More exacting directions to your office would be very helpful. We arrived an hour late and a staff member personally walked us over to the Vatican Museum and got all 11 of us in for a self-tour as the guide was already in midst of group tour. Don’t make my mistake: TONS of hallways with incredible artifacts, so allow much more than 4 hours to tour this massive museum complex.

Absolutely stunning. So much history. Our guide was simply outstanding. Very knowledgeable, personable and friendly.
Deny was a great tour guide. She was so smart and made everyone in the group feel included. She spoke so many different languages. Excellent tour and great information provided.
Our tour guide Marco was wonderfully knowledgeable and kind. Our group was originally supposed to be a small group of 8 but turned into 20, not a huge deal to us but just something to take note on if you value that. I will preface by saying if you want a calm experience I recommend booking a private tour for 6am, once the Sistine Chapel / Museum / St. Peter’s is open, it is VERY crowded, very overwhelming at times (and this was in the fall not even summer). Beautiful artwork and our tour guide Marco had a little something to say about it all, our group had headphones that were connected to a radio speaker so we could pretty clearly hear Marco over the crowd noise. I highly recommend if you are spending a couple days in Rome to do this on a single day as the Vatican is so large you cannot just do it within a few hours, however if you only want to see the Sistine Chapel/few exhibits/St. Peters, then 3 hours would be sufficient. I do highly recommend doing a tour as it is very overwhelming inside, it is nice to have some direction!
Very good tour of the highlights of the Vatican museums, entry into the museums and the dome is included. Great background info and stories around the masterpieces.
My only complaint is the attitude of the tour operator in the main office. I’m sorry I didn’t get her name but she was very rude and abrupt with us. Additionally she changed our meet up point at the very last minute causing use to have to re-route and get to the tour late which then forced us into a later tour slot. However, the actual tour guide was amazing. Very informative and friendly.
Our guide had a very strong Italian accent and it was difficult to understand her English. She was lovely, but we took the ear buds off. Too hot. Too many people. Very difficult to capture the beauty.
Had a terrific tour of the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. The tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful at every turn. She easily handled all of the group’s questions. She also provided a great overview of St Peter’s and the modern church.
Really informative tour that made the vast expanse of the museum, Sistine chapel, and St Peter’s basilica very manageable
Worst experience with the local operator. Basically they left us behind, didn't gave me my tickets even If I lose the guide tour. They said Aviator had to responde for that and Aviator respond "we cannot do anything"
Our guide was very knowledgeable and nice. Vatican was extremely crowded but that was expected considering we went in June.
We were late. Bus arrival. Although we understand group had to leave, why dont they leave tickets at meeting point in case people show up. 20 minutes are not that terribly late, but not to even have a chance to go in is such a waste. Wont use this company again.
An amazing tour, privileged to have been shown around these historical sites by Laura. Any question or query was answered without hesitation. She went above and beyond in Saint Peter's when we wanted to post some special intentions and ensured that we were able to do so even though the tour had finished. She's a credit to your company.
The tour Organisator had waited for when our flight was delayed. The guide was nice and competent. I can only recommend booking here.
Tremendous tour .. been in one before with a different company but this one told me so much more .. our guide was terrific .. I just wish I could remember her name
Guide informative building stunning worth a visit Crowded despite it being January Tour took a while to get started
Arrived at the meeting point to be told that we had to pay an extra €70 each for entry to the Vatican - as I paid for a guided tour this seemed to be very unreasonable and no previous mention was made that the entry fee wasn’t included. To make matters worse when we enquired at another tour operator they advised that entry to the Vatican was only €21. As a result of this we didn’t get the tour and where left very disappointed
The vatican museum was an unforgettable experience. My family was totally impressed with the care and knowlege that our tour guide had.
It was pretty place to spend a day of the vacation in Rome there I would recommend it to everone, even not religious people
Disappointing Tour. Guide was a nice lady but had very average English and far too slow getting to the highlights which meant the teenagers lost interest. Seemed to want to do the tour on her terms, not ours. One of the reasons I booked this tour was it was advertised as a bit shorter than others but it went way over in time. I was also a bit surprised to have to pay extra for VATICAN entry when we arrived at the Quo Vadis offices as assumed this was covered but it was in the small print so fair enough I suppose…. But the advertised price is arguably misleading. Guide Didn’t have a good understanding of the Vatican layout in terms of whether earpieces could be rented, location of cafés/ restaurants etc. Basic stuff she should know. She did have very good knowledge of the museums and their content but struggled to communicate it well and in a timely fashion. I would not recommend this tour, especially for families with teenagers.
The guide was very good explaining and pointing out certain things. I had been without a guide the first time I went to the Vatican. The guid is worth taking.
Paulo has an unbelievable amount of knowledge and was able to answer any questions. He especially took his time and care listening to our 6 year old twins and showing them what he thought they would enjoy too. The office were so friendly and there is no way we would have learnt so much in those two hours without them. Worth every penny!
