Delicious Roman Dinner After Juicy Roman History

The tour guide was awesome Geneva ( misspelled I’m site!) was attentive, happ and full of spectacular knowledge. Would not have been the same with out you as our lead !!!

Grateful for a tour on Christmas. The guide was full of energy and gave pretty good insight on history of Rome. Although we could not hear her some of the time. It might be a little pricey for what you get. Quick history at the meeting point with wine. Then walk over to the Pantheon- then off to where Julius c. was killed. The a meal nearby that was average - probably $40 meal with wine? Our tickets were $90 - so was the tour worth $50? Probably not.

We were so pleased with our tour & dinner! Nihan was so welcoming & knowledgeable. She had fun stories to share & was great to speak to about living in Rome. The beverages along the tour were great & the dinner was one of the best of our entire trip through Europe.

My husband, adult sone and myself did this tour during our visit to Rome. Our guide did such a wonderful job in showing us interesting places and sharing interesting history with us on our way to our dinner. We ended up being part of a larger group. This group had just landed in Rome that day and needless to say needed sleep. There were several in the group that were quite rude to our tour guide unnecessarily. The tour was exactly as explained in the description and we enjoyed our time despite having to endure the rude guests. I do recommend this tour to those coming to Rome who would like to have a nice tasty dinner and learn about Rome along the way!

This tour was so much fun! Nihan has so much energy and knowledge about the areas we visited, and she keeps you engaged the entire time. Learning about the site of Caesar’s assassination over limoncello was my personal highlight. The dinner at the end of the night was also wonderful! I would definitely recommend this tour.

Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. She was very eager to do her job well. She did speak quickly with an Italian accent which made it difficult for some of us to follow her stories. It was rainy which made folks even more antsy. Nice restaurant with excellent food to conclude the tour. Would suggest changing to a restaurant closer to the final stop (excavation site) to reduce walk, especially in the dark at night during the winter. We had 16 people trying to follow a guide, in the dark, in the rain and it was a bit stressful.

Phenomenal experience! Sylvia was such a great guide with so much charisma and energy. Her enthusiasm for the city of Rome and its history really helps bring the stories to life. From the birth of the city to the beginning of the Empire, she really brought the stories to life. I was very lucky and ended up being the only person on the tour (some others cancelled) and it was a fantastic tour with great sparkling wine and limoncello! An absolute must in Rome. The food was phenomenal. Great quality and simply great! I highly recommend!! Hats off to Sylvia, she was outstanding!

This was our first time in italy and we booked this tour for the first night of the trip. Meeting point was easy to find. Nihan is very friendly and charismatic. The content was interesting and listening to the tour was fun and entertaining. Conversation was easy among the group. The restaurant for dinner was charming and had a good atmosphere. I got the carbonara and my husband got the red sauce pasta. Both were delicious and filling. The appetizers, dessert, and wine were also delish! I would do this tour again if I ever find myself back in Rome!

The title is the wrong way around, first you have the walking tour around bits of Rome with wine to keep you company. Our guide was funny and informative and kept us interested for the whole exercise. You end up at the lovely restaurant for a wonderful pasta meal.

What an amazing experience this was and such a value! We arrived and met our guide who was so gracious and fun right from the start! We lucked out in that we were the only two to book the experience so we had a completely private experience! Our guide started with pouring us chilled Prosecco and went in to an interesting story about the history or Rome that took us to the Pantheon and the site of Julius Caesar’s assassination. The narrative portion ended with a shared shot of limoncello. Our guide was bright, friendly, informative and held our interest throughout. As a former professional guide for Disney, I can honestly say she was top notch! She answered all our questions and was so personable. Really we couldn’t have asked for more in a guide. The tour ended with a wonderful dinner at a local restaurant (NOT a restaurant at in Piazza Navona so it was real Roman/Italian food!). Everything was delicious but the panna cotta was the best I’ve ever had by a wide margin. I’m not someone who leaves 5 star reviews lightly. This experience was truly five star! You won’t be disappointed, except maybe when the tour comes to an end. HIGHLY Recommend!

