Our guide was a lady from Russia (can't remember her name). She was funny. She gave out some historical facts while we sipped prosecco. Asked questions. Lots of laughs. Bim celiac so the restaurant was able to accommodate me (GF pasta & pizza). Would recommend

Lots of Laughter, lots of great food, and lots of drinks. This is the best tour we had on our 2 weeks in 5 countries! You get interesting history your other guides left out, plus the sexual history too. You learn all the specifics on how a brothel worked, plus more. We enjoyed it and would have loved to hang out longer with our new friend.

BEST!TOUR!EVER! I have never been on a tour filled with so much fun, laughter, great food, and alcohol! OMG. My entire group has been raving about how great this tour was and the most fun we have ever had learning history. If history was taught like this, I'd remember more of it. Elvira, our tour guide, top notch. She was engaging, funny, and even after the tour, helped us find our way back to the bus stop. Eni and his wife were awesome. We left wishing we weren't visiting and could make all three of them lifelong friends. The pasta and pizza was amazing. The sadness that overcame us because we realized we haven't been eating pizza and pasta the way it was intended at all. This is how its supposed to taste. And the stories we learned were intriguing and left us wanting to know more. Truly full of the scandalous accounts that were not in my history book. This is one for the books and will become a life-long memory. Fabulous!

This was one of the main highlights of our time in Rome. The tour guide was super informative, entertaining, and laid back. It was fun to do this with another couple that we met on the tour and we ended up hanging out with them even after the tour was over. Would recommend to other adult couples coming to Rome and looking for a different kind of history of this amazing city. Must not be easily offended.

My wife and I couldn’t think of a better way to end our trip than this tour. One of the most incredible values I’ve seen on anything let aline the tours. We had already done a couple of different excursions and walking tours across the city of Rome, even some with overlap to this particular tour, but it was full of funny and interesting information. It was a different way to experience Rome. It wasn’t hamstrung by the extreme heat. It was brought to you with levity and fun by people who care both about the history and the tour itself, deeply. It started out with fun insights and frankly more accurate retellings of different areas that we had visited. The guide used resources to tell the stories and give visuals. Moreover, Eni was fun. The husband and wife team had a playful banter that kept things grounded and down to Earth. So many tours that we had on our trip it was almost impossible to ask a question or create a conversation. It was so hard to feel like it was OK to interrupt the flow and derail the journey with the rest of the group. We had a small group, but they poured into the experience for us in a way that I feel like really separated this tour from the others we had. As a history buff I thoroughly enjoy being able to discuss things with somebody who cared a lot and knew a lot while my wife also enjoyed just being able to experience the nightlife of the city get away a little bit from the heat and partake it as many drinks as we could fit into the time with someone who matched that energy. Most tours are not a “social” experience. The tour guide knew the restaurant owner where we had the best pizza of the trip, introduced us, rented out a private bar with an excellent mixologist, and even got us into the ice bar as the tour wound down. My wife and I are 2 fairly outgoing people that just spent three weeks basically with just one another and while we absolutely love spending time with one another, having somebody else to be a part of it and to share and give us insights on the city, especially the fun ones and silly ones as well as the deeply interesting and historical ones. I would recommend this tour to anybody, but especially those who are looking to experience Rome in a different way. People who want to talk and have questions and are enthusiastic both about people and the potential stories from Rome. I know, 20 years from now, the fun and interesting stuff from this tour is going to be the make up of dinner conversations for us. I think the tour guides are talented enough to adapt to any group, or people, but for us it was awesome to talk to people who we felt a kinship with.

The hosts were so knowledgeable and so sweet, they made sure we got to all of our locations safely after most of us were too drunk to figure it out on our own

Was looking for a fun way to experience Rome as a solo traveler and it was by far one of the most memorable experiences of my trip. The historical information and places we visited, in addition to the food and beverages, made it a truly perfect experience. I have led many student trips over the years and this was the adult version of the most memorable student tour ever.

We love the Drunk History Show so we had to do this tour! We had so much fun and actually learned some little know history about the Romans. The guide was fabulous and funny and made sure we all had a great time. We recommended the tour to everyone we met.

