Our professional Italian chef, Marzia, was wonderful. Our class started with a glass of prosecco and a tiramisu lesson. We then learned how to make fresh egg pasta. She was funny and patient. Great class for adults with little to no experience. We finished our class with wine, cacio e pepe, carbonara, and tiramisu. Marzia made us feel confident and celebratory. Would take another class with Marzia if we were staying longer in Rome. The highlight of our trip!!

Gio is an excellent chef and an even better instructor. With what we learned in the preparation of our pasta, sauces and tiramisu along with the techniques we are planning a large family meal just to show it all off.
This experience was absolutely AMAZING! Jennifer was the perfect host and teacher l. She was kind and helpful and very very fun! I highly recommend this experience for all levels of cooking ability.
Very welcoming and informational tour into all the tips and tricks about pasta and tiramisu making! Would definitely do another class!
We really enjoyed our pasta class. It was one of our favorite activities of our trip tough Rome. Great fun and very nice people. Thank you so much and please send recipes.
Sherri and Ingar were fantastic. They were fun, welcoming and really knowledgeable. It was a diverse group and they made sure everyone learned the skills and had a great time. The food and wine were delicious - such a great afternoon. Highly recommended.
This was a wonderful experience! I learned how beautiful simple cooking can be and it was so much fun! I cannot recommend Sunaz enough, she was wonderful! Thank you!
What a fun time we had making homemade pasta and tiramisu! This was a great and delicious experience! The ladies made it very fun and interactive! Would love to do this again!
Sherry and Angela were fabulous instructors. Very pleasant and helpful. Made cooking fun. And glasses of Prosecco were kept full. Tour was enjoyable and delicious.
My adult family had a great time with Ida learning how to make some amazing pasta and sauces. We all said that this really was a lot of fun with good food and drinks and Ida was the best!
The class and our instructor was great! However make sure the restaurant can make accommodations for those that are not participating in class when it comes time to eat. Even the waitress was a little put out when we tried to tell her, our instructor even tried to tell them. Restaurant and waitress really kinda of ruined for us (party of 4).
Fun experience. Food was delicious and probably the best pasta we had in Italy. Would highly recommend.
My husband and I booked this as a fun experience and we had the best time! We were given wine upon arrival and all throughout the class. Our chef, Marzi, was so sweet and made us feel welcome. The food of course turned out amazing and will forever remember this experience. Excited to replicate the past and tiramisu dishes at home!
This cooking class was the highlight of our time in Rome! We had so much fun making a delicious meal and our instructor was great.
Great time and great food. The chef was awesome. I’m somewhat of a pasta carbonara professional. This was the best I’ve ever had. A few recommendations for the host- maybe music during the downtime, a little more wine while during the prep work (kneading the pasta), and maybe try to get some more conversation going between the guests. Small recs, though. All in all it was a great night.
What an amazing experience - we had a great group and a highly talented instructor. The pasta and tiramisu was SO GOOD!! Wine was also good :)
Fun and simple recipes that anyone could make. Loved the pasta and tiramisu and that you could eat what you made there!
OMG this is a must do! Did this cooking class with my daughter and we absolutely loved it! Marcella was friendly fun and made this a great experience. We had a group of 8 which was great everyone was so friendly, what a great way to learn a little Italian Cooking. Can recommend this enough! 5 Stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lovely people teaching you how to cook simple pasta completely from scratch — the teaching was excellent and the food was wonderful. Would recommend this class to anyone looking to learn a few classic Roman dishes that’ll wow people when you get home.
We had the best experience taking this cooking class! I booked this class for my mom and I and we had so much fun and we learned how to make homemade pasta and tiramisu. The chef marcel was amazing she was so kind and such a great teacher! We really had a great time in the class and I would highly recommend it!!
Had the greatest experience doing this class. Marco and Gabi were so helpful, everyone was so kind, and we had an absolute blast—and the delicious food was the cherry on top!