AMAZING FROM START TO FINISH!! Sylvia was a fantastic guide who was an expert storyteller. We heard a fascinating stories on the origins of Rome with some “scandalous” side notes. The walk was leisurely and beautiful. The dinner was excellent and Sylvia even spoke to the manager of the restaurant to request that he confirm a taxi back to our hotel for us at the end of dinner. When in Rome do not miss this experience!!

Fantastic. Had booked the tour with my girlfriend for our last night in Rome but she was exhausted so I went alone. Ended up being just me and one other guy. Honestly, wish it was just me cuz I could have practiced my Italian with Nihan. She is very passionate about Rome and a great storyteller. The meal was great too. Do not miss this one. I promise you will enjoy it.

This was such a lovely evening. I can’t recommend it enough. Nihan is a wealth of knowledge about Roman ar Italian history, but is also kind and thoughtful and so fun. This truly felt like an evening with friends, one of who happens to be incredibly smart and knows all kinds of good historical gossip. She also found us a surprise dude who brought a whole piano to play in the piazza, so if he’s not there, please sure to ask her about the piano (just kidding. Mostly ) The restaurant was very tasty, as was all the wine and limoncello she shared. You will go home so satisfied and of stories to share. Grazie mille, Nihan!

This was a great experience. It is still one of the highlights of my time in Rome. Nihan is able to instantly put everyone at ease and get a sense of familiarity established pretty quickly. The stories, locations, and interactions between the host and the guests are engaging and in no time you feel like you're just visiting a group of friend in Rome. I've already done it and if I find myself in Rome again, I would do this experience again. If you are a sociable person and want to have a "moment" that you will remember long after you leave Rome you should absolutely do this.

It was my first time in Rome, and I couldn't have asked for a better way to start my trip in Rome. The tour consisted of a presentation of Roman history where I learned so many things and understood what it meant to be a Roman. She personalized the presentation where we we would converse about contemporary topics and how led to the history of Rome, We also had much wine, which was amazing. Later on we went to go eat at a very nice restaurant where the bruschetta, pasta, and Tiramisu, it was probably the best Italian food I have ever had. On this experience I didn't feel as if I was a client and she was a tour guide but I felt as if we had been friends for years and she was showing us around her home of Rome. Her boyfriend was able to join us where their love for Italy introduced us to a more intimate side of Roman life, culture, and social life. I'm very grateful for her and I wish her all the best. For whomever decides to book this experience, trust me, you will not be disappointed and especially for solo travelers, she will make you feel as you are at home.

This is the best Airbnb experience I have ever done (and I’ve done many!). Why? Nihan is an incredible and personable human being! I immediately felt comfortable upon meeting Nihan and the group of people who also signed up. Right away, I knew I was in for a great night of storytelling, learning and new friendships. Speaking of storytelling, Nihan excels here! She was able to rattle off history facts as we walked through the beauties of Rome. What I really enjoyed about the storytelling was that Nihan did not hold back on the content of the history. Sometimes tour guides keep it too family-friendly, and Nihan was not shy to speak the truths about the sometimes insane history of Rome! Of course she gauged the comfort of the group first, but we were all wildly impressed and entertained with her knowledge and expertise. The restaurant Nihan booked for our group was incredible. Hands down the best carbonara and tiramisu I had on my two week trip in Italy!

This was a magical experience, if in Rome you just go on this tour with Nihan! She has created such a great night, amazing storytelling, wines, wandering thru Rome to a fantastic restaurant where I had the best carbonara ever. This was a really fun experience and I think it’s great for whether you’re at the beginning or end of your trip. If you are a solo traveler, it’s great for socializing with other travelers too. At the start Nihan shares a passionate rich knowledge of Roman history. Having some Vino while listening is a bonus! The restaurant we went to after was fantastic and not touristic: perfectly made pasta and tiramisu dessert that was over the top good! (And I’ve gorged on plenty in Italy). The highlight though is Nihan herself. All the reviews you may have read are true. She is an authentically very warm and cheerful personality. Whether you are a travel social bug or introvert, she will make sure you feel at ease and having fun: a great ambassador to what the Roman experience is about.