This was the best tour we could do. The lines are so long and the groups are so big. We skipped all the lines including the skip the line, line. To have a small group and to have the opportunity to ask our questions and see what we wanted to see was priceless. The Vatican and Sistine Chapel can be overwhelming, but they are so beautiful. I wouldn’t miss this. We took a tour about 15 years ago and didn’t have a private tour and were crushed by the crowds. This was much better.
Time used to perfection. The museum and the Chapel are a must but there is much too see, a guided tour is the best choice to see most in an orderly manner. Specially if your stay in Rome is short. Everything worked all right for my wife and I
We are really glad about the tour service due to the knowledge of the tour guide. Francesca is really professional when telling the story of the Vatican. I know that the service is not included with the Vatican ticket, but we are really satisfied and enjoy during the tour. Francesca is very kind to us, especially to my mother. Thus, I really recommend for those who want to have a small-group tour and bring the family.
Booked this tour online before we went. Got to the vatican and asked an official guide to confirm meeting point. We were told to meet at this point for 12 and we were early. As 12 came around no one arrived, we went back to the vatican guide who rang the number at the bottom of the receipt, we were advised we were at the wrong location and the tour had left? I contacted Quo Vadis Tour on my return who advised that we were in the wrong, location and they had waited for us for half an hour and as such we will not get a refund. Confusing?? We managed to book locally with another company which was excellent. Additionally please note the charge does not include actual entrance into the vatican, that is extra.
It is the dirty trick of this QUO VADIS TOUR to not include the entrance fee for the Vatican, so you have to pay an other €24 per person on arrival. The tour itself however by Francesca is excellent. On this tour you will not see the famous round stairways many people want to take a picture of.
The people who run this tour are top notch. They were super friendly, they went out to find the last few people for our group who were a bit lost. The group was small and the tour guide was exceptional. She ensured that we understand the critical parts of the museum which is vast, took us out to the educational panels despite the rain so that we had a full art lesson before going into the sistine chapel. I didn't mind that the tickets to the Vatican were not included - we got great value from the tour as well as skipping so many of the huge queues and had an audio guide service. It was both a history and art lesson wrapped up in this tour. It would have taken me weeks of research to get near to the value of this tour had I visited the Vatican on my own.
It would not have been possible to see so much without our excellent guide and being in a very small group. A bit pricey though.
We enjoyed the tour itself, very interesting, and our guide, Francesca very friendly and a mine of information. But on arriving at the tour operator's office and discovering we had to pay extra to get our tickets was a nasty surprise! T.A's description of what's included in the price when booking the tour was not clear. The additiobal cost is the charge to actually enter into the grounds of the Vatican. Why not include this in the actual description and booking of the tour? Would be so much clearer and a better trade description!
Had no idea there was a meeting point 1.3 miles away from the Vatican. We automatically went to the Vatican looking for the tour. Called the office and tried to get another booked and got hung up on 3 times.
Our guide Freedrico was so knowledgeable and helpful. The tour is amazing, I would recommend arriving 10/15 minutes earlier than your scheduled time as we didn't and missed our start, no problem though as the tour operator put us with another group, just meant we started an hour later than planned. Be exoected to pay when you arrive for the tour as I believe the money payed to trip advisor is your vatican tickets. Not so many ques first thing in the morning
This was a great tour!!! Alma was an exceptional tour guide!!! Super knowledgeable and answered any questions we had!!! Would highly recommend!!!
Not having read the reservation thoroughly we were surprised to pay for entry to the museum and chapel. Why would we need a guided tour if we did not have the entry... However, after having waited an hour for the tour to begin we had a great experience with Gabriel. He knew a lot about the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel. All in all the tour lasted for almost 4 hours.
I believe the main thing for the whole group of 8 was to see the Sistine Chapel. However, it took almost 4 hours before we were there and by that time the whole group was both very tired and also overwhelmed with all the data and input we had seen and digested until then. We had three kids (ages 11-14) in the group and it was too much not only for them but also for the adults. For example, the tour could have been shortened a bit from the beginning: there was too much details about why the Vatican was built where it was built and explaining very many details about dozens of paintings. We did appreciate the knowledge of our guide - it would have been just nice to adjust the amount of information for the group. It was just too much.
BE AWARE: Firstly, the start time the leaving time, be at the meeting point at least 15 minutes prior. (We arrived at the starting time as per our ticket, but the tour had left. We jumped on the next tour 30min later without any issues.) Secondly, this purchase only covers the guide and skip the line. You will need to pay for entry to the museum and chapel, which we purchased at the starting point at official price €24 each). After all that, The tour itself was excellent, very historically informative and accommodating to questions. It never felt rushed even in busy areas. Our guide Alfredo was awesome, and it was definitely worth going.
Maria was an excellent tour guide. She was extremely knowledgeable and shared that knowledge in a manner that was easily comprehended. In addition, she was very good in keeping the group intact (despite the efforts of some to wander away now and then) and navigating us through the crowds. The negative, which is not a reflection on Maria, is that her microphone did not function properly on several occasions. The other negative was just the sheer volume of visitors from all of the tours and individual visits. I wish there would be a limit, but that will probably never happen. Overall, Maria is to be commended, and I would recommend this tour to others.