This was such a fun experience, having never made pasta or tiramisu before I feel like it was appropriate to do so for the first time in Italy! The hosts were lovely, welcoming, and great at teaching how to cook the food. Although the group size was good, the venue was a tad on the small size. Overall though, a lovely experience I would recommend!
Great evening learning about pasta and tiramisu. I enjoyed that it was a smaller group. Wish it had been a little more hands-on with the sauces prep, but it was still enjoyable
Loved learning how to make pasta and tiramisu! Recipes were easy and the instructions were excellent. We got to eat our own pasta in whatever sauce we wanted afterwards. Done in a group of about 12 when we were there. Super fun and you will never want to eat boxed pasta again after this! Why not learn how to DIY!
Catarina was a great cooking instructor. The recipes were simple but delicious. She showed us how easy it was to make delicious pasta and tiramisu. My daughter, who is 13, loves to cook and really enjoyed the interactivity of the event and being able to eat what she made. We give it 2 forks up!
A real highlight of our trip in Italy, our pizza class will be a wonderful memory, that we will share with others when preparing our pizzas at home with the Roman delicious crust with crunch!
This was big highlight of my trip with my girlfriend. We only stayed in Rome for a few days and wanted to learn how to make pizza, and it was well worth booking! Thank you guys for making our day memorable.
A truly great and entertaining class! From making the dough to sprinkling parmiggiano on top, every detail was explained perfectly. Would recommend to everybody who loves pizza and would like to learn how to make it at home like an Italian.
We loved this replacement of a simple dinner experience with an interactive workshop. Great food and amazing company. We highly recommend!
I really loved this class. I received a warm welcome and enjoyed learning how to make different pizzas. Delicious! Highly recommended.
We were on a family trip to Rome and decided to spend our final day as a low-key adventure doing some shopping and ending with a cooking class experience. The great: 1. The pizza was DELICIOUS. Note that you’ll be eating pre-prepared dough. The dough that you make is not what you’ll eat because it requires 48 hours to allow the yeast to rise. 2. I really enjoyed learning how to make the dough and am excited to try making it when we get home! 3. It was also fun cooking it in a real restaurant. 4. We really enjoyed meeting the other students, and Caterina was very nice. The not-so-great (nothing was “bad”): 1. I’m pretty sure we were unknowingly moved to a different cooking class company than the one we signed up with, so I’m not even sure my review is relevant for this company. I suspect this because none of the instructors mentioned in the other reviews for this class were there, the company names were different, the location was changed, the time was changed from 6pm to 3:30pm, the class size was 12 instead of the maximum of 10 quoted for the experience, and a number of other clues indicated this was likely the case. 2. The gelato that we made was not very good at all and felt like an afterthought to the experience (maybe because it was a different company?). After we left, we stopped and got real gelato on the way back to our hotel. 3. We were served Bruschetta, but did not learn how to make it as part of the class. This was a little misleading and disappointing, but perhaps I just misread the class description and we were never supposed to make it. It’s a pretty basic recipe, but we enjoy learning techniques or tips as part of the experience. What was served was delicious though! 4. It was very hot in the restaurant, especially with having to wear a mask the whole time. I know they can’t control summer weather nor the mask mandates, so by no means am I faulting them there. But there was an AC unit, and they chose to leave it off. Instead, they opened the doors, which provided minimal air movement and caused a lot of sweating. Would I do the experience again? Definitely… but would only do the pizza and skip the gelato. Again — I don’t know if I’m truly reviewing this company or one that they handed us off to without telling us, so my apologies if this inaccurately describes the normal experience you get. I can only speak to the experience we had with the company we thought we signed up with and is tied to our reservation. TL;DR — yummy pizza, skip the gelato, super hot in the restaurant, and not sure the company we signed up with was the same as who taught the class.