I'll skip to the important part. You'll be blown away by this tour (wait, did I say "blown" lol). I was literally picking my jaw off the ground from hearing about the sordid history of Roman love, marriage, sex and the unbelievable pursuits of carnal pleasure. And who better to deliver it than your guide Eni and his boss and lovely bride Magda. They should be a comedy team. There timing and delivery on all the fun facts and information kept me rolling in laughter. There were times I was blushing and I never blush at this kind of stuff. I won't spoil anything. Just go. Seriously, just go. Food, drink, super small groups and no need for the headphone earpiece like on most tours. Want to learn things they never cover on history channel? Book it. Got questions? Ask them. Want visuals? Get ready for them. Again, just book it. You won't regret it. I've been on a 5 week vacation all over Italy, France and Spain and this was the most fun of the zillion tours my wife and I took. It was the second tour we took with Roman guides after the ultra awesome "Colosseum Arena Edition Roman Forum and Palatine Hill Small Group" tour a few days prior. That one is fantastic too. Book em all!

It was very interesting to learn about this side of Roman history! And yes you get to drink enough to get a nice buzz lol. And you get to have a great meal with pizza and pasta!

SO FUN! An absolute must! It was a mixture of history, architecture, and the crazy sexual history that shaped us all. This is great for couples, singles, and anyone who’s looking for history with a good sense of humor at the some time. Tours can get old and this was the perfect mix up of history and fun!

Wonderful! Absolutely amazing! Loved the vibe and the history and knowledge of Eni, the tour guide. Have a drink, talk about ancient naughtiness - have another drink and see (tasteful) photos of interesting, ummm, "techniques and contraptions." Drink some more, get to know each other and just become life long friends! What a great way to break the ice in Rome, to learn a lot and to meet some fun people!!

We had an absolute blast on this tour. I think we interrupted the guide too many times for him to actually educate us, but we took away the important stuff. This tour was light hearted and a great way to end our Europe trip. We had nice drinks, and good food, and fantastic company in our tour guides. I would recommend this tour.

My host, Eni was well-informed and quite animated about all of the sordid details of the horned-up lives of the emperors. He and his lovely wife Magda made a fun and interesting tour for us, and took us to great spots for history, food, and drinks. One of the best tours I’ve ever taken, and I look forward to coming back to Rome and taking other tours with them!

One of our favorite experiences in Rome! We had such a great time, ended up only being 3 of us on the tour and by the end felt like we had a night out with friends. Great food and drinks with super interesting stories, a must do!

We started the evening with an amazing welcome shot, then for almost an hour our glasses kept being refilled with prosecco while the guide told stories you don’t hear every day about ancient Rome: incest, the real cause of the fire of Rome, and much more. On the way to the second stop, we walked along the Imperial Forums—at night it was almost empty and absolutely stunning. Once at the bar, we had spritz and pizza, perfect for “soaking up” a bit of the alcohol, while the guide shared fascinating stories about ancient Roman weddings. At the final stop, the cocktails were insane—we each had one, and it was already plenty! And the souvenirs we got? No spoilers 😜. Absolutely a must if you want to discover the spicy, lesser-known history of Rome while having a blast!

WORTH IT!!! This is the best tour i’ve ever been on. This adorable couple will 100000% bring the vibes and alcohol. Our group are girls who know how to drink and they made sure we were satisfied!! Absolutely loved every second of the tour. From the beginning we were overlooking the Colosseum with multiple bottles of wine. Throughout the whole time our group was living it up and we would all do it again!! If you don’t know if it is worth it, it is.

This late-night tour with Eni and Magda was so much fun! It was our second tour with Eni — his Colosseum Underground tour was so good that we decided to book this one too. It didn’t disappoint. It felt like going out for drinks with a couple of new friends who kept sharing fascinating and scandalous stories about Ancient Rome. A perfect break from the typical daytime “hike the ruins or museum” type tours. I will definitely look up more tours with Eni and RomanGuides or DrunkenHistoryRome next time I’m in Rome!