I love a good tour but to be honest, after finishing the front of line tour I wished I had just queued like every other budget traveller. The talking went forever. Why doesn’t a front of line tour just get you to the Sistine chapel and that’s it. We wrote off a half day, were fatigued and frustrated at the end and a day after, I can’t remember a thing said. I would not do this tour again
Maggie was our tour guide through this service and I would highly recommend for navigating the Vatican Museums and we’ll as the Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s Basilica. Efficient, friendly and super knowledgeable I would book this tour again for family and friends.
Tour guide was super nice, funny, and informative! We all had a great time! Tour guide really went out of her way to explain details and skip the “boring parts.” Would definitely recommend!
The small group tour was excellent and the tour guide (Roberto) was charming and knowledgable. He looked after us very well and answered any questions with interest and enthusiasm. I would recommend booking in advance but beware you will pay more on top at the booking office because the prebooking charge is for entry not for the tour. I guess you can do it yourself but you won’t know what you’re looking at. :) Enjoy 😊
Me and my friend were a few minutes late to our meeting point but they were still able to squeeze us in. The process was really easy and the lady who led us to meet our group was always easy to talk to. Roberto was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable about the Vatican. Easy going tour and would recommend!
Misleading price since we had to pay 23 Euros on top of 22 Pounds we paid to Viator. The lady in the tour office was helpful and cheerful though. A very small group in the tour. The tour itinerary was good and the tour guide was good and very helpful. We skipped the line. The only downside was that we struggled hard to understand his accent. It was a English tour .
We got there for 10:00am and there were different prices and we were approached by tour reps. I would definitely recommend buying a two hour tour which included a informative tour guide along with a queue jump into Sistine Chapel. I paid around 52 Euro I had headphones and could here the tour guide explain the significance of each statue and the history behind it. If you are a student do bring your NUS and evidence you’ll get discounted rates. What I would recommend to individuals is to go as early as possible 8:30am will be quiet and it does close at 14:30 so best to not rush and once your tour guide leaves you in the Sistine Chapel you can stay as long as you like. This tour was the highlight of my stay and I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting for the first time. If you’re good online you can buy the tour online too. (Sorry can’t remember the tour company!) Hope this is helpful.
The information about the price is not accurate. We were not aware that the ticket for the Vatican is not included in the price and that we would need to pay additional 21 euros per person for it. When I talked to the sales person about it she was aware of the problem but didn't really care about it.
We arrived a bit late to the tour operator’s office, but our group was gracious enough to wait for us. Our tour guide Francesca was very informative, and even offered us some extra information about St Peter’s Church despite it not being part of the tour. Overall, we ran over the expected 2 hours (I recommend planning for about 4 hours, to include this tour and possible exploration afterwards, as St. Peter’s Dome is separate), but it was well worth it, as our tour guide showed us a lot of the museum that we would have missed if we were by ourselves. The Sistine Chapel, as expected, was beautiful, and the world’s largest statue/sculpture gallery, which is part of the tour, is very underrated, as well as the gallery of maps, which was amazing. We didn’t realise the value of the “Skip the line” part of our tickets until we walked out onto St. Peter’s square after the tour and saw the queues almost encircling the square. Really worth the money. We were lucky enough to have a group of 4, but the company try to limit group numbers to 12, which I thought was key to delivering a good quality tour. Very grateful to this business.
The tour was very profeshional, as a small group we could see more objects, that in usual tours. All our guestions were answered. Evrything was just great!
We met at Quo Vadis office and walked to the venue, however we then had to wait about an hour even though we had booked to skip the queues because we had missed our time slot, not our fault as we all turned up at the office by the time given. The tour should have taken 1.5 - 2 hours buut after 2.5 hours we were still several chambers from the chapel. We asked if we could go ahead without the guide as some of the group had other things planned, but were told no we HAD to stay together. After another hour most of the group just told the guide we were going no ahead without her. I understand why she was annoyed, however we were all in Rome for a short period of time and had planned to fit in as much as we could, that is exactly why we had booked and paid for a specific time, and as knowledgeable as the guide was we were treated like school children and had paid for the privilege. When we got to the Sistine, without the guide, it was amazing and absolutely well worth the visit.
We booked the tour at 8.30 but somehow when we arrived we were told we could not go because the sistine chappel was not available that morning. One hour later we were dropped at a different tour operator who could take us. Organisationwise it was chaotic but in the end we skipped the line and had an interesting tour even though it was quite busy.
We met Francesca at the office of the tour guides. She took our payment and then took us for a short walk to where the tour would begin. Francesca was so friendly and funny and full of information on the short walk. Our actual tour guide was called Deborah and despite the fact that we were in a rather large group (27 of us) she did a fantastic job of keeping us together and ensuring that we could all hear her and she took the time to answer each and every question that we all came up with. Highly recommended
