazing, but very crowded. You do only spend about 15 minutes there and photographs are not allowed. If you have never seen the Vatican, the tour is worth it, just be prepared that it will be very crowded.
Nicolette was a great guide. She was very energetic and knowledgeable. I learned so much which is surprising consider this was my third Vatican tour. I can recommend the tour and Nicolette more.
It was an amazing experience !!!!
Our guide Doriana was extremely informative and well versed in Roman and Vatican history. She expertly guided us while truly sharing a wealth of knowledge and insight as an archaeologist. Although we had to wait in line for St. Peter’s Basilica, the beauty and opulence of the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel were top tier. I would highly recommend this tour with Doriana!
Fred was an excellent guide. He brought to life the Vatican Museum by providing historical context. Of course we couldn't spend time looking at everything, but he helped us to see the key elements. I am afraid that the crowds, even though we started at 8am, were quite a bit overwhelming by the time we got to the Sistine Chapel.
The tour was amazing, our guide Fred was a true italian native and was absolutely passionate about the subject. He had an answer for every questions and knew basically everything about the vatican. The pace was perfect and the additional details that he pointed out were very interesting. Thumbs up!!!