If I could give Nihan 100 stars I would!!! Nihan is the absolute best. Words cannot describe how incredibly talented, personable, fun, and passionate she is about history and people. Nihan truly loves her job to her core and makes sure you have the absolute best time. After just a couple of hours, I truly felt like I was out to dinner and drinks with a friend. I had so so much fun and I would recommend for anyone to tour with her, I learned so much and her tour was one of my favorite parts of my trip to Rome. After being in rome several times, Nihan's tour was my FAVORITE!!! 100000% recommend !!

One of my favorite experiences while in rome! I was a solo traveler for a few days and wanted to explore the city at night, but not alone! Found this experience and had the best time! This is a DO NOT MISSSSSSS tour in Rome. If you enjoy hearing the "behind the scenes" or "less than PC" side of history, this is totally for you. Nihan was an amazing guide and made sure that we were constantly laughing and totally engaged. The tour flew by and was over before we knew it and I personally was sad to leave.... Booked this tour for the last evening of my vacation in Rome. And it was the best end I could have had imagined for. Meet a group of interacting people and a very open minded, friendly and Sympathie Nihan. She took care of the group and told us a lot about the Roman history in a very interesting and captivating way. The wine and limoncello have been great and the dinner was amazing in a lovely place. I can highly recommend this tour as a starter for your Rome experience or as I did for the end. Even I stayed a week learned news things today. Thank you Nihan for a perfect evening in Rome.

I cannot recommend this experience enough. Nihan is a passionate story teller. Her renditions of the personal lives of Rome’s greatest emperors was delivered in such a passionate way. You can feel the love she has of her home. If you want to tantalize your tastebuds with simple yet authentically Rome gastronomical delights… and fill your eats and hear with stores not often told… then this is well worth the effort. Nihan’s English is delightful and expressive. She made us all feel like old friends. I met some colorful people from all parts of the world. I will definitely do this again when in Rome! It was THAT special.

Our guide was an enthusiastic and generous woman that made the entire tour group feel attend to and appreciated. She created an atmosphere that celebrated our curiosity and glorified the history of Rome. Everyone in the group felt welcome to chime in with questions and conversation. By the end of the tour, we had all become close friends. Our guide was flexible and generous with her schedule and helpful with advice regarding other attractions. Everyone in the tour agreed that it was the best and most inclusive tour they had been on, ever, not just in Rome. Guide was very knowledgeable and funny during the whole experience. After drinking wine on a beautiful square we heard her tell stories of old Roman times. She was quite knowledgeable of actual history as well as tall tales which made the experience all the more interesting. After storytelling and three bottles of wine we headed to dinner at one of the best restaurants in Rome. After dinner she took us to the place where Julius Caesar was murdered by his Senate. To wrap up the night she gave us a popular Italian after dinner drink. She really made the experience of magical night.

Nina did a great job introducing Roman history to my wife and I who hadn’t taken classic history in years. She walked us through the streets of Rome tying in interesting stories from the cities ruling elite making the history palpable and most importantly enjoyable. Cherry on top of this tour is being taken to a great dining location with what was one of our best diners of our trip.

Nihan was very knowledgeable and engaging, sharing interesting pieces Roman History. Loved the restaurant and food as well. She was very good at engaging the group as a whole. She made it a very fun evening out. This is a very good way to meet new people, and learn about Rome and its history.

For our first full day in Italy of our 2 week trip, me and my friends decided to take this tour based on the good price for a tour which includes a full course Roman dinner as well as history telling part. It was AWESOME! We had Nina as our guide and were with a wonderful friendly group. It was so much more than a food tour... Nina shared stories from Rome’s history in a very entertaining and interesting way, current events in Rome and her opinions as a local. She gave us a tasty Prosecco at the beginning to start the night and then took us to a lovely real Italian restaurant near to Pantheon. Our tour lasted well into 4 hours just because we asked so many questions and didn't want to stop. Come with an empty stomach and be prepared to be full. That Roman dinner is wonderful, especially the typical Roman pasta CARBONARA! I would do this tour again in a heartbeat. By far, the best thing we did with our limited time in Rome. Gratzia Nina!