Had such a lovely food tour with Republic Experiences! Our guides, Oli and Bruce, showed us some great little gems preferred by the locals away from the big crowds of tourists, and taught us a great deal about the history of Roman food and the city itself! The whole experience was laid back and relaxing, with both Oli and Bruce being super chatty, knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions we had. Another thing we loved about the tour was that it's done in smaller groups (there was 6 of us in total), which not only made it more personal but was great considering the circumstances of the pandemic. Overall, we had a fantastic time on the food tour and highly recommend it! Thanks guys.
They took us to all the little stores and restaurants that we never would have found. Nice guide. Lots of information about authentic Italian food. Very helpful.
My husband and I have been on a few food tours. Usually, it’s a crowded affair with at least 12 participants. It’s the first time that a food tour felt like we were meeting a new friend who is showing us his hometown and the places he loves to eat. There were just the three of us- me, my husband, and sister-in-law. Instead of our guide, Bruce, spewing information after information, we had casual conversations about Roman food and culture, as well as sharing bits about life in the United States (home) and the UK (where Bruce is from). Bruce led us mostly to places that both locals and tourists flock to. Roman food is generally simple, affordable, and tasty like pizza rosso. On this tour, we had a taste of Italian cured meats accompanied by red wine, 3 types of pizza, zuppli, 2 types of pasta dishes, gelato, Italian coffee, and pastry. The place that left an impression is PaStation . With an English sounding name, one would easily brush it off as an inauthentic Italian pasta place. But their pasta Amatriciana is very good, and their Cacio e Pepe is better than the one we had in Trastevere. At the end of the tour, we were very full with barely enough space for coffee and pastry. We had an enjoyable experience learning a bit about Roman food. Thank you, Bruce, and Roman Adventure! It was worth spending a few hours with you!!

Bruce and Oli were a great duo. The tour was well planned out and the food variety was great! A much better option than just sitting down for lunch! You also get some great history as a bonus.
We enjoyed the experience with Roman Adventure! And was super full after! Pizza and pasta is the best food in the world! And this was the best of it!
We joined the food tour with my friends from Home trough airbnb. We had a grest time! There is so much more to italian food than you expect! The pasta was sooooo good!
We really enjoyed seeing Rome in this unique and interesting way! And it was a great way of having a tour and lunch at the same time!
The food was really amazing. And we loved the trip through the small streets of Rome! Bruce and Oliver were a great duo their enthusiasm for food certainly showed! Thank you for the best pasta! Gracias!
Thank you for an Amazing experience. The food and locations were incredible! I loved the gelato. Bruce and Oliver were great to be around.
The tour offered a perfect way to taste some of Roman's most iconic foods and famous institutions. We visited spots preparing classic food for 100 years. My favorite was the pizza at Roscioli. Also, my tour guide Bruce was a blast and knew a lot about the history of Roman food and the current restaurant scene. Since I liked Roscioli so much, Bruce recommended that I check out Pizzeria Emma, a sit-down pizza restaurant by the same owner. The Rome Adventure food tour is a must-do for anybody visiting Rome with an appetite for some of the city's best food.
We had an amazing time with Bruce. We really enjoyed the variety of the food and quality. Our favorite stop was the Pasta place- it was really delicious. We could even watch how was our dish prepared. 100% recommend this tour for legitimate Roman food. Thanks for using our photo :)
I booked this tour for myself and my dad who was visiting Rome. We wanted to get a real feel for Roman food! This tour did not disappoint! I tasted things that I didn’t know existed! I loved the “supplì” ! Oliver and Bruce are great hosts, and really enjoyed their insight to the culinary scene in Rome!
Amazing tour! The food was incredible! We really felt the taste of Italy. And the value was extremely good as we didn’t need dinner after! The guide Oliver was a pleasure to be with. Thank you Roman adventure :)
The cooking class at Marzia was great! Marzia is a great cook and has led the course wonderfully. The pasta and the tiramisu tasted very good to us.
We stayed 3 days, it was probably the best part of the whole stay. A very welcoming and caring team, an exceptional chef, a memorable experience and that I recommend to anyone who comes to Rome. Another big thank you to Marzia for her culinary art and knowledge!
